Abstract

The market for food and beverage products in Indonesia has experienced positive development, especially with the success of Kopiko candy, which reinforces its positive image among consumers. This research explores the impact of brand attitude on positive brand references among Kopiko candy consumers through brand attitude and brand engagement. Non-probability sampling employed to this study through survey resulted 311 consumers and analysed using PLS. This study findings that brand attitude indirectly influences positive brand references. Conversely, there is a positive relationship between brand attitude and brand involvement, which significantly contributes to positive brand references. Brand involvement also acts as an effective mediator in connecting brand attitude and positive brand references, with the presence of a moderating effect. This study provides a unique contribution by exploring the dual role of brand involvement as a mediating and moderating variable in the relationship between brand attitude and positive brand references, focusing on Kopiko coffee candy.

Abstract

Spiritual leadership is considered a crucial factor in shaping a positive organizational culture, while a toxic workplace can have negative impacts on employee well-being and performance. This study aims to investigate the influence of spiritual leadership and a toxic workplace on employee performance with the mediation of organizational climate in the Health Office of South Bengkulu. The research utilized purposive sampling with 112 respondents, consisting of medical and staff personnel in the Health Office of South Bengkulu, employing SEM-PLS as the data analysis method. The findings of this study indicate that spiritual leadership, a toxic workplace, and organizational climate have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Additionally, organizational climate can mediate the relationship between spiritual leadership, a toxic workplace, and employee performance. The practical implications of these findings can assist organizations, particularly the Health Office of South Bengkulu, in developing more effective management strategies to enhance employee well-being and performance.

Abstract

This research is aimed for analyzing the influence of reward element, challenge element, and customer engagement toward customer stickiness. However, gamification in marketing is becoming increasingly popular and has successfully captured customer interest on e-commerce platforms. Shopee, for example, has introduced gamification features through Shopee Games. On top of that, research on the impact of gamification elements in Shopee Games on customer engagement and stickiness is still limited. This quantitative study utilizes primary data from 130 active Shopee users and Shopee Games players through an online questionnaire. Data analysis using SmartPLS4 indicates that rewards and challenges in Shopee Games positively contribute to user engagement. However, only challenges influence long-term engagement and user stickiness. Satisfying gaming experiences and intriguing challenges form a strong emotional bond with Shopee Games, encouraging prolonged participation. These findings not only provide insights into the relationship between gamification, engagement, and customer stickiness in Shopee Games but also open opportunities to strategically implement gamification to effectively enhance long-term customer engagement and stickiness.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the enhancement of the organizational innovation capability (OIC) in the South Sumatra Balitbangda through the role of organizational culture (OC), with the help of knowledge sharing (KS) as an intervening variable to help South Sumatra Balitbangda, which is a supporting element of the government responsible for government innovation in the South Sumatra region, maximize their competence in innovation capability. This research uses a quantitative approach with census sampling method which covers all of Balitbangda’s active employees. The examination of the collected data uses the PLS-SEM method with a total of 53 valid questionnaire responses from Balitbangda’s employees. The results indicate that OC and KS positively and significantly influence enhancing OIC. It has also proved that KS effectively mediates the relationship between OC and OIC. This study suggests a bigger sample size and scope, and the exploration of other potential variables in enhancing innovation capabilities for future research.

Abstract

Primadana  Yogyakarta  Savings  and  Loans  Cooperative  has  problems  with leadership  style  and  compensation  which  ultimately  affects  employee performance.  It  was  found  that  leaders  were  less  familiar  with  subordinates, leaders  were  more  focused  on  building  relationships  with  superiors  and  less focused  on  subordinates,  and  employees  felt  the  percentage  value  of  each compensation  was  getting  smaller.  The  problems  that  occur  require  further research to be carried out. The purpose of this research is to determine the direct and  indirect  influence  of  Transformational  leadership  and  compensation  on employee  performance  through  work  motivation  at  the  Yogyakarta  Primadana Savings and Loans Cooperative. The population in this study were 62 employees of the Yogyakarta Primadana Savings and Loans Cooperative. The data collection method uses a questionnaire with the data analysis method using the path analysis test  with  the  SPSS  application.  This  research  shows  that  transformational leadership  has  a  positive  and  significant  effect  on  employee  motivation  and performance,  compensation  has  a  positive  and  significant  effect  on  employee motivation  and  performance.  Motivation  mediates  the  influence  of transformational  leadership  and  compensation  on  employee  performance  at  the Yogyakarta  Primadana  Savings  and  Loans  Cooperative.  Companies  must, through  managers/leaders,  strive  to  continue  implementing  a  transformational leadership style and develop work motivation and empowerment for employees, because this has an influence on the performance that will be achieved by company employee.

