Abstract

This study examined the teachers’ perceptions of the pattern and consequences of examination malpractice among in-school adolescents in Kwara State. The descriptive survey design was adopted for this study. In each of the Senatorial districts in Kwara State, one hundred respondents took part in this study. Thus, a total of three hundred teachers participated in the study. A simple random technique was used in selecting the respondents. The researchers developed a questionnaire titled Pattern and Consequences of Examination Malpractice (PCEMQ) was administered to teachers. Six null hypotheses were tested using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and t-test statistical tool at 0.05 alpha level. The outcome of the study revealed that all the hypotheses were accepted. However, a significant difference was found in the pattern of examination malpractices based on gender. It is therefore recommended that school administrators should clearly spell out the rules and regulations guiding the conduct of examinations in schools. A constant reminder of these rules is expected to further strengthen compliance.

Abstract

This research aims to implement the parking retribution policy to increase Regional Original Income in the Susumbolan Market, Baolan District, and Tolitoli Regency, which still needs improvement. The problem is due to the need for more facilities for parking attendants, such as vests usually used in parking attendants, ID cards, whistles, and hats. This research aims to know how to implement a parking retribution policy to increase local revenue (PAD) in the Susumbolan market. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. The informants in this study were eight people, namely UPTD Pasar Susumbolan, the Market Coordinator, the Parking Attendant, and the people of the Baolan District. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results regarding the Implementation of Parking Retribution Policies in Increasing Regional Original Income (PAD) in the Susumbolan Market, Baolan District, and Tolitoli Regency using the theory of policy implementation proposed by 0045 Edward III have not run optimally. 1. communication went well; in the implementation of the parking, levy briefings were carried out almost every Monday so that the parking attendants understood their responsibilities. 2. Human resources are adequate but still inadequate from the dimensions of facility resources. Because parking attendants lack parking facilities such as vests, whistles, and ID cards, this refers to the payment for parking services. 3. The bureaucratic structure has been running well because it has standard operating procedures SOPs such as technical instructions on the process flow and work procedures for implementing parking retribution policies. 4. The disposition and attitude of the parking attendants have supported the implementation of the parking retribution policy in the supplementary market. It can be seen from the parking attendants who have carried out all stages in implementing the Parking Retribution Policy, such as pursuing the annual targets determined by the region and serving the community well.

Abstract

The Baduy tribe is a tribe that still adheres closely to the rules of their ancestors, they live in the village of Kanekes, Lebak Regency which has been designated as a tourist village since 1990 by the Lebak Government. Every year, tourists visiting is increasing. because of this, negative impacts are also increasingly visible, one of which is the violation of Baduy pikukuh (rules). The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with literature studies which are analyzed using Mac Iver's Concept of Social Change. This research was conducted to determine the impact of the existence of a Baduy tourism village as a provincial buffer area against the rejection of the population and the surrounding environment. The results of this study indicate that there is a clash between the Baduy people and tourists caused by violations such as littering, the use of chemicals such as soap, and the use of electronic goods by tourists which are used to document the Baduy tribe. The existence of this tourist village has a negative path that has emerged so that changing the term to become Saba Baduy Culture is considered a suitable term to represent the Baduy tribe because the meaning of Baduy cultural saba leads to visits to Baduy culture meaning that there are those who "visit" and those who "visit". So there is a need for integration between tourism, culture, and customs. Thus cultural ethnicity is not a tourist object, this is what is trying to be emphasized through the term Baduy Cultural Saba

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology and automation marks the 21st century. These conditions encourage an increase in the quality of human resources, one of which is through the realm of education by emphasizing mastery of 4C skills (communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving, and creative thinking). Cooperative learning is a learning model that emphasizes cooperation and collaboration among students in a study group to solve problems and achieve goals collectively, effectively, and efficiently. The cooperative learning model is relevant to be applied in sociology learning because it emphasizes aspects of collaboration that correlate with sociology learning. Writing this article uses a qualitative approach with the literature study method and data collection techniques by collecting library data from reference books, articles, journals, and other relevant documents—technical data analysis using content analysis techniques. Based on the results of a literature search, it can be seen that the cooperative learning model applied in sociology learning can be an alternative effort to develop 4C skills in students to face the complex 21st century because it emphasizes aspects of collaboration and helps hone communication skills, critical thinking, and creative thinking.

Abstract

In realizing the aspirations as a democratic nation, the provision of high-quality information transparency by the government is essential, especially for the legislative body as the people's representation. To transform information into a fundamental consideration for public policies, effective knowledge management is needed from the community, who act as active users of this information transparency. This study aims to analyze the trends in research concerning knowledge management and open government. Data sources were obtained through the Web of Science for publications from 2019 to 2023, focusing on the fields of political science, management, and social reform. The applied method utilized bibliometric analysis with tools such as VOSviewer and Biblioshiny. The study's results identified a total of 2251 keywords, which were then refined to 259 keywords through data selection. From the VOSviewer analysis, the study yielded 1144 links and 4 clusters, indicating the interconnectedness among keywords. This interconnectedness was further illustrated through Network Visualization, Overlay Visualization, and Density Visualization. Meanwhile, the Biblioshiny analysis, conducted using the R Application, involved visualizations like WordCloud, TreeMap, and Trend Topics related to the keywords.

Abstract

Jalan Raya Pantai Utara (commonly referred to as Pantura) has given rise to a multitude of phenomena that have since embedded themselves as shared memories among the communities residing along its route, as well as those who have journeyed along this roadway. These collective recollections encompass a range of elements, including the historical Jalan Raya Pos, notorious for the harsh policies enacted during Daendels' era, instances of criminal activities, traffic accidents, the presence of prostitution, vibrant graffiti art, the distinctive strains of Pantura's Dangdut music, and various others. However, this reservoir of collective memory is gradually dissipating, largely due to the Pantura highway making way for the Trans Java Toll Road. The distinctive phenomena and symbols that once adorned the landscape of Jalan Pantura have the potential to be pieced together into a comprehensive narrative within the annals of collective history. Employing historical methodologies and conducting oral history interviews served as the foundation for sourcing information in this study. Through meticulous exploration of archival records and engaging in dialogues with carefully selected informants, this research underscores that the intricate web of recollections surrounding the complexities of Pantura's history was shaped incrementally, parallel to the evolution of its economic, social, political, and cultural facets. The findings of this research underscore that the collective memory encapsulating the multifaceted essence of Pantura's past has been an evolving creation intertwined with the progression of economic, social, political, and cultural dimensions. Significantly, we continue to encounter traces of this collective memory in a myriad of artistic expressions, melodious songs, and numerous other manifestations that persist even today.
