Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui tingkat ketelitian hasil interpretasi citra Quickbird skala 1:5400 tahun 2008 untuk interpretasi penggunaan lahan; (2) memperoleh informasi penggunaan lahan dilihat dari aspek luas dan jenis penggunaan lahan di daerah penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan citra Quickbird skala 1:5400 perekaman tahun 2008. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik penginderaan jauh khususnya interpretasi citra Quickbird dan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Populasi penelitian ini adalah unit-unit penggunaan lahan di wilayah administrasi Kecamatan Umbulharjo Kota Yogyakarta. Teknik sampling untuk uji ketelitian adalah proporsional dan purposive sampling, jumlah sampel ditentukan berdasar Formula Anderson. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi, observasi dan interpretasi citra dengan pendekatan interpretasinya adalah photomorphic. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah uji ketelitian hasil interpretasi dengan Confusion Matrix Calculation, analisis SIG (Overlay). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) hasil interpretasi citra Quickbird memiliki ketelitian sebesar 90,02%; (2) Berdasarkan klasifikasi penggunaan lahan menurut Sutanto (1981) pada level 3 maka jenis penggunaan lahan dan luas penggunaan lahan hasil interpretasi dan cek lapangan di daerah penelitian terdiri dari penggunaan lahan untuk permukiman sebesar 477, 861 Ha, Perdagangan (31, 092 Ha), Industri (24, 741 Ha), Lahan Transportasi (40, 364 Ha), Lahan Jasa ( 127, 483 Ha), Lahan Rekreasi ( 18, 889 Ha), Lahan Pertania (94, 693 Ha), Lahan untuk Ibadah ( 3, 951 Ha) dan Lahan untuk lain-lain sebesar 21, 364 Ha. Abstract

Meskipun ada beberapa model, hermeneutik dalam rangka studi sastra dihadapkan sejumlah kesulitan. Kesulitan-kesulitan tersebut terdapat pada tahap verstehen. Adapun yang menyebabkan kesulitan itu semata-mata karena dalam beberapa model hermeneutik tersebut tak satu pun dapat melepaskan peran subjek dalam verstehen sehingga masih terkesan adanya pengaruh subjektivitas. Abstract

Teaching Reading includes many aspects. Teachers must know about some points or unsure in order to be able to teach reading well. By knowing some importance points reading will be taught easily by the teacher.  Success reading should pay attention some aspects of reading itself This paper is supposed to give teachers understanding some importance points of teaching reading. It will show the teacher about some importance points in supporting reading ability, so that the teacher easy to make the students understand the reading easily. This result of paper showed that in teaching reading of ESL the teacher should use the appropriate way to teach the lesson of reading become effective in the class in order that the teaching-learning process can reach the goal of the teaching-learning process itself. Abstract

Humor is the tendency of particular cognitive experiences to provoke laughter and provide amusement. People of most ages and cultures respond to humor. The majority of people are able to be amused, to laugh or smile at something funny, and thus they are considered to have a “sense of humor.” One of the kind of humor is riddle. Riddle is a kind of humor that children like to play commonly. They hear other kids ask puzzling questions and then give what appear to be very arbitrary answers that are followed by laughter. So they simply imitate what they hear other kids do. In term of language barrier, problem arises when Indonesia people cannot catch the point of the humor within. For Western, English riddle may be a funny thing because they can catch the point. On the contrary, if riddle is translated literarily into Indonesia, it will lose its point of view because the translation is far from the meaning sense. Keyword: Humor, riddle, translation on riddle

Abstract

ada dua bentuk verba derivasi yang akan dibahas dalam tulisan ini, yakni verba denominal dan verba deadjektival dalam bahasa jawa. Permasalahan penilitian ini yakni bagaimana bentuk derivasi verba denominal dan bagaimana bentuk derivasi verba deadjektival dalam bahasa jawa. Penelitian dengan menggunakan metodologi pemerian. Objek penelitian derivasi dengan proses afiksasi dalam bahasa Jawa. Kata kunci : derivasi, verba denominal, verba deadjektival.

Abstract

Anak berkebutuhan khusus adalah anak yang mempunyai kelainan/penyimpangan dari kondisi rata-rata anak normal umumnya dalam hal fisik, mental maupun karakteristik perilaku sosialnya. Anak berkebutuhan khusus tentu akan menghadapi berbagai masalah yang berhubungan dengan kekhususannya. Semua masalah tersebut perlu diselesaikan dengan memberikan layanan pendidikan, bimbingan serta latihan sehingga masalah yang timbul dapat diselesaikan dengan baik. Untuk itu guru atau orang tua perlu memahami kebutuhan dan potensi anak agar dapat berkembang secara maksimal sesuai kekhususannya.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine the uses of TBLT can improve students’ writing ability. Besides that, this article also gives evidences of the research which is designed to identify the strengths and the weaknesses of the implementation of TBLT in improving students’ writing ability. The research findings of this research imply that TBLT is very effective. The implementation of TBLT improved the students’ writing ability. It gives the chance to the students to explore their ideas and to choose their own words, and encourages students to be active learners. It could raise the students’ participation in writing class and could enhance the students’ writing ability. In TBLT, the teacher has a lot of opportunities to develop various activities. TBLT also made the students able to make a composition using appropriate vocabulary, correct grammar, mechanics, content, and organization. Finally, this article is expected to be useful for other researchers more particularly those who are interested in conducting a similar research. Abstract

