Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the teaching and learning process through an online system is one option that can deal with barriers to the teaching and learning process directly to avoid the spread of the virus. This study intends to analyze students’responses to the problems they face during the Covid-19 pandemic and how students deal with online learning during the pandemic. The background of this research is the experience of students with the problems they face during distance learning or online due to Covid-19 which requires students to follow government rules, namely doing distance learning or online. The informants or respondents in this study were several students majoring in . The data collected by the researcher was based on online interviews conducted with 15 students The data analysis used interactive analysis technique by Miles Hubberman. The researcher arranges several questions that must be asked of the participants to obtain the required information. In the online teaching and learning process during the covid-19 pandemic, various problems experienced by students are as follows, the most dominant problem when carrying out online learning is the limited internet network, especially for students who live in rural areas.

Abstract

This article aims to determine the source of school income Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Foundation. This research seeks to explain how the source of school income for the Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Foundation is. The method used in this research is qualitative. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation study techniques to obtain valid data about the source of school income. This research was conducted at MTs Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah which is located on Jl. Sheikh M. Yusuf, Tanjung Pura District. The results of the study indicate that the sources of school income at the Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Foundation are divided into three, namely school income from the government, school income from students' parents, and income from independent school businesses obtained from several activities such as the management of the school canteen so that the sales or rental income where the sale will be collected so that it becomes a source of income. Then the management of school cooperatives and the rental of school-owned buildings and facilities which of course can become income for the foundation itself.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of character education management in madrasas, from aspects of planning, organizing, implementing, to controlling/supervising. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive study method. The informants in the study included the head of the madrasa, deputy head of the madrasa, the teacher council, the madrasa administration section and students. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation, and document studies. Then, it is analyzed by sorting the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of character education management in madrasas has been carried out well in madrasas. This is a joint effort of the madrasa leadership in collaboration with the teacher council, homeroom teacher, guidance and counseling teachers in monitoring the development of student character. The concrete forms of implementation, namely (1) planning aspects, are implemented through the internalization of character values in the learning curriculum that refers to the vision, mission, and goals of the madrasa; (2) the organizing aspect, in the form of division of tasks and the provision of SK from the madrasa leadership to teachers and extracurricular trainers according to the development of students' interests and talents; (3) implementation aspects, in the form of learning activities in the classroom and outside the classroom based on the integration of character values, as well as extracurricular activities in the form of developing the potential of students based on the madrasa climate with character and displaying the features of the teacher's role model for students; and (4) aspects of control/supervision, cooperation between internal and external parties of the madrasa (surrounding community) in monitoring the development of student character, both in class and outside the classroom.

Abstract

In general, this study aims to describe (1) the recruitment process used by MAN 1 Medan in the acceptance of new prospective students in (2) the selection process used by MAN 1 Medan in the acceptance of new students (3) the obstacles faced in the recruitment process and selection of prospective new students at MAN 1 Medan (4) efforts made so that the process of recruiting and selecting prospective new students runs effectively and efficiently at MAN 1 Medan. This study uses qualitative research with a phenomenological method approach. The subjects of this study were the Principal, members of the PPDB committee and Student WKM. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model. Data validity techniques with credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The results of the study show the following: (1) The recruitment and selection process includes the formation of a committee, notification of information regarding PPDB has been opened through banners, brochures etc., online registration by attaching the specified files, announcement of file selection, selection of academic tests, selection of Al reading tests -Qur'an and worship practices, announcement of selection graduation, and re-registration. (2) the selection process used includes file selection, academic test selection and selection of tests for reading the Qur'an and worship practices (3) the obstacles that occur during the recruitment and selection process using the online system do not have a big impact. Only small obstacles can then be overcome by the school. (4) The efforts made by the school can minimize obstacles and make the implementation of recruitment and selection run effectively and efficiently. Based on the research, it can be concluded that the recruitment and selection strategy used by Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan in T.P 2019/2020 is file registration, then academic test selection and selection of Al-Qur'an reading tests and worship practices using the online system as a whole in the process.Recruitment and Selection Strategy, New Students, Quality of Education

Abstract

This article aims to discuss people's behavior in dealing with the Corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic. Many people do not follow the government's advice to stay at home. The research method used in this study is a literature study with a descriptive analysis approach. The behavior of the community, especially in the Balai Jaya Kota sub-district, who does not care and does not listen to the appeal from the government will lead to an even greater spread of the Covid-19virus. Not only that, some of the village community are reluctant to accept masks from KKN students who are carrying out activities in Balai Jaya Village, Rokan Hilir District, Riau. The results of this study indicate that the behavior of the community in Balai Jaya Kota Village, Balai Jaya District, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau still does not believe in the existence of the Covid-19virus and refuses to distribute masks.

Abstract

Plurality, diversity, and variation as well as public and cultural multiform in the international arena, especially in the very pluralistic Indonesian society, is a reality of necessity. Plurality and diversity have led to negative excesses and critical risks recently including collisions. Public and local culture in various places in Indonesia. Therefore it is important to anticipate, among others, the reliability of strong Human Resources (HR). Implementation of the development of various sectors such as the nature of resources, material and financial will not provide optimal implications for improving welfare, if it is not supported by adequate availability of reliable human resources, both in quality and quantity. The greatness of HR is not only in the concept but how to implement it properly and correctly. The data used is qualitative. This study references and explores relevant literacy, in nature to analyze the data the method used is to reduce data, present data, and conclude and examine research results on an ongoing basis in the research process. The research results show that; The progress achieved by a nation is supported by qualified human resources. HR development is principally directed towards increasing the participation and implementation of HR, which in turn will increase performance productivity. The world of academia, in carrying out multicultural education, must have a strong and qualified foundation, especially in the field of human resources, is no exception.

