Abstract

A person's food consumption pattern can be influenced by a person's income. The quality of the population's food consumption can be reflected in the amount of the expected food pattern score (PPH). One of the business sectors that often experience fluctuations in income is tofu agroindustry. This study was conducted to determine the socioeconomic characteristics of the household and to determine the household food consumption pattern of Tofu Agroindustry in Petung Village, Bangsalsari District, Jember Regency. The sampling method used the Slovin method and the sampling method used the accidental method. This study uses primary data obtained using the interview method and analyzed descriptively. PPH calculation is carried out according to the PPH scoring formula and the National PPH Composition table. The results showed that (1) the socio-economic characteristics of tofu agroindustry households included: the average household income of tofu agroindustry was Rp. 60,129.00 in the low category because it was still below the minimum wage, the average number of family members was 5 people, the average age the average housewife is 45 years old, and the length of education is 9 years; (2) the PPH score is 82.66, which means that the household food consumption pattern of tofu agroindustry in Petung Village, Bangsalsari District, Jember Regency is still not diverse and balanced.

Abstract

One of the agricultural commodities in Indonesia which is a potential commodity is the rice plant commodity. The purpose of this study was to determine how much the cost, revenue, income of the field rice farming and how much the efficiency of the cost of the farm rice farming and what factors influence farmers' interest in upland rice cultivation in Ranuyoso Village, Ranuyoso District, Lumajang Regency. The basic method of this research is using purposive sample method. data collection by interview, direct observation and documentation. The analysis used is revenue analysis which includes cost and revenue analysis and multiple linear regression analysis t-test, F-test (ANOVA) and R-test using the SPSS version 16 computer program. shown are the factors that influence the cultivation of upland rice in Ranuyoso Village, Ranuyoso District, Lumajang Regency are the factors of capital and income factors, while the factors that do not affect are the factors of land area and fertilizer prices.

Abstract

Land area which greatly influences the quantity of production results. With notes, farmers can manage their farms well. Farmers also need knowledge about the farms they manage, in order to increase the quantity of production. One way is that farmers can join and actively participate in activities in farmer groups. This study aims to determine the role of farmer group activities and business units in increasing the income of member farmers. The research site is the Kenongo Mukti Farmer Group, which is located in Kajarharjo Village, Kalibaru District, Banyuwangi Regency. This research uses descriptive analysis method. The sampling method in this study using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the Kenongo Mukti farmer group had several group activities, including (1) Agricultural Extension, (2) Training, (3) Agro Learning, (4) GP-PTT, (5) Partnership or Cooperation, (6) Meeting Routine, and (7) Capital. The group business units include (1) UPJA, (2) Distribution of Prodi, and (3) Marketing of Production Products. Farmers consider that group activities and business units have a supportive role in increasing the income of their members. It is hoped that the Kenongo Mukti Farmer Group will continue to be consistent in carrying out its vision and mission. And it can be used as an example by other farmer groups, so that it can help the community, especially farmers, to be more prosperous.

Abstract

Mushrooms are one type of horticultural products that can be developed and directed to be able to improve the nutritional state of society. Oyster mushrooms are a safe food to consume due to the relatively little use of pesticides and chemicals. Efficient marketing channels are influenced by the relevant marketing institutions in them. The purpose of this study is (1) Analyzing the income efficiency of white oyster mushroom farming in Barokah Jaya, (2) Knowing the marketing chain of white oyster mushrooms in Barokah Jaya and (3) Analyzing the marketing efficiency of oyster mushrooms in Barokah Jaya. The sampling method used in this study is purposive sampling technique that is sampling with the aim of businesses. Based on the results of the analysis of the efficiency of oyster mushroom farming revenue from 2015 to 2019 R/C ratio is greater than one. The highest R/C ratio in 2018 was R/C ratio over Total Cost of 9.4 and R/C cash cost ratio of 12.5. In 2015, 2016 and 2019 with the lowest R/C ratio of R/C ratio over Total Cost of 8.54 and R/C cash cost ratio of 10.9. Barokah Jaya has two marketing channels, farmer's share channel pattern one in 2015, 2016 and 2019 by 70.00 percent in 2017 by 75.00 percent and in 2018 by 71.05 percent. Farmer's share of channel two patterns in 2015, 2016 and 2019 was 77.8 percent, 2017 was 80.00 percent and 2018 was 79.4 percent. Of the two marketing channels above the most profitable are in the second marketing channel pattern.

