Abstract

Siamese oranges in Umbulsari District are citrus fruit production centers in Jember Regency. Therefore, this study aims to determine the structure, behavior and performance of the citrus fruit market in the District of Umbulsari. The analysis used is descriptive analysis with the SCP approach. The analysis of market structure looks at the number of market participants, product differentiation, market information, barriers to market entry and exit and market concentration ratios. In the analysis of market behavior look at the pricing system of each marketing channel and price correlation. The results of the research show that the market structure in Umbulsari District leads to an oligopsony market. In market behavior, there are 3 marketing channels, the position of farmers as price takers and middlemen as price makers, the correlation value of grade A is 0.942 and grade B is 0.764, close to zero, so the relationship between prices at the two market levels is less close. Market performance shows that marketing channel I is the most efficient, but based on field results in Umbulsari District, marketing channel III is the most dominated by farmers.

Abstract

Serang Village, Karangreja Sub-district, Purbalingga Regency is one of the best-performing villages at the national level because in 2013 it was successfully selected as the winner of Pakarti Utama I at the National Level in the Best Implementing Competition for Yard Yard Utilization (Heart of PKK) Regency Category. Serang village farmers first planted strawberries in 2003. The first seeds to be planted came from the remaining strawberry plantations of PT. Zeta Agro. Until now, Serang Village has been developed as a strawberry tourism village. This study aims to analyze the strategy of developing strawberry garden agribusiness in Seran Village, Purbalingga Regency. The research design is qualitative, with case study research techniques. Data collection methods used are interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of internal factors and external factors from the strawberry plantation agribusiness development strategy in Serang Village, it can be divided into four strategies, namely Strengths-Opportunities (S-O), Weaknesses-Opportunities (W-O), Strengths-Threats (S-T) and Weaknesses-Threats (W-T).

Abstract

The success of farming is inseparable from several things, one of which is the factor that influences the income of the carp hatchery business, this is to support the increase in carp production in Sidomulyo Village, Semboro District, Jember Regency. The problems faced are related to cultivation that is not optimal, not knowing what factors affect income in their business. This study aims to determine what factors affect income in the long term and short term. Data collection uses existing secondary data.Respondents in this study used purposive sampling, namely 1 respondent. The results of the analysis use the Error Correction Model analysis where the variable number of seeds, demand, pelleted feed, silk worms, and organic supplements that are significant in the long term are the demand variable with a probability value of 0.0000<0.5 and pelleted feed with a probability value of 0.0289<0.5, while in the short term, what is significant is the demand variable with a probability value of 0.0005 <0.5.Based on the results of the study, the variables that have a significant effect on income in the long term are demand and pellet feed, while in the short term, demand.

Abstract

From a marketing perspective, the Mekarsari salted egg home industry is believed to have found a market gap, but it is not known where the owner sells salted eggs, whether it has a good level of efficiency, and what kind of marketing strategy is suitable for advancing its business. Research Objectives: To find out marketing channels, the level of marketing channel efficiency, and its marketing strategy in the Mekarsari salted egg home industry in Sumbersari sub-district, Jember district. The research method used descriptive qualitative analysis, and data analysis by observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed that there were 3 marketing channel patterns for Mekarsari salted eggs, namely marketing channel I from producers to resellers (sales) to consumers, marketing channel II from producers to catering (housewives and food stalls) to consumers, marketing channel III from producers directly to consumers. And marketing channel I is very efficient because the efficiency value is 3.33%.Meanwhile, the results of the TOWS analysis obtained four alternative strategies consisting of SO, ST, WO, WT strategies. It can be concluded in the Grand Strategy matrix, the alternative strategies mentioned include the in the categories of market penetration strategy, market development, or product development.

Abstract

Chili is a commodity that is much loved by most people in Indonesia, besides that this one plant is easy to cultivate. Jember Regency is one of the chili producing places, precisely in Kalisat District with a cultivation area of around 521 ha. The aims of this research are (1). To find out the distribution flow of the Cayenne Pepper supply chain at Kalisat Market, Jember Regency, (2). To find out the Marketing Margin of Cayenne Pepper in the Jember Regency Kalaisat Market, (3). To find out the Efficiency of the Cayenne Pepper Marketing Channel at Kalisat Market, Jember Regency. The sampling method used in this research is purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that 1) There are 2 marketing channels in Kalisat Market, namely: Channel I (Farmers/Producers-Resellers-Traders-Consumers), Channel II (Producers-Retailers-Consumers). 2) Margin for each marketing channel I is IDR 7,000, while Channel II is IDR. 3,000. 3) Efficiency Efficient marketing channel channel 1 is equal to 20% while channel II is equal to 8%. So the supply chain is used effectively, namely short channels because the costs incurred are not so large and high marketing profits can be suppressed

