Abstract

This study purpose to find out the student learning outcomes of cognitive aspects by applying guided inquiry based LKS with the help of PhET Interactive Simulations better than the conventional LKS used by schools on the subject of static electricity and dynamic electricity. This research is a quantitative research with Quasy Experimental design and the design of non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study is the students of class IX SMPN 22 Kota Jambi consisting of 5 classes. The sample used in this research is class IX C and as experimental class and class IX D as control class. The experimental class is taught by using guided inquiry LKS and control classes taught with the school's conventional LKS. Research instruments are objective questions that have been tested. This study collected data using multiple choice questions that have been tested in IXA SMPN 16 Muaro Jambi class. The results showed that the average value of the experimental class is 32.62 and the control class is 31.18. obtained the results of research that the value of t is greater than the value ttable with a significance of 0.05. Based on research that has been done tcount equal to 1.71. while the ttable is 1.67. because tcount obtained 1.71 ≥ 1.67 then H0 rejected. This shows that there are differences in cognitive learning outcomes of students using instructional based LSM inquiry with the help of PhET Interactive Simulations and LKS conventional schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengetahui profil kemampuan bernalar ilmiah siswa SMA Negeri Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, adapun desain penelitiannya menggunakan survei type cross sectional design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA di Kota Jambi dengan jumlah keseluruhan adalah 12.107 siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah convenience sampling. Adapun Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah 778 siswa yang berasal dari 9 sekolah Teknik Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan soal tes kemampuan penalaran dari lawson’s classroom test of scientific reasoning (CTSR) tahun 2000. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 97% sampel berprofil konkrit. Dengan kemampuan Conservation of matter and volume sebagai kemampuan yang paling banyak dimiliki oleh siswa dengan persentase sebesar 32% dan kemampuan yang paling rendah yaitu kemampuan Proportional reasoning dengan persentase sebesar 8%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa belum bisa menggunakan nalar mereka untuk hal-hal yang abstrak. Secara umum tidak ada kemampuan bernalar yang memiliki persentase di atas 50% ini menandakan bahwa kemampuan bernalar siswa SMA masih sangat rendah dan mendasar. Abstract

There are two problems that underlie the classroom action research. First, the learning process is still dominated by lectures method and less empowering environment to develop the lesson materials. As a result, student competence is still far from expectations. Based on preliminary observations, in terms of daily test results VIII C grade on the subject matter “reflection and refraction of light”, indicating learning outcomes are still low. Classical completeness only reached 33.33% is still far from the minimum limit is 75%, and the average value of daily tests only 66.85, it is still far minimum completeness criteria is 75.00. While looking at the aspect of the achievement of scientific character, especially creativity, the majority of students are still far from the creative criteria. The qualitative value of creativity is considered good only 37.04%and 18.52% categorized quite creative. The remaining 44.44% of students categorized as less creative. Second, the quantity of waste every day are increasing the rate of production and consumption patterns. Such concerns foster ideas to make KIT Hand Madebased waste, such as milk cans, plastic bottles, syringes printer ink, plastic straws, plastic pipes, and others. Classroom action research carried out in three cycles. Cycle III, students who demonstrate creativity with a good reach 88.89%. Classical learning completeness reached 81.48% with an average value of 79.07. The science competence have increased significantly.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to: (1) produce interactive media with animated kinematics based subject of Macromedia Flash Pro CS6 for SMA and (2) to know the quality and feasibility of kinematics learning media product. The subject of kinematics in the subject of physics is abstract so that teachers and students need interactive media for teaching and learning activities and practice questions independently. The research method used refers to the ADDIE model with the research instrument using the assessment sheet by the material experts, media experts, and 10th grade students of SMAN 92 Jakarta and SMAN 115 Jakarta. The material of this research product is adjusted to the standard of competence by displaying GLBB animation, free fall motion, upward vertical motion along with its formulas, and practice questions. The results of the assessment by material experts, media experts, and students of SMAN 92 Jakarta and SMAN 115 Jakarta as much 98.61%, 93.75%, 92.17%, and 92.75%. Based on the tests that have been done can be concluded that the media developed eligible to be used as an innovative learning resources.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is analyzing the impact of Modeling Instruction towards students’ ability in solving phisics problems on Work and Energy of X MIPA SMA Muhammadiyah Mayong Jepara. This research used pre-experimental design that held on January 29th 2018 untill January 5th 2018 academic year 2018/2019. The population of this research was the entire of X MIPA of SMA Muhammadiyah Mayong Jepara, and the sample selected randomly. So, as the result, X MIPA 1 becomes experiment class. The researcher used data documentation techniques, test and interview as data collecting techniques. Based on research result, there is impact of Modelling Instrucion towards students’ ability in solving phisics problems on Work and Energy material of X MIPA SMA Muhammadiyah Mayong Jepara through t test calculation, gained tcount = 43,026 > ttable = 2,028. While from the gain test analysis <g> gained 0,46 for experimental class in the medium category. Based on the data result, can be concluded that there is impact of Modelling Instrucion towards students’ ability in solving phisics problems on Work and Energy material of X MIPA SMA Muhammadiyah Mayong Jepara.

