Abstract

The food ordering information system serves as a viable solution for managing the food ordering procedure within the firm. The company faces challenges in its food ordering process, which is currently conducted manually using paper notes. This manual approach leads to errors, particularly during busy periods at the restaurant. These errors include the accumulation of notes, unsorted orders, and incorrect deliveries. As a result, employees are required to exert more effort and concentration to address these issues. The system design commences with the initial step of scrutinizing the accumulated data. Moreover, the design phase, also known as system design, employs a systematic approach that begins with the creation of an Event List, Use Case Diagram, and User Interface. Subsequently, the system is designed and tested using the black box testing method.

Abstract

The utilization of financial information systems in companies has become part of the application of information technology, but there are challenges in the complexity and risk of its implementation. This study uses a qualitative and quantitative approach with the information technology audit method and the COBIT 5 framework. The research objectives analyzed the Maturity Level in the EDM, APO, BAI, and DSS domains using the COBIT 5 framework. The results showed a GAP between Current Maturity and Expected Maturity in each domain. The EDM domain has an average Current Maturity of 3.80, at the Manage and Measurable level, with the highest GAP in IT utilization. The APO domain has an average Current Maturity of 4.00, also at the Manage and Measurable level, with the highest GAP in portfolio management and IT quality services. The BAI domain has an average Current Maturity of 3.96, at the Manage and Measurable level, with the highest GAP in managing IT service availability and capacity. The DSS domain has an average Current Maturity of 4.40, at the Manage and Measurable level, with the highest GAP in the implementation of IT operating procedures. The research conclusions highlight areas of improvement involving information system management, information system portfolio management, and the effectiveness of operating financial reporting information system utilization procedures to improve maturity levels and optimize the utilization of the company's financial information systems.

Abstract

This study reviews the SWOT analysis of these businesses, analyses business risks that MSMEs in the F&B industry face, and develops methods to mitigate those risks. Representing MSMEs in the growing food and beverage sector, Delightful Bites offers classic Indonesian pastries and drinks with unique flavours and creative touches. But they also face a lot of challenges and risks in running their firm, such as scarce resources, fierce rivalry, shifting costs for necessities, and shifting consumer tastes. This research uses a qualitative, case study methodology and is conducted through semi-structured interviews with the owners and managers of Delightful Bites, direct observation at the establishment, and analysis of business documents such as financial statements, business plans, promotional materials, and internal records. The results indicate that Delightful Bites has several strengths, including innovative products, a prime location, the use of substitute raw materials, and the use of local raw resources. These MSMEs are vulnerable to a number of risks, though, such as dependency on a single supplier, limited manufacturing capacity, and dependence on other factors. Furthermore, the study indicates that Delightful Bites has the ability to execute risk mitigation tactics, such as broadening its geographic reach by opening new branches or outlets in key locations, partnering with external parties for large-scale production, and allocating funds for more effective production facilities and equipment. It is hoped that this research will provide insightful information about practical approaches that MSMEs in the food and beverage sector can use to reduce risks and obstacles to business.

Abstract

Fintech has transformed the global financial sector, providing more efficient, inclusive, and accessible financial services. Fintech has great potential to improve access to financial services, financial literacy, and more effective financial management for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). MSMEs often experience barriers in accessing traditional financial services, which can hinder their business growth and sustainability. Fintech offers solutions that are more flexible and tailored to the needs of MSMEs, such as online loans with lighter terms, digital payment systems that facilitate transactions, and financial management applications that assist MSMEs in managing their finances more effectively. In addition, fintech also plays a role in improving MSMEs' financial literacy through digital financial education and training, which is crucial in helping them make informed financial decisions. This research uses descriptive method and literature analysis. Data was received from other studies that reviewed the role of fintech in the context of MSMEs. The results show that fintech has great potential to improve access to financial services, especially in developing countries. Fintech can improve the operational efficiency of MSMEs through solutions such as digital payments and financial process automation, which can help MSMEs save time and costs, and increase productivity. The urgency of improving MSMEs' knowledge and utilization of fintech is high, given the important role of MSMEs in the economy and the potential of fintech in supporting their business growth.

Abstract

Education in the digital age demands innovative approaches to learning, particularly in developing problem-solving skills. The main problem faced in traditional education is the lack of real context and practical situations that stimulate students' critical and creative thinking. A potential solution to this problem is the utilization of YouTube as a problem-solving-based learning medium. YouTube provides access to a variety of educational content featuring case studies, simulations, and real-life examples, which can assist students in understanding and applying concepts in a more practical context. This study uses mixed research methods to investigate how YouTube can be utilized in problem-solving-based learning. Data collection was conducted through quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with students and educators who have used YouTube in their learning. Data analysis shows that the integration of YouTube in learning can improve students' concept understanding, facilitate problem identification and analysis, and support the real-time exchange of ideas and solutions through the interactivity of the platform. The results show the potential of YouTube as an innovative learning tool that can improve students' problem-solving skills. The use of educational videos and interactive features such as comments and live streaming encourage student engagement and collaborative learning. This research provides insights for educators in designing and implementing learning strategies that utilize digital technology effectively.

Abstract

In the modern era of technology, it is crucial to have access to the most up-to-date technical advancements. However, not everyone has the means to regularly upgrade their gadgets to keep pace with these improvements. This phenomenon can be attributed to the exorbitant expenses and transitory demand for technology, particularly in emerging nations like Indonesia, where the rental sector remains inadequately developed. This research proposes the construction of a mobile phone and camera rental application named Quick-Rent. The application is created using the Prototyping method, which is a system development approach. The prototyping method was selected due to its ability to enable developers to evaluate and enhance features depending on user feedback right from the outset of the design process. This application is specifically intended to enhance the efficiency of the leasing process by adapting system features based on user needs analysis. The findings indicated that certain system features were modified based on the user needs analysis. The system implementation process and the 7 scenario of blackbox testing confirmed the validity and usability of these features.
