Abstract

Learning outcomes are an indicator of the achievement of a learning objective and become an element of reflection in preparing the next lesson. Low learning outcomes in biology is a problem experienced by class X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 4 Tanjung Jabung Barat. This study is a classroom action research that aims to determine the increase in students learning outcomes in biology subjects through the implementation of Nearpod-based interactive learning media in class X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 4 Tanjung Jabung Barat. The research subjects were 28 students. The study was planned in two cycles. The study was planned in two cycles. Each cycle goes through the stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection methods are observation, tests and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed by qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on data analysis, it was found that the average student learning outcomes increased by 3.93 points, from 78.21 in cycle I to 82.14 in cycle II. Students who reach the completion limit of learning outcomes in cycle I are 22 students (78.57%). Students who reach the completion limit of learning outcomes in cycle II are 28 students (100%). the conclusion is that the use of Nearpod-based interactive learning media can increase biology learning outcomes in class X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 4 Tanjung Jabung Barat. abstrak. Hasil belajar adalah salah satu indikator ketercapaian sebuah tujuan pembelajaran dan menjadi dan menjadi bahan refleksi dalam menyusun pembelajaran berikutnya. Kendala-kendala yang muncul di dalam pembelajaran harus direspon oleh guru agar perolehan hasil belajar siswa sesuai dengan kriteria ketuntasan tujuan pembelajaran. Nearpod merupakan aplikasi pembelajaran daring yang dapat menjadi alternatif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada peningkatan hasil belajar Biologi siswa melalui pemanfaatan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Nearpod di  kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Tanjung Jabung Barat. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 28 siswa. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Setiap siklus melewati tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Metode pengumpulan data ialah observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh data peningkatan 3,93 poin rata-rata hasil belajar siswa, dari skor 78,21 pada siklus I menjadi 82,14 pada siklus II. Ketuntasan hasil belajar dicapai 22 siswa (78,57%) pada siklus I. Ketuntasan hasil belajar dicapai 28 siswa (100%) pada siklus II. Hal tersebut menjadi dasar kesimpulan bahwa pemanfaatan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Nearpod dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 4 Tanjung Jabung Barat.

Abstract

The PBL (Problem-Based Learning) learning model is a learning model that is centered on students and focuses on the learning process of students (student-centered learning). Therefore, through the application of this model, it is expected to be able to improve student learning outcomes. This research is classroom action research. The research was conducted in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year in class X SMA Negeri 09 Palembang. The research subjects were 37 students of class X9, 20 girls and 17 boys. Based on the results of the two-cycle class action research, it was found that the PBL model could improve student learning outcomes. Abstrak. Model pembelajaran PBL (Problem Based Learning) merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik dan menitik beratkan pada proses belajar peserta didik (student centered learning). Maka dari itu, melalui penerapan model ini diiharapkan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2022/2023 di kelas X SMA Negeri 09 Palembang. Subjek penelitian adalah 37 peserta didik kelas X9, 20 perempuan dan 17 laki-laki. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tindakan kelas dua siklus, ditemukan bahwa model PBL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Waste Management is one of the courses in the environmental health specialization. So far, the learning process in waste management courses has only relied on face-to-face methods (teacher centered learning), thus making students less active and creative and independent in understanding the problems and phenomena that occur. One learning model that can actively involve students and increase student creativity is Project Based Learning (PjBL). The aim of this research is to design and develop project-based learning and to increase student creativity and learning outcomes. This research was conducted at the Department of Public Health, Jambi University on fifth semester students specializing in environmental health with a total of 77 students. This research design is qualitative classroom action research. Data collection was carried out in the pre-cycle and cycle I and cycle II. The results showed that the average creativity of students in cycles I and II was 74.3%, flexibility 73.1%, welfare 79.2% and authenticity 81.6% and the average learning outcome for all groups was 83.2% .. Conclusion Based on the research results obtained, the execution of learning using the PjBL model in cycles I and II has gone smoothly, the creativity value of students has increased from quite creative to creative creative, the value of learning outcomes resulting from projects in cycles I and II has increased, the results of interviews with Students showed a positive response that with the implementation of the PJBL learning model, students were more active in asking questions and concentrating more during lectures. Abstrak. Pengelolaan Limbah adalah salah satu matakuliah yang ada dipeminatan kesehatan lingkungan,. Selama ini proses pembelajaran dalam mata kulian pengelolaan limbahhanya mengandalkan metode tatap muka (teacher centered learning), sehingga membuat mahasiswa kurang aktif dan kreatif serta mandiri dalam memahami masalah dan fenomena yang terjadi. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat melibatkan siswa secara aktif dan meningkatkan kreativitas siswa adalah Project Based Learning (PjBL). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang, mengembangkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan untuk meningkatkan kreatifitas serta hasil belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jurusan Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Jambi pada mahasiswa semester V peminatan kesehatan lingkungan dengan jumlah 77 mahasiswa. Desain penelitian ini penelitian kualitatif Tindakan kelas. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada pra siklus dan siklus I dan siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kreativitas mahasiswa pada siklus I dan II adalah 74,3%, keluwesan 73,1%, merinci sebesar 79,2% dan keaslian 81,6% dan rata-rata hasil belajar semua kelompok 83,2%.. Kesmpulan Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model PjBL pada siklus I dan II sudah berjalan lancar, nilai kreatifitas pada mahasiswa meningkat dari cukup kreatif menjadi kreatif kreatif, nilai hasil belajar hasil proyek pada siklus I dan II sudah meningkat, hasil wawancara kepada mahasiswa menunjukkan respon positif bahwasanya dengan penerapan model pembelajaran pjbl ini mahasiswa sudah lebih aktif bertanya dan lebih berkonsentrasi pada saat perkuliahan.

