Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the trophic structure of pelagic fish around Barru coastal waters.So that by knowing the structure of the tropic level it can be determined the ideal number of populations that shouldbe captured at all trophic levels so that small and large pelagic fish resources can maximally and sustainably beutilized. The benefits of this research with a trophic level approach can be made a model of fisheries managementpolicy in a region of the Makassar Strait in supporting the accelerated economic development program in theSulawesi Economic Corridor. The research method is taking data on environmental parameters and predation at eachtrophic level including fish through observing fish gastric contents. Identification results of gastric contents indicatethat anchovy and tembang fish are plankton (planktivore) eaters because only Phytoplankton and zooplankton canbe found in their intestine. Pepetek fish, fish float and mackerel eat plankton and several types of larvae of small fishand crustaceans so that they are classified as omnivores. Selar fish classify as carnivorous fish because in itsintestine found various types of small fish, shrimp, and various other animals and not obtained plankton as its mainfood item. Anchovy and tembang fish which are included as planktivore, have a greater percentage of phytoplanktonin their intestines compared to zooplankton.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of instruction towards income and fishers production increase. Also to analyze the variables which influenced by the increase of the income and fishers production in Sinjai District. This research was conducted in Sinjai District for 3 months long from December 2015 to February 2016. This study was designed using a combination of quantitative method with editing proccess and multiple linear regression analysis with tables. The result showed that instruction does effecting the increase of income and fishers production, and also effecting the education variable, farmer experience, connection with instructor, the amount of family burden, land area, and farming cost with positive contribution. The variable of farmers’ life span showed a negative contribution towards income and production which indicated that most of farmers categorized as unproductive labours.

Abstract

Permintaan konsumen akan ikan lele semakin meningkat.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh fermentasi limbah perut ikan menggunakan air beras dan mendapatkan dosis pengkayaan pakan yang optimal dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan, efisiensi pakan dan sintasan pada ikan lele (Clarias sp). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September sampai November 2018. Masing-masing 50 ekor benih ikan lele (berat rata-rata 2,78±0,19 g/ekor) ditebar dalam 12 akuarium berukuran 30x30x20 cm. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan  adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan, dengan dosis penambahan limbah perut ikan pada pakan komersil  yakni (A) 25% : 75%,  (B) 50% : 50%, (C) 75% : 25% dan (D) 0% : 100%, pemberian pakan dengan dosis 7% dari bobot biomassa. Pemeliharaan selama 30 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penambahan limbah perut ikan terfermentasi pada pakan buatan tidak berpengaruh (P>0,05) terhadap LPH, Pertumbuhan Mutlak dan Sintasan tetapi berpengaruh sangat nyata (P>0,05) terhadap efisiensi pakan dimana perlakuan (A) 11,24%, (B) 14,13%, (C) 20,12% dan (D) 11,94%. Penambahan 75% limbah perut ikan terfermentasi per kg pakan  menunjukan pemanfaatan pakan paling efisien. Consumer demand for catfish is increasing. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of fish stomach waste fermentation using rice water and obtain the optimal feed enrichment dose in increasing growth, feed efficiency and survival in catfish (Clarias sp). This research was conducted from September to November 2018. Each of the 50 catfish seeds (average weight 2.78 ± 0.19 g / head) was stocked in 12 30x30x20 cm sized aquariums . Theexperimental plan used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications, with additional doses of fish stomach waste on commercial feed namely (A) 25%: 75%, (B) 50%: 50%, (C) 75%: 25% and (D) 0%: 100%, feeding with a dose of 7% of the weight of biomass. 