Abstract

Research on current diffusion into the conductor is one of important segments in electrical engineering field of study. The main purpose of the study is to recognize the behaviors and characteristics of current diffusion in conductor for further development in the future. The results of the research would be very useful, particularly in the transmission line study. In this paper, study will be focused at the characteristic of current diffusion in conductor due to its variation impedance value of load particularly when resistive load is larger than the conductor impedance (Zo).

Abstract

This paper discussed about simulation of closed loop position control system of DC servo motor in solar collector thermal power plant application. When the input position that simulated with step signal given to motor, the positional information from an output potentiometer which is mechanically coupled to a motor is feedback to control amplifier. The references position input from input step is combined with the feedback signal at the input of the amplifier which drivers the motor in proportion to the difference between two signal. In this case, the position of DC servo motor controlled with PID controller. Simulation was created by Simulink toolbox of Matlab 6.50. we found constant PID control are Kp = 1, Ki = 0,4, and Kd = 0,5.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh head dan debit terhadap kinerja PLTMH dengan variasi jumlah pipa penstock. Pengujian dilakukan dengan memvariasikan bukaan setiap keran dan jumlah pipa penstock yang beroperasi pada alat uji PLTMH hasil rancang bangun. Hasil pengujian alat uji sistem PLTMH dengan variasi jumlah pipa penstock pada pengujian tanpa beban menghasilkan putaran turbin tertinggi sebesar 1271 rpm dengan pengoperasian 1 pipa penstock dengan kondisi keran pembuangan udara pompa tertutup penuh dan putaran terendah sebesar 92,3 rpm dengan pengoperasian 5 pipa penstock dengan kondisi keran pembuangan udara pompa tertutup ½ dari tutupan keran. Sedangkan tegangan keluaran tertinggi pada generator sebesar 12,4 Volt dengan daya maksimum yang dibangkitkan sebesar 7,316 Watt dengan pengoperasian 1 pipa penstock pada pengujian berbeban 20 Ω dengan kondisi keran pembuangan udara pompa tertutup penuh.

Abstract

Vacuum condenser is one of the parameters that affect the performance of the plant. To keep the plants performance remains stable then it takes a good degree of vacuum in the condenser. This final project aims to determine the performance of plants based on the level of vacuum condenser different. The method used is collecting data on the actual load conditions 50%, 75% and 100% and then perform data analysis. The results will be presented in tables and graphs then be deduced. Based on data and analysis that has been carried out, the results obtained are better condenser vacuum pressure, the specific steam consumption, specific fuel consumption and turbine heat rate (heat rate) will decrease, while the efficiency of the turbine will increase

Abstract

Abstract: Basically extraction turbine is the process of utilization of residual steam from the turbine or steam thermal energy transfer that had crashed into the turbine blade to produce rotation. Before the water is pumped into the boiler feedwater must be preheated until it reaches a certain temperature. The heating takes place by conduction by using hot steam removed (extracted) from the turbine.Retrieval of data taken at the turbine extraction system in the plant Barru. The data is in the form of temperature, pressure, flow rate, and volume as well as an image extraction turbine system. Then to develop a model in the form of a mathematical model extraction component. Further making and testing programs in the form of block Simulink simulation using MATLAB software. Perform data processing and discussion. From the simulation results will be obtained data and charts thermal efficiency of the turbine and the variation of the use of extraction will be conducted discussion. The conclusion of this study is variable extraction systems have been conducted using a manual counting of steam calculator software and a conventional formula. Variable values that have been obtained in the form = 14,95 kg/s, = 0,882 kg/s, = 4,764 kg/s, = 1,742 kg/s, = 52,905 kg/s, = -33,436 kg/s, Wp total = 15,957 kJ/kg, Qin = 2650,852 kJ/kg. Mathematical model extraction turbines are known in the form of the transfer function . The simulation results obtained with the use of thermal efficiency value of one to six extraction, with details Eks1 = 15,5%, Eks2 = 21,27%, Eks3 = 21,46%, Eks4 = 22%, Eks5 = 42%, Eks6 = 54%. From these results it is evident that the use of feedwater heater as a component of the extraction system is essential to improve the thermal efficiency of a steam power plant, especially in plant Barru. Abstract

