Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of student learning outcomes that gained model of problem based learning assisted by PIPIZ ( Employees Pizza ) strategy and the learning outcomes of students who get a problem based learning model without assisted by PIPIZ  ( Employee Pizza ) against precison of basic processing concepts in geometrical optics materials , In addition to know the differences in learning outcomes of students who get a problem based learning model assisted by PIPIZ ( Employee Pizza ) strategy and the learning outcomes of students who get a model problem based learning without assisted by PIPIZ  ( Employee Pizza ) against precison of basic processing concepts in geometrical optics materials in Kesatrian 1 Semarang senior high school grade X school year 2014/2015.This study using Nonequivalent Control Group Design method this design is similar to the pretest-posttest control group design comparing experimental class and control class. The population in this study is grade X MIA in Kesatrian 1 Semarang senior high school, amounting to 6 classes the number of students 210 people. This research sample selected by random cluster sampling method, where classes were randomly selected and selected sample is a class X MIA 1 and X MIA 4.The results showed that the student of grade X Kesatrian 1 Semarang senior high school on geometric optics subjects taught by teaching using problem based learning model assisted by PIPIZ  (Employee Pizza) strategy (experimental class) gained an average value of  7.65. While the results of student in grade X  Kesatrian 1 Semarang senior high school on geometric optics subjects taught by learning using a model of problem based learning without assisted by PIPIZ  (Employee Pizza) strategy (control class) gained an average value of 64. The results of the study can be interpreted that the learning outcomes of students who get a model problem based learning assisted by PIPIZ (Employee Pizza) strategy is better than learning outcomes of students who get a model problem based learning without assisted by PIPIZ (Employee Pizza) strategy against precison of basic processing concepts. There are differences in learning outcomes of students of class X  Kesatrian 1 Semarang senior high school on geometric optics material taught by learning using a model of problem based learning assisted by PIPIZ (Employee Pizza) strategy and taught by learning using a model of problem based learning without assisted by PIPIZ (Employee Pizza) strategy. The difference is shown by the price of  with significance level of 5% (3.472> 1.67).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of project-based learning for the student’s activeness and creative thinking skills of students of Class X SMA N 2 Semarang. This research is experimental study with method of Quasi Experimental Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The data in this study is the result of creative thinking skills and student’s activeness. Data were analyzed using two-sample t test analysis. Research shows that 1) there is no difference in the early of ability between class that follows of project based learning process and the class that follows the cooperative learning (tresult = 0,4089 < ttable = 1,6663), 2) there is a difference between the results of creative thinking skills of  the students that follow of project-based learning (tresult = 10,12 >  ttable = 1.6663) and students who follow cooperative learning, 3) there is a difference between the student’s activeness of students that follows project-based learning (tresult = 49,56 > ttabel = 1,6663) and student who follow cooperative learning. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the project-based learning is more effective than cooperative learning in improving learning results in the form of the student’s activeness and creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Based on the results of the literature studies showed that the implementation of teacher-centered learning model is still frequently performed and causes a lower analytical thinking ability and scientific attitude of students, so it is necessary to develop. Inquiry-based learning can be implemented through the application of learning models IDAE so expect the analytical thinking ability and scientific attitude of students can be increased. This study aims to determine the effects of the IDAE learning model to analytical thinking ability and scientific attitude of students in science teaching in the junior high class VII in the materials of heat. The design of this study is Pre Experimental Design by using one group pre-test and post-test. Data collected by test method for analytical thinking ability , questionnaires and observations for scientific attitude. The results showed that the implementation of learning models IDAE have a positive and significant influence but it is included in the low criteria for analytical thinking ability and scientific attitude of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) untuk mengetahui pengaruh model IPAE terhadap keterampilann berpikir analitis siswa pada pembelajaran IPA. (2) untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran IPAE terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian dilaksanakan tanggal 27 Maret s/d 17 April 2015. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VII G sebagai kelas eksperimen pada materi kalor. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain pre-eksperimental designs yaitu dengan rancangan one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel di ambil dengan teknik purposive sampling.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kenaikan secara signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest pada keterampilan berpikir analitis dan pemahaman konsep.Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan uji-gain dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep diperoleh pretest= 24 dan posttest = 91,28. Sehingga pemahaman konsep diperoleh g= 0,88 (tinggi). Hasil nilai rata-rata keterampilan berpikir analitis pada pretest= 15 dan posttest= 61. Sehingga keterampilan berpikir analitis diperoleh nilai g= 0,55 (sedang).Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran IPAE berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir analitis dan pemahaman konsep siswa pada pembelajaran IPA.Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat model pembelajaran IPAE terhadap keterampilan berpikir analitis dan pemahaman konsep siswa pada pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Lack of understanding of the concept of students due to the learning activities that are less attractive so that students are less active in responding to material that has been presented by the teacher. Students are less able to solve the existing problems in the questions so that students feel bored and tired that resulted in the concept of understanding is low. It takes a model of learning and appropriate learning media that can enhance students' understanding of concepts so that students interested in learning and play an active role in learning.This study aims to determine the effect of problem based learning model of audio-visual assisted towards understanding the concept student of class X SMA N 6 Semarang school year 2014/2015. The study design used is pretest-posttest control group design. The population was all students of class X MIA SMA N 6 Semarang. Sampling using cluster random sampling. The study sample was taken two pieces of class, a class X MIA 4 as class experiments using problem-based learning models assistance audio-visual and class X MIA 6 as the control class using a model of problem based learning without audio-visual assisted.Analysis of the early stages of using the value of midterms showed that both classes normally distributed and homogeneous. Based on the results of the  test analysis right on the experimental class and control class that is  = 2.15>  = 1.67 so that  is rejected. While the gain obtained from test analysis < > experimental class by 0.613 and < > 0.596 the control class is the second class to increase understanding of the concept of the category of being. From the above results it can be concluded that the model of problem-based learning-assisted audio visual effect on student’s understanding the concept of class X SMAN 6 Semarang school year 2014/2015.

