Abstract

UMKM are now getting attention from the government and the general public now, because UMKM can improve the community's economy, such as UMKM of Kerang Indah Craftsmen in Soreang District which are able to produce various handicraft products from sea shells, but so far there are still many UMKM that have not been able to make financial reports. able to distinguish or classify production costs such as the cost of Raw Materials, Labor Costs, and Factory Overhead Costs to make financial reports with UMKM standards. The method used is Community Service, the first is observation, the second is socialization of UMKM financial reports, the third is assistance in preparing financial reports, the fourth is training in preparing financial reports, evaluating whether UMKM Shellfish Craftsmen are able to generate profits or losses as a shellfish craftsman business. the.The benefit of this community service is that it will gradually provide knowledge and skills in classifying production costs such as the cost of Raw Materials, Labor Costs, and Overhead Costs to make financial reports with UMKM standards.

Abstract

Training on processing used newspapers into creative works of high economic value is an innovative step to overcome the problem of waste accumulation and develop local economic potential. Used newspapers, which were previously considered waste, became the focus of this training. Students from the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IMM) A. R. Fachruddin Muhammadiyah University of Parepare were involved in the training process, enabling them to explore their skills and creativity in turning used newspapers into attractive photo frames. Training and mentoring methods, through a participatory model with lectures, discussions, and direct practice, strengthen the application of science and technology to students. The results of the activity show an increase in students' understanding of waste utilization, creating creative products, and applying design concepts that include safety, comfort, and beauty. This activity also encourages entrepreneurial awareness among students, making them potential drivers of the local economy. Empowerment through creativity in managing used newspapers provides solutions to environmental problems and improves the student economy. In conclusion, this training not only changed the view towards waste but also opened up new opportunities in creating high-value products from previously neglected resources.

Abstract

Curio Village, Enrekang Regency, stands out as having high economic potential in the horticulture sector, focusing mainly on vegetable crops, especially tomatoes. This research aims to understand the economic situation of women farmers in Curio Village, especially in terms of tomato production and marketing. The advantage of this village lies in the typographic and climatic conditions that support the fertile growth of tomato plants. Identification of potentials and obstacles was carried out to detail the challenges faced by farmers, especially those related to the processing and marketing of tomato products. The research results show that processing tomato chips is a concrete solution to price fluctuations and product storage difficulties, positively impacting the economy of women farmers and the Curio Village community as a whole. The emphasis on plastic packaging based on practicality and visual appeal strengthens the marketing aspect of the product. This activity's success can guide the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and support women's empowerment in the agricultural environment.

Abstract

Agricultural productivity cannot be separated from the use of technology by farmers. For example, in Enrekang Regency, there are still farmers who have not maximized the use of technology because it is considered expensive. Technology can be engineered but does not change the work function as an appropriate technology that is easy and cheap. For example, for corn farmers, fertilization is still traditional and takes up much time and energy, making farmers tired. Therefore dissemination was carried out to accelerate technology adoption, one tool that is easy to make using simple and inexpensive materials is a fertilizer sowing tool that is used to fertilize crops such as corn, chili, tomatoes, mustard greens, or cabbage for farmers in Buntu Batu District, Kabupaten Enrekang. Activities carried out by counseling and training methods as well as demonstrations of the use of tools. This fertilizer-sowing tool is made of several sizes of pipes that work on the same principle as a drill and the fertilizer that comes out can be adjusted to the needs of the plants. Participants appreciated the results of the socialization activities in the form of counseling and training on assembling fertilizer sowing tools from PVC pipes and demonstrations. The people in Pasui Village and Lunjen Village responded well to the socialization of the sow fertilizer tool because the technology offered was very much needed and helped farming communities who complained of back pain after every fertilization. Local farmers will then reproduce the existence of these tools after learning how to make them so that they can enjoy them directly.

Abstract

Electricity use tends to come from energy produced by PLN, where the energy produced in several areas is from non-renewable oil-fueled power plants. This causes several areas to remain dark because they do not have street lighting and are dependent on electricity services from the government, including Banguntapan Village which has minimal lighting. The absence of lighting makes the road dark and prone to crime such as theft, which is often due to darkness. To prevent theft, residents are required to guard the village system, but this is not optimal. For this reason, community service is carried out by creating a sense of security through the street lighting construction program in Banguntapan Village, especially the Muhammadiyah Islamic Center (MIC) complex. The aim of carrying out this community service activity is to provide an alternative, renewable electrical energy source by utilizing solar panels that the community can use. Activities were carried out in several stages, namely observation, outreach, and counseling, as well as training on solar-powered lighting installations. The activity partner is PRM 3 Banguntapan which is located in the Muhammadiyah Islamic Center (MIC) complex, precisely in Sorowajan Hamlet, Banguntapan Village. The results obtained are the availability of alternative electrical energy sourced from sunlight stored in batteries and solar-powered lighting units. Residents know and understand that the use of solar energy is a form of energy-independent village development.
