Abstract

The rapid growth of information technology and telecommunication has speed in many sectors. One of the popular implementation is Short Message Service(SMS) and web. Considering its superiority, we can use SMS tu control access from an application to some devices, like printer. This application was applied by using SMS gateway system. The user as the client will send an SMS command displayed on the computer server connected to the printer. Using this Application will simplify the document printing process as the user can access the printer from remote areas. Literature study was performed to collect the data needed. The design was done by using flowchart and usecase diagram. The testing was done by direct tests to the respondents who already tried the application. Key Word: Printing, Client, Server, SMS Gateway, Web.

Abstract

Beauty clinik Is a well growing type of clinic today. This kind clinic offers beauty treatment service and sells beauty products. Some clinic still use manual process to handdle their administrasion and selling process. This process used paper and filing cabinet to store and process data. This condition can create some troubles related storing and searching for information. The presence of a website intergrated with a database to manage the customers data can upgrade the efficiency and effectiveness of the administration process in the clinic. The website coverage also can also increase the services to offer to customers, by allowing online reservation and consultation. To secure the data, this website divides its users into some group based on their acces privileges. The development of this web underwent some steps, starting from observations and interviews, followed by the design step (database, data flow, hierarchical menu), and ended by testing using white box and black box method. Keywords : website, administration, booking, beauty clinic

Abstract

Report Cards in Yadika 2 high school were prepared by homeroom teacher. Report card grades are the grade accumulated in each subject provided by each subject teacher. The report card preparation was done manually and not well documented in a system. The preparation required a relatively long time and held the risks of document loss or damage. The grading system at SMA Yadika was designed to anticipate these risks. The objective of this system was to facilitate homeroom teachers to prepare the report cards and to compile students grades in a system. The time required to prepare the report cards was reduced and the students scores were well documented. THe system design used survey research methodology, UML, usecase diagram and activity diagram. Students grades that had been inputted were stored in a database accesible to teacher, homeroom teachers, students, and administrator. Keyword: Grades, Students, Report Card

Abstract

Vrast Cancer is one of the most dangerous forms of illness. Almost 12,000 cases of Breast Cancer end in death anually in the UK. In order to help with this case, previous research has been done to discover early the cancer type: benign or malignant. Artificial Neural Networks(ANN), K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN) and Decision Tree(DTree) are three kinds of supervised learning algorithms each of which has different ways to classify data. What makes this research a challenge is to compare the accuracy values in Breast Cancer prediction. The Breast Cancer Wisconsin data contains three kinds of data: mean, standard error, and largest which were taken from 569 patients. This adds thecomplexity of way each algorithm performs. The result shows that ANN and KNN have better performance than DTree. The study also offers recommendation for doctors regarding which kind of data should be considered first in Breast Cancer diagnosis. In comparison to the previous research, this study finding has better accuracy. Keywords: Breast Cancer Wisconsin, Artificial Neural Network, K-Nearest Neighbor, Decision Tree.

Abstract

One of the technological advances in computer technology is the widespread phenomenon of mobile devices. Nowadays, many children often spend their time by playing games in mobile devices thereby reducing time to study. This makes children prefer playing than studyng. In fact, the development of mobile device technology can actually be used by parents to provide guidance in its use because mobile device is considered effective as a medium of education for children. Therefore, this research is develiped which is used to design the English vocabulary recognition application "My Picture Dictionary" by providing interactive information to general users of Android. Methodology in designing this application is by using the methods of analysis and design. The result of this design is the application running  on a mobile device, with Android as the operating system. With this application, children are expected to be able to understand more about English while playing (interactive) in this application. Keywords: mobile devices, English, Android