Abstract

Masjid Al-Osmani merupakan bangunan masjid tua di Kota Medan. Nilai sejarah yang dimiliki bangunan masjid ini sangat besar sehingga bangunan masjid ini dikatakan sebagai ikon bangunan masjid di Kota Medan. Selain dari nilai sejarah dari bangunan masjid tersebut, Gaya Arsitektur bangunan Masjid Al-Osmani memiliki penerapan Budaya Melayu yang merupakan kebudayaan asli setempat dengan kebudayaan asing yang meliputi Budaya China, Budaya Arab, Budaya India, dan Eropa yang menjadikan pusat perhatian yang menarik untuk dikemukakan. Sejarah pendidikan di Masjid Al- Osmani, di masa Sultan Osman beserta Sultan Mahmud. Pendidikan agama yang diberikan pada saat itu diadakan pengajian-pengajian, TaSAWuf, Fiqih kemudian tauhid. Keberadaan Masjid Al-Osmani merupakan bukti toleransi antar umat beragama di Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan dengan cara mengidentifikasi secara deskriptif bagaimana bentuk bagian- bagian bangunan masjid dan ornamen yang terdapat pada bangunan masjid. Data-data yang diperlukan didapatkan melalui observasi lapangan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui sejarah bangunan. Masjid Al-Osmani di Kota Medan dan pengaruh gaya arsitektur Budaya Melayu, Budaya China, Dan Budaya Arab pada Masjid Al-Osmani. Dan hasilnya dapat diketahui melalui unsur-unsur arsitekturnya yang melekat di bangunan masjid tersebut yang dapat dijadikan identitas kota.

Abstract

Masjid Raya Al-Haji Muhammad Syah adalah salah satu peninggalan peradaban sejarah di Labura yang di dirikan oleh kolonial Belanda pada masa dahulu. Keberadaan Masjid Al-Haji Muhammad Syah memberikan bukti peninggalan sejarah pada masa penjajahan di Indonesia, memberikan contoh bahwa bangun pada masa itu bercorak dan berbentuk seperti ini. Di yakini juga bahwa Masjid ini adalah peninggalan sejarah yang telah di akui keberadaannya oleh Kadiskominfo Labura, dan untuk mengetahui Masjid Al-Haji Muhammad Syah ini secara mendalam. Penelitian ini memberikan hasil yang dituju yaitu: mengetahui sejarah mulai dari pembangunan hingga berdiri sampai saat ini, mendapat jawaban atas pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang timbul dari setiap individu, pengenalan sejarah secara mendalam mulai dari detail bangunan hingga peradabannya pada masa itu. Masjid Al-Haji Muhammad Syah ini memiliki keterkaitan dengan Masjid Azizi yang ada di Langkat kedua Masjid ini hampir memiliki desain yang sama pada bangunannya, dikarenakan Raja dengan anak Raja Muhammad Syah menikah dan menginginkan bangunan Masjid yang sama seperti Masjid Azizi yang ada di Langkat. Pemerintahan pada kerajaan Sultan Al-Haji Muhammad Syah menganut sistem monarki yang mana Raja menjabat secara turun-temurun.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manajemen kepala Madrasah dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum tahun 2013 di Kabupaten Mandailing Natal meliputi: Perencanaan, Pengorganisasian, Pelaksanaan dan pengawasan yang dilakukan kepala Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum tahun 2013 di kabupaten Mandailing Natal. Penelitian yang dilakukan ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Tehnik pengumpulan data melalui teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perencanaan kepala madrasah tsanawiyah negeri dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum tahun 2013 di kabupaten Mandailing Natal dengan merencanakan beberapa kegiatan strategis agar terlaksanakannya kurikulum 2013 secara efektif dan efisien. Adapaun kegiatan di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Mandailing Natal melakukan kegiatan a) Pelatihan penerapan kurikulum 2013 (K13), b) Pengembangan kurikulum, c) Pembuatan RPP untuk satu Tahun Pelajaran, dan d) Menentukan Kompetensi Dasar dan Lulusan. Sedangkan kegiatan yang direncanakan, diorganisasikan, dilaksanakan dan diawasi di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 3 Mandailing Natal adalah a) Penentuan Tujuan Pendidikan di Madrasah, b) Perumusan Disiplin dan Sanksi Terikat Peraturan Madrasah Terfokus Perihal Penerapan Kurikulum 2013 (K13) dan c) Pengembangan kurikulum. Simpulan dari penelitian ini, bahwa manajamen kepala madrasah dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum 2013 di Kabupaten Mandailing Natal melakukan beberapa hal yaitu; a) Pelatihan penerapan kurikulum 2013 (K13), b) Pengembangan kurikulum, c) Pembuatan RPP untuk satu Tahun Pelajaran, dan d) Menentukan Kompetensi Dasar dan Lulusan. Abstract

This study examines the recurring conflicts in the financial management of higher education in Indonesia, characterized by disparities in budget allocation needs and interests, unjust and misdirected budget distribution, and misappropriation of funds. It aims to investigate leadership strategies for resolving these conflicts to ensure precise and efficient financial management. Employing a qualitative-phenomenological approach through case studies, this research centers on financing issues at state Islamic universities with BLU status. Data were collected via interviews, observations, and documentary analysis, employing Miles and Huberman’s methodology of data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Findings indicate the necessity of strategic conflict resolution to mitigate adverse impacts on higher education development. Effective conflict management, as shown, involves a leader’s ability to maintain a constructive outlook, recognize the potential benefits of conflicts, and adopt a decisive approach. By refining goals, enhancing communication, and improving procedures, conflicts can be transformed into productive elements of organizational dynamics.
