Abstract

DEVELOPING LEARNING MULTIMEDIA BASED SCIENTIFIC APPROACH INTEGRATED WITH CHARACTER VALUES FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL’S STUDENTS IN YOGYAKARTA  This study was aimed at developing a learning multimedia based scientific approach integrated with character values for elementary students’ in Yogyakarta. The approach usedin this study was Research and Development (R D) which was adopted from development model of Borg and Gall. Subjects consisted of teachers and students at first grade in elementary school of Yogyakarta. Data was collected using questionnaire, observation, and documentation study, supported with focus group discussion (FGD) and also logbook.Data was analysed using through descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The results were including: (1) Based on preliminary research it can be found that character education has not been implemented effectively; (2) Focus Group Discussion (FGD) indicates that the integration of character education into subject matters is  significant and  a must; and (3) A prototipe of learning multimedia was developed and produced; and the multimedia had been validated by experts (media and material).

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this study was to improve interaction and learning achievement in mathematics through cooperative learning using concept maps and teaching aids. The research was a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles. The class was one of the second year classes of the State Senior High School 11 Medan. In the first cycle, cooperative learning using concept maps and teaching aids was conducted. In the second cycle the cooperative learning was also conducted but by enforcing group discussions. Evaluation process was conducted by using self-reflection, group discussion, quizzes, and tests. The results showed that the cooperative learning approach using concept map and teaching aids could improve students’ interaction and achievement. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul elektronik berbasis web dalam format mobile version sebagai media pembelajaran fisika yang dapat diakses melalui smartphone berplatform android. Metode penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah Research and Development (RD). Instrumen penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah lembar penilaian ahli materi, lembar penilaian ahli media, angket respons guru, dan angket respon siswa. Berdasarkan penelitian dihasilkan modul elektronik berbasis web dalam format mobile version yang dikembangkan dengan memanfaatkan layanan penyedia blog wordpress.com. Berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi dan ahli media dinyatakan sangat layak untuk digunakan serta uji lapangan menunjukan bahwa produk berupa Modul elektronik berbasis web dengan format mobile version dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa ditunjukkan dengan perolehan skor ternormalisasi sebesar 0,32

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) pengaruh motivasi terhadap minat mahasiswa mengikuti Pendidikan Profesi Akuntansi (PPAk) dan (2) perbedaan motivasi dan minat mahasiswa mengikuti PPAk berdasarkan status akreditasi Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (PTS). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah ex post facto. Objek penelitian adalah motivasi dan minat mahasiswa mengikuti PPAk. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa S1 Program Studi Akuntansi pada 14 PTS di Yogyakarta, Prodi Akuntansi terakreditasi A sebanyak 5 PTS, terakreditasi B sebanyak 5 PTS, dan terakreditasi C sebanyak 4 PTS. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dan uji beda rata-rata Kruskal Wallis dan Man Whitney test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, mahasiswa berminat mengikuti PPAk karena termotivasi mendapatkan pengetahuan tambahan, bangga memperoleh gelar akuntan, biaya terjangkau, jangka waktu pendidikan singkat, dan lebih mudah lulus ujian sertifikasi akuntan publik. Kedua, mahasiswa paling berminat mengikuti PPAk adalah mahasiswa akuntansi terakreditasi B, sebaliknya yang paling kurang berminat adalah yang terakreditasi C.Kata kunci: motivasi, minat, pendidikan profesi akuntansi THE EFFECT OF MOTIVATION ON STUDENTS’ INTEREST IN JOINING ACCOUNTING PROFESSION EDUCATION AbstractThis study was aimed at finding out (1) the effect of motivation on students’ interest in joining accounting profession education (APE), and (2) the differences of motivation and students’ interest in joining APE based on the accreditation status in Private Higher Education (PHE). This study used ex-post facto method. The object of this research was motivation and interest of students in joining APE.While the subjects of the study were undergraduate students majoring in accounting of private universities in Yogyakarta. The data were collected by using questionnaires. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis; Kruskal-Wallis and Man Whitney test. The results show that: (1) students are interested in participating APE because they are motivated to gain additional knowledge, proud to be accountants, the cost is affordable, the time courses is relatively short, and it makes them easier to pass the public accountant certification exam, (2) students who are most interested in joining APE are students from accounting department accredited as B, on the other hand the least interested students are the ones from accounting department accredited as C.Keywords: motivation and interests, accounting profession education, private higher education

Abstract

Abstract This research is the first year of multi-year research. It has three main considerations. Firstly, education is something that inseparable from human life and has a very fundamental function in building human attitude. Secondly, social life skill is a very important skill that should be learned and mastered gradually. The research method is survey and using quantitative as well as qualitative approach complementary. The research subjects are from Yogyakarta and Central Java provinces. The research subjects are 161 consist of 105 preschool educators, 50 parents,4 school committee and 4 are officers from the local office of education. The data were analyzed descriptively. The result shows that most of the preschool educators do not comprehend properly on the meaning of social skill, and also do not really realize on how to put into practice in their educating practice preparation. The society especially decision makers in the local office of education have not specifically socialized on the aspects of social skills. Keywords: early childhood educator, and social life skill

