Abstract

West and East coast of Sumatra are two different geographical and trade routes. The West Coast is connected with trade direction to India, Arabia and Africa while on the East Coast it is connected with trade in the Malacca Strait, East Asian economy. Based on photos of satellite images at night, the east coast has more light compared to the west coast. This study analyzed the differences in economic inequality between the economy of the population residing in the West Coast Region and the East Coast of Sumatra. This study took data sourced from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency published in the last 5 years, 2013-2017. The data were processed using SPSS and Excel using the Williamson Index analysis tool. There are 23 Regencies / Cities in the West Coast and 23 Regencies / Cities in the East Coast analyzed where the West Coast average growth rate in the last 5 years is 5.17% and East Coast 5.48% with the Inequality index using the Williamson Index formula in West Coast 0.37 and East Coast 0.28. It was found that economic activity on the East Coast tends to be more lively and higher economic growth with a low level of inequality compared to the West coast of Sumatra

Abstract

The study aims to investigate and analyze the needs of information and communications technology (ICT) in the learning process of digital-native students of the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Padang in Indonesia. The data were collected by using a structured questionnaire, and it was analyzed undergoing the descriptive method. The results of this study indicated that the majority of students use technology in the learning process, such as smartphone and laptop all the time. In general, students prefer using WhatsApp and e-learning to support their learning activity. The adoption of technology is affected by easiness to use and provide a piece of fast and comprehensive information. Therefore, they believe that the use of technology is relatively high within the learning process of the digital natives that technology integration in education is highly demanded.

Abstract

This study aims to find out 1) Influence of Student Perception on Financial Compensation and Work Environment On Interest in Choosing Teacher Profession In Economic Education Students 2) Influence of Student Perception On Financial Compensation On Interest in Choosing Teacher Profession In Economic Education Students and 3) Influence of Student Perception About Work Environment On Interest in Choosing Teacher Profession In Economic Education Students. The population in this study was students of Economic Education Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Padang and the number of selected samples as many as 119 students. This type of research is descriptive associative research. The sampling technique used in this study is probability sampling by using proportional stratified random sampling. Data analysis using descriptive analysis, analysis requirement test, multiple regression, F test, determinant coefesien and t test. The results showed that 1) Students' Perception of Financial Compensation and Work Environment  had a significant effect on the Interest in Choosing a Teacher Profession. 2) Student Perception of Financial Compensation has a significant effect on the Interest in Choosing a Teacher Profession. 3) Student Perception of The Work Environment has a significant effect on the Interest in Choosing a Teacher Profession.

Abstract

Islamic banking in Indonesia is experiencing rapid development. This study aims to analyze bank customer satisfaction with services provided by conventional banks and Islamic banks. Bank satisfaction is measured through several factors including tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. The sample in this study were 100 respondents. This research method is a descriptive method using TCR analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that TCR values in conventional banks do not have too high differences. Conventional banks have a TCR value of 0.35% higher than Islamic banks.

Abstract

Constitution Number 14 Year 2005 on Teachers and Lecturers define that teachers have a position as professionals. Professional teachers should be able to ransfer the knowledge to the students and have ability to develop themselves through scientific papers. This study aims to analyze the ability of teachers in writing scientific papers. The population of the research is the economic teacher in Pasaman Barat Regency. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to 24 samples. The results of the research show that rhe teachers have low experience in writing and publishing of scientific paper. The result shows that the teachers need tutor in writing and in publication, shown by a very high TCR value of 89.17%.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the pedagogical competence of teachers who are members of MGMP Economics in Padang City. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive. In collecting data, researchers distributed questionnaires to 32 teachers who were members of the MGMP of the Padang City Economics teacher. The results of this study indicate the average teacher's understanding of students in both categories with a mean of 2.84. Indicators of designing/planning learning are also in a good category with an average of 2.94. The indicators in implementing learning in the category are very good with an average of 3.28. The evaluation indicators of learning outcomes are in the good category with a good average and the last indicator for the development of students is in the good category with an average of 3.14. The average pedagogical ability of MGMP Teachers in Economics in Padang City is in a good category.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of service quality and image of the cooperative to cooperative member participation in koperasi Plasma Sawit Bukit Sandiang Tigo Bawan Kab.Agam. The hypotheses were (1) the effect of service quality to the cooperative image,(2) the effect of service quality and  cooperative image to the participation of cooperative members. This research was descriptive associative. The population in this study was a cooperative member of the Koperasi  Plasma Bukit Sandiang Tigo Bawan Kab.Agam, totaling 73 people with the sampling technique was Proportional random sampling. The technique of data analysis was descriptive analysis, classical assumption test: test for normality and homogeneity, path analysis, and hypothesis testing using the F test and t test. The results showed that: 1) There was a significant influence on the quality of service to the cooperative's images, 2) There was a significant effect of service quality and cooperative image on the cooperative participation of cooperative members. Based on the above results it can be concluded that in order to increase the participation of cooperative members in Koperasi Plasma Sawit Bukit Sandiang Tigo Kab.Agam suggested to further improve service quality and image of the cooperative

Abstract

Responding to the latest policy set by the Minister of Education and Culture related to the preparation of Learning plans which must include 4C skills in learning activities, however, the readiness and skills of teachers in designing lessons that contain these 4C skills, from planning, implementation and evaluation are still lacking. Based on these problems, it is important for teachers to get training related to the 4C skills, in order to form a generation that has competencies that are able to compete in the future, therefore the community service team carries out community service activities with the methods or approaches used in community service. this community is training with integrated guidance consisting of offline activities, online activities and assignment activities. This activity was attended by 20 Economics teachers in Payakumbuh City which was equivalent to 32 hours of training in 3 months of implementation. This community service activity was carried out well with increasing teacher competence in designing economic learning plans based on 4C learning skills
