Abstract

Abstract

Flowerhorn fish (Cichlasoma x Paraneetroplus x Amphilophus) are dangerous to the local ecosystem of Indonesian waters. It is feared that the existence of flowerhorn fish in local waters will become the dominant predator. Based on this study, it is reported that catches of flowerhorn fish in the Sempor Reservoir, Kebumen Regency, Central Java have the potential to become invasive predatory fish. The research method uses the desk study method and field observations by informants. The flowerhorn fish caught in the Sempor Reservoir is a record for efforts to protect the natural ecosystem of the reservoir from invasion by foreign predatory fish. The existence of flowerhorn fish in the Sempor Reservoir must be monitored, mapped and regulated with strict rules so that the balance of the Sempor Reservoir ecosystem is maintained from foreign predatory fish.

Abstract

Milkfish cultivators in Indonesia often experience problems related to marketing strategies and supporting factors. So a brief study is needed on the marketing strategy and supporting factors for milkfish cultivation in order to provide a brief overview of milkfish cultivators in Indonesia. data collection was fully carried out by literature study. Secondary data was collected by reviewing references in the form of journals, books and online articles. Data search was carried out using the Google search engine with the keywords marketing strategy for milkfish cultivation (Chanos chanos). The data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive methods. From the results of the study, it was found that special attention was needed regarding the supporting factors for milkfish cultivation, namely the availability of seeds, environmental cleanliness, and the existence of smooth marketing channels. In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to inhibiting factors such as low productivity, low quality and quantity of seeds, not yet implemented CPIB and CBIB. Marketing strategies must keep up with the times by utilizing digital marketing such as social media platforms and market places.

Abstract

Foreign fish in waters that are not their habitat can have a major impact on the balance of the ecosystem. One of the foreign fish living in Indonesian waters is the red devil foreign fish. The presence of red devil foreign fish (Amphilophus citrinellus) in Indonesian waters reduces biodiversity and is harmful to aquatic ecosystems. This study aimed to assess the negative impact of Amphilophus citrinellus in the Sanguling Reservoir, West Bandung Regency. This study used the desk study method and direct observations in the field. Data were collected using literature review and interview methods. The finding of red devil foreign fish species with the Latin name Amphilophus citrinellus in the Sanguling Reservoir provides information related to the negative impact of invasive foreign fish. This information can be used as a basis for developing regulations that are focused and directed towards invasive species, as well as to increase the active role of several sectors, such as research, and developing mitigation of the impacts caused by invasive species so that the Sanguling Reservoir ecosystem is maintained.

Abstract

Abstract

The entry of alien predatory fish in Indonesian waters has a negative impact on local ecosystems in Indonesia, foreign predatory fish can spread disease, become main predators and can cause imbalance in the food chain. From this study, we report the presence of alien predatory fish of the type Cichlasoma urophthalmus (Günther 1862) or Mayan Cichlid from tropical waters of North America caught in Kedung Ombo Reservoir, Grobokan Regency, Central Java. This finding is the first for the type of Cichlasoma urophthalmus recorded in the Kedung Ombo Reservoir. A description of the morphology of the caught species Cichlasoma urophthalmus is included in the discussion. Keywords: Cichlasoma urophthalmus, Mayan Cichlid, Alien Predatory Fish, Kedung Ombo Reservoir
