Abstract

This article discuss about inclusive education concept for children with disabilities. Based on Law No. 4  1997 on persons with disabilities,  This term used to the person who has a mental or physical difficulties and disorder, which may interfere with or be seen as a barrier and a barrier in performing normal activities such as deaf, blind and learning disabilities. Inclusive education is the provision of education system that provides opportunities for all learners who has the disorder and intelligence or special talent to participate in general education (PerMendikNas No. 70 2009). This study attempt to explain inclusive education for the children with disabilities referring to the results previous research. Good understanding in inclusive education is able to educate the children with disabilites effectively.

Abstract

Learning multimedia will determine the quality of learning result, and effective multimedia is determined by the arrangement and presentation of materials which use multimedia design principles. Besides, the learning result is also determined by students’ spatial ability, particularly in technology learning. This study proves the effect of exploratory multimedia towards the comptence of electrical power generation for memory recall on immediate post-test (M.Rc/I.PT) and memory retention on delayed post-test (M.Rt/D.PT), based on the differences of students’ spatial ability. This quasi experiment involves 74 sample of students with  32 students are high spatial ability (H.SA) and 42 students are low spatial ability (L.SA). The research result proves that there are significant differences of learning result between group of (H.SA) and group of (L.SA), wheregroup of (H.SA) is higher than group of (L.SA) with differences of mean score 3.50 for Pre Test; 6.50 for (M.Rc/I.PT); and 6.40 for (M.Rt/D.PT). The decrease of learning result on (D.PT) and (I.PT) also have significant difference.

Abstract

The purpose of research to describe the application of optimization programs empowerment fishing families in the district Wedung Demak on the fields Health, education, social, cultural and economic as well as describing its effectiveness in reducing poverty. Design research is a practical action (practical action research). The location of research is in the District Wedung Posdaya District of Demak. The primary resource is fishing families involved in target Posdaya, informal and non-formal community leaders. Collecting data by interview and observation. The validity of the data with confidence, perseverance, and honesty. Qualitative research data analysis with interactive model. The results showed empowerment fishing families with garbage bank program, early childhood parenting, family counseling aware of nutrition, marketing management training fish jerky products through packaging and product quality, assessed effectively empower families of fishermen. Fishing families have the opportunity to participate in development in the areas of health, education, economic and socio-cultural values are clean and healthy, so that they can improve a clean and healthy lifestyle, become self-sufficient families and families who can increase his income.

Abstract

Fear of public speaking is influenced by several factors, including the factor of emotional maturity and self efficacy factor. This study aims to investigate the relationship between emotional maturity and self efficacy with public speaking anxiety in students. This research was conducted at the University of Nusantara PGRI Kediri and by quantitative (correlational) research. Sample is student counseling about 132 people. The sampling technique used is random sampling. The type of instrument used in this study of Emotional Maturity scale, scale Self Efficacy and Anxiety scale public speaking using a Likert scaling models. The results showed there was no correlation between the emotional maturity in front of public speaking (rxy = -0,094); there is a relationship between Self Efficacy with Fear of public speaking ((rxy = -0,224); and there is a relationship between Emotional Maturity and Self Efficacy with Fear of public speaking (R  = 0,043).

Abstract

The main problem of this research is the low level of maternal care in the family. This is probably caused by the limited frequencies of the maternal participation in the parenting training programs. In response to this phenomenon required an effort to empower the mother by giving them the knowledge and skills necessary to implement good parenting. Women empowerment program implemented through training. In this study will be implemented the parenting training model based on spiritual intelligence, which is alleged to be effective for improving mother’s behavior in family child care. The theoretical foundation of this research is the concept of parenting training model, adult education concept, the child family care, the spiritual intelligence concept, and the concept of early childhood education. The method that used in this study was a quasi-experimental. The design is the design (pretest -posttest) a group (the one group pretest-posttest design). Groups of subjects were mothers of young children in early childhood Almourky Gorontalo district, amounting to 30 people. The techniques of data collection were using tests, interviews, questionnaires, observation, and documentation study. The analysis technique that used to test the hypotheses is the analysis of parametric statistical difference test. This test will look at different groups of mothers before and after the training conducted. The statistical test used the two side t test with correlated samplesThe results of data processing show that the parenting training model based on spiritual intelligence was effective for improving mother’s behavior in family child care. This is evidenced by the results of testing the hypothesis that there is a significant difference both to aspects of knowledge, skills, attitudes and mothers behavior in family child care before and after the training. The findings of this research show that the parenting training model based on spiritual intelligence effectively helped to improve the knowledge, skills and attitudes of mothers, hence of impact on improving maternal childcare in the family.

Abstract

Getting students to learn and be confident has always challenged teachers and educationists. With the introduction of the subject of Instructional Design, teaching is now looked upon as a stepped process through which students must be taken through. To this end many teaching models have been proposed and used by teachers all over the world. At the same time, it has been noticed that students who take “ownership” of their learning are most likely to become independent learners. Also, with the huge rise in demand for tertiary level education all over the world and more so in developing countries like Bangladesh developing successful models to manage the wave of new students has become even more important. In Bangladesh, the increased demand is coming from rural students who have had a limited access to proper primary and secondary education available in the rural areas of Bangladesh. This has added to the challenge of being able to deliver teaching that can turn around students who have poor study and language skills. In this paper we propose a stepped teaching model based on verses from the Qur’an that talk about the brain. We apply this model to training 54 newly recruited teachers who have joined Daffodil International University in the semester of spring, 2015. The idea is the teachers should evaluate the model and if perceived effective use the model in their own teaching. We demonstrate the model in action with these teachers and share the evaluation done by them.

Abstract

This study exploring teachers difficulties students when solving problems and teachers’ effort to help students overcome these difficulties. Classroom practices and strategies teachers used in their attempts to foster student problem solving success were also studied. Data included analyses of interview transcriptions of students and teachers responses. Findings from teachers responses showed students abilities to read and understand the problem was the most frequently cited difficulty; standardized testing and text difficulties were the most cited causes of those difficulties. Data analysis showed that students were not successful at obtaining solutions for the following reasons (1) Lack of comprehension of the problem posed, (2) Lack of strategy knowledge; (3) Inability to translate the problem into a mathematical form; (4) Inability to use the correct mathematics; (5) Inappropriate strategy used, (6) Incorrect formulation of the mathematical form; (7) Computational errors; (9) Imperfect mathematical knowledge; and (10) Misinterpretation of the problem.
