Abstract

This paper is about the Psychology Universitas Negeri Jakarta Community Service team's activity in Tanjung Sari Village, Bogor Regency, West Java, as an effort to solve hygiene and environmental problems there. In this activity, children as the next generation were included as the target to apply clean and healthy behaviours for sustainable environmental hygiene. Activities were designated in interactive and exciting presentations, practices, games, and prizes for participants (elementary school students). As a result, there was enthusiasm for the activities and increased participants' understanding to apply in everyday life.

Abstract

Due to the impact of the pandemic, one of the problems that have arisen is the level of stress experienced by mothers, especially in accompanying their children full-time at home, as experienced by mothers in the Pasirtanjung area. Stressful conditions on the mother can negatively impact optimizing maternal care for children, resulting in less than optimal child development. Therefore, psychoeducation is needed to help mothers overcome stressful conditions related to parenting. This psychoeducational activity aims to provide knowledge and skills regarding parenting stress management to mothers during a pandemic in the Pasirtanjung area. With this psychoeducation, mothers can understand and manage the stress that arises in various conditions related to caring for their children so mothers can be more relaxed and more optimal in caring for their children. In addition, ifthe mother can provide optimal care, the child's development will develop optimally. We delivered psychoeducation through a presentation with question-and-answer sessions and video screenings related to stress management. Also, there was a relaxation practice so that mothers feel relaxed. The participants were 31 PKK mothers in Pasirtanjung. Data analysis used the T-test with SPSS 25.00. The results showed no differences in stress levels before and after psychoeducation. There were also no differences in understanding of parenting stress before and after stress management training in parenting. In conclusion, there was no difference in stress levels or understanding related to parenting stress before and after the implementation of psychoeducation. Education level is an essential factor that impacts participants' understanding of the material provided; thus, it needs to be adapted more to the participant's ability.

Abstract

Economical problem is the root of other problems such as social, culture and human resource. Hence, it needs to be solved in nation building plan. Village of Pasirtanjung, in district of Tanjungsari Bogor, West Java has prioritized human resource enhancement through even distrubution of Education and improvement in civil economic growth. There are some solutions to address this economical problem and to improve civil economic growth. One of the solutions is to empower the society to become entrepreneur or business person. To be an entrepreneur or business person does not take a money capital only. Beside money capital, it takes an entrepreneur skill so individual be able to run the business successfully and profitable. As our community service program, Village of Pasirtanjung, in district of Tanjungsari Bogor, West Java, has some potencies to enhance entrepreneur skills. Hence, this community service program focuses on the enhancement of entrepreneur skill of business person, as a solution to enhance human resource capacity and improve civil economic growth. The outcome of this community service is evidence of entrepreneur skill improvement, activity video, and cooperation agreement.

Abstract

The purpose of community service in Pasirtanjung Village, Tanjungsari District, Bogor Regency, West Java, is to improve the skills of UMKM in information technology to be able to compete in the current era of technological and information development. The implementation of the activity was carried out at the Village Head's Office which was attended by as many as 40 entrepreneur. This method of community service is carried out directly through the provision of skills training materials and access to capital. The results of this community service are quite good, as can be seen from the enthusiasm of UMKM in following the process of providing material. This activity is expected to be able to provide skills to UMKM so that they are able to compete in the era of increasingly rapid development of information technology. Abstract

This paper is about the implementation of community service activities carried out by lecturers of the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Negeri Jakarta for the general public. Community service activities are carried out by making animated videos about Human Philosophy. Rumors circulating in society that studying philosophy is difficult and can lead people to get lost in religion need to be changed. Though Human Philosophy essentially invites people to think critically and logically. A thing that is needed in today's era. Therefore, an animated video with an attractive appearance and light language is made to increase people's understanding of Human Philosophy, so that these stigmas can change. Animated videos are created and uploaded on the YouTube page to make it easier for the general public to access them. As a result, of all the people who filled out the feedback questionnaire, there were 52% of the people who thought that the video was very clear and able to increase their understanding.

