Abstract

Recently, the word "Anjay" which we often hear in circles has generated controversy. This incident started with a well-known YouTuber, Lutfi Agizal, who took issue with this word in one of the content he made, so that it finally went viral in the media. The pros and cons of society continue to emerge, giving rise to a very serious debate. According to Lutfi, the word "Anjay" is considered to have a dirty meaning. This is because the word is a play on the word "dog" which is often used to denigrate someone's dignity. The problem is whether the word reflects this meaning if it is not used with bad intentions. With a descriptive qualitative approach and the view of Public Space by Jurgen Habermas, the researcher tries to analyze this phenomenon so that a middle point can be found regarding good language in communicating on social media. This is intended so that the interaction and communication that takes place on social media can run well, and avoid conflicts due to differences in language interpretation

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia, it had an impact on various fields, including education. The learning process was initially carried out face-to-face but expertly online (online). This study aims to determine the positive and negative impact of online learning in the Indonesian education system after the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research uses a qualitative literature study. The results showed that there were negative impacts, namely, lack of understanding of the material, lack of socialization, quickly spending internet quota, declining eye health, and difficulty in doing group assignments. And there are positive impacts, namely, having a lot of family time, getting help from the government in the form of free internet quotas, making students active and independent. It is concluded that the implementation of online learning has several negative and positive impacts.

Abstract

People with disabilities have equal rights in life, one of which is to take education. As a group that is vulnerable to injustice, family support as the closest person has an important role in the survival of people with disabilities. The government, community, and family should provide support and opportunities for people with disabilities to go to school in order to create independence for them. But in reality, there are still many people with disabilities who do not get access and support for education. Therefore, this study aims to explore forms of social support for families with disabilities in open access to education, by conducting case studies on families of people with physical disabilities. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study found that there were five forms of family social support, especially parents for people with physical disabilities in Labang District in health education, namely support in instrumental aspects, informational aspects, emotional aspects, aspects of support for self-esteem, and network aspects.

Abstract

Violent behavior committed by seniors to juniors in educational circles is still found in many schools and universities. Cases of violence committed by seniors to juniors have generated a lot of attention because cases of violence used by seniors to juniors still exist. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to see what factors are behind violent behavior in seniority in the educational environment. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. As for data collection, namely through literature studies from various journals, books and websites that are in accordance with the topics discussed. The results showed that the factors that cause violent behavior in seniority still exist, namely the lack of social control from the three educational environments, namely family, school, and society. To be able to eliminate violence in seniors, it requires the cooperation of the three educational environments to exercise social control in adolescent behavior in the educational environment. Abstract

Mendapatkan pendidikan di sekolah merupakan hak bagi semua anak bangsa, termasuk penyandang disabilitas. Namun, beberapa survei membuktikan bahwa penyandang disabilitas masih rentan terhadap kesenjangan dalam memperoleh pendidikan di sekolah umum. Oleh karena itu, banyak penyandang disabilitas yang langsung bergegas masuk ke SLB (Sekolah Luar Biasa), meski beberapa di antaranya mampu memenuhi kriteria kurikulum nasional masuk sekolah umum. Melalui uraian tersebut, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan membongkar konstruksi sosial pendidikan umum bagi penyandang disabilitas yang identik dengan keterbatasan fisik, mental, dan emosionalnya. Penelitian ini dapat dikaji dengan menggunakan teori konstruksi sosial Peter L. Berger. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan realitas subjektif penyandang disabilitas yang langsung dilarikan ke SLB (Sekolah Luar Biasa), karena sulitnya kesempatan mereka dalam menempuh pendidikan di sekolah umum. Alih-alih kurangnya tenaga pendidik, fasilitas, dan juga tindakan bullying, yang menjadikan eksternalisasi hambatan bagi penyandang disabilitas dalam memasuki pendidikan di sekolah umum. Dengan demikian, penyandang disabilitas menginternalisasi bahwa SLB (Sekolah Luar Biasa) lebih aman, dan jauh dari risiko bullying dan diskriminasi dibandingkan sekolah umum.

