Abstract

The government poverty alleviation program could not give a significant changeto reduce poverty. It needed a support from other sub-system, such as zakah.Zakah, as one of the Islamic fiscal instruments has played a significant role inIslamic economic. The potential of zakah would cover several aspects like povertyalleviation program through social welfare system. Zakah could obtain a socialwelfare system such as workplace accident insurance, old age pension, pensioninsurance, and death insurace. In addition, other problems such as housing forthe poor, capital investment and education could be cared through zakah ifzakah was managed and developed in a maximal way.Program pengentasan kemiskinan yang dijalankan oleh pemerintah masihbelum memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap penurunan tingkatkemiskinan. Ia membutuhkan dukungan dari sub sistem lain termasuk zakat.Zakat merupakan salah satu instrumen fiskal Islam yang telah memberikanperanan cukup signifikan dalam sistem ekonomi Islam. Potensi zakat akanmampu mencakup berbagai macam aspek termasuk untuk program pengentasankemiskinan dalam bentuk sistem jaminan sosial. Zakat dapat dipergunakandalam berbagai bentuk sistem jaminan sosial, seperti asuransi tenaga kerja,asuransi pensiun dan asuransi jiwa. Serta untuk mengatasi berbagai macammasalah seperti perumahan, akses permodalan dan pendidikan bagi si miskinyang dapat dilakukan melalui maksimalisasi pengelolaan dan pendayagunaanzakat.

Abstract

No religion teaches the ugliness and the violence. All religions areexpecting goodness and peace for all people. Even no text (Scriptures)allow people to do crime or violence to another religious community. ThePhenomenon in Indonesia that mutual tolerance towards all religions(Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity and Catholicismin Chinese) was an example that religion could give benefction andmake soul people peace. But, to achieve that goal was not easy. TheDifferenciations in the perception, a shallow understanding of doctrineand narrow understanding were the triggers of violence based on religion,because of each group has their own truth claim. One of the way tomake them peace and more sympathy was through contextualization ofa plural society.Tidaklah ada agama yang mengajarkan keburukan dan kekerasan.Semua agama mengharapkan kebaikan dan kedamaian bagi seluruhumat manusia. Bahkan dalam teks (Kitab Suci) tidak ada satupunayat yang menghalalkan untuk berbuat  kejahatan apalagi  kekerasanantar kelompok yang berlatar agama. Fenomena di Indonesia yang salingtoleransi terhadap semua agama (Islam, Kristen, Budha, Hindu, KristenKatolik dan Tionghoa)  adalah contoh bahwa agama sesungguhnya bisamenjadikan dasar jiwa manusia untuk selalu berbuat kebajikan demimencapai kedamaian. Namun untuk mencapai tujuan luhur tersebuttidaklah mudah. Perbedaan persepsi,  doktrin, dan pemahaman yangdangkal dianggap sebagai pemicu terjadinya kekerasan yang berlataragama, sebab masing-masing kelompok memiliki klaim kebenaran. Klaim kebenaran sangatlah melekat kuat pada semua agama. Untuk mendamaikanklaim kebenaran tersebut adalah dengan cara menempatkannya dalamkonteks masyarakat yang plural.

Abstract

The way of understanding to the mutasyabihat attributes of God, often become an object of discussion or even the reasons to mislead another Muslims. Thishappens since the past until today. The Effort to introduce more tolerant methodsare needed to enable people aqidah and to maintain Islamic brotherhood.Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani was the leader that was recognized by scholarsacross schools of thought among Muslims. He was also known by IndonesianMuslims. So that the ideas of his thinking should be spread, like the methodsto understand the mutasyabihat attributes of God. In understanding themutasyabihat attributes of God, al-Jilani would prefer to use tafwidh method.But he did not directly assume misguiding people who disagreed with him. Heonly revealed that misguiding people in understanding the attributes of Godare, first; people who personified God like creatures (such as Syi’ah ghaliyah);second; people who denied the attributes of God, although they reasoned to cleanHim (such as Jahmiyah).Cara memahami terhadap sifat-sifat Allah yang mutasyabihat, seringkali menjadibahan diskusi bahkan alasan untuk menyesatkan di antara kaum muslim.Hal tersebut terjadi sejak dulu hingga sekarang. Upaya mengenalkan metodepemahaman yang lebih bersifat toleran diperlukan supaya aqidah umat tetapterjaga dan ukhwuah di antara mereka pun tetap terpelihara.  Syaikh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani adalah tokoh yang diakui oleh para ulama lintas madzhab dan kelompok-kelompok yang ada di antara umat Islam. Ia pun dikenalluas oleh umat Islam Indonesia. Sehingga penyebaran ide-ide pemikirannyalayak dilakukan, misalnya terkait metode memahami sifat-sifat Allah yangmutasyabihat. Dalam memahami sifat-sifat Allah yang mutasyabihat, SyaikhAbdul Qadir al-Jilani lebih memilih menggunakan metode tafwidh. Namun iatidak otomatis menganggap sesat orang yang berbeda pendapat dengannya tentangpemilihan metode tersebut. Ia hanya mengungkapkan bahwa yang sesat dalammemahami sifat-sifat Allah adalah pertama, mereka yang mempersonifikasikanAllah seperti makhluk (seperti kelompok syi’ah ghaliyah); kedua, mereka yangmengingkari sifat-sifat Allah, meskipun dengan alasan untuk mensucikan-Nya(seperti kelompok Jahmiyah).

