Abstract

This quasi experimental research aims to know the influence of cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) towards students’ interest and the value of mathematics learning outcomes, a case study in 8th grade students of even semester Junior High School State 3 Bandar Lampung in Academic Years 2012/2013. A population of this research is all 8th grade students of Junior High School State 3 Bandar Lampung in Academic Years 2012/2013 that is distributed into seven classes. The samples are two classes that are obtained by using purposive sampling technique. Based on hypothesis testing results, it is concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model type NHT has influence towards students’ interest and the value of mathematics learning outcomes . It is showed that students’ interest and the value of mathematics learning outcomes in cooperative learning model type NHT is higher than students’ interest and the value of mathematics learning outcomes in conventional learning.Keywords: NHT, interest, learning outcomes

Abstract

The aim of this research was to compare the increasing of students mathematical representation skills after implementation of contextual learning and students mathematical representation skills after implementation of conventional learning. The design was pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade VIII in SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2016/2017 that were distributed into four class. The samples of this research were students of VIII-A and VIII-C classes which were chosen by cluster random sampling technique. Analysis data of the research using t-test. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the increasing of students mathematical representation skills after implementation of contextual learning higher than students mathematical representation skills after implementation of conventional learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran kontekstual dan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi pada penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandarlampung Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017 yang terdistribusi dalam empat kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-A dan VIII-C yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji-t . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran kontekstual lebih tinggi daripada peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci: Kemampuan Representasi Matematis, Pembelajaran Kontekstual

Abstract

This research aimed to describe studentss mathematical representation disposition on learning by Socrates methode in scientific approach. Subjects of this research were students of class VII-B of Junior High School 1 Natar in academic year of 2016/2017. Data of this research was qualitative data about studentss mathematical representation disposition description. The qualitative data of this research was about students mathematical representation disposition which were gotten by interview, field note, and documentation. The technique of data analysis used three stages, which were reducting, displaying, and getting the conlusion of data. Based on the research, it was concluded that application of the Socrates methode on the students of VII-B class of SMPN 1 Natar in academic year of 2016/2017 can bring out the mathematical representation disposition of students and the indicator of representation disposition understanding which appeared dominantly in Socrates methode was curiosity and confidence in thinking.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan disposisi representasi matematis siswa pada pembelajaran dengan metode Socrates dalam pendekatan saintifik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-B SMP Negeri 1 Natar tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Data penelitian ini merupakan data kualitatif tentang deskripsi disposisi representasi matematis siswa. Data penelitian ini merupakan data kualitatif mengenai disposisi representasi matematis siswa yang diperoleh melalui wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan tiga tahapan, yaitu reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan terhadap data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan metode socrates pada siswa kelas VII-B SMPN 1 Natar tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 dapat memunculkan disposisi representasi matematis pada siswa dan indikator disposisi representasi matematis pada siswa yang dominan muncul pada pembelajaran dengan metode socrates adalah rasa ingin tahu dan kepercayaan diri dalam berpikirKata kunci: disposisi representasi matematis, metode socrates, pendekatan saintifik.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the effectiveness of discovery learning method assessed from students' ability toward the mathematical problem solving. In this research by using Post test only group control design was administered to obtain the data. The population of this research was the second year students of SMP Negeri 9 in the academic year of 2016/ 2017 by applying total sampling technique, 2 classes were taken as the samples of this research. Analysis data of this research used Mann Whitney-u test Based on this research,it could be concluded that discovery learning method was not effective assessed from students' ability toward mathematical problem solvingPenelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran discovery ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan posttest only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas SMP Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Melalui teknik sampling jenuh kelas diambil sebagai sampel. Abstract

This researchaimed to know the effectiveness ofAuditory, Intellectually, RepetitionLearning in terms students understanding of Mathematical concepts. This research used one group pretest-posttest desain with population wasstudents of grade VII in SMP Global Madani Bandarlampung. The samples of this research was students of VIII/3class which were chosen by purposive sampling technique. Research data of students understanding of Mathematical concepts obtained through the test.The result of data analised by Wilcoxon test and Binomial Sign Test showed that Auditory, Intellectually, RepetitionLearning Model was effective in terms students understanding of Mathematical concepts.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran auditory, intellectually, repetition (AIR) ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttest dengan populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Global Madani Bandarlampung. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VII/3 yang dipilih dengan teknik purposivesampling. Data kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa diperoleh melalui tes. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan uji Tanda Binomial menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran AIR efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: auditory intellectually repetition, efektivitas, pemahaman konsep matematis

Analysis data of this research used t-test. Abstract

This is quasi-experimental research that aims for knowing the effectiveness of the implementation of guided discovery method towards of  student’s mathematical conceptual  understanding. The research design is posttets only control group design. The research population was all student of 8th grade class of SMPN 1 Katibung academic year 2012/2013 and the sample of this research are class VIII B and VIII D with choosen by purposive sampling. Based on the data analysis, it is found that student’s mathematical conceptual understanding  average and student’s learning completeness in guided discovery learning method is higher than conventional learning. The conclusion is guided discovery learning method  is more effective than conventional learning towards of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding.Key words: effectivity, guided discovery, mathematical concept understanding.

Abstract

This quasi-experimental research aims to find out the effectiveness of Jigsaw cooperative learning model considered by student’s mathematical problem solving ability. The population of this research is eighth grade students in second semester of Junior High School State 13 Bandar Lampung in 2012/2013 academic years and as the samples are VIII.A and VIII.C, that are selected from eleven classes by using purposive sampling technique. Based on the analysis of the student’s mathematical problem solving ability, it is known that the ability of student’s mathematical problem solving with Jigsaw cooperative learning model is better than the ability of student’s mathematical problem solving with conventional learning, and also 65% or more students who are taught by Jigsaw cooperative learning model have achieved KKM. The conclusion from this research is Jigsaw cooperative learning model effective considered by student’s mathematical problem solving ability in eighth grade students of even semester Junior High School State 13 Bandar Lampung in 2012/2013 academic years. Keywords: Jigsaw, Problem Solving

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to analyze the increasing of student’s mathematical communication ability who learn with TAPPS learning method compared conventional learning. The population was eighth grade students of junior high school state 8 Bandar Lampung in academic years 2012/2013. The samples were students of VIII B and VIII C class that chosen from eight classes by purposive random sampling. The conclusion was the average of increasing of student’s mathematical communication ability in TAPPS learning method was same as average of increasing of student’s mathematical communication ability in conventional learning.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode TAPPS dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa pada kelas VIIIB dan VIIIC yang dipilih dari delapan kelas dengan cara purposive random sampling. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode TAPPS sama dengan rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematis, metode pembelajaran, TAPPS

Abstract

This quasi-experimental research aims to know the influence of group investigation learning method towards student’s mathematics problem solving ability. The populations in this research are all students in 8th Grade of SMPN 1 Pringsewu in the academic year 2012/2013, consisting of 196 students which distributed to five classes with the average of value cognitive ability was 67,24. The sample of this research are two classes from five classes that choosed by purposive sampling technique. The design research is posttest only control grup design. The data research were gotten through test of problem solving ability. Based on the result of research, it was concluded that group investigation learning method influences towards student’s mathematics problem solving ability.Keywords:  group investigation learning method, mathematics problem solving ability.
