Abstract

The high number of elderly people in Dagen Hamlets, Pendowoharjo, Bantul requires special highlight, especially regarding the health care. This urgency is due to the fact that elderly people generally have accessibility limitations in addition to the remote location of health facilities. Therefore, health service which is practical and easy-to-reach/access by the elderly people needs to be managed to take place. The society empowerment effort, especially towards elderly people, was conducted step-by-step, involving socializations, trainings, practices, and local health service facility establishment. The success indicator achieved in this empowerment activities is shown by the improvement of people’s awareness, especially the elderly ones, towards the significance of health, health service post visitation intensity, and the development of the non-governmental health service facility.

Abstract

Islam teaches that every human being will experience death. The obligation of a Muslim to a Muslim who dies is fard kifayah, meaning that if some Muslims have carried it out, then the obligations have finished. These obligations are bathing, shrouding, praying and burying the dead. Women’s bodies must be treated specifically by the female coroner’s team. Hamlet Kembaran already has several ladies who are active in the care of corpses, despite the limited number. Accordingly, it affects the treatment of female corpses, where they are often assisted and guided by male coroners. Thus, more female mortuary teams are necessary with the knowledge, skills and independence in caring for women’s corpses and psychological assistance for bereaved families through the formation of a women’s mortuary team in the Kembaran hamlet. The program aimed to increase the knowledge and skills of the women’s congregation in the care (rukti) of women’s bodies through tutorials and practices. The implementation of the methods was carried out online using video tutorials and practices. The participants were 30 women, members of the Babul Jannah recitation, who were willing to take part in the training. The training was carried out for one month by a service team with religious and psychological expertise. Also, the videos and modules were created by the team. The training was carried out online through the Whatsapp group by providing material in the form of modules, presentation slides and videos of corpse care practices. The results of this community service program indicated that the knowledge, skills and behavior of the women’s congregation improved significantly, and they are ready to practice the care (rukti) of women’s bodies independently.

Abstract

Resilience is an important ability for adolescents to have, because, without resilience, adolescents will have difficulty in living a life that results in not being able to actualize themselves, self-achievement is not optimal and tends to be pessimistic person and can even suffer from depression. The provision of group counselling services is an effort that can be made by the school to improve student school engagement. The purpose of this study was to determine the form of group counselling services in increasing student school engagement during the pandemic. This study uses a literature review method with data collection techniques, namely collecting articles and books from several online journal article bases. The findings from this study indicate that enhancing student engagement in learning at school can be done through the provision of group counselling services using an appropriate strategy.

Abstract

Pembatasan kegiatan sosial, termasuk dalam bidang pendidikan, dilakukan untuk mencegah penyebaran virus penyebab covid-19. Pembatasan tatap muka di bidang pendidikan tersebut memunculkan berbagai tantangan. Di Taman Kanak-kanak (TK) Aisyiyah Bustnanul Atfal (ABA) Tlogolelo, kesulitan dialami oleh orang tua dan guru. Orang tua sering mengeluh dalam menjalankan sistem penugasan yang dibuat oleh sekolah. Guru-guru juga merasakan beban kerja tambah karena harus mengoreksi hasil penugasan. Untuk mengatasi kesulitan tersebut, dilakukan dua kegiatan yaitu peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam memproduksi konten pendukung pembelajaran yang menyenangkan bagi siswa. Kegiatan kedua yaitu peningkatan kemampuan guru untuk menghadapi tantangan lingkungan dengan tenang sehingga rasa tertekan dapat berkurang. Selain itu, dilakukan juga peningkatan kapasitas orang tua untuk mendampingi pembelajaran anak dengan tenang di masa pandemi. Hal ini dikarenakan waktu anak selama pembatasan tatap muka di sekolah lebih banyak dihabiskan di rumah bersama orang tua. Orang tua menjadi faktor penting dalam keberhasilan pembelajaran. Setelah pelatihan, guru dapat mempraktikkan materi yang telah dipelajari dalam menjaga ketenangan diri dan produksi media pembelajaran. Orang tua yang telah mengikuti kegiatan juga dapat mendampingi anak dengan lebih tenang.