The paper aims at describing the use of politeness principles which are found in the utterances in Look Ahead An English Course for Senior High School Students Year XI written by Th. M. Sudarwati and Eudia Grace. The data are collected by note taking and observing the texts and then analyzed by descriptive qualitative method. After analyzing the data, the writers find 16 uses of politeness principles, they are one tact maxim, four generosity maxims, two approbation maxims, one modesty maxim, four agreement maxim, and four sympathy maxims. There can be found nine obedience and denial of maxim, they consist of one obeying tact maxim and denying modesty maxim, four obeying generosity maxim and denying approbation maxim, two obeying approbation maxim and denying modesty maxim, one obeying approbation maxim and denying agreement maxim, and one obeying agreement maxim and denying approbation maxim. Abstract

Tulisan ini menekankan pada topik Peranan Filsafat Ilmu Dalam Perkembangan Psikologi. Pengulasan topik didasarkan pada penganalisaan pemahaman terhadap landasan filosofik yang digunakan dalam perkembangan Psikologi. Awal pembahasan dalam tulisan ini dimulai dengan sejarah psikologi sebagai bagian dari ilmu filsafat. Dalam perkembangannya, psikologi kemudian memisahkan diri dari filsafat. Sekalipun demikian, perkembangan psikologi dari dulu hingga kini tetap tidak terlepas dari pengaruh filsafat. Perkembangan psikologi sejak berinduk pada filsafat hingga perkembangannya kini memunculkan banyak aliran. Pembuka pintu bagi kemunculan banyak aliran dalam dunia Psikologi dimulai dengan jasa Wilhelm Wundt yang terkenal dengan strukturalismenya. Aliran-aliran psikologi modern yang kemudian muncul adalah behaviorisme dengan tokohnya John Watson, Gestalt dengan tokohnya Max Wertheimer, humanisme dengan tokohnya Maslow, kognitif dengan tokohnya George Miller, dan psikoanalitik dengan tokohnya Freud. Aktualitas filsafat ilmu dalam perkembangan psikologi sejak awal hingga kini diletakkan penulis pada landasan filosofik, dalam kaitannya pada perkembangan psikologi secara umum, khususnya masing-masing aliran psikologi, serta beberapa bentuk terapan psikologi. Benang merah yang tampil adalah perkembangan psikologi dari awal hingga kini tetap diwarnai filsafat ilmu, terutama dalam penelusuran bidang-bidang kajian psikologi yang lebih baru. Kata kunci : filsafat ilmu, aliran-aliran psikologi, terapan psikologi.

Abstract

This research studies the development of a learning that begins with an analysis of student needs on the themes of the narrative concocted by media beamed images. On the basis of the themes of the narrative concocted by media beamed images, then prepared learning modules that are integrated in the learning of narrative writing as a result of the development of teaching materials fabricated narrative. Then the learning module is tested on students SDN 2 Barenglor and SDN 3 Karanganom, Klaten to determine the feasibility and acceptability of students and teachers at school. The research data collection techniques using non test. Non engineering tests performed by (1) observation, (2) teacher and student interviews conducted outside of school hours, (3) the questionnaire, (4) documentation. Techniques of data analysis in this study is the observation tabulated, and the results of questionnaires and interviews were identified, classified and presented as argumentative. This study uses the foundation Education Unit Level Curriculum (SBC) 2006 current so as not to give rise to new problems in achieving the target of research. However, because it is more focused on the learning aspect of the development of ideas, keruntutan thought, sharpness of thought, precision of argument, scientific development, paragraph development, development discourse, accuracy of language diversity, as well as spelling and Grammar truth, then learning more emphasis on the affective domain, the cognitive, and psychomotor. The problem in this study is “how is the development of learning materials making up the narrative with media beamed images in Class V Elementary School?” The results indicate that students feel a sense of fun, interesting, easy to understand and very helpful when writing a narrative essay using the media beamed images and choosing environmental topics, technology and life at sea as a theme of the narrative concocted by media beamed images. So also benefited greatly from the teacher media beamed images when providing materials to write a narrative essay. Product obtained ie compose narrative learning modules using media beamed images in class V Elementary School students.