Abstract

Creative thinking is a mental activity that a person uses to build new ideas or ideas. To develop student creativity, a good and innovative learning process is needed. One of the learning models that can actively involve students and increase student creativity is Problem Based Learning (PBL). The purpose of this study was to identify differences in students' creativity and thinking skills between the application of case-based learning and conventional learning in the vector control and rodent courses. This research was conducted at the Department of Public Health, University of Jambi in the fifth semester students with an interest in environmental health with a total of 37 students. The research design was in the form of a quasi-experimental class involving the experimental class and the control class. The instrument used is a test sheet with indicators to measure thinking ability and creativity, a communication skill test sheet, and an assessment report sheet. Data were collected twice through pre-test and post-test. Processing and data analysis using Paired Sample T-Test. The results showed that most of the students were still less active during lectures using the conventional / lecture method, as many as 15 people (40.5%). Students only pay attention, remain silent and there are no questions or comments related to the lecture material presented. The results of the statistical test showed that the p.value was 0.000, the p-value < α (0.05), which means that there is a difference in student learning outcomes using the conventional / lecture method using the PBL method. This means that there is an effect of giving the PBL learning method on the thinking ability (learning outcomes) of fifth-semester students with an interest in environmental health, majoring in public health sciences, FKIK Jambi University in vector control and rodent courses. This study concludes that the application of the case-based learning model is expected to increase students' creativity and thinking skills and hone communication skills by being actively involved in a complex learning process based on case studies. Abstrak. Untuk mengembangkan kreativitas siswa, diperlukan proses pembelajaran yang baik dan inovatif. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat melibatkan siswa secara aktif dan meningkatkan kreativitas siswa adalah Problem Based Learning (PBL). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan kreativitas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dengan metode PBL pada mata kuliah pengendalian vektor dan hewan pengerat. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jurusan Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Jambi pada mahasiswa semester V peminatan kesehatan lingkungan dengan jumlah 37 mahasiswa. Desain penelitian ini berupa kelas eksperimen semu yang melibatkan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Analisis data menggunakan Paired Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa masih kurang aktif pada saat perkuliahan menggunakan metode konvensional/ceramah yaitu sebanyak 15 orang (40,5%). Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa p.value adalah 0,000, nilai p < (0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan metode konvensional/ceramah dengan menggunakan metode PBL. Artinya ada pengaruh pemberian metode pembelajaran PBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir (hasil belajar) mahasiswa semester V minat kesehatan lingkungan jurusan ilmu kesehatan masyarakat FKIK Universitas Jambi pada mata kuliah pengendalian vektor dan hewan pengerat. Diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dan keterampilan berpikir siswa serta mengasah keterampilan komunikasi dengan terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran yang kompleks berdasarkan studi kasus.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is an important ability for prospective biology teachers. This research was conducted to determine the profile of the initial scientific literacy abilities of prospective biology teachers. This research is a quantitative descriptive study, with 24 research subjects from second-semester students of the biology education, Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Banyuwangi. This research uses the Test of Scientific Literacy Skills (TOSLS) instrument developed by Gormally, et al. with a questionnaire theme about general biology. Data was obtained from filling out the questionnaire, and analyzed using percentages and categorization. The results of the research show that the initial scientific literacy abilities of prospective biology teacher students at the University of 17 August 1945 Banyuwangi are in the low category with a percentage of 30.24%. Students have relatively good literacy skills in evaluating the use and misuse of scientific information. Students have very poor literacy skills when faced with quantitative data. The lack of student abilities related to quantitative data can be a concern for course lecturer so that they can encourage students' scientific literacy abilities through the learning process. Abstrak. Literasi sains merupakan kemampuan yang penting dimiliki oleh mahasiswa calon guru. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui profil kemampuan awal litarasi sains mahasiswa calon guru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan subyek penelitian ialah 24 mahasiswa semester 2 program studi pendidikan biologi Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Banyuwangi. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen Test of Scientific Literacy Skills (TOSLS) yang dikembangkan oleh Gormally, dkk. dengan tema kuesioner tentang biologi umum. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil pengisian kuesioner dianalisis menggunakan persentase dan kategorisasi. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan awal literasi sains mahasiswa calon guru biologi Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Banyuwangi secara keseluruhan termasuk dalam kategori rendah dengan persentase 30,24%. Mahasiswa mempunyai kemampuan literasi yang tergolong baik dalam hal mengevaluasi penggunaan dan penyalahgunaan informasi ilmiah. Mahasiswa mempunyai kemampuan literasi yang sangat kurang ketika dihadapkan pada data kuantitatif. Kurangnya kemampuan mahasiswa yang berkaitan dengan data kuantitatif ini dapat menjadi perhatian bagi pengampu matakuliah agar dapat mendorong kemampuan literasi sains mahasiswa melalui proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Rice fields are one of the most important ecosystems because rice fields can produce staple food which is very important for humans. The condition of the rice fields in Ngabean Village, Secang District, is where many Orthoptera are found. The potential of the environment can be used as a learning resource, but currently it is still not optimal. The unidentification of Orthoptera in the rice fields of Ngabean Village, Secang District is something that has the potential to be developed. So it is necessary to identify the Orthoptera order in the rice fields in Ngabean Village, Secang District as a reference book. This research aims to determine the results of Orthoptera identification, the abiotic factors that influence it, and the feasibility of the biology reference book being developed. This research uses mixed method research which is divided into two stages, namely exploratory qualitative research and Research and Development (R&D) development research with the 4-D development model. However, this research only reached the third stage, namely develop. Data collection was carried out by Ortopthera exploration in the rice fields of Ngabean Village, Secang District. Analysis of the feasibility of reference books was carried out with validation from material experts and media experts. Apart from that, readability tests were carried out by entomology lecturers and students. The research results found 15 species of Orthopthera. The reference book developed as a learning resource for students obtained an average validation result of 69.63% which was included in the appropriate category. Apart from that, the percentage of readability of reference books by students was 87.99% in the high category. Abstrak. Sawah merupakan salah satu ekosistem terpenting karena sawah dapat menghasilkan bahan makanan pokok yang sangat penting bagi manusia. Kondisi persawahan di Desa Ngabean Kecamatan Secang banyak dijumpai Orthoptera. Potensi lingkungan dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar namun saat ini masih kurang maksimal. Belum diidentifikasinya Orthoptera di area persawahan Desa Ngabean Kecamatan Secang menjadi hal yang potensial dikembangkan. Sehingga diperlukan adanya identifikasi ordo Orthoptera area persawahan di Desa Ngabean Kecamatan Secang sebagai buku referensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil identifikasi Orthoptera, faktor abiotik yang mempengaruhinya, dan kelayakan buku referensi biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian mixed method yang terbagi menjadi dua tahap yaitu penelitian kualitatif jenis eksploratif dan penelitian pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4-D. Namun pada penelitian ini hanya sampai tahap ketiga yaitu develop. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan eksplorasi Ortopthera di area persawahan Desa Ngabean Kecamatan Secang. Analisis kelayakan buku referensi dilakukan dengan validasi ahli materi dan ahli media. Selain itu, dilakukan uji keterbacaan oleh dosen entomologi dan mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 15 spesies Ortopthera. Buku referensi yang dikembangkan sebagai sumber belajar memperoleh hasil validasi rata-rata 69,63% dengan kategori layak. Persentase keterbacaan buku referensi oleh mahasiswa diperoleh hasil sebesar 87,99 % dengan kategori tinggi.