Abstract

Pluralism is a challenge which must be dealt by lofty and wise action. Actually,peace culture had an accurate base dealing with pluralism, then become solutionto keep sturdy coalescence and nation. The challenge of pluralism should bean opportunity to exhibit Islamic existence through al Quran and Hadits as amanual and guide in Inonesian sociail life. The plurailsm in Indonesia couldbe solved by having Al Quran and Hadits as a references to think globally andinclusively, not exclusively. People with government should cooperate each otherto face a challenge of pluralism, until no more conflict on behalf a religion.Pluralisme adalah kemajemukan yang harus dihadapi dengan sikap arif dan bijaksana. Budaya perdamaian sebenarnya telah memiliki landasan yang kuatuntuk menghadapi pluralisme, sehingga menjadi solusi untuk tetap menjagakokohnya persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa. Tantangan pluralisme seharusnyamenjadi peluang untuk menunjukkan eksistensi Islam, dengan menjadikan alQuran dan Hadits sebagai pedoman dan tuntunan dalam kehidupan sosialmasyarakat Indonesia. Solusi untuk menghadapi pluralisme di Indonesia adalahdengan menjadikan Al Quran dan Hadits sebagai rujukan untuk berpikir globaldan inklusif bukan eklusif. Sudah seharusnya masyarakat bersama seluruhelemen pemerintah menjalin kerjasama yang serius untuk menghadapi tantanganpluralisme, agar tidak terjadi lagi konflik yang mengatasnamakan agama.

Abstract

This article elucidated the strategic management of developing Islamic culturein the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim (UIN Maliki)Malang. Strategic management could be applied to every organization size andto every organization level. The strategic management applied from the top tothe lower level units. The development of Islamic culture is an important partof the mission and vision of UIN Maliki Malang which has experienced ongoing metamorphosis starting from IAIN, STAIN, and UIN Maliki Malang.This case study used a qualitative research method. The reseacher found that,the changes of UIN Maliki Malang were  relatively fast and this development certainly needed a careful handling to improve the quality of the noble cause of education in an Islamic institution. However, the implementation of Islamicvalues has still a big gap between values and reality in its application. Controlfunction of management concept should be applied to ensure the embodyingvalues to Campus or people. The organizational leadership in the institutionof UIN Maliki Malang needed to be more empowered and implemented inaccordance with the principles of shining noble teachings of the Qur’an andHadith. The available resources must be utilized as much as possible. Finally, itconcluded that the concepts of quality improvement management with variousmodels and approaches that were available should be also embedded in the form of Islamic values. Artikel ini memapaparkan tentang manajemen strategik pada pengembanganbudaya Islami di perguruan tinggi Islam, studi kasus di Universitas IslamNegeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim (UIN Maliki) Malang. Manajemen strategikbisa diterapkan pada segala ukuran organisasi dan pada setiap level organisasidan didalam jenjang organisasi. Manajemen strategik dimulai dari level teratasdari organisasi strategik hingga tingkat paling bawah pada unit-unit organisasi.Pengembangan budaya Islami merupakan bagian penting dari manajemenstrategik dalam upaya mencapai visi dan tujuan organisasi UIN Maliki Malangyang telah mengalami perubahan mulai dari institut cabang Surabaya (IAIN)sekolah tinggi (STAIN), dan universitas (UIIS) hingga seperti sekarang ini (UINMaliki Malang). Dengan menggunakan studi kasus dibawah payung metode penelitian kualitatif, penulis menemukan bahwa perubahan organisasi UIN Maliki Malang relatif sangat cepat dan pengembangan (perubahan) ini tentumembutuhkan penanganan yang cermat dan hati-hati untuk meningkatkankualitas tujuan mulia pendidikan pada organisasi Islam seperti di UIN MalikiMalang. Namun demikian, implementasi nilai-nilai Islam di lapangan masihterdapat kesenjangan cukup besar antara nilai dan kenyataan. Fungsi pengawasansemestinya diterapkan untuk memastikan nilai-nilai tersebut melekat erat dikampus dan sivitas akademika. Kepemimpinan organisasi di lembaga UINMaliki Malang tampaknya perlu lebih diberdayakan dan diterapkan sesuaiprinsip-prinsip ajaran mulia yang bersumber pada al-Quran dan Hadist. Berbagaisumber yang tersedia masih perlu dimanfaatkan seoptimal mungkin untukmencapai tujuan  dari perubahan organisasi tersebut. Pada akhirnya, perubahanini meliputi pula konsep manajamen peningkatan mutu dengan berbagai modeldan pendekatan yang dimungkinkan dalam bentuk nilai-nilai Islam.

