Abstract

One of the deviation on brain growth was cerebral palsy (CP). The problem in cerebral palsy patient was inability to sitting. The aim of this study is to prove that additional of perceptual motor program is better than kinesiotaping in neurodevelopmental treatment in improving ability sitting in cerebral palsy patients. The method of study was pre and post test design. Fourteen cerebral palsy children with quadriplegi type that unable to sit as the sample in this study. The samples divided into two group that was group I (perceptual motor program and neurodevelopmental treatment) and group II (kinesiotaping and neurodevelopmental treatment). The intervention was applied in 60’ per session, twice session per week for 12 weeks. The score of measurement was measured by Level of Sitting Scale (LSS). The result of research showed (1) improvement of the LSS score in the group I as pre test 1.86 ± 0.69 and post test 4.00 ± 0.82, (2) improvement of the LSS score in the group II as pre test 2.00 ± 0.82 and post test 2.86 ± 1.07, (3) there was significance difference of the LSS score between group I and II with p = 0.029 (p < 0,05). It was concluded that the combination of perceptual motor program and neurodevelopmental treatment was better than the combination of kinesiotaping and neurodevelopmental treatment in increase sitting ability in cerebral palsy patients.

Abstract

The performance of soccer branch at SMK SMSR Ubud has not shown maximum result. To increase the performance of soccer branch, it was done by plyometric diagonal cone hop training and front cone hop. This research aim to know that plyometric diagonal cone hop training and front cone hop is to increase leg muscle strength and kick velocity, and plyometric diagonal cone hop training is more effective than front cone hop to increase leg muscle strength and kick velocity. The research method is experimental method The Randomized Pre and Post Test Group Design. The samples of research are 30 soccer players at SMK SMSR Ubud and divided into 2 (two) groups. The first group was handled with Plyometric diagonal cone hop training, and the second group was handled with Plyometric front cone hop training. The frequencies of training are 3 times in a week for 6 weeks. Leg muscle strength measured by leg dynamometer and kick velocity measured by meter indicator and video recording. The result of the intergroup t-paired test of this research for the first group before and after training that leg muscle mean is 97,80 ± 19,91 and 140,1 ± 10,01 kgs and kick velocity is 13,21 ± 2,16 and after training 21,86 ± 4,88 m/s with (p< 0,01). While the result for the second group before and after training that leg muscle mean is 98,00 ± 14,56 and after training 126 ± 12,7 kgs and kick velocity is 11,18 ± 1,59 and after training 16,18 ± 2,48 m/s with (p<0,01). Results of increased leg muscle strength and kick velocity between both of groups before and after training tested by independent t-test with p=0,002 & p<0,01 that is means there are significant differentiation. The conclusion is both of this training can be used to increase leg muscle strength and kick velocity. But, Plyometric diagonal cone hop is more effective than front cone hop to increase leg muscle strength and kick velocity.

Abstract

Shoulder impingement syndrome (SIS) occurs due to the mechanical traumaric from the rotator cuff tendon located in the antero-inferior part of the acromion and clamping due to the shoulder movement position of flexion and internal shoulder rotation. This study aims to prove the enhancement of functional ability by providing combination of caudal traction and mobilization with movement compared with caudal traction and scapular stability exercise. The design of this study is pre test-post test group design. The number of group I sample of 8 patients was given intervention with caudal traction and mobilization with movement combination 3 times a week for 2 weeks, then in group II 8 patients were given combination of caudal traction and scapular stability exercise also performed 3 times a week for 2 week. Functional capacity improvement tests using Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI). Data were analyzed using statistical program for social science (SPSS) version 18.0. The results showed: (1) There was improvement of functional ability in group I, mean (%) pre 70.352 ± 5.132, and post 10.466 ± 0.517. The result of t-test related shows p value =< 0.001 (p <0,05). (2) There is improvement of functional ability in group II, mean (%) pre 69.727 ± 2.212, and post 21.961 ± 4.251. The result of t-test related shows p value = <0.001 (p <0.05). (3) There are significant differences in Group I and Group II. The result of pre-pre comparative test with independent t-test show p value = 0,605. And result of post-post comparative test with independent t-test shows p value = <0.001 (p <0.05). It was concluded that the combination of caudal traction and mobilization with movement with caudal traction and scapular stability exercise could improve functional ability in external impingement syndrome. There is a significant difference in functional enhancement between caudal traction and mobilization with movement combinations with a combination of caudal traction and scapular stability exercise.

