Abstract

This study has the aim of analyzing student learning outcomes after being taught by using a brain based learning model and analyzing the influence/impact of brain based learning on student learning outcomes. This research is a true experimental posttest only control design, which consists of a control class of 34 students and an experimental class of 34 students. The independent variable of this research is the brain based learning model, while the dependent variable is the physics learning outcome. The research instrument used the form of multiple choice tests on static fluid material as many as 25 questions. The data analysis technique used consisted of descriptive analysis and inferential analysis, namely the t test using the SPSS 24 application, but previously the initial assumption test was carried out as a normality test and homogeneity as a t test requirement. If the initial assumption test results do not meet, then non-parametric analysis will be used. The results of descriptive analysis can be stated that the average score of students' physics learning outcomes with brain based learning as a learning model is higher than in conventional classes or classes that do not use brain based learning. The high results of student learning in classes with brain based learning are due to the influence/impact of learning by using this model. This research can give results that there is an influence/impact of brain based learning as a learning model on physics learning outcomes. Students optimize their brain work if they use a brain based learning model so that physics learning outcomes increase.

Abstract

The type of research used in this research is Pre-Experimental Designs research. The objectives of this research are: 1) To describe the learning outcomes of students in class X MIPA at SMA Negeri 5 Bone before and after the implementation of online learning with the educational game Quizizz in learning; 2) Describe the improvement in learning outcomes of students in class X MIPA at SMA Negeri 5 Bone before and after the implementation of online learning using the Quizizz educational game in learning. The samples in this study were students of class X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 5 Bone which consisted of 31 students. The data collection technique used in collecting data in this study was by means of a test consisting of a pretest and posttest in the form of multiple choices. The results of the descriptive analysis in this study showed that the scores obtained by students in the posttest were much higher than the scores obtained in the pretest. Where the average score in the pretest is 13.42 with a standard deviation of 4.20, while in the posttest the average score obtained by students is 23.98 with a standard deviation of 4.70. So there is an increase in student learning outcomes before and after being taught by applying the Quizizz educational game, where the increase is in the moderate category.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that physics learning content based on mobile learning can be accessed widely and most students have cellphones, but it has not been widely used to increase student enthusiasm in learning physics. Physics Learning Media Based on Mobile Learning is an effort to solve this problem. One of them is by Development of Physics Learning Media-Based Mobile Learning Using Adobe Flash CS6. This study aimed to determine the development of learning media products based on mobile learning using adobe flash CS6 and to examine the the feasibility of learning media based on mobile learning using Adobe Flash CS6 at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. This type of research was a research and development starting from the defining stage (define), the design stage (design), and the development stage (develop). This mobile learning-based physics learning media was tested for validity by 2 experts of media, and tested for its effectiveness by 33 students. The results achieved were the m-learning media products that used the adobe flash CS6 application with validity criteria that were relevant, consistent and have practical usability, as well as effective implementation. Abstract

Various types of plants in the surrounding environment that have medicinal properties are many that can be obtained and utilized, and can even be planted themselves, which are known as family medicinal plants. This medicinal plant has begun to be widely studied, especially Indonesian Native Medicinal Plants, because it has relatively small side effects when compared to modern medical drugs. Communities in Pattallassang District generally have various types of medicinal plants that are planted in their yards and are often used as alternative treatments for certain types of diseases or as supplements, one example being breastfeeding boosters, which are very much needed by mothers in carrying out their activities. exclusive breastfeeding program. To support the exclusive breastfeeding program, various efforts must be made, one of which is the use of breastfeeding boosters, which is expected to help increase the production of breast milk. The purpose of the community service activity is to increase understanding of the importance of exclusive breastfeeding and to provide education about the use of several plants that have the potential as breastfeeding boosters in terms of processing techniques and more rational ways of using them. This service is carried out at Merpati Posyandu, Pattallassang Village, Pattallassang District, Takalar Regency. The method of providing community service activities is by providing counseling and demonstrations on how to process and manufacture good traditional medicines. The results of the activity assessment showed that participants gained knowledge about the types of traditional medicines, especially breastfeeding boosters, along with good processing and manufacturing methods of traditional medicines.

