Abstract

This research aims at developing local instruction theory for learning combinations by using Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). This research uses a design research approach, Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT), developed from a series of activities to obtain a better understanding about combinations at Senior High School (SHS) students. Theoretical development is supported by an interactive process in designing learning activities, conducting teaching experiment and conducting retrospective analysis to contribute to combinations of Local Instruction Theory (LIT). An understanding of combinations emerges and develops during classroom learning activities. Qualitative analysis of teaching experiments shows that by using local instruction theory teaching materials that characterize RME students are able to develop their understanding about a combination.

Abstract

This study aims to determine an increase in the mathematical connection ability of students of class VIII MTs Mathlabul Falah Labuan by using the Probing-prompting learning model based on Islamic values. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental method. Sampling was done by sampling technique saturated with a sample of 40 students from class VIII A as the experiment class and class VIII B as the control class. Based on the results of data analysis, the results show that there are differences in the ability to improve mathematical connections between experimentasl class students and control class students. Abstract

This research is mixed method with concurrent embedded strategy that aims to find out: (1) How the ability of mathematical creative thinking of superior students and asor students ; (2) Iscreative thinking ability of students who learn by learning cognitive conflict better than the conventional learning based on students' pre requisites ability (superior andasor). The population of the research is SMAN CMBBS students, with two classses of class XI IPA as sample. The instruments used in this research are multiple choice mathematics test reasoned and description, teachers and students activity observation sheets, and interview about learning. The data are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively that obtained from pre-test and post-test results and gain normalized. The results show that: (1) The creative thinking ability of superior students and asor students before learning is same; (2) The creative thinking ability of students who learn by learning cognitive conflict is better than the conventional learning based on students' pre requisites ability (superior).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the extent of increasing mathematical understanding ability between students who get the Advance Organizer learning model and students who do not get the Advance Organizer learning model. This research is a quasi experimental design type of non equivalent pretest-postest control group design. The population in this research were students of information systems at the faculty of technology and information by taking a sample of two classes, namely class A as an experimental class and class B as a control class. The research instrument used was a mathematical understanding ability test. Based on the research results, it is known that there are differences of mathematical understanding ability between students who get the Advance Organizer learning model and those who do not get the Advance Organizer learning model. So by using the Advance Organizer learning model, it can improve the ability of mathematical understanding when compared to the learning process that does not use the Advance Organizer model. In addition, the activities and understanding of students in learning reflect the implementation of learning well and students give positive responses, where the learning that is carried out can further enhance students’ motivation and mathematical understanding abilities in solving problems.

Abstract

Universitas Mathla'ul Anwar Banten is one of the university which is located in Pandeglang Regency. It always tries to improve the quality in the service for the society. One of the activities in Mathla’ul Anwar University that has already been done is KKN Posdaya Program. The KKN activity has already been done well, however it needs some improvements in the capacity of the students who are ready to involve themselves in the society. The KKN activity in Mathla'ul Anwar University aims to integrate the education and teaching, research and community service by the students pragmatically, comprehensive dimension through an interdisciplinary approach, comprehensive, and cross-sector. By doing the KKN Activity, it is hoped that the students will be a part of the society that can contribute directly to help the problems in the society. The Approach method for the improvement capacity program of communication and cooperation uses PALS (Participatory Action Learning System) method.

Abstract

STRENGTHENING THE EXAMPLE OF R.A. KARTINI TOWARDS STUDENTS BASED ON THE RESULTS OF THE DISSEMINATION OF GREAT WOMEN INSPIRATIONAL TALKS MATHLA'UL ANWAR. This community service activity aims to provide empowerment to Mathla'ul Anwar University students based on the results of the dissemination of the Mathla'ul Anwar Inspirational Talk activity for Great Women. This activity was held to coincide on April 21, 2021 with the target of students residing in the Mathla'ul Anwar University environment from various majors or study programs. The holding of the Mathla'ul Anwar Inspirational Talk event was a form of appreciation for the role and struggle of Raden Ajeng Kartini in advancing the nation, especially for women whose roles were still limited at that time. By raising the theme of strengthening R.A Kartini's exemplary attitude, it is hoped that R.A Kartini's exemplary attitudes and traits can be transmitted to Indonesian women, especially women in Mathla'ul Anwar University. Through his fighting spirit and attitude, the figure of R.A Kartini can be an inspiration and able to awaken the younger generation to join the spirit and become a creative person.