Pulau Bahuluang merupakan salah satu daerah yang terpisah dari daratan Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar yang dalam pemenuhan akan kebutuhan listrik tidak mendapat pasokan listrik dari PLN (Pelayanan Listrik Nasional) Selayar. Kebutuhan listrik sehari-hari diperoleh dari generator diesel yang dioperasikan hanya 5 jam per hari dikarenakan biaya operasional yang tinggi pada bahan bakar, itupun dengan harga solar bersubsidi. Struktur pulau Bahuluang yang sebagian besar terdiri dari hamparan dan sabana yang cukup luas serta titik koordinat dari pulau tersebut menyebabkan pulai ini dilalaui angin barat dan angin timur yang cukup berpotensi untuk dimanfaatkan dimana rata-rata kecepatan angin pertahun di Pulau Bahuluang yang bisa dimanfatkan sebesar 7,89 m/s (Dinas Pertambangan dan Energi Kab. Kep. Selayar) serta rata-rata potensi intensitas radiasi matahari pertahun di pulau Bahuluang yang bisa dimanfaatkan sebesar 6 kWh/m2/d dari situs internet (Solar and Wind Energy Resource Assesment).Studi ini mengusulkan pembangkit listrik hibrida di pulau tersebut yang terdiri atas PV (Photo Voltaic) dan WT (Wind Turbine) serta Generator Diesel agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan listrik 24 jam. Software HOMER (Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewable) digunakan untuk simulasi dan analisis dengan tujuan menghasilkan perencanaan pembangkit listrik hibrida yang optimal di Pulau Bahuluang mengacu pada NPC (Net Present Cost), modal awal dan biaya operasional. Hasil simulasi menunjukan Produksi dan konsumsi energi (kWh/tahun) dari PV (Photo Voltaic) sebesar 22,70% dan WT (Wind Turbine) sebesar 13,51% setidaknya dapat menurunkan biaya operasional dibanding sistem hanya menggunakan Generator Diesel.

Abstract

Biogas is an alternative energy in the form of gas formed from the process of fermentation of organic materials. One of the most abundant organic materials is water hyacinth. This research aims to design the tool that will be used to process water hyacinth so that it can produce biogas energy. The main components of the equipment made consist of digester, water trap, gas container, and gas stove, each made 3 appliances. The experiment was conducted using 3 pieces of digester where each digester was filled with 10kg of water hyacinth and different starter. Digester A uses a 0.5 liter EM4 starter mixed with 4.5 liters of water. Digester B using starter 5 kg of cow dung mixed with water 3 liters. And digester C using starter 5 kg of cow dung mixed with 0.5 liters EM4 and 4, 5 liters of water. Then see the development of biogas during the fermentation process (35 days). From the results of this study can be obtained biogas pressure, temperature, acidity (pH) and the duration of the flame generated by the means of producing biogas using this digester and can be applied to the stove. The pressure change produced by digester C is greater than the pressure generated from digesters A and B. The temperature changes produced in digester C are greater than the temperature produced by digesters A and B. The initial pH value of mixing for digester A is pH 6.3, digester B with pH 7.5 and digester C with pH 5.5. The pH value after biogas was produced for digester A with pH 7.5, digester B with pH 7.5 and digester C with pH 7.6. This corresponds to a good pH for the growth of biogas-forming microbes, ranging from 6.4 to 7.8. The fire generated on the blue flame test, with the total length of the flame for each digester is 54 minutes 46 seconds.

Abstract

Research aimed to analyze several influences of system quality, information quality and perceived usefulness to user satisfaction on financial accounting software and its impact on individual performance. Sampling technique was using purposive sampling based on questionnaires distributed to users of financial accounting software who work at international freight forwarding. The number of samples was 200 respondents. The analytical method used was Structure Equation Models (SEM) with Lisrel 8.75 full version. The result of study showed that system quality and information quality have significant influenced the perceived usefulness. System quality, information quality, and perceived usefulness have significant influenced to user satisfaction. User satisfaction had significant influenced to individual performance. The highest influence from overall model was shown by the influence of system quality on perceived usefulness. Keywords: System Information, Perceived Usefulness, Satisfaction, Performance

Abstract

Prediction of electrical load on 150 kV Sulselrabar electrical system, analyzed using approach at night peak load using Fuzzy Logic based intelligent method. The peak load characteristics are certainly different from the load in normal time, therefore a special approach is needed to predict the peak night load. As input data will be used data of night peak load in 2010 until 2015, on the same day and date, each 4 days before day-H or day date which will be predicted load. For the data processing stage is divided into several stages, namely pre-processing, processing, and post-processing. The load data processing follows several procedures, ie computing WDmax, LDmax, TLDmax and VLDmax each year. Data processing is processed using excel software and then using Matlab software to run Fuzzy Logic. From the analysis results obtained, Error Prediction The peak evening load is very small that is equal to -0.070033687%. As comparison data used actual day-H data is April 2016. Abstract

Changes in load on the power system suddenly, can cause dynamic disruption. This disturbance can not be responded well by the generator, so it can affect the system dynamic stability, such as the occurrence of oscillation speed and rotor angle. Conventional control of excitation and governor, also unable to repair the oscillations, so that additional controllers such as Power System Stabilizer (PSS) are required. In the use of PSS, there are several problems that often arise, namely the correct tuning of PSS parameters. In this research, we proposed a method of smart computing based on bat algorithm, for tuning PSS parameters. From the analysis results can be concluded, the performance performance of generator barru increased with the installation of Power System Stabilizer with optimal PSS parameter, with parameters respectively Kpss = 44.0828, T1 = 0.0284, T2 = 0.0146, T3 = 0.7818, T4 = 1.2816.