Abstract

The purpose of marriage is to achieve family sakinah, mawaddah, wa-rahmah.The achievement of this purpose will be known from some indications, such asthe achievement of peace, having child, as well as satisfy the biological needs(sexual). Many couples of marriage in Gayo Lues regency taken a divorcingdecision or to be polygamist for husband because they could not fulfil thebiological needs, because of the unhealthy spouse both physically and spiritually.The research aimed to find out the scholars’ perception about divorcing or beingpolygamist and to find out the scholars’ perception about health issue was madeas a requirement of marriage. The method of this research collecting data areobservation, interview, and documentation, then are explained on descriptive interpretative through qualitative approach. This research resulted that the scholars of Gayo Lues regency allowed the divorcing decision with necessaryreasons such as health and most major of them allowed the health issue whichwas made as the requirement of marriage. As a conclusion of this research, divorcewas not a forbidden act to be applied as long as it based on a necessary reasonand it was more beneficial than defending the marriage, in spite of the fact thatit was hated by God; and the healthy term could be made as a requirement ofthe marriage as the perfection of requirement not a validity one on purpose tominimize the divorcing decision as the effect of illness of spouse both physicallyand psychologically.Tujuan pernikahan dalam Islam adalah mencapai keluarga sakinah, mawaddah wa rahmah. Tujuan ini kan tercapai apabila beberapa kebutuhan berikut dapatterpenuhi; ketentraman jiwa, kelestarian keturunan, serta kebutuhan seksual. Di Kabupaten Gayo Lues ada suami atau istri yang mengambil keputusan untukbercerai, atau berpoligami bagi laki-laki, dengan alasan tidak terpenuhinyabeberapa kebutuhan tersebut. Suami atau istri tidak dapat memenuhi beberapakebutuhan di atas karena tidak sehat (tidak memiliki alat reproduksi yang sehat),akibatnya tidak mampu untuk bersetubuh atau berketurunan. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk memaparkan pandangan ulama terhadap perceraian ataupoligami tersebut, dan pandangan mereka bila kesehatan tersebut dijadikansebagai syarat penikahan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara,dan dokumentasi, kemudian disampaikan dalam bentuk deksriptif interpretatif karena merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Dari penelitiaan ini ditemukan bahwa ulama Gayo Lues membolekan perceraian atau poligami jika terdapat alasan-alasanyang kuat untuk melakukannya, salah satunya adalah alasan kesehatan, dan mayoritassetuju kesehatan dijadikan syarat nikah.Sebagai kesimpulan, perceraian atau poligami bukanlah perbuatan yang haram sehingga boleh dilakukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan seksual dari pada berzina atau untukmencari keturunan, jika dipandang hal tersebut lebih bermanfaat daripadamempertahankan keluarga yang ada walaupun cerai sangat dibenci oleh Allah. Dan kesehatan boleh dijadikan sebagai syarat pernikahan, untuk meminimalisir perceraian, perselingkuhan, dan perzinaan.