Abstract

Demam berdarah Dengue (DBD) merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus Dengue dan ditularkan oleh nyamuk Aedes aegypti dan Aedes albopictus. Penyakit DBD ini erat sekali hubungannya dengan masalah kebersihan lingkungan. Metode penanggulangan yang banyak diterapkan saat ini adalah tindakan pencegahan antara lain program pengendalian vektor. Jumlah kasus DBD baik secara nasional maupun di lingkup Kabupaten Gowa yang masih tinggi. Pencegahan penyakit DBD yang dapat dilakukan secara rutin dan telah direkomendasikan oleh WHO adalah Pemberantasan Sarang Nnyamuk 3M plus. Adapun rincian 3M tersebut terdiri dari menguras tempat penampungan air, menutup tempat penampungan air, dan mengubur barang-barang bekas yang dapat menjadi tempat penampungan air, sedangkan yang dimaksud dengan plus adalah menaburkan bubuk larvasida, menggunakan obat nyamuk, menggunakan kelambu saat tidur, memelihara ikan pemakan jentik nyamuk, menanam tanaman pengusir nyamuk, mengatur cahaya dan ventilasi dalam rumah, menghindari kebiasaan menggantung pakaian di dalam rumah. Perilaku PSN 3M plus ini dilaksanakan masyarakat 1 kali dalam seminggu di masing-masing rumah, lalu untuk daerah yang lebih luas / lapangan dilaksanakan kerja bakti 1 kali sebulan untuk memberantas sarang nyamuk demam berdarah. Evaluasi akhir dilakukan untuk mengetahui manfaat kegiatan penyuluhan yaitu mitra mampu melaksanakan kegiatan yang telah diikuti dengan menghitung persentase mitra yang mampu melaksanakan pengendalian vektor DBD melalui PSN 3M Plus secara berkelanjutan, serta mampu menerapkan ilmu yang didapat dalam penyluhan ini, baik dilingkungan umum maupun di lingkungan tempat tinggal masing-masing.

Abstract

Assessment of practicum activities must encompass all aspects of scientific practices. Observations in this research indicate that the assessment utilized by the Physics Education Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar for practicum activities is an Authentic Assessment consisting of three assessment components: response, practicum activities, and report. This assessment is the result of development by one of the lecturers who taught courses integrated with practicum activities in 2015, and its implementation began in 2016. Using authentic assessment instruments in the form of worksheet, this study aims to assess the scientific practice skills of students enrolled in Basic Physics practicum. This research employed quantitative descriptive research. Thirteen first-semester students in the academic year 2022/2023 participated as the research subject. The results demonstrate that the assessment conducted using authentic assessment in practicum activities did not encompass all indicators of scientific practice skills. The authentic assessment did not include three of the eight indicators of scientific practice skills, namely the ability to ask questions, develop and use a model, and discover, evaluate, and communicate data findings. Therefore, it is necessary to utilize specialized assessment to measure the effectiveness of scientific practices, such as scientific practices assessment instruments.

Abstract

Abstract Previous research has developed digital assessments in basic physics courses. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of implementing Kahoot-based digital assessments in Basic Physics courses at a private university in Makassar. This research is a pre-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design in one experimental class. The research sample is a saturated sample with 13 students as respondents. This study tested three types of questions, namely quiz, true-false, and multiple choice. The results of the data analysis show that the mean value for the pretest is 54.46 and the posttest is 85.87. In addition, an increase (n-gain) value of 0.68 was obtained in the medium category. The n-gain percentage value is 68.06 which means the effectiveness of the instrument is in the fairly effective category. Testing the pretest and posttest scores for each type of question shows an increase in learning outcomes for the type of question being tested. The pretest and posttest results for the three types of questions are presented in the form of a frequency distribution graph. After obtaining data on the effectiveness of using the Kahoot-based digital basic physics assessment, it is further suggested to test the practicality of the Kahoot-based basic physics assessment developed.Keywords Learning assessment, basic physics, Kahoot application.Abstrak Penelitian sebelumnya telah mengembangkan asesmen digital pada perkuliahan fisika dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur efektifitas penerapan asesmen digital berbasis kahoot pada perkuliahan Fisika Dasar di salah satu Universitas swasta di Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan pra eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest pada satu kelas eksperimen. Sampel penelitian adalah sampel jenuh dengan jumlah responden 13 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini mengujikan tiga jenis soal yaitu jenis kuis, benar-salah, dan pilihan ganda. Hasil analisis data memperlihatkan rekapitulasi nilai mean untuk pretest 54,46 dan posttest 85,87. Selain itu, diperoleh juga nilai peningkatan (n-gain) sebesar 0,68 berada pada kategori sedang. Nilai persentasi n-gain sebesar 68,06 yang berarti efektifitas instrumen berada pada kategori cukup efektif. Pengujian nilai pretest dan postest untuk masing-masing jenis soal memperlihatkan peningkatan hasil belajaruntuk jenis soal yang diujikan. Hasil pretest dan posttest untuk ketiga jenis soal tersebut disajikan dalam bentuk grafik distribusi frekuensi. Abstract