30 days maintenance. The results showed that the addition of fermented fish waste in artificial feed had no effect (P> 0.05) on LPH, Absolute Growth and Synthesis but had a very significant effect (P> 0.05) on feed efficiency where treatment (A) 11.24 %, (B) 14.13%, (C) 20.12% and (D) 11.94%. The addition of 75% of fermented fish waste per kg of feed shows the most efficient use of feed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan lokasi budidaya rumput laut Kappaphicus alvarezii dengan kualitas Karagenan rumput laut di perairan Kosiwo Kabupaten Kepulauan Yapen - Papua. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Parameter lingkungan dilakukan secara langsung (in-situ) sedangkan menganalisis kandungan karagenan dilakukan di Laboratorium Nutrisi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan person correlasi untuk menganalisis korelasi antara Parameter lingkungan terhadap kandungan karagenan. Hasil penelitian di perairan Kosiwo Kabupaten Kepulauan Yapen-Papua Kualitas  kandungan karagenan rumput laut yaitu Nilai tertinggi di teluk mioka sebesar 11,87% pada awal dan 29,67% pada akhir penelitian, selanjutnya di kamanumpang sebesar 11,65% pada awal dan  26,77% pada akhir sedangkan yang terendah di salawandori sebesar 11,19 pada awal dan 22,77 pada akhir penelitian. korelasi antara faktor lingkungan terhadap kualitas karagenan rumput laut Kappaphicus alvarezii menunjukkan bahwa di Sarawandori dan di Kamanumpang menunjukkan bahwa faktor lingkungan tidak berkolerasi terhadap kandungan karagenan sementara pada Miyokamenunjukkan bahwa suhu perairan berpengaruh terhadap kandungan keragenan terdapat pada. Korelasi antara pertumbuhan dan rendeman karagenan rumput laut K. alvarezii pada tiga lokasi penelitian didpatkan nilai korelasi 0,019 – 0,504. Kandungan rendeman karagenan rumput laut yang terbaik di Teluk Mioka kemudian Kamanumpang dan Terendah di Sarawandori. This study aims to analyze the relationship ofseaweed cultivation location with seaweed Kappaphicus alvareziicarrageenan quality in Kosiwo waters in Yapen Islands Regency - Papua. This research is experimental using quantitative approaches and qualitative approaches. Environmental parameters were carried out directly (in-situ) while analyzing carrageenan content was carried out at the Nutrition Laboratory. The data obtained were analyzed using correlated person to analyze the correlation between environmental parameters of carrageenan content. The results of the study in Kosiwo waters in Yapen-Papua Islands Regency The quality of seaweed carrageenan content is the highest value at bay mioka at 11.87% at the beginning and 29.67% at the end of the study, then at the passenger level at 11.65% at the beginning and 26, 77% at the end while the lowest in Salawandori was 11.19 at the beginning and 22.77 at the end of the study. Correlation between environmental factors on the quality of seaweed carrageenan Kappaphicus alvarezii showed that in Sarawandori and in Kamanumpang showed that environmental factors were not correlated with the carrageenan content while in Miyokamen showed that the water temperature had an effect on the content of the agent found in Correlation between growth and rendering ofseaweed carrageenan K. alvarezii in the three study sites was adjusted by a correlation value of 0.019 - 0.504. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui parameter perairan dan tingkat kesesuaian lahan terhadap kelayakan budidaya ikan kerapu pada Keramba Jaring Apung di Teluk Ambai Kabupaten Yapen, dilaksanakan di Yapen Propinsi Papua selama tiga bulan dari Bulan Oktober sampai Desember 2018. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode matching dan scoring dengan penentuan stasiun lima titik pengamatan di Teluk Ambai kabupaten Yapen, dirancang dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Parameter lingkungan perairan Teluk Ambai secara kualitas perairan dan teknis budidaya layak untuk pengembangan budidaya kerapu (Epinephelus sp) dengan metode Karamba Jaring Apung. Kesesuaian perairan berdasarkan kualitas perairan di Stasiun 1,2,3 dan 4 dengan nila 60,9 – 76,9 mendapatkan skor cukup sesuai (S2) dan pada stasiun 5 mendapatkan skor 80.9% dengan nilai kelayakan sesuai (S1) sedangkan kesesuaian perairan berdasarkan teknis budidaya semua stasiun menunjukkan nilai yaitu >80% yang termasuk kedalam tingkat kesesuaian pada kelas S1 (sesuai).

