Abstract

Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PCE) are crucial for developing active, critical, and responsible citizens. Critical thinking is a key competency students should acquire through PCE. This study aims to analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of the Project Citizen learning model utilising a Scientific Approach in enhancing students' critical thinking skills. The long-term objective is to provide junior high school teachers with examples of innovative learning models applicable to all subjects and recommend to relevant agencies to implement the Project Citizen model in PCE to boost critical thinking abilities. This research focuses on creating effective learning models and frameworks for instilling character values in schools. Using a quantitative quasi-experimental design, the study's population consists of all Public Junior High School 3 Kendari students, with a sample drawn from two eighth-grade classes. Data collection involved attitude scale questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Statistical methods were used for quantitative data analysis, while qualitative data were analysed descriptively. The analysis included normality tests, homogeneity tests, comparisons of means, and calculations of normalised gains. Hypothesis testing revealed a significant difference in the effectiveness of the Project Citizen model based on the Scientific Approach compared to conventional teaching methods in improving critical thinking skills at Public Junior High School 3 Kendari.

Abstract

Kejahatan pencurian anak makin marak terjadi, tidak hanya dalam skala nasional tetapi juga dalam skala lokal dengan berbagai motif, dimulai dari motif human trafficking atau perdagangan manusia, hingga untuk tujuan penjualan organ dalam. Fenomena terkini penculikan anak terjadi di Makassar dimana korban yang menjadi korban penculikan dibunuh dengan tujuan penjualan organ dalam. Disisi lain, orangtua dan guru memiliki keterbatasan dalam melakukan pengawasan baik ketika anak berada dalam lingkungan rumah maupun di lingkungan sekolah, sehingga pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membantu anak untuk menanamkan rasa mawas diri atau self-awareness sejak dini kepada anak dengan metode bercerita menggunakan media hand puppet. Metode ini dipilih dikarenakan karakteristik anak TK yang masih tergolong dalam anak usia dini maka diperlukan media pembelajaran yang mampu menarik perhatian dan fokus anak serta media ini mampu menyederhanakan pesan-pesan pembelajaran dengan cara yang mudah dimengerti dan tidak membosankan. Dari 27 partisipan di Raudhatul Athfal Al-Fathanah Makassar diperoleh hasil evalusi dengan teknik observasi memperlihatkan setiap anak-anak di Raudhatul Athfal Al-Fathanah Makassar berpartisipasi aktif ketika memberikan feedback terkait peran tokoh, nilai dan moral di dalam cerita, serta kepekaannya terhadap orang yang tidak dikenal di lingkungan rumah dan sekolah di dalam alur cerita puppet show yang diberikan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut sehingga pengenalan self-awareness melalui puppet show untuk mengenalkan anak mengenai pentingnya keamaan diri terkait segala kemungkinan situasi yang tidak kondusif di lingkungan sekolah seperti tindakan penculikan anak menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan.

Abstract

Work-life balance merupakan keseimbangan dan kesejahteraan yang meliputi kehidupan kerja dan kehidupan pribadi secara keseluruhan. Sebagai bentuk kontribusi peneliti pada organisasi tempat melaksanakan praktik kerja, peneliti merancang program psikoedukasi dengan tema “How to Create A Healthy Work-Life Balance”. Tujuan pelaksanaan psikoedukasi adalah untuk memberikan informasi terkait cara meningkatkan work-life balance staff karyawan di PT. ALC Makassar. Psikoedukasi dilaksanakan melalui media poster dan microsoft power point. Peserta psikoedukasi merupakan 10 staff karyawan PT. ALC Makassar. Berdasarkan hasil analisis pada posttest dan evaluasi dapat diketahui bahwa kegiatan psikoedukasi berhasil memberikan informasi terkait cara meningkatkan work-life balance pada staff karyawan di PT. ALC Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh antara Deprivasi Relatif terhadap Loyalitas Kerja karyawan office di PT. ALC Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang berlokasi di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 14 orang karyawan office PT. ALC Makassar. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala Likert yang berisi pernyataan tentang indikator deprivasi relatif dan indikator loyalitas kerja. Metode analisis data yang digunakan merupakan analisis regresi sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik, diperoleh hasil P = 0.011 < 0.05 yang artinya terdapat pengaruh antara deprivasi relatif terhadap loyalitas kerja karyawan office PT. ALC Makassar.

