Abstract

This study aims to identify the correlation between sense of humor and employes job stress. This research involved 52 employes in The First Class of Agricultural Quarantine, Semarang, Central Java. Job stress scale and sense of humor scale were used to collect the data and the result was analyzed using the product moment correlation that was calculated by SPSS 15.0 for windows. The results showed that there were a significant relationship between sense of humor and job stress with a correlation coefficient r = -0.423 at significance level (p) 0.002 (p < 0.01). The higer individual sense of humor level, the lower employee job stress level and vice versa. Sense of humor give effective contribution of 17.90% to employee job stress. This result will be discussed further in this paper. Keywords: Job Stress, Sense of Humor

Abstract

This Study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and job stress among Air Traffic Controllers in one of airport in Indonesia. The Hypothesis of this study is that there is a negative relationship between self-efficacy and job stress among Air Traffic Controller. The Subjects in this study involved 70 Air Traffic Controllers, age ranged from 21 to 50 years. 50 males and 20 females. Self-efficacy scale with 18 aitems ( alpha = 0.888)

Abstract

This study aims to examine whether there is a negative relationship between self-efficacy and the tendency of efficacy in drug addicts undergoing rehabilitation. The subjects in this study were 59 drug addicts who were undergoing the recovery process (hospitalization and outpatient care) in a drug rehabilitation centers in Yogyakarta. This study uses a scale of self-efficacy compiled by Noviza (2008) and modified by researchers based on aspects of self-efficacy Corsini (1994). While the Relapse Tendency scale uses a scale from Rozi (2016) that modified researchers referring to the relapse stages of Gorski and Miller (1986). Data analysis using product moment correlation technique shows the value of r = -0.352 (p = 0.006), which means there is a significant negative relationship between self-efficacy and the relapse tendency in drug addicts undergoing rehabilitation.

Abstract

This study was aimed to examine the correlation of spritual intteligence and job stress in nurse. This hypothesis posed in this study were there is a negative correlation between spiritual intelligence and job stress. The subject of this study were nurse of emergency and inpatient unit at the hospital in Klaten, totaling 101 people. Data were collected by using spiritual intelligence and job stress scale. The data is was then statistically analyzed using Pearson product moment analysis with SPSS SPSS version 15.0 for windows. The analysis found correlation coefficient of (r-xy) = -0.315, p = 0.001 (p <0.01), the determinant coefficient r2 = 0.099, indicates that the effective contribution of spiritual intelligence to job stress by 9.9%. Base on the analyse can be concluded that there was a significant negative correlation between spiritual intelligence with work stress on nurses. These results illustrate that the higher spiritual intelligence, the lower the stress of work. Conversely the lower the higher spiritual intelligence stress of work or hypothesis is accepted Keywords: Spritual Intteligence, Job stress, Nurse

Abstract

A senior college student is an individual who is in a transition from college to work life. In this transition period, last-year college students need to prepare themselves to face difference role as a worker. Furthermore, the phenomenon of college students who do not always work in accordance to their majors getting more. Therefore, having high career adaptability is important skill for students. One of the important factor that can influence an individual's career choice is an external factor or can be called as a form contextual support and barrier. This research was conducted to find out the role of contextual support and barrier to career adaptability at final grade student in Jabodetabek. The study used a Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) and Contextual Support and Barriers Scale (CSB). The subjects of this study were 270 college students in Jabodetabek, which obtained from quota sampling technique in each region is represented by 30 sample. The role of contextual support and barrier to career adaptability tested by simple regression. The results showed that contextual support participated for 14.5% of career adaptability (p <0.05). Meanwhile, contextual barriers felt by final-year college student are insignificant to career adaptability. Therefore, giving support to final-year college students is an intervention that can be given to improve their career adaptability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between career calling andperceived employability through career strategies as mediator on professional workers in Yogyakarta. Participants in this study are professional workers totaling 48 workers (N=48). Perceived employability scale, career calling scale and career strategy scale were used for data collection. Path analysis with bootstrapping techniques were used to analyze the data. The results of path analysis showed there is a direct influence of career calling on perceived employability without going through career strategy . Abstract

Using qualitative approach, the aim of recent study was to explore the domestic violence on women in Jayapura. 500 subject were interviewed (50% from rural area and 50% from urban. The characteristics of the respondents are under 35 years in age, married and live with their own family. The result in general shows that women were sexually violated as well as non-sexually and the abusers are the ones who have been known by the victim. Moreover, this research also found out how the victims' responses to the assault. They tend to remain silence or running away. They did try to look for help but no significant defenses had been done against the abusers so far by the victims. Women from lower soda/ status which mostly from rural area reported the domestic violence they had been encountered to their family whilst ones from middle social status and mostly live in urban area reported the assault to the police or public authority.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus merupakan salah satu penyakit yang bersifat kronis dan penyandangnya tidak dapat sembuh secara sempurna. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, pasiendiabetes rentan mengalami kecemasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empirik hubungan antara religiusitas dengan kecemasan melalui penerimaan diri sebagai mediator pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Penelitian ini melibatkan 78 orang penyandang diabetes mellitustipe 2 yang berusia 40-70 tahun. Pengumpulan data menggunakan 3 alat ukur yaitu SkalaReligiusitas, Skala Penerimaan Diri dan Skala Kecemasan. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis mediasi Sobel test. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini ada 3, yaitu: (1) ada hubungan negatif antara tingkat religiusitas dengan kecemasan pada penyandang diabetes mellitus tipe 2,(2) ada hubungan positif antara tingkat religiusitas dengan penerimaan diri pada penyandang diabetes mellitus tipe 2, (3) ada hubungan negatif antara tingkat religiusitas melalui penerimaan diri dengan kecemasan pada penyandang diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkanbahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara religiusitas dengan kecemasan pada penyandang diabetes tipe 2, dengan (β) sebesar -0,5912; p=0,0263 (p<0,05). Ada hubunganpositif yang signifikan antara religiusitas dengan penerimaan diri pada penyandang diabetes tipe2, dengan (β) sebesar 0,5134; p=0,0006 (p<0,01). Analisis mediasi Sobel Test menunjukkan ada hubungan negatif antara religiusitas melalui penerimaan diri dengan kecemasan pada penyandang diabetes tipe 2 sebesar -0,6961; p=0,0019 (p<0,01). Hasil tersebut menunjukkanbahwa penerimaan diri menjadi mediator hubungan antara religiusitas dengan kecemasan pada penyandang diabetes tipe 2.Kata kunci: religiusitas, penerimaan diri, kecemasan, diabetes mellitus tipe 2

Abstract

This study aims to determine relationship between self-control and self-esteem with a narcissistic tendency in the first semester students on instagram users. Subjects were students of the Faculty of Psychology second grade with characteristics aged 18-21 years, using social media instagram and upload photos or videos as much as more than 5 times a day. The results were analyzed using regression multiple analysis. Based on result of data analysis were correlation coefficient between self-control variable and self-esteem with narcissistic tendency score R = 0.535, with significance value equal to p = 0.000 (p <0.01), and F value count on anova table equal to 10.040 (F count> F table = 4.74). The effective contribution of self-control and self-esteem to the narcissistic tendency of 28.7%, while the remaining 71.3% is influenced by other variables. There is a negative relationship between self-control and self-esteem with the tendency of narcissistic in the first semester students instagram users. The higher the self-control and self-esteem the lower the narcissistic tendency.