Abstract

Biology learning is abstract, universal, monotonous, and less relevant to everyday life, thus causing the learning process to become less meaningful. Meaningful learning is integrating learning to facts in everyday life and learns the meaning of science for life. In line with the demands of an independent curriculum, which expects a learning process that is contextual and touches on and answers local problems from the surrounding area, The solution that can answer this problem is a locally-based learning approach that is integrated into biology lessons. The purpose of this article is to examine the local wisdom of Naniura-Sashimi Batak in biology learning. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing national and international journals related to the Local Wisdom of Naniura-Sashimi Batak and its relationship to biology lessons. Integrate into learning by mapping community science and scientific science as well as relationships in biological material. abstrak. Pembelajaran biologi bersifat abstrak, universal, monoton, dan kurang relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, sehingga menyebabkan proses pembelajaran menjadi kurang bermakna. Pembelajaran yang bermakna adalah mengintegrasikan pembelajaran dengan fakta-fakta dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan mempelajari makna ilmu pengetahuan untuk kehidupan. Sejalan dengan tuntutan kurikulum mandiri, yang mengharapkan proses pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan menyentuh serta menjawab masalah-masalah lokal dari sekitar, Solusi yang dapat menjawab masalah ini adalah pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis lokal yang terintegrasi ke dalam pelajaran biologi. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk mengkaji kearifan lokal Naniura-Sashimi Batak dalam pembelajaran biologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan meninjau jurnal-jurnal nasional dan internasional yang terkait dengan Kearifan Lokal Naniura-Sashimi Batak dan hubungannya dengan pelajaran biologi. Terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran dengan memetakan ilmu komunitas dan ilmu sains serta hubungannya dalam materi biologi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of local potential-based booklets on biodiversity material that has been developed previously. This research uses an experimental method. The form of research design used is a quasi-experimental design. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Sajingan with a research sample of X MIPA class students as many as 60 students each from the experimental and control classes. Based on the results of the study, it can be stated that the local potential-based booklet media developed is effective, this can be seen from the significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. This is evidenced by the acquisition of the Mann Whitney U test at a real level of 0.5 resulting in a significance figure of 0.005 And learning using booklet media has an effect of 55.4% with an Effect Size of 1.03 in the high category. Abstrak.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas booklet berbasis potensi lokal pada materi keanekaragaman hayati yang telah dikembangkan sebelumnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Bentuk desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu (Quasy Experimental Design). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Sajingan dengan sampel penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas X MIPA sebanyak 60 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa media booklet berbasis potensi lokal yang dikembangkan bersifat efektif, hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap antara hasil pretest dan posttest.Hal ini dibuktikan dengan dari perolehan uji U Mann Whitney pada taraf nyata 0,5 menghasilkan angka signifikansi 0,00. Dan pembelajaran menggunakan media booklet memberikan pengaruh sebesar 55,4% dengan Effect Size 1,03 dalam kategori tinggi.