Abstract

Verbal violent behavior in the online game mobile legend: bang bang for some online game players is normal and has become a habit. The purpose of this study was to explore the behavior of verbal violence in online game players: mobile legend bang bang. This study uses a qualitative research design with a construct realism approach. The research respondents totaled 188 online game players: mobile legend: bang bang. Data was collected using an open question questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out in three stages, namely open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The results of the study show that there are five types of verbal abuse that occur in online games: mobile legend: bang bang, i.e. swearing by demeaning one's abilities, using animal names, harsh words, sexual harassment, and swearing by insulting one's condition. The causes of individuals getting verbal violence are lack of skills, experiencing defeat in games, poor communication, and network disturbances. Individuals also verbally abuse other individuals due to anger, bad playing players, game atmosphere, habits, and game strategies. The individual goals of verbal violence are expressing frustration, motivating players, self-satisfaction, game strategies, and player habits. The impact of verbal violence is the psychological impact such as hurt, fear, giving resistance, provoked anger, and retaliating. Non-psychological impacts such as stopping playing, reporting to game parties, disabling communication features, and motivating players. Efforts to minimize verbal violence in the legendary mobile game: bang bang, namely reminding each other, playing seriously, calming down, stopping playing, venting on other things, ignoring other players. The implication of this research is as a source of literacy regarding verbal violence that occurs in the mobile game legend: bang bang.

Abstract

Self-disclosure is the ability of individuals to voluntarily disclose information about themselves to others that is personal. This will affect both him and others, if done excessively. From the influence of self-disclosure factors based on personality type can be seen and focus on the personality of the big five personality in Makassar State University students. This study involved students of Makassar State University (N=381). The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. The measuring instruments used are the Big Five Inventory scale (BFI) adaptation scale from Ramdhani (2012) and the self-disclosure scale from Tamaraya research (2020). Data analysis used in this study is a multiple linear regression technique. The results showed that there is not significant influence with the four big five personality, namely, Openess to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, and agreeableness to self-disclosure. While personality neuroticism has a significant effect on self-disclosure. This research has implications in the field of Social Psychology and is useful for students to be able to determine the value of attitudes, emotions, and values that affect individuals on personality that are carried out towards self-disclosure.

Abstract

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is designed as a self-entertaining game that can stimulate adrenaline. One of the impacts of playing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is verbal behavior that tends to be negative and aggressive which is caused by the high intensity of playing online games and even makes players unconsciously apply it in their daily lives. The large amount of free time that players use to play causes addiction and changes in the individual's character to become more aggressive. This research uses quantitative methods with accidental sampling techniques in sampling. The respondents in this research were students from SMP Negeri 10 Makassar who played the online game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang with an age range of 12-15 years with a sample of 117 students. The instruments used were the Online Game Playing Intensity scale and the Verbal Aggression scale. The data analysis used is simple regression analysis with the help of SPSS 24.0 software. The results of data analysis obtained a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.184 with a significance level of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), so it can be concluded that the intensity of playing online games has a positive and significant influence on the verbal aggression of students at SMP Negeri 10 Makassar.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to explore trust of collage students in Makassar towards their lecturers. There were 238 research participants, consisted of 128 females and 110 males. The data collection technique applied a questionnaire. After collectig data, we analyzed through simple regression analysis in SPSS application. The result of this study showed that 68% of trust is formed by personal and relational attributes. The aspects which were not significant to this trust model are closeness and reciprocity. Further research also found that 33% of students felt that their lecturers met the desired criteria while 67% of students felt that their lecturers did not meet the desired criteria. In the end, this study provided an overview of the appropriate model of trust between students towards lecturers in the higher education environment in general and specifically in the university environment in Makassar. The author hoped that this study will become a reference in building a conducive academic evironment and initial step to support an effective teaching and learning process, as well as an effort to avoid conflicts that occur in power relations between lecturers and students.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the program of Bentuk Kegiatan Pembelajaran (BKP) which is an initiation of the policy called Kampus Merdeka from Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. This study measured the effectiveness of BKP program which has been implemented by collage students at several institutions around Makassar. The participants in this research were 43 students consisted of 9 males and 34 females. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires via Google Form to participants and then analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The result of this study showed that the majority of participants considered that the BKP program was running well, although there were still several lacks, such as activities during BKP which were considered boring, learning methods that were unable to explore students' abilities, and a mismatch between student expectations and the real condition of BKP program. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used as a consideration for lecturers who guide students in the next program to provide a more detailed understanding to students and partners.
