Abstract

This study aims to partially test whether there are differences in the decision of buy signals and sell signals before and after using the technical analysis of Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) and Stochastic Oscillator (SO) on the LQ45 stock index listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Banking subsector for the 2018-2022 period. This study used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test difference test with a total sample of 4 companies. The research method used is quantitative descriptive comparative type with secondary data. Data selection using purposive sampling and processed using IBM SPSS software version 20.0. The results of this study show that there is a difference in the decision of buy signals and sell signals before and after using MACD technical analysis and there is no difference in the decision of buy signals and sell signals before and after using SO technical analysis. So the implication is that MACD is not accurate, while SO is accurate used in buying signals and selling stock signals. The contribution of the results of this study is empirical evidence that investors do not need to always use MACD and need to always use SO in buying signals and selling stock signals.

Abstract

The value of a company or business entity can reflect the condition and achievement of the business entity's goals. There are many aspects that are considered capable of influencing company value, some of which are Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and company size. This study seeks to explain how these aspects interact to influence company value. The research method used is quantitative by utilizing the annual reports of energy sector companies listed on the IDX for 2018-2022. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling and a sample of 16 companies was obtained. The data in this study was analyzed using the Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method using SmartPLS 3 software. The results of the study analysis prove that ESG and ROA disclosures are able to influence company value with a positive and significant influence, then ROE has not affected the value of a company. Apart from that, company size is unable to provide a moderating effect on the interaction between ESG disclosure, ROA or ROE with company value. However, even though the findings in this study show that there are aspects that have not been able to influence the value of a company, companies still have to pay attention to these aspects for the sustainability of their business in the future.

Abstract

Emotion regulation refers to the process of how one's emotions are formed and how individuals express these emotions. Research on measuring emotion regulation strategies is still focused on managing everyday problems, and there is no measurement of emotion regulation for children and adolescents in Indonesia that can be used. Therefore, valid and reliable measurements are needed. The Emotion Regulation Questionnaire for Children and Adolescents (ERQ-CA) is a standard measurement instrument developed by Gullone and Taffe from the adult version to the child and adolescent version to measure the difference in the use of emotional regulation strategies. This study was conducted to evaluate the psychometric properties of the adapted ERQ-CA instrument for Indonesian children and adolescents. Data were collected with a convenience sampling technique. Ten items were administered to 140 children and adolescents between 12 and 18 years of age, of whom 69.3% were female and 35.7% were in the first year of high school. ERQ-CA uses a 5 point likert scale consisting of two dimensions: cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression. The results of CFA showed that 9 of 10 ERQ-CA items showed a good goodness of fit model (CFI = .970; GFI = .846; SRMR = .024; NFI = .962). The ERQ-CA instrument had good internal consistency reliability with Cronbach’s alpha ranging from 0.45 to 0.98, and acceptable test-retest reliability with the item discrimination all greater than 0.22. It can be concluded that the Indonesian version of the ERQ-CA has good psychometric properties, so that it can be used to measure the emotion regulation strategies of children and adolescents in Indonesia.