Abstract

Rumput laut Gracilaria sp merupakan sumber pangan dan memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi sebagai sumber devisa serta usaha padat karya yang mampu menyerap banyak tenaga kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan tingkat kelayakan lahan tambak untuk budidaya rumput laut (Gracilaria sp) berdasarkan parameter fisika (Suhu, ,kedalaman dan kecerahan) dan kimia (salinitas, pH, oksigen terlarut, CO2,nitrat dan fosfat). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kawasan tambak yang ada di Kecamatan Sinjai Utara Kabupaten Sinjai, sampelnya sebanyak 3 titik/stasiun pengamatan ditentukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling berdasarkan letak dan sumber air tambak. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan pengamatan, pengukuran langsung dilapangan(suhu, salinitas, kedalaman, kecerahan, oksigen terlarut dan pH) dan analisis laboratorium (fosfat, nitrat,) kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode pembobotan. Setelah diperoleh nilai skor dari setiap parameter pada setiap titik pengamatan, kemudian dilakukan penilaian yakni layak (S1) dengan kisaran nilai 68-87, cukup layak (S2) dengan kisaran nilai 48-67, dan tidak layak (N) dengan kisaran nilai 27-47.Hasil diperoleh bahwa ketiga stasiun masuk kategori cukup layak (S2) dengan nilai stasiun I (63), stasiun II (56) dan stasiun III (63). Dengan demikian kegiatan budidaya rumput laut Gracillaria sp cukup layak untuk dikembangkan di Kecamatan Sinjai Utara. Seaweed Gracilaria sp is a source of food and having economic value high as a source of foreign exchange and efforts labor-intensive capable of absorbing a lot of labor. Research aims to understand the characteristics and the feasibility land farms to seaweed cultivation (gracilaria sp) based on physical parameters (temperature, deepness and brightness) and chemistry (salinitas , pH, oxygen dissolved,carbon dioxide, nitrate and phosphate). Population in this study of the farms in Sinjai sub district north, sample as many as 3 points/an observation station determined by using the method purposive sampling based on the layout and water sources farms. The data the results of the study obtained with the observation, the measurement of directly field (the temperature of, salinitas, depth, brightness, oxygen dissolved and pH) and an analysis of lab where internal conditions (phosphate, nitrate) then analyzed in order by using the method the weightings of the. After the recent retrieval of the value of a score of every parameter on each the point of observation, then be a assessment of bond issuance will be worthy of (s1) with a range of the value of 68-87, seemed worthy enough to operate ( s2 ) with a range of the value of 48-67 , but it is not suitable ( n ) with a range of the value of 27-47. Result obtained that all three renovation of the gas station is categorized as a seemed worthy enough to operate ( s2 ) with a value of up the first three months of station ( 63 ), renovation of the gas station II ( 56 ) and train stations III (63). As a result of this activities are to be implemented seaweed cultivation gracillaria sp seemed worthy enough to operate to be developed in Sinjai sub district north.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis lingkungan internal dan eksternal yang mempengaruhi pengembangan budidaya ikan dan mengkaji strategi yang tepat dalam usaha pengembangan budidaya ikan karamba Jaring apung di Danau Sentani Jayapura, dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan dari Bulan Juni sampai Agustus 2019. Metode yang dilakukan dengan teknik survei melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam dengan stakeholder terdiri dari pembudidaya, masyarakat pemanfaat dan pemerintah terkait, dianalisis dengan scoring dan SWOT pada sembilan titik stasiun pengamatan berbeda mewakili areal Timur, Tengah dan Barat danau Sentani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan parameter lingkungan perairan pada wilayah Timur dan Tengah danau Sentani yaitu distrik Puay dan Asei kecil masih layak untuk pengembangan budidaya Karamba Jaring Apung, berbeda pada wilayah Barat di sekitar Simporo beberapa parameter lingkungan budidaya menunjukkan kurang layak. Faktor Internal dan eksternal dengan cara peningkatkan pemahaman kelompok budidaya akan pentingnya pemanfaatan sumberdaya danau berpengaruh terhadap pengembangan budidaya karamba jaring apung di danau Sentani. Penguatan sinergitas antara pembudidaya dan kolaboratif dengan berbagai pihak merupakan strategi yang tepat untuk mendorong peningkatan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan pembudidaya This study aims to analyze the internal and external environment that affect the development of fish culture and assess the right strategy in the development of floating net cage fish farming in Sentani Lake Jayapura, carried out for three months from June to August 2019. The method is carried out by survey techniques through In-depth observations and interviews with stakeholders consisting, beneficiary communities and relevant government, were analyzed by scoring and SWOT at nine different observation station points representing the East, Central and West areas of Lake Sentani. The results showed that the environmental parameters of the waters in the East and Central Sentani lakes, namely the districts of Puay and Asei small, were still suitable for the development of floating net Karamba cultivation, differing in the West region around Simporo, some parameters of the aquaculture environment showed that they were less feasible. Internal and external factors by increasing the understanding of aquaculture groups on the importance of the use of lake resources influence the development of floating net cage cultivation in Lake Sentani. Strengthening synergy between farmers and collaboratives with various parties is the right strategy to encourage farmers to increase income and welfare