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to find ou tthe most appropriate step to anticipate the drop-out problem in State/Public Elementary School(SDN) and State /Public Junior High School (SLTPN), so that the fulfillment of compulsory education could be accomplished. The research is done by an action research, which is divided into three cycles. Every cycle consists of: planning, action, observation/ monitoring, and reflection to the observation. The writer had chosen 10 schools in South Kalimantan (5SDN and 5 SLTPN), which are relevant to the problem (from those schools there are 100 students from pre-prosperous family (pra sejahtera)). Data are collected by using questionnaires, observation, interviews, and are analyzed descripted in percentage. The results of this research are follows: (1) The first cycle: the action has succeeded to raise  the students’ achievement from 6.59 to 6.96. (2) The second cycle: most of the students (60%) had understood “muatan local” (local content),(3) The third cycle: the students and the  parents were able to run 81 kinds of small/ home industry (from muatan local), so that they could get benefit from their home industry and pay  the school fee. Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is getting information about: 1) to know the component contribution of technology on the Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) according to Technometric Method; 2) to know application degree of the technology component on each school; 3) to know technology developing priority on that school. The kind of this research is survey. This research objects are Public SMK that chosen by purposive technique. The data resources in this research are: facilities (technoware), abilities (humanware), facts (infoware),  and frameworks (orgaware) that adopted from SMK’s Minimum Services Standard. Analysis method is techno metric. By thid research, we have information about: 1) the highest of component contribution in Public SMK is orgaware, then inforware, humanware, and technoware is lowest. In the otherhand, in private SMK is humanware, then inforware, orgaware, and technoware in the lowest. 2) according to assessment scale for technologycontribution coefficient (TCC) has known that the grade of quality of Public SMk and Private SMK on good qualification. 3) Through problem mapping with technometric analysis, priorities of school quality improvement can be decided. Priority of quality improvement in Public SMK begin from human abilities, then facilities, organization, and fact/ information. While in Private SMK starts from facilities, then human abilities, fact/ information, and organization for the last. Keywords: technology, components contribution, technology-contribution coefficient

Abstract

The aim of this study was to improve the learning effectiveness of both learning process quality and standard competency achievement in the application of the competency-based contextual learning model in the Cooling Technique and Air Management class. The study was conducted in Elekctrical Department of Engineering Faculty of Yogyakarta State University. The study was classroom action research involving several cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 13 D3 students who took the subject of the Cooling Technique and Air Management during the odd semester in the academic year of 2008/2009. Data were gathered using questionnaires, observation, tests, and tasks or quizzes. Data analysis was descriptive using percentages. The results showed that the use of the competency-based contextual learning model on the subject of Cooling Technique and Air Management was able to improve learning effectiveness of both the process and output of learning.

Abstract

MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MEMBACA BERBASIS AUDIO-VIDEO UNTUK SISWA TUNAGRAHITAAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun model pembelajaran membaca untuk siswa SDLB C (tunagrahita) dan menerapkan model tersebut pada siswa dengan media (software) yang telah dibuat. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development dengan tahap prapengembangan, pengembangan, penerapan model, dan revisi serta pengembangan model. Model pembelajaran dibangun berdasarkan penelusuran pustaka, konsultasi dengan psikolog klinis anak berkebutuhan khusus dan wawancara dengan guru SDLB. Penelitian dilakukan sampai pada tahap penerapan model. Penerapan model dilakukan dengan menggunakan media software pembelajaran berbasis audio-video. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa di 6 SDLB kelas 3 sampai 4 dengan indikasi tunagrahita ringan (hasil tes IQ 50-75) yang belum bisa/belum lancar membaca. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen, yaitu melakukan pretest, treatment dengan model pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan, dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, model pembelajaran membaca berbasis auido-video dapat menunjang pembelajaran membaca pada pendidikan luar biasa tingkat dasar. Kedua, nilai pretest, posttest, dan uji statistik lain menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran membaca berbasis audio-video sangat signifikan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca anak tunagrahita.Kata kunci: audio-video, pembelajaran membaca, tunagrahitaAbstractThis study was aimed at generating a reading learning model for metally-retarded students in inclusive elementary schools and applying the model using the software that was developed. The study used the Research and Development method with pre-development, development, model implementation, revision, and model development. The learning model was generated from literature review, consultation with clinical psychologists, and interviews with the inclusive school teachers. The application of the model was done by using audio-video based learning media (software). The subjects of this study were the third and fourth grade students in 6 inclusive schools with an indication of mental retardation (IQ test score 50-75) who had not/could not read fluently. The activities were done in an experimental technique consistsing of pretest, treatment with the developed model, and posttest. The results show that first, the model of learning can be one of the solutions that support the learning of reading for the extraordinary level of basic education. Second, the results of pretest, posttest, and statistical test show that the model significantly improve the reading ability of the mental-retarded students.Keywords: audio-video learning media, learningof reading, mental retardation

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan akurasi penggunaan skala Likert dan bentukpilihan ganda untuk mengukur self-regulated learning (SRL). Instrumen pengukur SRL denganformat Likert dan pilihan ganda yang diskor berjenjang dikembangkan dengan kisi-kisi yang sama.Responden penelitian yaitu 125 mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Matematika dan IPAUniversitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Karakteristik butir instrumen dianalisis dengan graded responsemodel menggunakan TESTFACT. Dengan menggunakan karakteristik butir-butir penyusun skala,nilai fungsi informasi perangkat dan kesalahan pengukuran standar diestimasi. Semakin tingginilai fungsi informasi perangkat, semakin tinggi akurasinya untuk mengukur SRL. Semakin kecilkesalahan pengukuran standar, semakin tinggi akurasinya untuk mengukur SRL. Hasil analisisdengan menggunakan nilai fungsi informasi dan kesalahan pengukuran standar menunjukkan bahwaperangkat menggunakan skala Likert lebih akurat dibandingkan dengan menggunakan pilihan ganda
