Abstract

AbstractThe research problem of this study is whether the implementation of flipped classroom affects the students' motivation and achievements, whether there is the influence of motivation on students' achievement in Mathematics of the fourth grades students of SD Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 1 Semarang? This research is a quantitative experimental research. The research design is quasi experimental research using non-quivalent control group design. The samples were used as the experimental class and control class with total of 68 students. The T test results show t count > t table (3.608> 1.665). In conclusion flipped classroom influence on students' motivation. The T test results show t count > t table (1.854> 1.665). In conclusion learning flipped classroom effect on student learning outcomes. Significance test analysis results obtained F count> F table (3113.84> 4, 14), it means a significant regression equation. Analysis results obtained coefficient of determination R2 = 0.7534 = 75 %. Abstract

AbstractTeaching and learning can be successful and meaningful if it uses a design that is close to students, namely the cultural context.  This study aims to explore the mathematical content of the sabuk tradisional in the saboweki/traditional clothing of the Bajawa ethnic community, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The research method used descriptive qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Research object was sabuk tradisional Bajawa (keru). The data was collected through observation and documentation, while the source triangulation technique used to obtain the validity of the data. Data analysis techniques started from exposure, reduction and conclusion. The results showed that sabuk tradisional (keru) bajawa contains mathematical concepts including number patterns, multiplication as repeated addition, geometry and measurement and reflection. The findings of this study could improve the quality of learning in elementary schools through the sabuk tradisional (keru) bajawa as a mathematics learning media based culturally responsive.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to develop diagnostic questions in measuring student misconceptions and to describe the profile of the misconceptions following students in the science concepts subject in the Motion Systems sub-chapter. This research is part of the research and development (R&D) step in developing a four-level type of diagnostic test item consisting of a preliminary study stage, a development stage, and a validation stage. At this stage of development, the researcher gave open description questions to students of the Primary Educational Teacher Department, Universitas Muria Kudus in semester 3 of the 2018/2019 academic year classes 3C, 3D, 3E, and 3F to find the form of diagnostic questions, find answer options and options for these questions. The instrument is provided as a diagnostic question instrument in the form of a description. Based on data analysis, it is found that it is valid and reliable so that it can be used for research. The proportions of the resulting answers, namely there are four answer choices and four reason choices with portions right, right with a little wrong, right with many wrong answers or reasons. Based on the results of the analysis of misconceptions, it is known that 23.7% of students answered correctly, 6, 3% of students guessed the answer, 38 % of students had misconceptions and 31.6% of students did not understand the concept.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the stages involved in the learning process and what arts and culture teachers do in their learning process. Researchers used qualitative research methods by taking research subjects at SD Negeri Pengkol, Kaliori District, Rembang Regency. The result was that the learning process was supported by formal education and non-formal education. Non-formal education had taken place in an artist's family environment or an art training environment (studio). In general, the artist's family would pass on the knowledge and skills they had mastered to their children. The artist's family hoped that his abilities would continue. Therefore, it was not surprising that dance skills, especially traditional and other dances, could be mastered well. The stages were carried out by the arts and culture teacher, namely the Dance Teacher, had applied the management method, organizing learning with the following stages: (1) the preparation stage, (2) the delivery stage, (3) the practice stage, and (4) the performance stage. Dance learning at SD Pengkol has a high carrying capacity both from the aspect of students, teachers, infrastructure, and the assessment system. Dance learning has a contribution both in terms of student competence and in supporting school activities as evidenced by various school achievements in the field of dance.

Abstract

AbstractThe Development of Pop-Up Book learning media in Pancasila Material Based on Local Wisdom at second grade of Elementary Schools was conducted to find out its feasibility, practicality and effectiveness. This study used the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. At the Analysis stage, interviews, material analysis and student needs are carried out. Then, at the design stage, namely the selection of product formats and images are conducted. The development stage is carried out by validating the expert validator. Furthermore, the Implementation stage was tested on students and the Evaluation stage was carried out by pretest and posttest to determine the effectiveness of students. Based on these five stages, the development of Pop-Up Book Learning media resulted in the feasibility of learning media with a score of 0.90 which was obtained by four validators, then the practicality of the Pop-Up Book learning media got a value of 90.8%. The effectiveness of using the Gain Test was 0.45. and get the "moderate" criteria. Based on these results, the Pop-Up Book learning media is declared feasible, practical and effective in learning.

Abstract

AbstrackThis study has purposes, namely to test the effectiveness of the MMP learning model on problem-solving abilities and to describe problem solving abilities in terms of self-efficacy. The benefits of this research are (1) Students get meaningful knowledge to develop problem-solving skills through the MMP learning model (2) Teachers can choose the right learning model to develop problem solving abilities (3) Provide an overview to the teachers about problem solving abilities in terms of self-assessing student’s efficacy. The results showed that: (1) the MMP learning model was effective on problem solving abilities, (2) a) high self-efficacy’ students could understand problems, plan problem-solving, and implement problem-solving plans, as well as re-examine correctly and completely. b) moderate self-efficacy’s students could understand problems, plan problem-solving, implement problem-solving’s plan correctly but not yet completely, re-examine but not yet able to use other methods. c) low self-efficacy’s students could understand problems and plan problem-solving correctly but incompletely, less able to carry out problem-solving plans, but unable to re-examine and use other methods. Based on data and research findings regarding problem-solving abilities in terms of student self-efficacy in MMP learning, it can be recommended: (1) Teachers should guide and help developing the low self-efficacy’s students problem-solving abilities to further improve their abilities. (2) Measuring the students’ self-efficacy even involving a psychological institution in every school is important, so that each school has self-efficacy’s data to provide treatment to the students. (3) The low self-efficacy’s students need further treatment by cultivating confidence and giving direction that they are able to learn mathematics, improving problem solving skill and not prioritizing memorization in learning mathematics.
