Abstract

Collaborative learning model is one model of learning that is expected to streamline the learning process so as to make students more active and creative. This study aims at knowing the planning, the application, and the challenge of using collaborative learning in Social Scienes at MTs Roudlotusysyubban Pati. The results showed that teachers do not have the training about collaborative learning and the teachers faced many barriers in the application of collaborative learning. These barriers include the lack of teachers in English-language skills, limited learning time, the inability of students for peer learning, and the limited medium of instructions..

Abstract

To get quality human resource, we need a model of learning and teaching strategy that can improve the educational system . This model should not only require students to memorize facts, but also encourage students to mind and construct their own knowledge. One model of learning that can be used to improve learning is the learning outcomes numbered heads together (NHT). The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in learning outcomes by using a model of learning and NHT lectures on subjects in high school sociology class X Semarang State 14. The results showed that using the model of lecture learning students feel bored and sleepy with the average results of the cognitive aspects of learning, reaching 70.64. On learning NHT model, students are able to unite a lot of thought and intelligent students who can interact well with students who are less proficient with the average yield reached 76.19 evaluation tests. From these results we can conclude that learning by using learning models NHT is better than using a model of lecture-based learning.

Abstract

Kalang society is no longer identical to the shape of the house and rituals that symbolizes nobility. Kalang should complement its traditional institutions with modern ones to cope with the increasingly complex situation of the modern world. Kalang community in Ambalkebrek have modern ideas by forming K3 (prop family harmony) which have an impact on new relationships in the community. K3 and society in the social aspect is open to the members of the K3 is the head of the village, and the presence of family Kalang (K3) is honored with a title nganten. K3 and society in the economic aspects of cooperation, in running a business entrepreneur K3 employ many local people. The method used in this study is qualitative research methods. The focus of research is the function of K3 in social economic relations in Ambalkebrek Ambal Kebumen.

Abstract

In the district there are some people, especially Demak traders who believe wong clever. In running its trading business traders often ask for the blessing of the wong clever, because confidence in the wong clever deemed incompatible with Islamic teachings. The reason the merchant asking for help on wong berdagangnya clever in luck, because in practice the ritual wong clever use of the rite that is considered not to deviate from Islamic teachings. Traders confidence to wong clever as it is influenced by cultural heritage. Wong clever contained in Demak is considered the spiritual leader of Islam that can help one to solve problems in ways that they do not deviate from the religion of Islam. The merchants, especially merchants in the Market Bintoro Demak that most traders are Javanese who still believe in things unseen, which is mixed with local customs. Lots of views on the wong clever, one of which is a clever wong is thought to help people in every way. The other view says that wong clever use of objects occultism avoided Demak City community, because most people have of Islam is very strong. There is a myth that success is within reach for Muslim traders, often asking for help and consult on a more clever wong can be helpful because the rituals of the rite of Islam as compared to using things that are unseen

Abstract

This article examines the factors that led to the mobility of the workforce out of the village youth in the village of Adinuso and its consequences. The results of this study indicate that the mobility of the workforce at a young age Adinuso village is driven by the push factors which consists of the desire for independence, poverty, income rndahnya work in cottage industry of embroidery, the desire to succeed as their peers, looking for experience, and limitations facilities and infrastructure in the village of Adinuso. The mobility is driven by the pull factor which consists of the number of jobs, wages are attractive, and modernization. The impact of young labor force mobility of socio-economic life of the village of Adinuso the increased prosperity, less productive workers in the cottage industry of embroidery fabric, less manpower in the agricultural sector, changes in lifestyle, and reduce social deviation. The dominant driving factors (push factor) of mobility of young labor force is poverty, while the dominant pull factors (pull factors) that affects predominantly young workforce mobility in the Village Adionuso are many factors in urban employment. The mobility of the labor force this young age have negative and positive impact on socio-economic and cultural life of the village community.

Abstract

Religious education can be a very effective means to educate character education. The purpose of this research is to explain the application and the results of character education in Pondok Pesantren Al Wahda. This research uses qualitative research method in which which the data are collected through interview, observation, and documentation. The research shows that that character education in pesantren is applied through modelling, rule, and direct instruction. All of that models are applied in three areas: learning and teaching process, tha habits of student in pondok pesantren, and students activity outside pesantren. The value taught is based on kitab very specific to pesantren. The result of character education can be observed through students behavior and habit which naturally develop from long process of internalization.

Abstract

Pahlawan Street has unique existence in the heart of Semarang. This study tried to find the social meaning of Pahlawan Street by looking at three things: 1) the conditions of Pahlawan Street that trigger social activities in the street, 2) the forms of social activity that occurs in the street, and 3) the meaning that emerged based on the activity that occurs on Pahlawan Street as a social arena. The study uses ethnophotography, a method in visual anthropology that use visual symbols or signs in the photographs taken by the author as a source of data. The author trace the visual symbols or signs in the photograph to look for the social meanings. Ethnophotography gives new understanding to teach sensitivity to the photographer to grasp the cultural aspects of social reality. The results show that the physical condition of Pahlawan street, its sidewalks, decorative lights, and various important offices enables the emergence of various social activities in the street. The activities, performed by a variety of elements and groups of people who visit the street, raises various meanings that symbolize Pahlawan Street as an important social arena in Semarang.