Abstract

This study is aimed to (1) describe the effect of gadget use on emotional intelligence, (2) describe the effect of gadget use on social behavior, (3) describe the effect of gadget use on students' religious behavior. Quantitative approach was used in this research. The research subjects were collected using the cluster proportional random sampling technique. Data of this study were collected by using techniques using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed with a simple linear regression test. This study showed that (1) there is a significant effect of gadget use on emotional intelligence, (2) there is a significant effect of gadget use on social behavior, (3) there is a significant effect of gadget use on students' religious behavior.

Abstract

Autism is a developmental disorder that usually occurs in children. This disorder is characterized as an inability to interact with others in the form of a language disorder indicated by delayed language acquisition. Meanwhile, as humans, we are social creatures who definitely need help from others. Social interaction is key for a human being to adapt to his environment. Without interaction, there is no such thing as communal life. This study aims to determine the model of guidance for autistic children used in the Sekolah Khusus Taruna Al-Qur'an to improve students' social interaction skills. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data was collected by means of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The result of this research is that the Sekolah Khusus Taruna Al-Qur'an provides guidance in the form of speech therapy which is handled by competent therapists in their fields, and also guidance in the classroom using structured learning methods with a model of 1 or 2 students 1 teacher. Furthermore, after being given guidance, students show good changes, namely starting to focus on eye gaze and also the emergence of an understanding of how to convey desires or feelings appropriately. Obstacles in this guidance process are the variety of parenting styles of each student, unmaintained eating patterns, and limited infrastructure.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mastery of student life skills (personal skills, social skills, academic skills, and vocational skills) and their impact on the learning outcomes of madrasah students during the covid-19 pandemic period. This research is quantitative research that uses the correlational descriptive method. The sample of this study is 64 students of Grade Sixth of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Jragan. The results show that personal skills and social skills significantly affect the learning outcomes of madrasah students. Meanwhile, simultaneously, all life skills variables in this study substantially influence the learning outcomes of Madrasah students. These results indicate that life skills education mastered by madrasah students when studying online at home during the covid-19 pandemic encourages the achievement of good madrasa student learning outcomes. Hence, it can be concluded that online learning at home can work well if it is supported by better mastery of student life skills.

Abstract

Peran strategis penyuluh agama dalam pembinaan masyarakat sangatlah urgen Penyuluh agama sebagai wakil pemerintah dalam membina umat beragama, agar individu dapat mengamalkan ajaran agama dengan baik, sehingga kerukunan intern dan antar umat beragama, juga umat beragama dengan pemerintah dapat terjaga dengan baik, tidak terjadi konflik. Adapun tugas utama atau fungsi penyuluh agama mencakup fungsi edukatif, informatif, konsultatif, dan perlindungan terhadap masyarakat. Masa pandemic yang belum diketahui kapan berakhirnya, membuat semua kegiatan pembinaan agama masyarakat berubah, karena seluruh kegiatan tatap muka, termasuk kegiatan penyuluhan agama Islam harus mengikuti aturan dan tata cara yang ditetapkan pemerintah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model-model pembinaan agama Islam penyuluh agama di Yogyakarta di masa pandemic. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi wawancara, FGD dan dokumentasi. Subyek yang terlibat dalam penelitian adalah para penyuluh agama Islam, yang diambil dengan Teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dengan deskriptif analitik dan perbandingan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) Saat datangnya pandemic kegiatan pembinaan agama di semua daerah di wilayah DIY vakum (berhenti) selama tiga bulan. 2) Setelah turun Surat Edaran dari pemerintah para penyuluh mulai melaksanakan pembinaan agama dengan dinamikanya masing masing dan memanfaatkan media yang ada yakni : HP android, media tulisan (lembaran-lembaran), beberapa penyuluh juga melakukan pembinaan agama melalui konseling 3) Beberapa kendala dialami para penyuluh dalam pembinaan agama secara daring  yaitu terbatasnya sarana pendukung untuk kelompok jama’ah, kurang aktifnya jama’ah mengikuti pembinaan,  tidak semuanya jama’ah mendapatkan akses internet. 4) Penyuluh agama tidak semuanya siap dengan berbagai alat, juga ilmu terkait teknologi informasi, namun mereka tetap berupaya melakukannya
