Abstract

Photoaging is caused by exposure to sunlight and ultraviolet radiation (UV-B) through the reactive oxygen species (ROS) molecules formation, resulting in decreased levels of collagen. It is characterized by wrinkles, sagging and rough surfaces. Black cumin has been used in medicine due to its high antioxidant potential. The aim of this study is to identify the effect of black cumin cream on collagen levels and hydration of the skin of Rattus norvegicus exposed to ultraviolet-B rays. This is experimental study in which 30 male Wistar strain rats were classified into 6 sub-groups, namely the KN group (without treatment), KP (getting Nivea cream moisturizer), P1 (basic cream ), P2 (black cumin seed extract cream 0.25%), P3 (cream 0.5%) and P4 (cream 0.75%). P4 rat collagen levels increased significantly before and after the intervention (24 ± 2.23 vs 42.6 ± 14.6, p <0.05).Cream with lower concentrations did not provide a significant increase (p> 0.05). P4 rats also showed increased skin hydration (38.6 ± 19.3 to 63.0 ± 4.47 (p <0.05)), and this was not found in other groups. The administration of topical black cumin seed extract 0.75% can inhibit decreased levels of collagen and increase skin tissue hydration.

Abstract

The quality of health services provided to patients should be observed and addressed as well as possible so that patients as hospital customers can be loyal/loyal to the hospital. In this study, one aspect that needs to be improved is the outpatient service aspect. The outpatient unit is the patient's entry gate to the hospital in addition to the emergency unit. Outpatient visits exceed emergency department visits. The tendency of the community towards polyclinic services is increasing to get practical treatment services that come once and on that day also get complete services (one daycare) (Dewi et al., 2020) Installation of care in the hospital consists of installations inpatient, and outpatient. Outpatient installation is a service used by doctors as a place for consultation, examination, and treatment of patients who require a short time (Ministry of Health, 2012).

Abstract

The incision is a condition of tissue discontinuity that is commonly encountered with the risk of prolonged healing time, imperfect wound healing, infection, etc. Assessment of the wound healing activity of the incision is the purpose of this research, which includes an examination of wound contraction, the thickness of collagen fibers, and the number of new blood vessels formation. In total, 25 rats will be divided into 5 test groups, each consisting of 5 rats; the control group (cream base treated), standard group (Povidone Iodine), followed by the treated group with 10%, 20%, and 30% pandan leaf extract ointment. The preliminary screening of phytochemical analysisshowed the presence of alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, tannins, triterpenoids, and steroids and glycosides, with the total content of phenols and flavonoids from the ethanolic extract of Pandan Wangi is 20.95 GAE mg/gram extract, and 23.57 TAE mg/gram extract. Wound contraction examination result showed a significant difference between the treatment groups on day 16 and a sign the pairs of groups after being given the ointment with each concentration (p <0.05), especially in the group with 30% fragrant leaves extract and the standard group. Examination of new blood vessels showed a significant difference (p <0.05), especially with 30% of the leaves extract ointment. There was also a significant difference in collagen density in the group given pandanus ethanol ointment, especially at the 30% pandanus extract content against the group that was only given the ointment base. This research strongly suggests that the fragrant pandan leaf extract ointment is effective in healing incisional wounds and promises the potential for further studies on the pharmacological aspects.

Abstract

Implementation of the Code Blue System in the Hospital Inpatient Room. Mitra Medika Bandar Klippa is still being found. Constraints that occur are related to human resources (HR), facilities, response time, and Standard Operating Procedures (SPO). This study aims to determine the factors related to the implementation of the Code Blue System in the Hospital Inpatient Room. Mitra Medika Bandar Klippa. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The population in this study was the entire Code Blue team in the Hospital Inpatient Room. Mitra Medika Bandar Klippa and a sample of 9 people. Collecting data with primary and secondary data and analyzed by three interrelated sub-processes, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that Human Resources (HR), facilities, response time, and Standard Operating Procedures (SPO) were related to the implementation of the Code Blue System at Mitra Medika Hospital Bandar Klippa. The response time factor that is not always on time is due to the distance of the room being too far and the busyness in the ER/ICU at the same time as the code blue activation incident.

Abstract

Measurement of the service quality is very important, especially to improve service quality and get loyal customers in a private hospital using a lean service approach. This research aims to determine the effect of a lean service approach based on variables including overproduction, waiting time, transportation, excess processing, inventory, motion and satisfaction defects. This study used a quantitative method approach with a cross-sectional design. The population were treated in the inpatient ward of Malahayati Hospital, Medan. The sample size was 110 patients, determined by Rao formula. The sampling technique was a purposive sampling technique with inclusion criteria of patients who were hospitalized for more than three days on March 2021. Data obtained were analyzed with the logistic regression tests. The results showed all variable have significant effect on the inpatient satisfaction including over production (p = 0.019), followed by waiting time (p = 0.012), transportation (p = 0.011), excess processing (p = 0.017), inventory (p = 0.010), motion (p = 0.015), and satisfaction defects (p = 0.010). Based on multivariate analysis concluded that hospital service quality affects inpatient satisfaction based on the waste inventory (4.567 times) as the highest and waste transportation (2.786 times) as the lowest. This study has strongly suggested that the hospital management should maintain over production waste and other waste variables in order to improve the service quality.
