Abstract

Financial management behavior is organized, regulated, managed, and saved funds to achieve financial well-being. The study aims to effects of financial literacy, income, hedonistic lifestyle, self-control, and risk tolerance on financial management behavior. The object used in this research is the millennial generation based in Surabaya with a monthly income. This study focuses on the millennial generation since they are stigmatized for their excessive consumption and inability to conserve money. This study employs quantitative research and the Structural Equation Model as a method of analysis (SEM). A total of 200 people responded to the survey. According to this study, financial management behavior is influenced by hedonistic lifestyle and self-control, but not by financial literacy, income, or risk tolerance. This finding is because most respondents are still in college, and the study's limitations include the inability to include other variables such as intention and social standing. This study could be helpful to reference for various parties, especially the millennial generation, to be better at self-controlling their consumption and increase their financial literacy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether liquidity can be a moderating variable between the effect of profitability, leverage, and managerial ownership on dividend policy. The sample of this study consisted of 42 companies confirmed by the Indonesia Stock Exchange in property, real estate and building construction. The sampling technique used a census sample. The analysis technique uses Multiple Regression Analysis (MRA). The findings obtained are that there is no influence between profitability on dividend policy than dividend policy is influenced by leverage and managerial ownership. The relationship between profitability and managerial ownership on dividend policy fails to be moderated by liquidity. While liquidity Intervening variables strengthen the effect of profitability on dividend policy can be added to future research to account for variations in research results.

Abstract

This study examines the financial satisfaction among the employees in the District of Sidoarjo and analyses the relationship between income, debt, gender differences, financial literacy, and financial attitude. The object of this research is the employees in the District of Sidoarjo and data collection techniques using purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The total number of respondents obtained is 298 by distributing questionnaires online. This research is conclusive causality and uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis technique in AMOS software version 24. This study showed that debt and financial attitude significantly affect financial satisfaction. In contrast, the variable income, gender differences, and financial literacy does not affect financial satisfaction. This study can be a valuable reference for various parties, especially employees, where you should always act and behave better in economic terms because the attitude towards finance plays a vital role in determining the success or failure of the financial behaviour of individuals. The high perspective of the individual financial can evaluate the heightened awareness in responsible for the expenditure of finances, so it will cause a positive impact on the behaviour of financial management to achieve the satisfaction of personal finance.

Abstract

This study investigates financial management behaviour among adolescents aged 9 to 24 years or referred to as Generation Z. It also analyzes the relationship between financial knowledge, financial attitude, financial self-efficacy, income, locus of control, and lifestyle. The object of this research is Generation Z in Surabaya and used the technique of purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The number of respondents obtained was 320 respondents by distributing questionnaires online. This research is conclusive causality and uses the AMOS software's structural equation modelling (SEM) analysis technique. The results show that financial knowledge, financial attitude, and financial self-efficacy do not affect financial management behaviour. It proves that although respondents' financial knowledge, financial attitude, and financial self-efficacy in a suitable category cannot guarantee their financial management behaviour will be good and vice versa. While income, locus of control, and lifestyle significantly impact financial management behaviour. Because the sample dominant are not financially independent, they can not manage financial independence to the greatest extent and do not have much experience related to finance. It was also caused by female respondents who often engage in impulsive buying. This study could be helpful to references for various parties, especially Generation Z, to be responsible for making financial decisions and wise in managing their finances.

Abstract

Thrifty can be used as an indication that someone has good financial management behavior. This research aims to investigate the influence of financial literacy, financial self-efficacy, locus of control, parental income, love of money on financial management behavior and lifestyle as mediating variables of Z Generation Thriftier in East Java. The type of research used is quantitative conclusive causality, and data analysis technique used Structural Equation Model (SEM) with Amos 24 software. The number of samples obtained was 264 respondents by using purposive and snowball sampling techniques and taken from an online questionnaire. The findings show that there is no influence of parental income on financial management behavior, but there is an influence of financial literacy, financial self-efficacy, locus of control, love of money and lifestyle on financial management behavior. In addition, financial literacy influences lifestyle, and lifestyle mediate between financial literacy and financial management behavior. Therefore, the results of this research can be contributed as a reference for all parties, especially Z Generation Thriftier in East Java to improve their skills, abilities and responsibilities for making the right financial decisions and managing their finances better.

