Abstract

Globally, students have long familiarized with utilizng a presentation program from Microsoft named Powerpoint, this program is good just not enough to attract the attention of students’ creativity. It is necessary a program that can not only be used to display concepts but also be able to attract the attention of students while presenting. The program in question is Focusky, in addition to being easy to use the program is also able to display slides with zoom in-zoom out effect with friendly facilities and object effects galore making this program very suitable used by students in presenting their tasks in front of the class. This study employs a qualitative descriptive study by conducting data collection through books and other literature as the main object.  Descriptive analysis method provides a clear, objective, systematic, analytical and critical picture and description of the application of focusky presentation media to the creative writing of Unuiversity students. Students in general, for example in the Faculty of Literature UMI do not have the same information technology capabilities (evenly) where there are those capable while some who are less in designing presentations. Hence, utilizing focusky will help students who could make creative presentations media to the best of their abilites.  Focusky-based presentation acts as an alternative to support students creativity that is very appropriate to apply to creative writing ideas and motivate students during presentations in higher education setting.

Abstract

The pilot study focuses on three issues: how to articulate the need for learning videos in the language course, how to design learning videos in the language course, and how to articulate the feasibility and practicality of learning videos in the language course at the Faculty of Letters, Muslim University of Indonesia. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach. The findings of this study indicated that students required more engaging learning resources than books and presentation slides, one of which is a learning video packaged in animation to capture students' attention and motivate them to learn the content or material in the learning video. Language learning videos with material paragraphs are produced using the video animation concept, specifically whiteboard animation. This design was picked based on the animated video's attractiveness to the audience in order to pique their interest in the material or film after it is shown. The viability of learning videos as determined by validation results from media and material experts on newly designed Indonesian language learning films is extremely good. The video's form or presentation, as well as the content included inside, are adequate and sufficient to allow it to forward to the following stage, namely testing to ascertain the answers or replies of lecturers and students. The practicality of the learning videos, as determined by lecturers and students' reactions, is extremely good; there are no substantial barriers to lecturers and students using these learning videos.

Abstract

Potensi kekayaan daerah berupa sastra lisan di Sulawesi Selatan sepenuhnya belum digali dan disebarluaskan kepada generasi muda. Potensi budaya ini dapat dijadikan sebagai sarana pembentukan karakter siswa di sekolah melalui kegiatan penulisan naskah drama. Kegiatan pelatihan penulisan naskah drama dari cerita lisan Sulawesi Selatan di MTs Negeri 2 Biringkanaya Makassar dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pelatihan, pendampingan, dan praktik penulisan. Jumlah peserta pelatihan sebanyak 36 orang. Kegiatan ini dijalankan dalam beberapa tahapan, yakni persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap persiapan, dilakukan koordinasi dengan mitra, menunjuk tim pendamping, dan mempersiapkan materi pelatihan, serta memastikan kesiapan alat dan bahan penunjang pelatihan. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, tim menyampaikan materi pelatihan peserta. Setiap kelompok diberikan bahan sastra lisan dari daerah Sulawesi Selatan, yang selanjutnya akan disusun ke dalam sebuah naskah drama. Pada tahap evaluasi, tim pelaksana melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi mengenai tingkat pengetahuan mitra setelah kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan dilakukan. Secara keseluruhan, pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM Pelatihan Penulisan Naskah Drama dari Cerita Lisan Sulawesi Selatan yang dilaksanakan di MTs Negeri 2 Biringkanaya Makassar ini mendapat respons yang baik dari peserta yang menjadi mitra pengabdian masyarakat. Para siswa yang menjadi peserta pelatihan antusias mengikuti kegiatan yang diberikan.

