Abstract

Learning videos are interactive media that are currently commonly used in learning, especially in English subjects in recent times. Providing a positive impact on students' motivation in learning English is one of the benefits obtained from the application of this learning media. English learning videos made by involving students as actors in it are expected to foster their motivation in learning English. As for the purpose of this study, it was found that from the research data it was found that students were more motivated by learning English in class using the videos they participated in. Focusing on research methodology, descriptive quantitative research is applied to obtain research objectives. The results of the research obtained in this study are narrated in descriptive form.Keywords: learning videos, student motivation, English learning

Abstract

Advances in technology have proliferated in this global world, not only in big cities but also in small towns. In the last 10 years, electronic games or so-called online games have proliferated. There's a lot of game centers popping up. The game center itself is not like an Internet cafe, they have more regulars than any cafes. This is what makes the game center almost always bustling with visitors. Online games also have a major impact on the development of both the child and the soul of the individual, which dominates the online game playing by students. The purpose of this study is to know the enormous impact online games have on learning to improve the study of student electrical engineering at ambon state. The result of this research is that 88 % of students are very active in multiplation and are particularly enthusiastic when playing the infomratika math game created through word word online media. This can encourage their curiosity when a game is not finished and tend to be keen to try it at all times. It is this curious nature that will change their interest in learning, so that their study too will increase. Abstract

Character education is a process of formation and habituation in a systematic or directed manner so that humans have character, character, psychological traits, manners, personality, and morals in accordance with the rules, norms and values that have been applied or agreed upon in society, religion and the state. While the Qur'an is discussed to describe the relevance of character education which is widely stated, especially in surah Luqman verses 13-19 as a personality builder. The purpose of this research is for people to know that character education which is a guide in life is in line with the Qur'an so that people emphasize the character that forms a good personality based on religious teachings to be applied to life. This study uses a qualitative approach. The method used in this study is the reference search method or literature study. The results of this study indicate the relevance of character education which can be found in surah Luqman verses 13-19 as forming personality which includes: being grateful to Allah SWT, devoted to both parents, caring attitude to help and help, Commands to do what is ma'ruf (good) and prevent those who are Munkar (bad), be patient, don't be arrogant, and don't be arrogant.Keywords: character education, al-Qur'an surah Luqman verses 13-19, forming personality

Abstract

Students are able to appear as vanguards in realizing tolerance and harmony in society, students are inseparable parts of society. Intolerance that occurs in society is a trigger that needs to be resolved. As intellectual beings, students are certainly able to sort out problems objectively and critically. It is these advantages that are expected to be able to give hope for unity in Indonesia. The research aims to analyze and provide an overview of the tolerance attitude of Ambon State Polytechnic students. The research method uses descriptive statistical quantitative analysis. The results of the study found that tolerance showed normal or positive data. This was caused by dividing the value of skewness by the error of skewness where the variable Attitude of Tolerance was 0.565/0.302 = 1.87. This value shows normal because it has a position between -2 and +2. reinforced by survey data in the field showing that the average student who is met disagrees with things that support intolerance and are more supportive of tolerance, so they don't choose things that challenge the tolerance valueKeywords: Tolerance, Attitude, Student

Abstract

Reading skill is one of the abilities that must be mastered by students in the D-IV Study Program Applied Business Administration. This study aims to identify the effectiveness of the Reciprocal Teaching learning model in students' reading comprehension ability in reading class. This type of research is experimental (Two group pre-test, post-test). The study population was 40 students divided into 20 experimental and 20 control classes. The data were analyzed by using t-test analysis. The results of the data analysis showed that t-count 3.47 > t-test 2.02 at a significance of 0.05. The results showed that the Reciprocal Teaching learning model effectively improved students' reading comprehension.Keywords: Reciprocal Teaching, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

Research on the Use of "Slang Language" Variations on the Tiktok Platform for Generation Z: Sociolinguistic Studies certainly discusses the use of slang language variations on the Tik Tok platform or social media. The problem formulation in this research consists of types of slang language variations, the use of slang language variations and their meanings. The aim of this research is to describe the use of slang variations on the Tik Tok platform or social media and their meanings. The research method in this study is qualitative descriptive research which aims to provide symptoms, facts or events systematically and accurately. There are approximately 60 forms of slang variations used by generation z/teenagers on the Tik Tok platform or social media. Of the 60 data on language variations, 23 data are mispronunciations, 29 data are abbreviations, 3 data are shortened forms and 5 data are interjections. Variations of slang with data in the form of abbreviations are the most widely used by generation z/teenagers because the form is more practical and easy to apply and memorize. Abstract