Abstract

Exercise is an activity that is open to everyone according to pleasure, ability and opportunity. Exercise is a form of part of the effort to build an objective, competitive, and sportsmanship. Success in the field of sports development can be measured by achievement of achievement level. Achievement of copper is the result of the process of coaching and training that has been implemented systematically. This study aims to determine whether there was a relationship between anaerobic activity maximum run 100 meters to increase lactic acid blood level. This research was done by descriptive method correlation. The sample in this study as many as 24 people who meet the criteria of inclusion and exclusion, selected randomly simple. This research was conducted at Ngurah Rai Stadium Denpasar on December 21, 2015. The data was collected on the morning of 07.30-09, 30 Wita. The correlation test results showed a strong relationship with rxy = 0.793 and p = 0,000 indicated that there was a significant relationship between the speed of 100 meter run and the increase of lactic acid level with p value < 0,05. There was a strong and significant relationship between the maximum anaerobic activity of running 100 meter to the blood lactic acid level in FPOK student of IKIP PGRI Bali.

Abstract

Background: Calf Muscle Pain is discomfort and pain feeling in the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles, a result of constantly receiving the loading due to excessive wear. Purpose: This study was to determine hold relax exercise and auto myofascial release technique was more effective to reduce calf muscle pain than hold relax and auto stretching on SPG at Lippo Mall Kuta Bali. Methods: This research was an experimental study with pre and post test control group design. Total sample of this study were 22 SPGs, which divided into 2 groups. Group 1 (n = 11) was given hold relax exercise and auto stretching while the group 2 (n = 11) was given intervention hold relax exercise and auto myofascial release technique. Do exercise 3 times a week for 4 weeks. Sampling techniques with random sampling. Calf muscle pain was measured with modification sphygmomanometer to provoked pain. Result: Group 1 result obtained p value = 0,001 (p <0.05) and in Group 2 got result obtained p value = 0.001 (p<0.05) for Paired Sample T-test. Different test of mean value with independent sample t-test after treatment found that the decrease of calf muscle pain in group 2 was 232.73 mmHg better than group 1 was 199.09 mmHg with p value = 0.035 (p <0.05). Conclusion: Hold relax exercise and auto myofascial release technique more effective to reduce calf muscle pain than hold relax exercise and auto stretching on SPGs in Lippo Mall Kuta Bali. Suggestion: For the next researcher can do follow up research to see long-term result of hold relax and auto stretching exercise as well hold relax and auto myofascial release technique for SPGs.

Abstract

High-intensity exercise exercises in the exercise process use enormous amounts of muscle glycocal energy to strengthen adipose tissue into energy acids, energy requirements balanced with oxygen demand that will improve pulmonary performance and physiology. Weight-adjusting exercises are adjusted to the adaptation and physiology of muscles, increased muscle development and physiological muscles and muscles increases into more so that the energy process increases both muscle glycogen and increased fat oxidation. In this study the sample will be divided into 2 groups, group I will be given High intensity interval training, group II will be given Circuit weight training, both groups aim to reduce the percentage of body fat and increase the vital capacity of the lung. This study measures the pre and post test results so that it will be measured before treatment and after treatment after the exercise program for 6 weeks. Samples will be measured using Bioelectrical Impedance Analisys to measure the percentage of body fat and Spirometry to measure vital pulmonary capacity.The results of the first group hypothesis test showed the value before the fat percentage of 21.75 and after training to be 19.46, then before the vital capacity of the lungs 2.32 and after training to 4.02. While in group 2 the fat percentage value was 21.55 and the training was determined to be 19.79. For the value of vital capacity of lung 2.46 and after training to 3.64, with the probability value in both groups was 0.000 which means (p <0.05) and the measurement was no significant difference from both exercises. In the test of hypothesis III the comparison of results in group I , II, t-test independent sample with the result of the average group I fat difference 2.29 ± 0.46, KVparu 1.75 ± 0.55, Group II fat% 1.70 ± 0.43, KVparu 1.17 ± 0.45 with fat% probability value (p = 0,725) and KVparu (p = 0,073) which means (p> 0,05) and can. There was no significant difference between the three interventions.The conclusion of this research is high intensity interval training as well as ciecuit weight training in decreasing body fat percentage and increasing vital capacity of lung