Abstract

Beberapa tahun terakhir pembudidaya udang Vaname sudah meninggalkan penggunaan antibiotik untuk membantu mengatasi penyakit dalam upaya meningkatkan hasil panen, karena terbukti penggunaan bakteri menjadi semakin meningkatkan resistensi bakteri patogen terhadap antibiotik. Probiotik menjadi solusi terbaik saat ini untuk mendapatkan keberhasilan optimal pada hasil produksi budidaya udang Vaname. Tujuan dari penelitian ini supaya memperoleh pengetahuan konsentrasi terbaik penggunaan probiotik yang diberikan dengan pencampuran pakan dengan berbeda konsentrasi untuk pertumbuhan, sintasan dan FCR udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini eksperimental yang terdiri atas 4 perlakuan yaitu A (tanpa penambahan probiotik fermentasi pada pakan), B (penambahan probiotik fermentasi 0,5 liter), C (pakan dengan Probiotik fermentasi 1 liter), dan P3 (pakan dengan Probiotik fermentasi 1,5 liter) pada wadah dengan kepadatan 100 ekor/L. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata laju pertumbuhan spesifik udang Vaname berkisar antara 0.16-0,26 %, tingkat kelangsungan hidup berkisar antara 49 – 93 %. In the last few years, vaname shrimp farmers have abandoned the use of antibiotics to help overcoming the disease as an effort to increase crop yields, because it is proven that the use of bacteria has increased the resistance of pathogenic bacteria to antibiotics. Probiotics are the best solution at this time to obtain optimal success in the production of vaname shrimp. The purpose of this study is to obtain the best concentration of probiotic use given by mixing feed with different concentrations for growth, survival and FCR of vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). The method used in this experimental study consisted of 4 treatments namely A (without addition of fermented probiotics in feed), B (addition of 0.5-liter fermented probiotics), C (feed with 1-liter fermented probiotics), and P3 (feed with 1.5-liter fermented probiotics) in containers with a density of 100 ind./L. The results showed that the average specific growth rate of vaname shrimp ranged from 0.16 to 0.26% and the survival rate ranged from 49 to 93%.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh hormon tiroksin terhadap pertumbuhan ikan nila salin dengan beberapa konsentrasi yang berbeda dan secara oral. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan 4 perlakuan yaitu penambahan hormone Tiroksin pada pakan 10 g/kg pakan pada P1, 15g/kg pada P2, 25 g/kg pada P3 dan tanpa pemberian hormone pada pakan untuk control ada P4. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analysis of variance (ANOVA). Parameter uji dalam penelitian ini meliputi Laju Pertumbuhan Spesifik dan Pertumbuhan Mutlak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan laju pertumbuhan 3,01-4,73%/hari, pertumbuhan mutlak 103,78 - 159,04 gram, sehingga penggunaan hormone Tiroksin terbaik 25 gram/kg pakan. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the thyroxine hormone on the growth of salted tilapia with several different concentrations and it’s done orally. This study was carried out experimentally with 4 treatments, namely the addition of the hormone thyroxine 10g/kg feed at P1, 15g/kg feed at P2, 25g/kg feed at P3 and without addition of hormones to feed for control at P4. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Test parameters in this study include the Specific Growth Rate and Absolute Growth. The results showed a growth rate of 3.01-4.73%/day and absolute growth of 103.78-159.04 grams, so that the best use of thyroxine hormone was 25 g/kg feed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kelayakan perairan berdasarkan parameter fisika dan kimia perairan danau Paniai untuk kegiatan budidaya ikan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan mengkaji kondisi kualitas air perairan danau Paniai, Papua. Pengambilan dan pengukuran sampel air pada setiap lokasi sampling dilakukan dengan metode composite sampling (gabungan tempat). Contoh air danau diambil pada permukaan dan pertengahan. Pengukuran dan pengumpulan data dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali dengan interval waktu antar pengukuran selama 1 bulan. Hasil penelitian didapatkan parameter fisika masih memenuhi syarat baku mutu, parameter kimia, dari delapan parameter yang diukur terdapat 3 parameter yang tidak memenuhi baku mutu yaitu, H2S, Nitrat dan Posfat. Hal ini menunjjukan bahwa tingginya buangan limbah dari sektor pertanian dan rumah tangga yang masuk ke dalam danau dan berpontesi terjadinya eutrofikasi dan peledakan pertumbuhan tanaman air. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of the waters based on the physical, chemical and biological parameters of the waters of Paniai lake for fish farming activities. This research is a quantitative descriptive study by examining the condition of the water quality of the waters of Lake Paniai, Papua. Water samples were taken and measured at each sampling location using the composite sampling method (combined places). Lake water samples were taken at the surface and in the middle. Measurement and data collection were carried out 2 times with an interval of 1 month between measurements. The results showed that the physical parameters still show the quality standard requirements, chemical parameters, from the eight parameters measured there were 3 parameters that did not show the quality standards, namely, H2S, Nitrate and Phosphate. This shows that the high discharge of waste from the agricultural and household sectors that enters the lake has the potential for eutrophication and explosive growth of aquatic plants.
