Menopause is a natural process that every woman will experience. Menopause is the end of a woman's reproductive period or the time her last menstrual cycle occurs. The active reproductive period is marked by the first menstruation or what is usually called menarche. The diagnosis of menopause is made after amenorrhea for at least one year. Cessation of menstruation may be preceded by a longer menstrual cycle with less bleeding. The type of research was analytical observational or analytical survey with a retrospective cohort approach. This research was conducted at the Bara-Baraya Community Health Center, Makassar City, South Sulawesi The samples in this study were women who had gone through menopause, were able to speak Indonesian, were not seriously ill (such as a stroke) and were not impaired by their sense of sight and hearing (such as blindness or deafness). This research used 47 respondents taken by purposive sampling technique. The data analysis used the multiple linear regression test. The results of this study showed there was an effect of contraceptive history and nutritional status on the incidence of menopause in women. Therefore, it is hoped that there will be a program for health workers around menopause for women.

Abstract

School-age children's knowledge of cough and sneeze etiquette is mostly in the low category. Cough and sneeze etiquette looks very simple, but most children admitted that they do not know and understand how to apply proper cough and sneeze etiquette. One of the recommended ways to prevent the spread of infection is to cover the mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing or often referred to as cough and sneeze etiquette. This study aimed to determine the effect of linear multimedia on students' knowledge about cough and sneeze ethics at SDN IV Tapan Tulungagung Regency. The design of the study used Quasy Experiment (pseudo experiment). The sampling technique used non-probability sampling; purposive sampling technique. Comparison of knowledge values between the pre-test and post-test indicated that there was a significant difference between the level of knowledge before and after being given education on cough and sneeze ethics through linear multimedia. Through those results, it can be concluded that there is an effect of linear multimedia on students' knowledge and attitudes about cough and sneeze ethics at SDN IV Tapan Tulungagung Regency. Therefore, linear multimedia can be used as a suitable educational media for school-age children

This paper aims to account for those factors that affect competence during clinical learning of Nursing student through a Problem Based Learning curriculum. Thus, the paper reflects a section from a study whose objective was to investigate and outline professional nurses’ understandings of the clinical competencies of final-year Nursing student participating in a Problem Based Learning curriculum during clinical training in the North West Province, South Africa. A qualitative, explorative, descriptive and contextual research design was employed in the main study which had a target population of professional nurses in three hospitals in which the Nursing student following a Problem-Based Learning curriculum were placed for clinical learning. The study employed purposive sampling techniques with semi-structure interviews. In this paper, two themes and six subthemes are ported as follows: 1. that there was dysfunctional collaboration between all stakeholders including facilitators and professional nurses and 2. Professional nurses had attitudes towards Problem Based Learning. Clinical placements required meticulous planning and identification of specific theoretical learning which matched the practical learning requirements pertinent to the Nursing student’ training levels. It is therefore concluded that the development of the clinical competence of Nursing student in a Problem Based Learning curriculum is dependent on stakeholder collaboration.

Abstract

The number of cases of maternal death in 2020 was 122, an increase of 25 cases compared to 2019, which was 97 cases of maternal death. The highest number of maternal death cases was in West Lombok district with 43 cases. The maternal mortality rate in NTB Province has increased from 93.92 per 100,000 live births to 119.05 per 100,000 live births. When compared with the performance achievements in the RPJMN, the NTB province is still below the national target. The 4T factors (too old, too young, too closely spaced between pregnancies and too many children) can increase cases of complications in the mother. Birth interval between one child and another child of less than 2 years can increase the risk of maternal death. Delivery at intervals of less than 24 months (too often) is a high-risk group for postpartum hemorrhage. This research aimed to determine the risk factors experienced by pregnant women so that prevention can be taken to prevent maternal death during childbirth. The research method used a quantitative analytical observational with a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) approach. The research results showed that pregnant women did not understand the danger signs and risk factors for 4T, so that pregnant women are able to take preventive measures. Apart from that, this research also provides anticipatory solutions so that pregnant women and their husbands can avoid further complications related to the risks of 4T. This research concludes that the understanding of pregnant women and their husbands regarding the danger signs and risks of 4T has increased so that they are able to know the mother's condition during pregnancy and are able to plan and have a healthy pregnancy.

Abstract

Operating room nurses are at risk of burnout. They face many stressors, such as the workload that must be finished. Using coping strategies that are adaptive to the situation will allow nurses to cope with their stressors. This research aimed to determine the correlation between workload and coping strategies with burnout syndrome in operating room nurses. The method used correlational research with cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was operating room nurses at Karsa Husada Batu Hospital. The number of samples was 26 nurses based on the total sampling technique. The data was collected from the workload questionnaire, ways of coping questionnaire, and Maslach burnout inventory. The data was analyzed using Spearman rank correlation test. The univariate analysis results showed that most of the respondents had a light workload, 16 people (61.5%), the most of respondents used problem-focus coping, 17 people (65.4%), and most respondents experienced low burnout syndrome, 16 people (61.5%). The bivariate analysis showed that workload had a correlation with burnout syndrome (p = 0.000) and coping strategies had a correlation with burnout syndrome (p = 0.032). A light workload and the use of problem-focused coping will reduce work stress experienced by nurses so that the development of burnout does not occur

Abstract

Childhood stunting, a persistent public health concern in Indonesia, has significant implications for long-term health. Improving the knowledge of balanced nutrition among Posyandu cadres plays a pivotal role in tackling this issue. Our objective was to assess the impact of balanced nutrition education on Posyandu cadre knowledge concerning stunting prevention. The research involved 129 participants and evaluated their knowledge through pretest and posttest scores, employing the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test for statistical analysis. The results indicated that the majority of respondents initially possessed "sufficient" and "good" knowledge levels. However, following the educational intervention, a remarkable 69.8% achieved "good" knowledge, with a minimal 0.8% showing "insufficient" knowledge. The statistical analysis further revealed a significant disparity between pretest and posttest knowledge scores, underscoring the substantial and beneficial impact of balanced nutrition education. In conclusion, this research confirms the positive influence of nutrition education on Posyandu cadre knowledge. The findings emphasize the urgency of sustained, accessible nutritional education programs supported by government and healthcare institutions. Such efforts are imperative for effective stunting prevention, especially in high-stunting regions like East Nusa Tenggara.
