Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the implementation of national education policy in the nursing education D-III program in Jakarta Province. The evaluation was based on the implementation of the National Education Systems No. 20 year 2003. The research was conducted at the Akademi keperawatan province in Jakarta. It was using policy analysis method. The sample of this research were 7 person of Akademi Keperawatan, Pusdiknakes and Kopertis 3 that was selected randomly. NVIVO version 8 was used to analyze the data collected. The research findings are: (1) most of the nursing educations were Diploma III vocational educations; (2) the ownership status of nursing academies was in the hand of private; (3) the management of diploma III nursing education owned by public was mostly executed by the Department of Health through the Center of Health National Education and Agency for Health of the Jakarta Province; (4) three duty university was not yet implemented completely as a mandatory reference for the institutions and lecturers. Based on these findings, it could be concluded that --- the implementation of National Education Systems No. 20 year 2003 in performing nursing education diploma III was not carried out well. This was happened because of the involving parties were not able to cooperate effectively and efficiently. Transitional management by the Department of Health, in this case the Center of Health National Education and Agency for Health of the Jakarta Province was not implemented thoroughly. Thereby, the implementation of the National Education Law No. 20 year 2003 could be in jeopardy simply because of its inappropriate execution.Key words: National Education Systems No. 20 year 2003, Nursing education D-III Program

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the effect of conflict management, work motivation and job satisfaction on the performance of principal’s madrasah tsanawiyah. Survey method was applied to this research and data had been analyzed with path analysis by putting all variables in correlation matrix. In this research the madrasah tsanawiyah principals have been chosen as units of analysis and 55 respondents were selected randomly. The results of this research are the performance of madrasah tsanawiyah principal is affected directly by ability of conflict management, work motivation. The job satisfac¬tion has the greatest effects to the madrasah tsanawiyah principal’s. This research concluded that variations of the performance of madrasah tsanawiyah principal could be affected by the variations of conflict management, work motivation and job satisfaction.Keywords: conflict management, work motivation and job satisfaction

Abstract

The objective of this research is to obtain the effects of self-concept motivation and discipline on the performance of the elementary public school-principals in Jagakarsa sub district, South Jakarta. The research was conducted by survey method with path-analysis. The sample size was 63 principals of the school. The results are as follows: (1) that the self-concept directly affects the discipline of the principals; (2) the motivation directly affects their discipline, and (3) the discipline affect directly their performance, therefore, improvement of performance of the principal should be improved by enhancing the rules and working standard.Keywords: “self-concept”, motivation, discipline, school-principal’s performance

Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the effects of work environment, leadership and work motivation on the performance of state elementary school principals in Kramat Jati the subdistrict of East Jakarta. The research was conducted by survey method with path analysis. The sample size was 59 principals of state elementary schools, by using the simple random sampling technicque.The results of the research are as follows: (1) there is a direct effect of the work environment toward work motivation; (2) there is a direct effect of leadership on work motivation; (3) there is a direct effect of the work environment on the performance of the principals; (4) there is a  direct effect of the leadership on performance of the principals; (5) there is a  direct effect of the work motivation on performance principals. Based on the findings of this research that the performance of state elementary school prinscipals in Kramat Jati the subdistrict of East Jakarta was significantly influenced by work environment, leadership and work motivation. It could be concluded that enhanching performance of principals would be determined by increasing the work environment, leadership and work motivation.Keywords: work environment,  leadership,  motivation,  school-principal’s performance

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to study the competence causal flow model with path analysis. The research about variable of self concept and task motivation has direct affect on task effectiveness thought managerial skill. The research was conducted at The Legislative Members Poeple’s Representative Regional Council at Province of Special Administrative Megapolis Jakarta, 2007. With n = 65 selected randomly. The finding of research is as follows: (i) self concept has direct effect on managerial skill; (ii) work motivation has direct effect on managerial skill; (iii) managerial skill has direct affect on task effectiveness; (iv) self concept has indirect effect on task effectiveness thought managerial skill; (v) work motivation has indirect effect on task effectiveness thought managerial skill. Based on of research findings, task effectiveness of Legislative Members could be enhanced by managing self concept, work motivation and managerial skill. Competence of Legislative Members to prove function and authority about legislation, budgeting, and controlling on regional government at Province of Special Administrative of Megapolis Jakarta.Keywords: managerial skill,  self concept has indirect effect, managerial skill; and work motivation