Abstract

Media mempunyai peranan penting dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran. Pemilihan media yang tepat akan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Selain media, pendekatan pembelajaran yang mengembangkan level of inkiri sangat membantu siswa dalam menemukan dan membuktikan konsep berkaitan dengan materi fisika. Guru harus kreatif dalam memilih media pembelajaran dan pendekatan pembeljaran serta harus pintar menangkap peluang dengan memanfaatkan bahan-bahan yang melimpah yang ada disekitar kita sebagai media pembelajaran. Telah dibuat media pembelajaran berbahan barang bekas yang diberinama “Magic Circle” yang berfungsi menolong dan menjembatani siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam berfikir abstrak untuk membantu belajar materi induksi magnetik pada materi fisika kelas XII ilmu alam. Untuk melengkapi pemikiran abstrak siswa digunakan alat dengan nama “Magnetic Swings” yang dapat membuat siswa untuk berinkuiri dalam pembelajran induksi magnetik.  Salah satu alasan mengapa alat ini perlu dibuat karena pada tahun-tahun sebelumnya daya serap untuk materi induksi dan gaya magnetik terhitung sangat rendah baik daya serap untuk tingkat sekolah, kota provinsi maupun nasional. Tercatat untuk daya serap gaya magnetik yaitu 65,97% pada tingkat sekolah, 68,41% pada tigkat kota, 59,10% tingkat provinsi dan 64,95% untuk tingkat nasional pada Ujian Nasional tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Dengan menggunakan alat ini pemahaman siswa berkitan dengan penentuan arah untuk besaran-besaran fisika berkaitan induksi dan gaya magnetik menjadi lebih baik. Hal ini juga dapat dilihat dari perbandingan hasil belajar pada Penilaian harian materi induksi magnetik pada tahun pelajaran   2017/2018 yang mengalami perbedan yang signifikan, kelas yang menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri ( 3 kelas) dengan rata-rata masing-masing 83,6 ; 85,14 dan 87,16 sedangkan untuk 3 kelas yang tidak menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri didapatkaan nilai rata-rata masing-masing 76,57 ; 76,64 dan 69,58.  Diharapkan pada Ujian Nasional tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 daya serap siswa akan mengalami kenaikan yang signifikan.

Abstract

The aims of this study is to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills based on the application of CLIS method (Children Learning In Science) LKS assisted on elasticity and Hooke Law in SMA Negeri 1 Jakenan Pati. This research was conducted at SMA N 1 Jakenan Pati dated October 13 until October 24, 2017. This research used Quasi Experimental design in the form of pretest-posttest control group design. Population in this research is all class XI IPA in SMA Negeri 1 Jakenan Pati, while sample of research used consist of two classes taken by cluster random sampling technique so that obtained class XI IPA 8 which amounted to 40 students as experiment class using  CLIS method (Children Learning In Science) assisted by LKS, and XI IPA 7, amounting to 40 students as control class using Direct Instruction learning model. Based on the result of the research obtained the mean of pretest experimental class is 55,2 and control class 49,45, while value of experimental class postest 79,1 and control class 68,7. The hypothesis testing shows that with t test s2 polled variance magnitude thitung = 19.5 and ttabel = 1.66. This indicates thitung > ttabel, so Ho is rejected which means there is increasing in the effectiveness of CLIS learning method (Children Learning In Science) assisted by LKS on students' critical thinking ability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penguasaan konsep siswa yang belajar menggunakan media komik buatan mahasiswa UNJA lebih tinggi dari siswa yang belajar tidak menggunakan komik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi experimental design, adapun desain penelitiannya menggunakan Nonequivalent control Group desaign. Populasi penelitian meliputi kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Kota Jambi dengan jumlah 230 siswa. Sampel uji coba dipilih berdasarkan uji homogen dengan uji Levene, dimana kelas XI IPA 2  sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol, pada kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan komik buatan mahasiswa UNJA sebagai media pembelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes soal Pretest dan posttst. Untuk pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji t. Pada hasil uji t menyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol dengan hasl uji t diperoleh t hitung -2.973  < t tabel -1.987.  Ini berarti Ho ditolak yang artinya Ha diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan penguasaan konsep siswa yang menggunakan media komik lebih tinggi dari pada kelas yang tidak menggunakan komik pada konsep fluida statis.Kata Kunci : Penguasaan Konsep, Komik, Fluida Statis.

Abstract

This study was aimed to know: (1) Whether there is or no increase of cooperative skill and whether there isi or no increas of students’ learning outcomes who participated the learning activity by using cooperative learning type rotating trio exchange at material of momentum and impulse; (2) Whether there is or no significant differences between the students’ cooperative skill and whether there is or no significant difference of students’ learning outcomes before and after implementing the rotating trio exchange of cooperative learning; (3) whether there is or no significant correlation between cooperative skill and students’ learning outcomes after implementation of cooperative learning type rotating trio exchange learning model at material of momentum and impulse. The type of research is pre-experimental design. Result finding showed that: (1) There was increase of cooperative skill and learning outcomes of students who participated the learning activity by using cooperative learning type rotating trio exchange; (2)There was significant difference of cooperative skill and learning outcomes of students before and after implementing the rotating trio exchange of cooperative learning; (3) there was no significant correlation between cooperative skill  and cognitive learning outcomes, there was no significant correlation between cooperative skill  and  affective learning outcomes and there was no significant correlation between cooperative skill and psychomotor  learning outcomes.