Abstract

This researchaims to determine the financial value of goat and sheep business, to compare goat and sheep livestock business finances, and to determine the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the finances of goat and sheep farming. This research was conducted on the goat and sheep business in the district Wuluhan, Jember regency in January 2021. This researchuses the method of financial analysis, namely analysis of fixed costs, variable costs, revenue, income, and R/C ratio, and BEP (Breack Even Point). The higher the scale of market demand, the higher the income. Differences receipts and income from goats and sheep, the differences are more.The financial results of goat and sheep business in 2019,2020 have increased, where in 2019 the income of goats is 27,437,000, and sheep income is 30,413,000. Big goat income 49,493,000, sheep income 38,237,000. The R/C of the goat breed ratio is 1.3 and the sheep ratio is 1.4. This states that this livestock business is very feasible to do.

Abstract

“Comparative Analysis Of The Cane Farm Varietes Bl (Bulu Lawang) And PS 862 In Sebaung Village, Gending Sub-District, Probolinggo District.” That was taken from a real accurance, that most of farmers are prefer to planting both the varietes with many reason. The purpose of this research is to find out the income ratio of the farm cane farm bussines. Between farm varietes Bl (Bulu lawang) and PS 862. This research also using dercriptive analysis. Dercriptive analysis is a research method to researching a group of human, object, or event. The first instrument that used in this research is question for 30 farmers from each varietes. Method used in this sampling research is simply random sampling. Based on the result of the comparative analysis that using analysis test T Statistic, the result obtained is sig (2 tailed) 1,82 and 1,83. So tahat it can be interpreted if from the result of the analysis Ho : µBL same as NPST ˃0,05 so that ho accepted in the meaning of (There’s no significant differences). While from Ha : µBL is not as same as µPS. So that conclution can be drawn that average income both of them are same of the testing (sta4tistic). Based on the hypotesis know that each farmers varietes Bl (Bulu lawang) and PS 862 have the chance in every harvest. This statement proved fit with the testing that’s been done.

Abstract

Salak is one of the commodities that exist in Indonesia which was developed around the 1980s with sweet and crunchy. Jember Regency is one of the salak producers, precisely in Salakan Hamlet in Semboro Village, where 95% of the people produce salak. The aims of this research are (1). To find out supply chain activities on salak in Salakan Hamlet, (2). To find out the existing marketing margin for Salak in Salakan Hamlet, (3). To find out the efficiency of the Salak Marketing Channel in Salakan Hamlet. The sampling method used in this study is the random sampling method. The results of this study indicate that 1) Marketing channels in Dusun Salakan has 2 channels, namely: Channel I (producer-retailer-consumer), Channel II (producer-collector-traders-retailer-consumer). 2) Margins for each marketing channel I are 1500/kg, while the margins for channel II are 1500 and 2500/kg. 3) the marketing channel in salak which has the most efficient level of efficiency is channel I which is 8.33%. And the highest or most inefficient is channel  II  by 9.74%. So an effective supply chain is to use a short marketing chain so that marketing costs can be suppressed and marketing profits are higher.

Abstract

Currently the world is shocked by the emergence of COVID-19 which has forced the government to adopt policies to minimize transmission of the virus, by reducing activities outside the home. In the midst of this pandemic, many people are starting to try something new or an interesting side, to relieve fatigue at home. One of them is a side interest in collecting various ornamental plants. A new hobby during this pandemic, many people buy various types of ornamental plants, for example in Ajung Village, Kalisat District, many people care for and buy ornamental plants. The purpose of this research is to find out what income or strategy is used by the ornamental plant business in sales at the Naraya Garden flower shop. The selection of the research location was carried out purposively, or at least deliberately considering the pre-survey being led. And based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the average income before and during the pandemic. And the strategy that must be applied in this condition is to support an aggressive growth policy. The strategies that will be carried out are: Conduct socialization/training to attract the younger generation. To produce quality products, land expansion is carried out to increase the number of workers.

Abstract

Soto Ayam Lamongan is a typical food from the city of Lamongan, East Java which has now spread to various regions in Indonesia, one of which is in the city of Jember. The determination of the research area was carried out purposively. The sampling method is purposive sampling using 6 respondents (1 business owner, 3 consumers who have culinary knowledge, and 2 similar but advanced or developing entrepreneurs). The analytical tools used are SWOT analysis and Grand Strategy. Based on the results of research from Cak Kulin Lamongan's Original Kampung Chicken Soto business, it is necessary to have a development strategy (S-O) and from the grand strategy diagram it shows that the Lamongan Original Kampung Chicken Soto business is at point (0.311 : 0.407 ) in quadrant I which shows a profitable position by continuing to carry out an aggressive development strategy, can increase businesses that use strategy (S-O) as a strength to take existing opportunities.