Religious moderation is a campaign aimed at public spaces, especially educational institutions, to overcome intolerant attitudes among individuals. Religious moderation from the perspective of Islamic religious education plays an important role in the realization of multicultural education. This research is descriptive-analytical in nature and uses literature review research methods. The research results show that religious moderation plays an important role in the implementation of multicultural education in Indonesia. This success requires cooperation between parents, students, and educational institutions to create an educational environment that is friendly to different religions and helps students become individuals who are tolerant and have good character. Abstract

This article discusses the development of a foundation for curriculum design in primary schools. A foundation must support the development of the curriculum in order for it to work in accordance with its stated objectives. Guidelines for curriculum design should be included in the curriculum content. The curriculum is a tool for work that is prepared so that the plan can be followed effectively. The research methodology used in this article is the desk research method, which involves collecting information from various online sources, including books and journals. In other words, the desk research method requires a literature review of data sources in the form of books and journals. The purpose of this article is to provide readers with a better understanding of the fundamentals involved in curriculum design. The data collection strategy or data analysis technique uses a qualitative approach, specifically a literature analysis of data from books and journals found on the internet. The results of this study found that there are 4 foundations of curriculum design including, (1) the philosophical foundation, which is used in the creation of the curriculum both as an actual implementation in schools and as a written program, (2) the psychological foundation, to modify teaching to suit the needs of students, starting with the content that needs to be taught and how to teach it, (3) the sociological foundation, which must be adapted to the environment of the community where education is held, including the facilities and infrastructure available, affecting and supporting the implementation of education, (4) the foundation of science and technology, the curriculum must consider industry needs, lifestyles, labor needs and demands, and individual needs in line with advances in science and technology in order to keep pace with these developments. This research will also show how the above foundations can play an important role in curriculum design. Keywords: foundation, design, curriculum

Abstract

Abstrak : Reading between the lines merupakan salah satu strategi reading comprehension yang harus diajarkan sebagai suatu comprehension skill yang penting bagi mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi keefektifan Reading Between The Lines Strategy dalam kemampuan pemahaman membaca mahasiswa. Penulis menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan beberapa langkah yang penulis lakukan yaitu pertama mengumpulkan teori yang relevan untuk penelitian. Langkah kedua yaitu menjalankan pre-test untuk experiment class dan control class. Langkah ketiga yaitu mengajar reading comprehension dengan mengunakan Reading Between The Lines pada experiment class dan mengajar tanpa mengunakan Reading Between The Lines pada control class. Langkah keempat yaitu menjalankan post-test bagi experiment class dan control class. Setelah menganalisis data berdasarkan tes yang diberikan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa pada kelompok eksperimen yang diajar dengan menerapkan Reading Between the lines memperoleh nilai lebih baik dibandingkan siswa pada kelompok kontrol yang diajar tanpa menerapkan Reading Between the lines. Abstract

the increasingly alarming ecological crisis demands efforts to build awareness and concern for the environment, especially among the younger generation of Christians. This study aims to determine the role of Christian Religious Education teachers in shaping a generation of Christians who care about the ecological crisis. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and filling out questionnaires. The results showed that Christian Religious Education teachers have an important role in shaping a Christian generation that cares about the ecological crisis, which is realized through (a) Integration of ecological material in Christian Religious Education learning, such as the concept of creation, stewardship, and human responsibility towards nature (b) Exemplary teachers in behaving environmentally friendly and educating students to care about the environment (c) Development of environmental awareness-based activities and cleaning activities in the school environment and its surroundings. This study suggests that Christian Religious Education teachers should consistently integrate ecological issues in learning and provide examples of environmentally friendly behavior, as well as develop extracurricular programs that can foster environmental awareness in the Christian generation. The findings of this study confirm the significant contribution of Christian Religious Education teachers in developing ecological awareness in the younger generation of Christians.