Abstract

The paradigm shift in the Indonesian education system where teacher-centered learning is transitioning towards student-centered learning is emphasized in schools. However, many teachers still adhere to the old paradigm in their teaching practices. The main challenges faced are the lack of awareness and difficulties in implementing the new paradigm. The objective of this community empowerment is to change these perceptions through direct classroom training. The focus of the activity at SMA 1 Pangkalan - Karawang is to enhance teachers’ awareness of students' ability to ask questions and seek academic support in the classroom. The participation of 27 teachers from different levels and subjects in this services resulted findings that significant teaching strategies tailored to students' needs can encourage student questioning in the classroom. Furthermore, teachers were able to identify students’ needs and provide knowledge and questioning skills that encourage the development of independent learners. The outcomes of this activity include increased teacher awareness of the importance of student questioning behavior, leading to a shift in mindset and departure from the old paradigm. Additionally, it is hoped that this initiative can be sustained in empowering teachers in other areas.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan psikoedukasi Sekolah Ramah Anak di daerah Pasirtanjung. Psikoedukasi ini akan memfokuskan pada pembahasan hak anak untuk membangun kedisiplinan, karakter dan komunikasi positif antar warga sekolah. Diharapkan dengan adanya psikoedukasi ini para guru dapat memenuhi, menjamin, dan melindungi hak anak, serta memastikan bahwa sekolah mampu mengembangkan minat, bakat dan kemampuan anak. Selain itu, sekolah diharapkan tidak hanya melahirkan generasi yang cerdas secara intelektual, namun juga melahirkan generasi yang cerdas secara emosional dan spiritual. Dalam mengupayakan peningkatan kesadaran tersebut, para guru dilibatkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, yang terdapat beberapa kegiatan di dalamnya. Kegiatan berupa psikoedukasi yang disampaikan dalam bentuk seminar melalui pemaparan materi, pemutaran video, praktek serta tanya jawab terkait materi. Kegiatan psikoedukasi Sekolah Ramah Anak di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Man’baul Islamiyah Desa Pasirtanjung Kabupaten Bogor berjalan sesuai jadwal yang ditentukan dan kegiatan ini tepat sasaran karena sekolah belum pernah mendapatkan sosialiasi Sekolah Ramah Anak dari pemerintah. Psokoedukasi ini juga terbukti menambah pemahaman baru bagi guru tentang konsep Sekolah Ramah Anak dan cara untuk mengimplementasikannya, terbukti dari hasil peningkatan dari pretest dan posttest nya.

Abstract

Stunting sebagai masalah yang sedang gencar diatasi oleh pemerintah dan menjadi program prioritas di Puskesmas Sekaran menjadi latar belakang kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini. Adanya kasus stunting di Gunungpati disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor, seperti kehamilan yang tidak dipersiapkan, berat badan bayi lahir rendah, serta rendahnya tingkat pemberian ASI ekslusif. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua muda mengenai stunting, pola asuh, rumah sehat, serta gizi anak sehingga dapat membantu menurunkan kasus stunting. Hal ini disebabkan beberapa faktor penyebab dilandasi oleh pengetahuan yang kurang. Maka dari itu, metode yang digunakan yaitu psikoedukasi. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan orang tua muda di wilayah Gunungpati yang dilihat dari adanya perbedaan hasil yang signifikan pada pre-test dan post-test. Adapun saran yang dapat diberikan yaitu akan lebih baik jika program pengabdian ini dilakukan secara jangka panjang dan berkelanjutan. Selain itu, sasaran kegiatan sebaiknya lebih diperluas sehingga dapat memberikan edukasi tidak hanya pada orang tua muda, tetapi pada masyarakat sekitar sehingga mampu ikut serta dalam penurunan angka stunting.

Abstract

Economic challenges extend beyond financial implications, influencing various facets of society. Consequently, addressing these issues is vital for national development. Empowering communities to become entrepreneurs is a key solution for fostering economic growth. Notably, brand awareness among business operators is a critical component in shaping public perception and recognition of their endeavors. Our community service initiative in Pasirtanjung Village, West Java, is tailored to the specific needs of this community. The village's business operators lack awareness of the significance of brand identity, evident in their businesses' absence of distinctive branding. In this context, our program centers on elevating brand awareness by enhancing entrepreneurial skills among local business operators. The training aims to bridge this awareness gap and facilitate the creation of distinctive brand identities for these enterprises. Crucially, our program yielded significant results, with pre-test scores (M=61.5, SD=19.8) differing significantly from post-test scores (M=71, SD=16.2); t(19)=-3.047, p=0.007. This underscores the effectiveness of our efforts in enhancing entrepreneurial skills and brand awareness within the Pasirtanjung community. In summary, our program addresses the specific needs of Pasirtanjung Village, where business operators currently lack brand awareness. Through enhanced entrepreneurial skills, we aspire to empower them to develop unique brand identities, ultimately contributing to their economic growth and community development.

Abstract

Kurangnya pemahaman remaja tentang literasi kesehatan mental merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk diperhatikan. Tidak sedikit remaja yang mengalami gangguan kesehatan mental seperti stres, depresi, gangguan kecemasan, gangguan mood, dan lain-lain, namun tidak mendapat penanganan yang optimal karena tidak memiliki literasi kesehatan mental yang baik. Oleh karena itu, psikoedukasi diperlukan untuk membantu remaja lebih mengenal literasi kesehatan mental. Psikoedukasi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi kesehatan mental pada remaja di Pasir Tanjung. Psikoedukasi disampaikan dengan metode ceramah. Pesertanya adalah 27 remaja di Pasir Tanjung. Program psikoedukasi ini berjalan sesuai rencana dan tanpa kendala berarti. Peserta pun tampak antusias dan bersemangat mengikuti kegiatan yang dilakukan.