Abstract

This research uses R&D (Research and Development) research with a 4D development model adapted to 3D (Define, Design, Develop). The objectives of this research are: 1) To determine the procedure for developing the STEM-based PraMetaVirLab (Virtual Laboratory Metabolism Practicum) application as a Biology Learning Media, 2) To determine the level of feasibility of the STEM-based PraMetaVirlab (Virtual Laboratory Metabolism Practicum) application as a Learning Media in Class XII SMA/ M.A. The test subjects in this research were students in class XII MIPA MA Raudlatus Shibyan. Data collection techniques through questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling which is a type of non-probability sampling. The validation results from material experts obtained an assessment with an overall average percentage of 92.5% including the "Very Valid" category and an assessment from media experts with an overall average percentage of 89.964% "Very Valid" category. In the feasibility assessment by teachers, a percentage of 80% was obtained with the "Practical" category used by teachers, while the overall percentage obtained by students was 83.3% with the "Very Practical" category used by students. Thus, the STEM-based PraMetaVirLab (Virtual Laboratory Metabolism Practicum) application as a Biology Learning Media for class XII SMA/MA is practically used by teachers and students. Abstrak. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian R&D (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang diadaptasi menjadi 3D (Define, Design, Develop). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : 1) Untuk mengetahui prosedur pengembangan aplikasi PraMetaVirLab (Praktikum Metabolisme Virtual Laboratorium) Berbasis STEM Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Biologi, 2) Untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan aplikasi PraMetaVirlab (Praktikum Metabolisme Virtual Laboratorium) Berbasis STEM Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Pada Kelas XII SMA/MA. Subjek uj coba dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XII MIPA MA Raudlatus Shibyan. Teknik pengambilan data melalui angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan ialah sampling jenuh yang termasuk jenis non probability sampling.. Hasil validasi ahli materi memperoleh penilaian dengan rata-rata presentase keseluruhan sebesar 92,5% termasuk kategori “Sangat Valid” dan penilaian dari ahli media dengan rata-rata presentase keseluruhan sebesar 89,964% kategori “Sangat Valid”. Pada penilaian kelayakan oleh guru didapat presentase sejumlah 80%  dengan kategori “Praktis” digunakan oleh guru sedangkan oleh peserta didik diperoleh rata-rata presentase keseluruhan sebesar 83,3%  dengan kategori “Sangat Praktis” digunakan oleh peserta didik. Dengan demikian, aplikasi PraMetaVirLab (Praktikum Metabolisme Virtual Laboratorium) Berbasis STEM Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Biologi kelas XII SMA/MA praktis digunakan oleh guru dan peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of pocket book learning media on the submaterial of biodiversity utilization in class X SMA. The pocket book is based on the results of an inventory of plant species that are used in the traditional ritual process by the Dayak Kanayatn tribe in Pentek Village, Mempawah Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The systematics in this study consisted of three stages, namely making pocket book media, validating pocket book media and analyzing data. This pocket book media was validated by two lecturers of Biology Education FKIP UNTAN and three teachers in the specified schools, namely SMA Negeri 1 Toho, SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak and SMA Swasta Taman Mulia Kubu Raya. The validation sheet assessment uses a Likert scale and data analysis based on the Lawshe formula (1975). Based on the assessment of the five validators obtained a Conten Validity Index (CVI) value of 1.00> 0.99 so that it is declared valid and feasible to use on the utilization of biodiversity sub-material of class X high school. abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran buku saku pada submateri pemanfaatan keanekaragaman hayati kelas X SMA. Buku saku didasarkan dari hasil inventarisasi jenis-jenis tumbuhan yang dimanfaatkan kedalam proses ritual adat oleh masyarakat suku Dayak Kanayatn di Desa Pentek Kabupaten Mempawah Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun sistematika dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan, yaitu pembuatan media buku saku, validasi media buku saku dan menganalisis data. Media buku saku ini divalidasi oleh dua orang dosen Pendidikan Biologi FKIP UNTAN dan tiga orang guru di sekolah yang sudah ditentukan yaitu SMA Negeri 1 Toho, SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak dan SMA Swasta Taman Mulia Kubu Raya. Penilaian lembar validasi menggunakan skala likert dan analisis data berdasarkan rumus Lawshe (1975). Berdasarkan penilaian dari lima validator memperoleh nilai Conten Validity Index (CVI) 1,00 > 0,99 sehingga dinyatakan valid dan layak digunakan pada sub materi pemanfaatan keanekaragaman hayati SMA kelas X.