The problem in this research is how to apply the KWL (Knowing, Wanting, Learning) strategy to the reading comprehension skills of fifth grade students at SDN Pacinonggang Unggulan, Gowa Regency. This research aims to determine the effect of the KWL Strategy (Knowing, Wanting, Learning) on ​​the reading comprehension skills of class V at the superior Pacciongang Elementary School, Gowa Regency. The type of research used is an experiment in the form of a design experiment using a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this research was 25 class V students at SDN Pacciongang Unggulan Gowa Regency. Data collection was carried out using the results of the written assessment results. The data obtained was then explained using statistical analysis techniques, namely descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. After analyzing the data, the author found that student learning outcomes before using the outdoor learning learning method were relatively low, namely the average value of the Pretest results was 1,218, then the average value Posttest result is 1.984. After obtaining Tcount 10.5648 and Ttable 2.06390, we get tCount > tTable or 10, 5648 > 2.06390. Based on the results of tCount and tTable, it can be concluded that the use of the KWL (Know, Want, Learned) strategy on class students' reading comprehension ability V Pacciongang Primary School, Gowa Regency.

Abstract

SMA Negeri 5 Bone merupakan salah satu sekolah yang menerapkan pembelajaran fisika melalui daring di tengah maraknya wabah covid-19. Untuk menarik minat siswa dalam pembelajaran fisika, maka dibutuhkan alternatif pembelajaran yang mampu menjadikan pembelajaran fisika menjadi pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Salah satunya adalah menggunakan layanan aplikasi yang sudah disediakan oleh pihak ketiga yaitu aplikasi Quizizz yang dapat digunakan oleh pendidik untuk membuat pembelajaran fisika lebih menarik dimata peserta didik. Quizizz merupakan sebuah web-tool untuk membuat permainan kuis interaktif yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran yang dapat diakses secara luas oleh peserta didik tanpa harus bertatap muka langsung. Quizizz juga dapat memberikan data dan statistik tentang kinerja peserta didik. Pendidik dapat melacak berapa peserta didik yang menjawab pertanyaan yang telah dibuat. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian Pre-Experimental Designs. Instrumen penelitian adalah alat atau fasilitas yang digunakan peneliti dalam mengumpulkan data. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen yaitu berupa tes hasil belajar. Untuk mengukur hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Bone, peneliti menggunakan instrumen berupa multiple chice (pilihan ganda), di mana jawaban pada masing-masing item berupa lima alternatif pilihan dengan satu jawaban tepat. Sebelum diberikan kepada peserta didik instrumen di analisis terlebih dahulu untuk mengetahui tingkat validitas dan reliabilitas perangkat yang akan digunakan, instrumen tersebut divalidasi oleh dua pakar (ahli), kemudian di analisis dengan menggunakan uji Gregory. Adapun luaran yang ditargetkan yaitu (1) pengetahuan peserta didik dalam penguasaan ilmu fisika serta kemampuan interaktif berbasis internet dalam penggunaan game edukasi quizizz; (2) pengetahuan praktis ilmu fisika yang dimiliki para pendidik dan peserta didik yang akan diperoleh melalu kegiatan penelitian; (3) mengubah paradigma berpikir peserta didik bahwa “Fisika itu Menyenangkan dan Tidak Sulit” melalui game edukasi quizizz