Abstract

Kenakalan remaja adalah gejala patologis remaja yang disebabkan oleh salah satu bentuk pengabaian sosial. Kenakalan remaja secara mayoritas dilakukan karena pelaku tidak dapat mengontrol emosi mereka secara baik. Kenakalan remaja juga menjadi salah satu bentuk konflik yang tidak dapat diselesaikan dengan baik oleh pihak yang terlibat. Kenakalan pelajar merupakan bentuk perilaku yang menyimpang yang dilakukan oleh pelajar, seperti tawuran dengan teman sendiri, tawuran dengan pelajar dari sekolah lain, atau bahkan hingga tawuran dengan guru mereka sendiri. Hal tersebut merupakan salah satu masalah serius yang harus segera ditangani dan dikontrol oleh pihak dinas pendidikan setempat, pihak sekolah dan pihak wali murid. Berdasar data yang berhasil dihimpun KPAI, tren kekerasan pada tahun 2011 hingga tahun 2018 cenderung meningkat. Pada tahun 2018 tercatat sebanyak 127 kasus kekerasan pada remaja. Meskipun jumlah penambahan kasus dibanding pada tahun 2017 hanya sekitar 11 kasus, maka jika terus menerus dibiarkan akan semakin banyak kasus serupa di Indonesia.

Abstract

This article discusses the symbiotic relationship of mutualism between mass media andterrorism. Whether we realize it or not, acts of terrorism in the homeland are still interestingand economically valuable news material in front of the mass media. On the other hand, onthe part of terrorists, the news about terrorist acts actually becomes a strategic campaignarea to show their existence. The research uses a qualitative approach to narrative analysismethod. The results of the study are www.okezone.com and www.tribunnews.com placingthe terror terror events in Medan Mapolrestabes as interesting and economically valuablenews material. The style of the news flow is arranged with a choice of tense, dramatic andsensational nuances of words. In addition, the display of photo and video illustrationsshortly after the explosion also aims to display as if the news of the explosion event is true,not engineering, objective and valid. The combination technique of choice of words, storyline, placement techniques and the size of photos and videos all aim to make the emotions ofthe reader participate dissolved in a tense situation as the situation at the scene of theexplosion. The practice of compiling this kind of news flow is called, as Jean Baudrillard'spractice of simulation. The practice of simulation through the practice of compiling newslines and the touch of visual image technology will eventually create conditions ofhyperreality. Namely the conditions between reality will be mixed with the pseudo so it isdifficult to distinguish which is original and fake. Next, the airing of a list of victims ofunknown origin will actually give birth, as Pierre Bourdie calls it symbolic violence. That is,the practice of violent symbols aimed no longer at the physical target but rather consciousthoughts. Symbolic violence in the appearance of the victim list really has the potential tocreate traumatic feelings towards the families of the victims.

Abstract

Communication and transmission of information have a major role in human life. The presence of barriers caused by limited information and sign language skills can create gaps and communication failures. As a result, people with disabilities and speech often experience lag in their environment. This paper uses qualitative research methods, with literature study techniques. Overall, the integration of sign language into the curriculum will enable the development of a deaf culture. Applying sign language in a formal educational environment benefits both individuals with disabilities and individuals without disabilities.

Abstract

All humans are obliged to be educated. The objective of the subject of education is to improve the quality of oneself in order to become a complete person. In achieving that goal, education has tools to support its smooth running. One of the educational tools punishment which is punishment, has a profound impact on learners. The punishment in education is the punishment given to the learner aimed at edifying the offending learner. After the sentencing, the impact of the learner, the impact of each learner varied, to which in the study, researchers tried to dig up information on the impact of the punishment on the learner by using literature and secondary data, that is, data from previously existing sources such as journal articles, books, and scripts. Then the data was qualitatively analyzed using the miles and hubermans' methods. Analysis has resulted in some effect on learners. Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari keresahan dari pemberitaan korban bencana gempa dan tsunami di Kota Palu dan Kabupaten Gorontalo yang sangat mendramatisir derita korban bencana gempa. Teori yang diadaptasi dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Kekerasan Simbolik (Symbolic Violence) yang dikemukakan Pierre Bourdiue. Metode penelitian penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Analisis data yang diadaptasi dalam penelitian adalah analisis framing model Robert Entman. Unit analisis yang dikaji adalah teks berita online yang ditampilkan www.suara.com dan www.serambinews.com. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan terdapat praktik komodifikasi derita korban bencana pada kedua media massa tersebut. Praktik komodifikasi diwujudkan melalui gaya pemberitaan yang bombastis dan sensasional. Penayangan gambar korban meninggal yang vulgar dan penggunaan kata-kata yang mampu menambah kesedihan korban justru ditonjolkan. Praktik semacam ini justru menandakan jurnalis dalam menulis berita hanya memakaki logika komersil saja. Sementara pemberitaan yang bermuatan ajakan untuk berempati kepada kondisi korban justru minim.