Abstract

Dalam rangka menyiapkan bangkitnya generasi emas Indonesia tahun 2045, diperlukan pembangunan pendidikan dalam perspektif masa depan yaitu mewujudkan masyarakat Indonesia yang berkualitas, maju, mandiri dan modern, serta meningkatkan harkat dan martabat bangsa. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan potensi kemampuan siswa diantaranya kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis (KBKM). Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang diperlukan pada abad ke-21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah pada materi limit melalui pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek sebanyak tiga orang siswa kelas XI SMK Bismillah Serang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan soal kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SMK Bismillah Serang masih tergolong rendah. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan hanya ada satu siswa yang mampu memenuhi indikator KBKM yaitu indikator elaborasi. Tidak ada satupun siswa yang memenuhi indikator kelancaran (kemahiran), kelenturan dan keaslian. Selain itu, dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika daring guru menggunakan aplikasi online whatsApp. Siswa menyatakan bahwa tidak menyukai pembelajaran matematika daring, siswa juga tidak mau mempelajari materi pembelajaran yang dirasa sulit di luar jam pelajaran, siswa kesulitan dalam memahami materi yang dijelaskan oleh guru. Hal ini juga disebabkan karena kurangnya interaksi edukatif antara guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran, sehingga siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam bertanya kepada guru terkait materi yang dijelaskan.Kata kunci: Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis, limit, pembelajaran daring

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VII A di Mts An-Nahl Cikeusik, Pandeglang, Banten dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada materi himpunan. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif ialah jenis penelitiannya yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 6 orang siswa yang dipilih secara purposive sampling dengan tiga kategori yaitu 2 siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi, 2 siswa berkemampuan sedang, dan 2 siswa berkemampuan rendah. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes tertulis terdiri dari 3 soal uraian, dan wawancara mendalam . Hasil analisis data pada tingkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalahan matematis berdasarkan ketercapaian langkah Polya, siswa yang berkemampuan tinggi telah tercapai targetnya dengan sangat baik,  pada siswa yang berkemampuan sedang belum memiliki kemampuan dengan baik, dan pada siswa yang berkemampuan rendah belum mampu melaksanakan keempat langkah Polya.

Abstract

Abstract This research is a descriptive study that aims to determine students’ problem solving abilites after using the SSCS learning model. The subjects of this study were 25 students of class VIII MTs Persis 72 Gunung Buntung. The learning process is carried out in accordance with the SSCS learning steps. The collection technique used tests and interviews. Based on the research result, it was foud that the percentage of students who had the ability to solve problem very well was 20%, the percentage of students who had good problem solving abilities was 72%, the percentage of students with sufficient problem-solving abilities 8%. Meanwhile, the highest percentage of problem solving ability indikator is identifying the coverage of data to solve the problem of 89,33%. Meanwhile, the lowest percentage of problem solving ability indicatoris checking the correctness of the results or answers by 64,32%. Keywords: Problem Solving Abilites, Learning Model, Search Solve Create Share, Abstrak Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran SSCS. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Persis 72 Gunung Buntung berjumlah 25 orang. Proses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan sesuai dengan langkah pembelajaran SSCS. Teknik pengumpulan yang digunakan tes dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh persentase siswa yang memiliki kemampuan pemecahkan masalah dengan sangat baik sebesar 20%, persentase siswa yang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan baik sebesar 72%, persentase siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah cukup sebesar 8%. Sedangkan persentase indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah paling tinggi adalah mengidentifikasi kecakupan data untuk memecahkan masalah sebesar 89,33 %. Sedangkan Persentase indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah paling rendah adalah Memeriksa kebenaran hasil atau jawaban sebesar 64,32%. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pentingnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap materi teorema pythagoras yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi learning obstacle siswa pada materi teorema pythagoras dengan membuat desain didaktis (bahan ajar) berupa modul teorema pythagoras. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode Didactical Design Research (DDR). Metode ini dilakukan dengan tiga tahap, yaitu analisis situasi didaktis sebelum pembelajaran, analisis metapedadidaktik, dan analisis retrospektif. Berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan melalui tes identifikasi learning obstacle pada materi teorema pythagoras terhadap 25 siswa kelas VIII G SMP Negeri 1 Saketi, terdapat hambatan yang dialami siswa terkait pemahaman konsep diantaranya: 1) hambatan dalam memahami konsep segitiga siku-siku; 2) hambatan dalam menerapkan teorema pythagoras, 3) hambatan dalam menentukan jenis segitiga 4) hambatan dalam memahami tripel pythagoras; dan 5) hambatan dalam menerapkan teorema pythagoras dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Untuk mengatasi hambatan siswa pada materi teorema pythagoras diperlukan rancangan pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berdasarkan analisis learning obstacle sehingga menghasilkan desain didaktis hipotesis yang memuat berbagai aktifitas siswa dan prediksi respon siswa beserta dengan antisipasinya serta menghasilkan modul pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain didaktis yang diberikan dapat mengantisipasi kesulitan siswa terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi teorema pythagoras, hal tersebut dapat terlihat dari hasil kerja siswa pada modul.