Abstract

The progress of a country can be seen through its economic growth, where Economic Growth is one of the determining indicators of success in economic development. Economic activities are efforts to improve the welfare of society, and with increasing economic growth, the needs of the people can be fulfilled. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the areas of focus for the government and society at large because MSMEs play an important role. MSMEs are a way to address poverty issues and drive economic growth. Moreover, MSMEs provide another avenue for job creation. Indonesia has a significant number of business players, but there are several factors that can hinder their business activities, such as limited capital, low-quality resources, inefficient production systems, lack of financial management systems, inadequate marketing strategies, and a shortage of business premises. This study aims to analyze and determine the influence of Business Duration, Capital, and Technology on the income of business actors in the CFD event in Kalisat Village. The results of the study show that the variables of Business Duration, Capital, and Technology have a positive effect, and only the Capital variable has a significant impact on the income of business actors.

Abstract

Marketing snake fruit does not require special techniques, but it still requires attention, as is the case in Kendalan Hamlet. However, the lack of marketing channel information and lack of knowledge about it means that people pay less attention to the efficiency of the business. The aim of this research is to determine the marketing channels for salak, the marketing efficiency of salak in Kendalan Hamlet, Semboro Village, Semboro District, Jember Regency. The research method used is marketing efficiency analysis. The results and discussion show that the marketing channel pattern used in Kendalan Hamlet, Semboro District, Jember Regency uses two types of salak marketing channels, a) Marketing channel I: salak farmers/producers - traders - final consumers. b) Marketing channel II: salak farmers/producers – traders I – Traders II - final consumers. Marketing channel pattern I with an efficient value of 7.03%, and marketing channel II with an efficient value of 13.05%. It can be concluded that marketing channel I with a value of 7.03% is more efficiently used as a marketing channel for salak in Kendalan Hamlet, Semboro District.

Abstract

Soybeans are basically processed by the community into semi-finished foods, namely tempeh and tofu, and also into ready-to-eat foods such as soy milk. The people of Jember have a good interest in soy milk, as can be seen from the market share in Jember Regency which is quite good. MSME soy milk entrepreneurs located in Jember still produce it traditionally. Apart from that, the packaging and labeling used is still simple using plastic, so research into soy milk processing is needed to increase the added value of the product. One of the soy milk derivative products is ice cream. The aim of this research was to determine the overrun and melting power of soy milk ice cream and to determine the organoleptic properties of soy milk ice cream. Based on the results of organoleptic test calculations, the variable color, aroma, taste and texture that has a significant influence on the liking of soy milk ice cream is aroma because it has an F Hit value of 3.84 > F Tab 5% 3.19, which means it has an influence. The second most significant preference for soy milk ice cream is the flavor which has an F Hit value of 7.71 > F Tab 1% 5.08 and F Tab 5% 3.19. Which means it has a very real influence on the preference for soy milk ice cream.

Abstract

The Business Model Canvas (BMC) is a strategic management tool for quickly and easily defining and communicating a business idea or concept. The research objectives were (1) to find out the Business Model Canvas (BMC) for the crystal guava business in Suci Village, Panti District (2) to find out the SWOT analysis for the crystal guava business in Suci Village, Panti District. The research method is to use descriptive analysis, and data analysis by observation, interviews and questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that the harvest is in demand by all groups ranging from children, adults and the elderly. Because it tastes sweet, crunchy and the price is cheap compared to other crystal guava sellers. The results of the SWOT analysis are increasing increasing capital, increasing production and innovating products derived from crystal guava and increasing marketing with good consumer perception so that it can be increased more intensely by promoting it to new consumers.

Abstract

Providing assistance with rice seeds and liquid fertilizer in Setail Village will begin in 2021. This research aims to determine income in one harvest and the differences before and after receiving assistance. The time for data collection was carried out in December 2022 for rice farmers who received seed and liquid fertilizer assistance in Setail Village, Genteng District. The location was determined based on the number of rice farmers receiving seed and liquid fertilizer assistance in Setail Village. This research uses primary and secondary data. The analytical method used is Income Analysis and Paired Samples T-Test. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded as follows: 1. TR > TC value, so it can be said that the income from rice farming in Setail Village, Genteng District is profitable. 2. The results of the paired simple t-test analysis show that the significance value of the test is 0.000, which is smaller than the real level value, namely 0.05 or 5%, so there is a difference in income between before and after receiving seed and liquid fertilizer assistance.