Abstract

This study investigates the financial satisfaction of fintech lending users. It also considers income, debt, financial strain, financial attitude, and financial literacy on financial management behaviour as a mediator. This study is a sort of conclusive causal research that uses quantitative research data. The techniques used in this study are purposive sampling. Data is collected through online questionnaires. The samples size for this study was 230 respondents that fit the criteria. The Structural Equation Model technique with AMOS tools was used to analyse the data in this study. This study shows that financial satisfaction is unaffected by income because the increase in revenue will increase lifestyle and financial responsibilities. Financial satisfaction is unaffected by debt because most respondents feel that they can fulfil their needs and lifestyle by debt. Financial satisfaction is unaffected by financial strain because most respondents are between 15-24, so they did not feel how financial stress is. Financial satisfaction is unaffected by financial attitude because most respondents cannot manage their finances. Financial literacy and financial management behaviour affect financial satisfaction. Financial management behaviour is unaffected by financial attitude because most respondents put their needs and lifestyle first. Financial literacy affects financial management behaviour. Financial management behaviour does not mediate financial attitude towards financial satisfaction. Financial management behaviour mediates financial literacy towards financial satisfaction. This research contributes to the thoughts of fintech lending users to understand financial concepts and avoid financial dissatisfaction.

Abstract

One of the fundamental things in human life as an economic creature is to fulfil their needs. Humans are also equipped with the knowledge and high self-control about their lifestyle, or else they can trigger a consumptive attitude. The research objective is to analyze the influence of financial literacy, electronic money, demographics, lifestyle, and self-control on consumptive behaviour. This research investigates the millennials in Surabaya and data collection techniques using purposive and snowballs sampling. Around 284 millennial generations in Surabaya have chosen to be the respondents in this research. They fill out an online questionnaire using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis technique with AMOS software version 24. The study proves that financial literacy, electronic money, demographics, lifestyle, and self-control significantly affect consumption. This research expects to awaken various parties, especially about the importance of knowledge in financial management, to form high self-control to decide a rational consumption activity for the millennial generation.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze differences performance of Main Board Index (MBX) and Development Board Index (DBX) using a portfolio performance measurement model Risk Adjusted Performance in 2010-2014. Issuers listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange was divided into two boards, namely MBX and DBX, where the placement of issuers and emiten who approved the recording based on the placement requirements on each board recording. The test results using Mann-Whitney test showed the difference in stock index performance between MBX andDBX using 3 methods of performance measurement. Main board has a higher risk on average than Development Board, and resulting a higher return. This is contrary to the theory of market anomalies size effect which says that small sized companies deliver greater return compared with return provided by the big cap. Such as the investments principle of high risk high return, if investors want a high return then will be faced with a high risk anyway. Thus, to get the maximum return, it is better to invest in the shares of Main Board.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of macroeconomic indicators and global factors to IHSG period 2005-2014. Macroeconomic indicators used in this study are inflation rate, SBI rate and Exchange rate of rupiah to dollar. The global factors used include world oil price, world gold price and The Fed rate. The analytical method used in this study is multiple regression analysis performed with SPSS 18. Result from this study indicate that exchange rate of rupiah to dollar had negative effect on IHSG. World oil price had positive effect on IHSG. While the variables of inflation rate, SBI rate, world gold price and The Fed rate had no significant effect on IHSG. The value of adjusted R square is 50.2%. This means that 50.2% of IHSG movements can be predicted by the movement of the six independent variables.

Abstract

Abstract, The research aims to determine the effect of financial literacy, financial behavior, human resources, operations, marketing, and government policies on the performance of MSMEs in the city of Surabaya. Measurement of variables using a Likert scale with forty-three statements and for financial literacy variables also uses the Guttman scale with five questions. The sample used in this study were 108 MSME respondents, registered as assisted by the Surabaya Office of Cooperatives and Micro Business in 2018. Data is collected using questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses multiple regression analysis with the SPSS application. The results of the analysis showed that the financial behavior of business owners and marketing had an effect on the performance of MSMEs in Surabaya, meaning that the better financial behavior of business owners and the better marketing can improve business performance.