Abstract

This research is motivated student of low ability in problem solving because students simply fixated on theory so difficult applied to real life. In learning physics concerning materials that occur naturally in the environment is not just a theory but delivered only link between the material being taught and the students in  real-world situations. Therefore need a solution in the form of innovation to improve students problem-solving skills. This study aims to determine the effect of techniques probing-prompting for problem-solving skills in learning physics class X SMA N 1 Juwana academic year 2014/2015 on the subject the Law of Archimedes. This study uses a pre-experimental research design with pretest-posttest form only control group design. Samples were taken by purposive sampling that is in class X Mia 2 as a single experimental class. Analysis of the initial data including normality test, while the final data analysis including normality test, hypothesis testing, gain test, and test indicators of problem-solving skills. After analysis it was found that the experimental class are normally distributed. The results of calculations based on the t test analysis obtained by value   tcount > t table that is 15.722 > 2.68 with a significance level of 5% with db = 36. Because tcount > t table then H0 is rejected and Ha is accept. From the results of t test analysis can be concluded that there are significant administration-prompting probing techniques for problem-solving skills in learning physics class X Semester 2 SMA N 1 Juwana on the subject of the law of Archimedes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning berbantuan video pembelajaran terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada pokok bahasan optika geometris siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Pati. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen quasi eksperimen nonequivalent pre-test post-test control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 2 Pati yang diampu oleh guru yang sama. Penulis mengambil sampel dengan teknik cluster random sampling dengan mengambil 2 kelas secara acak, kelas X MIA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan model discovery learning berbantuan video pembelajaran sedangkan kelas X MIA 3 sebagai kontrol yang hanya menggunakan model discovery learning. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji gain yang ternormalisasi dan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, secara umum uji hipotesis dari penelitian ini diperoleh thitung > ttabel, yaitu 3,195 > 3,1667 dari data tersebut menunjukkan  ditolak dan = diterima. Disimpulkan bahwa model discovery learning berbantuan video pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada pokok bahasan optika geometris kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Pati Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015.

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the effect of discussion method with student activity sheet toward the students' understanding of the concept. The design of the study is quasi experiment in the form of nonequivalent control group. This design is similar to the pretest-posttest control group design. This study was conducted in SMA Kesatrian 1 Semarang on 25 April to 6 May 2015 with a population of an entire class X MIA SMA Kesatrian 1 Semarang. The sample consisted of two classes taken with random cluster sampling technique that is class X MIA 5 as experimental class and the class X MIA 6 as the control class. The data collecting technique were documentation and written test method (pretest and posttest). According to the data analysis of pretest, it was obtained the means of the pretest score of experimental class that was 22,87 and the control class was 17,33. And after the learning given, posttest was held in both classes, the result for the experimental class was 84.53 and the control class is 74.53. Testing the hypothesis with a significance level of 0.05 was obtained  = 4,569 and  = 1,671. These results indicate that  >  (4.569 > 1.671). It can be concluded that  is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the discussion method with student activity sheet provides positive impacts toward the students’ concept understanding.

Abstract

This study was aimed to find out the effectiveness of cooperative script learning model with handout towards the students’ critical thinking ability. The design of the study was quasi experiment in the form of nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. This study was conducted in SMA N 1 Gubug on 1st -22th August 2015 with the population of an entire class of X classes in SMA N 1 Gubug. The sample of the study consisted of two classes taken with cluster random sampling technique that was class X-F as experimental class and the class X-G as the control class. The data collecting technique were test and documentation.Based on the data analysis, it was obtained the means of the pretest score of experimental class was 44,77 and the control class was 33,33. Meanwhile, the students’ average score of post-test in experimental class was 80,40 and the control class was 73,70. Based on the pre-test and post-test result from those classes, it showed that there was a significant effect between students’ independence and students’ outcome in experimental class compared with control class. The hypothesis testing used significant level 5% was obtained tcount = 2,83 dan ttable = 1,67. This result indicated that cooperative script learning model with handout is more effective to improve students’ critical thinking ability