Abstract

Introduction : Upper trapezius myofascial pain syndrom (MPS) is characterized by presence of trigger points in upper trapezius muscle. MPS can cause disability and also has negative economic effect. Purpose : The reserach’s goal is to improve that combination of ultrasound and dry needling was better than combination of ultrasound and hold relax to decrease neck disability index. Methods : This research used experimental methods to study with pre-test and post-test control group design. Number of samples of the experimental group was 17 subjects given three times treatment of combination of ultrasound and dry needling, while in the control group were 17 subjects given three time treatment of combination of ultrasound and hold relax. NDI was used as out come measure. Shaphiro-wilk test was used to test the normality and levene’s test was used to test the homogenity. wilcoxon signed ranked test was used for hipothesis I, t-test related was used for hipothesis II and t-test independent wa used for hipothesis III. Results : The research showed that: (1) There was significant decrease of NDI in the experimental group . values of mean for pre test were 42,04 + 7,33 % and post test were 10,18 + 3,78 %. with p value = 0.000 (p <0.05) (2) there was significant decrease of NDI in the control group. values of mean for pre test were 45,29 + 6,03 % and post test were 22,24 + 5,42 %, with p value = 0.000 (p <0.05) (3) There were significant differences between experimental group and control group comparing with the differences of post test values between the group. The mean of post test values in experimental group showed 10,18 + 3,78 % meanwhile 22,24 + 5,42% in control group, with p value = 0.000 (p <0.05). Conclution : It was concluded that combination of ultrasound and dry needling and combination of ultrasound and hold relax can decrease the neck disability index. Combination of ultrasound and dry needling was better than combination of ultrasound and hold relax to decrease neck disability index in subject with upper trapezius myofascial pain syndrom.

Abstract

Physical fitness is ability to perform the activity or activities without feeling tired excessively. Physical fitness associated with a person`s organs to carry out its tasks properly every day without experiencing significant fatigue. In a child’s mental retardation with a les mobile lifestyle that will affect his physical fitness. The purpose of this study to determine which type of gymnastic exercise better to the physical fitness on the students in Sekolah Dasar Luar Biasa Kuncup Bunga Denpasar.This research used experimental method using Randomized study Pre and Post Test Group Design. The subjects in this study were students in Sekolah Dasar Luar Biasa Kuncup Bunga Denpasar. There were 18 students which is divided into two groups: group-1 is senam penguins and group-2 is senam ria anak Indonesia. Data were obtained after a six-week training analyzed by paired t-test and unpaired t-test.The results of physical fitness test before training with Senam Penguins was 23.39 ± 1.69 and the test results after the training was 27.87 ± 3.28. the physical fitness test in group-2 before training with Senam Ria anak Indonesia was 22.69 ± 1.76 and the results after training was 24.64 ± 2.11. Paired t-test in both group before and after training showed significant differences after training in group-1 and group-2 with a value of p > 0.05 with an increase in physical fitness test results of (19.15) in group-1 and (8.64) in group-2. The percentage increase physical fitness test results of group-1 with senam penguins is higher than those in group-2 with senam ria anak Indonesia.So we can conclude that the training of senam penguin in Sekolah Dasar Luar Biasa Kuncup Bunga Denpasar improved the physical fitness test results higher than senam ria anak Indonesia.

Abstract

Introduction: Productive women who’s working in static potition can cause stiffness back muscle. The stiffness of back muscle can decrease lumbal flexibility. When lumbal flexibility was decreased, it can cause low back pain during activities. Yoga and pilates exercise are recommended program for increase lumbal flexibility.. Purpose: This study aims to prove the pilates exercise is more effective to increase lumbal flexibility comparing with yoga on adult woman. Method: Design of this study uses research methods experimental study pre and post test design. Total sampel of this research study are 30 adult women at Banjar Kelod Ungasan, whose age are 30-45 years old and have 0-20 cm flexibility score. The sampel devided into two groups which the group I (n=15) was given pilates exercise ,while group II (n=15) was given yoga twice a week in 6weeks. This research was using sit and reach test as measured flexibility. Result: Based on Paired Sample t-Test statistical analysis the results of this study research shown that the difference in the mean of lumbal flexibility in group I was obtained 21.34±3.13cm with p<0.001 , while the mean of lumbal flexibility in group II was obtained 19.11±2.39cm with p<0.001. The difference lumbal flexibility in group I and group II was obtained 5.36±1.48cm with p<0.001. Conclusion: The conclusion that the pilates exercise was more effective to increase lumbal flexibility comparing with yoga on adult woman.

Abstract

This research based on practice at junior high school, while physical education lesson we found that the physical fitness of the student are weak. Physical fitness is ability of someone to doing physical activity or make some move in periodic time without have a terrible tired and still have rest of power to dounexpected work.The aims of this research is to knowing the fitness of students who has following the physical education and extracurricular sport more better then the usual student. This research is observational analytic with cross sectional method. Location of this research in 02 masbagik junior high school and using 66 sample divided into 2 groups by random sampling, 33 are usual student, and 33 student that have an extracurricular lesson. Based on analyze of SPSS confirmed that the physical fitness of student that have an extracurricular was better than usual student by 1000 M distance of running test. The usual student got 7,2667±2,12584 minute with median 6,4300 (p = 0,001) while the extra student got 5,4297±1,19317 minute median 5,2300. Based on this research we can confirmed that the level of physical fitness of the student who have the extra lesson was better than the usual student who haven’t the extra lesson.