Abstract

Research  aims  to  offer  comprehensive  understanding  of  the  factors  influencing organizational performance, particularly in the context of member trust, thereby contributing to broader discourse on human capital management and cooperative development.  Utilizing  multidimensional  framework  of  human  capital  and grounded  in  prevailing  challenges  faced  by  cooperative  businesses,  research elucidates pivotal role of human capital as organizational performance. Approach research was based on descriptive research techniques, in cross-sectional survey, is to observe (collect data about) specific occurrence, often at single point in time. To address research questions, this study adopts descriptive research technique and survey measures to capture objective and social reality of employee performance. Sample  included  140  respondents  of  Flower  Market  Traders  Association  in Kopeng, Semarang district, Central Java Province. Data gathering period lasted from January until October 2023. Researcher created questionnaire and collected data using Google Forms. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling  (SEM)  with  Smart-PLS  (Partial  Least  Square)  software.  Based  on study's results, workgroup effectiveness directly influences employee performance and contributes to its success. Moreover, member trust as moderator in correlation between  workgroup  effectiveness  and  employee  performance.  Research  offers theoretical and practical implications for implementing workgroup effectiveness to enhance employee performance and member trust as moderator.

Abstract

This study aims to enhancing msmes business performance using behavioral intention and use social media marketing with the moderating role of resistance to change. Social media marketing is a strategic factor in business performance. Behavioral intention and use social media marketing have received special attention in the context of use social media marketing due to its important role in enhancing business performance. This study used a survey method with 300 respondents. For analyzing  the data using Smart-PLS (Partial Least Square) for Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The results show that behavioral intention positively affect on use social media marketing and use social media marketing positively affects on employee performance. Furthermore, resistance to change acts as a negatively moderation between the relation behavioral intention on use social media marketing them. This research provides further suggestions on how behavioral intention can improve use social media marketing and enhancing business performance in their working area.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze social media, which has emerged as a medium influencing perceptions and behaviors. In the dynamic landscape of digital media, social platforms have fundamentally reshaped how individuals navigate and express their identities, ushering in a new era of online influence. At the forefront of this transformative wave are social media influencers, whose ability to craft compelling personas within specific niches has garnered them significant sway over audience perceptions and behaviors. This qualitative study delves deep into the intricate methods employed by influencers to shape their online presence, with a particular focus on Instagram and the renowned account @kulinersby. Through meticulous observation and content analysis, this research unveils the nuanced strategies utilized by influencers, including the strategic deployment of authentic storytelling, visually captivating content, and interactive engagement tactics. By shedding light on these key findings, this study not only offers valuable insights into the influential role of influencers but also provides a deeper understanding of the evolving dynamics between influencers and their audiences in the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the role of management in the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the tourist sector as a catalyst for local economic development in the Lebak District. The study` takes a qualitative methodology, with government agencies and MSME actors in Lebak District serving as research informants. The findings emphasize the importance of effective management techniques in the development and growth of MSMEs operating in tourist attraction regions. Strong government support through local rules, streamlined licensing procedures, and the availability of suitable business locations are all important elements impacting MSME development. However, problems such as limited availability to raw materials, marketing limits, and financial constraints. It is crucial to focus on improving management competencies for the MSME actor  in order to handle these difficulties and boost MSME development. This includes assisting with infrastructure development, developing human resource skills, and encouraging collaboration among government agencies, local communities, and MSME actors. Furthermore, the government should make the finance more accessible and provide business training programs to empower MSMEs in the tourism sector and drive local economic growth in the Lebak District. Effective management practices are critical for guaranteeing MSMEs' long-term viability and competitiveness in the fast-paced tourist business.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate consumer acceptance of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in the context of modern retail by applying the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). TAM is used to analyze consumer perceptions of the usefulness and ease of use of IoT technology, particularly in information systems, smart checkout, and smart displays in the retail environment. The population used in this research consists of modern retail consumers who use IoT devices, with a sample of 300 respondent individuals. Data were collected through a Google Form questionnaire and then subjected to validity and reliability tests to evaluate the fit and reliability of the proposed model. The study also analyzed the relationship between exogenous and endogenous variables and conducted hypothesis testing using PLS-SEM. The research results indicate that all proposed hypotheses have a positive and significant impact. These findings provide in-depth insights into consumer responses and acceptance of IoT technology in modern retail. The implications of these findings can assist stakeholders, including retailers and technology developers, in designing more effective marketing strategies and enhancing the acceptance of IoT technology in the modern retail environment. Thus, this research highlights the significant potential of IoT in transforming the modern retail industry.