Abstract

Marriage is a religious tradition of the Prophet and a  devotion for people whoare ready both physically and mentally. There is a holy bond in a marriagethat must be kept by the bride and the groom. The marriage also emerges apossessing of the wealth together that must be divided equally if the one is dies.This is called the Joint property (gono-gini). The joint property (gono-gini) wasonly belong to the groom if bride dies, where commonly was owned to the both.But the reality, the joint property was not necessarily belong to the both whenone died. This was what happened in the community of Aceh Singkil. Thiswas what makes the researcher interested to research them. This study sought to reveal the view of Singkil’s society about the Joint property (gono-gini). This study used an observation and interview in obtaining the accurate and reliabledata. In Aceh Singkil, the joint property (gono-gini) would not be divided if thebride died and would be divided when groom died. This Singkil’s view based onthe reason of worry that if the bride would be left by the remarried husband, thejoint property held by her new husband, while if the husband left by his wife,the joint property would not be undistributed,  because he has a responsibilitytowards his children. This view could be concluded that the common law greatlyaffected the distribution of matrimonial property (Gono-gini).Pernikahan adalah sunnah Rasul dan merupakan ibadah bagi yang siap secarajasmani dan rohani. Harus dipahami dibalik ikatan pernikahan ada ikatanyang mengikat antara kedua mempelai. Disamping itu, ada beberapa hal  yang harus dijaga bersama. Salah satunya adalah harta bersama. Harta bersama(gono-gini) seolah-olah hanya milik mempelai laki-laki  jika mempelai wanitameninggal dunia. padahal hakikatnya harta bersama adalah milik bersama.Namun realitanya harta bersama tidak serta merta menjadi milik bersamaketika salah seorang  meninggal dunia. hal inilah yang terjadi di masyarakatAceh, tepatnya Aceh bagian Singkil. Inilah yang membuat peneliti tertarik untukmenelitinya. Penelitian ini berusaha mengungkapkan bagaimana pembagian harta gono-gini dalam pandangan masyarakat Aceh Singkil. Penelitian inimenggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara guna mendapatkan informasiyang akurat dan dapat dipertanggung jawabkan. Harta bersama (gono-gini)tidak mesti dibagikan jika mempelai wanita meninggal dunia. Jika yang terjadiadalah sebaliknya, maka harta bersama harus dibagikan. Keyakinan inibertahan lama sampai sekarang dikarenakan oleh pandangan bahwa mempelaiwanita jika ditinggal oleh suami akan menikah lagi, ditakutkan harta bersamadikuasai oleh suami barunya, sementara jika suami ditinggal oleh istri, hartatidak dibagikan sebab masih mempunyai tanggung jawab terhadap anak-anakmereka. Melihat pandangan diatas maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hukumadat sangat mempengaruhi proses pembagian harta bersama (gono-gini). Danminimnya peran ulama dalam pembagian harta bersama (gono-gini).

Abstract

The tolerance in Islam springs from Sharia in both its primary and secondary sources.  There are abundance evidences found in the Qur'an and Sunnah which order people to tolerate and avoid terror. Qur'an and Sunnah as a  primary sources of Sharia do not accept terror, but invite people to have a sense of tolerance and kindness and non-extremism in Islamic dealings. Islam unrecognized a differentiation among people, except the quality of their taqwa. That is why  there is no different between Arabs and non-Arabs. Therefore, the primary sources of Islam have no any relation with terror and killing of the innocent. Such an example, killing the innocent is done toward a certain direction, side, group, doctrine, political thought, or sect that are the reasons of terror and enmity which increase force within communities.

Abstract

Islam is a religion that emphasizes work or charity. Islam doesn’t want, or even hates the people who laze around. In the history, business ethos of Muslim society surpasses than any nation in the world. Therefore, Arabic traders are recognized as acontroller of the business in many countries around the world. Prophet Muhammad SAW and most of the companions are also known as the traders and entrepreneurs abroad. To show how important the work or charity, al Quran often link the ”faith” word with the “charity” word. Therefore, to achieve quality of life in the world and in the hereafter, Islam does not only teach his followers to “mahdah” worship (formal ritual such as prayer, zakat, hajj), but also greatly encouraged the people to work hard, of course under control. Faith and charity should interact each other. It means no matter how hard the work done, should always be within the framework of Islamic law. One of the hard work that is encouraged by Islam is entrepreneurship. The motivation of Muslim entrepreneur must be horizontal and vertical characteristic. The horizontal is viewed in its driving to develop the potential and desire which always look for many benefits to others, while the vertical is intended to devote to Allah SWT.

Abstract

 This study aims to determine how the image of social interaction patterns kyai and santri, to know the form of the changing patterns of social interaction that occurs between the kyai and santri after the modernization in the period 2005-2012, to determine what factors are causing cultural patron clients are able to survive until now. This is a qualitative research which uses a case study model. This study seeks to understand the cultural significance of patron-client relationships kyai and santri. To understand the meaning of relationships between kyai and santri, this study uses theoretical orientation or theoretical perspective with a phenomenological approach. The location of this research is in Pondok Pesantren Daarul Fikri Mulyoagung Dau Malang. Pondok Pesantren Daarul Fikri is an independent institution not affiliated to any organization or group. This makes Pondok Pesantren Daarul Fikri as educational institutions that promotes educational ideals of purity and free from political interests or certain groups.