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of national policies on the accomplishment of 9 year compulsory basic education period 2003 – 2006. Research was conducted in implementation of national policy in DKI Jakarta Province. The focus of this analysis is on the accomplishment of 9 year compulsory basic education and the equalization of basic education and the public participation on basic education program.The analysis is about the implementation of the policy rather than policy content. The analysis of the legal aspects starting from the Laws, President Decree, Ministery Decision, and Ministery Order. Descriptive and explanation method were used to analyze secondary and primary data. The results of the research are as follows: (1) the government commits  highly on the accomplishment of 9 year compulsory education; (2) the implentative policies are the realization of the commitment of government on accomplishment of 9 year compulsory education; (3) the government of DKI Jakarta Province has well  implemented the national policies on accomplishment of 9 year compulsory education, but it has  achieved less than 95% for Gross Enrollment  Rate at elementary school level and less than 80% for Net Enrollment  Rate at elementary school and secondary school levels; (4) the public participation on elementary school level is low. Based on those findings, it could be concluded that the government of DKI Jakarta Province has implemented the accomplishment of the 9 year compulsory basic education policy in equalization of basic education program and improvement of public participation on elementary schools. The government of DKI Jakarta Province has accomplished the Gross Enrollment Rate but the improvement of the quality of the basic education is still  inequitable.Keywords: national policies, and government commits

Abstract

The objective of this research is to confirm  the effect  of self-efficacy, job satisfaction and perception about position on principals’ performance of state vocational senior secondary school in Jakarta Province. This research was conducted in Jakarta. The data had been analyzed using path analysis. The populations of this research were 61 principals are there in six city/districts. The questioners of this research had been testing on the 21 principals. Therefore, by proportional random sampling the samples of this research were 40 principals which were selected proportionally and randomly.The research findings are as follows: (1) there was a positive direct effect of self-efficacy on principals’ performance, (2) there was a positive direct effect of job satisfaction on principals’ performance, (3) there was a positive direct effect of perception about position on principals’ performance, (4) there was a positive direct effect of self-efficacy on job satisfaction, and (5) there was a positive direct effect of self-efficacy on perception about position.Keywords: School principal’s performance, self efficacy, job satisfaction, perception about position.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the effects of leadership, job satisfaction, work motivation and organization commitment on the middle manager performance of public hospitals. The research was conducted at the public hospitals in Jakarta and Padang, West Sumatera. The sample size was 75 middle managers at M. Djamil, Fatmawati and Persahabatan hospitals by random sampling technique. The data were analyzed by descriptive, regression and path analysis methods. The results showed the followings: 1) there is a significant direct effect of the leadership on the job satisfaction and work motivation and   2) there was also a significant direct effect of job satisfaction and work motivation on the organization commitment and manager performance. 3) there is a significant  indirect effect of leadership,  the organization  commitment and manager performance on the  job satisfaction and work motivation. To get improvement of the middle managers performance of public hospitals, the research result may be used as the consideration.Keyword: leadership, job satisfaction, work motivation, organization, performance

Abstract

This causal research aims to assess the direct and indirect effect of the leadership style, work environment, and employees’ work motivation on the job satisfaction of the employees’ of the Education Office of the DKI Jakarta Province. The data were collected from a randomly selected sample of 100 employees of the education of the DKI Jakarta Province of Rank (Golongan) III, through a three-month survey from March 2009 with a questionnaire consisting of questions with Liker scale choices. A path technique was employed to analyse the data descriptively and inferentially. The findings show (1) a direct effect of the leadership style on the employees’ work motivation, (2) a direct effect of the environment on the employees’ work motivation, (3) a direct effect of the leadership style on the employees’ job satisfaction, (4) a direct of the work environment on the employees’ job satisfaction, (5) a direct effect of the work environment on the employees’ job satisfaction, (6) an indirect effect of the leadership style on the employees’ job satisfaction, and (7) an indirect effect of the work environment on the employees’ satisfaction. These findings suggest that the leadership style, work environment, and work motivation are determining factors of the employees’ job satisfaction, hence the need to take them into consideration in the development of human resource.Keywords: leadership style, work environment, work motivation on the job satisfaction

Abstract

Work performance can be demonstrated through independent behavioral attitude as a form of ability to execute duties as school headmaster in achieving the organizational goals. Work performance directly or indirectly influenced by many factors: motivation, leadership and organizational culture. The purpose of this study is to discover on how significant, motivation, leadership and organizational culture influence the SMP headmaster work performance in North Lampung. This study had tested the hypothesis and found that organizational culture, leadership and motivation directly influence the work performance of SMP headmaster of North Lampung. The unit analysis was Public and Private SMP headmaster in North Lampung Regency. The research sample was 80 people from a population of 108 SMP headmasters in North Lampung. In analyzing the data, the research used path analysis. The results showed that organizational culture and leadership directly influence the SMP headmaster’s motivation. Meanwhile, their motivation and school organizational culture directly influence the performance. Hence, leadership directly affects the SMP headmaster’s performance. This means that Ho was refused and H1 was accepted, meaning that organizational culture, leadership and motivation have direct effect on the SMP headmasters’ of North Lampung work performance. The research results imply that to improve ones work performance, he/she should be pursued with motivation, leadership and organizational culture improvement. The better motivation, leadership and organizational culture, the better one’s work performance would be.Key Words: organizational culture, Leadership, motivation and performance