Abstract

Poetry is a literal work representing action and thought of the poet after interacting with both inner worlds, his/her thought, and outer worlds, phenomena. This research attempted to deliver an idea about a model of multicultural study by utilising the poetry texts as the data source. The research scope was limited to religious multicultural values; (1) personal freedom, (2) sacrifice, and (3) uncontrolled sexual desire (adultery). Multicultural is one way to understand the diversity. There is a connection between the religiosity and divinity. Being religious is also about how human communicates with their creator, God. This research was a qualitative where the data were words, lines, and paragraphs in the chosen poetries. The data were subjected to analysis of Ricoeur hermeneutic approach. Husni Djamaluddin asserted that that freedom is always bonded with obligation. Sacrifice refers to the essence of kindness and greatness of all creatures. The awareness of each individual as the organic part of the society that must obey the customary law, religion law, and national law is the main key to prevent the uncontrolled lust release in the community.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk melatih siswa dan guru mengenal bahasa santun guna mencegah ujaran kebencian dan pencemaran nama baik di media sosial. Adapun tujuan dan sasaran kegiatan ini adalah memberi pelatihan berbahasa santun pada siswa dan guru pada UPTD Sekolah Dasar Inpres 180 Pucak Maros. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah siswa, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan di sekolah dasar. Fungsi hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah membentuk karakter santun berbahasa siswa dan mengenalkan metode dan bentuk-bentuk bahasa santun kepada guru untuk dijadikan bahan ajar. Dampak ekonomi dan sosial yang dihasilkan melalui kegiatan ini adalah dengan keterampilan berbahasa santun terhadap siswa dan guru maka dapat menciptakan lingkungan sosial yang tenteram dan damai di lingkungan siswa dan guru. Lingkungan yang damai dan tenteram dapat membantu pelaku ekonomi beraktivitas dengan aman tanpa ada ujaran kebencian satu sama lain. Kontribusi kegiatan ini terhadap Sektor lain adalah dengan membimbing siswa memahami santun berbahasa maka, orang tua akan terbantu dalam menciptakan harmonisasi dalam sektor kehidupan keluarga mereka. Orang tua yang memiliki anak yang santun akan berdampak pada orang tua tentang mencari nafkah. Luaran kegiatan ini adalah menghasilkan siswa yang berkarakter santun berbahasa di media sosial.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is expected to explain the value of multicultural diversity attitudes by utilizing poetry text as a data source. Research approach is hermeneutic with several work models which are utilized at semantic, reflective and existential understanding levels. Result and discussion about religiosityattitude indicate that (1) the devotion to God by individual or group shall not be claimed as the only acceptable way for God worship; (2) self-control is an attitude exerted by human in communicating with God; and (3) self-awareness/selfintrospection can bind all individuals despite tribe, religion and race

Abstract

Berdasarkan amanat pengembangan pendidikan tinggi, Indikator Kinerja Utama Perguruan Tinggi (IKU-PT) harus mampu menjadi alat ukur sekaligus akselerator untuk pengembangan kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi program MBKM di kampus khususnya pada Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia. Indikator Kinerja Utama butir 7 (IKU-7) memuat rumusan tentang indikator kelas yang kolaboratif dan partisifatif. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif qualitatif dengan metode questioner dan wawancara langsung dengan teknik IKU-7. Partisipan questioner adalah dosen, mahasiswa, dan tendik. Hasil penelitian tentang implementasi kebijakan program MBKM bagi mahasiswa, dosen, dan tenaga kependidikan belum maksimal. Pada umumnya informasi tentang MBKM didapatkan dari kanal Kemendikbud dan selebihnya dari sosialisasi kampus merdeka oleh perguruan tinggi. Tingkat keinginan mahasiswa dan dosen di UMI untuk berpartisipasi terhadap program MBKM sangat tinggi terlihat dari kesiapan untuk mengikuti program merdeka belajar. Implementasi program MBKM berbasis IKU-7 pada Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia UMI menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kriteria pembelajaran kelas kolaboratif dan partisipatif atau case methode dan team base project belum maksimal. Kriteria evaluasi dan formula penilaian berdasarkan metode pembelajaran case methode dan team base project juga menunjukan hasil yang rendah. Selebihnya dosen menggunakan metode ceramah. Ketertarikan mahasiswa dalam metode penbelajaran kelas kolaboratif dan partisipatif sangat tinggi karena mahasiswa aktif dan berpartisipasi dalam memecahkan masalah.

Abstract

PKM Literasi sastra lisan ini sebagai upaya pelestarian dan perlindungan cerita lisan Sulawesi Selatan. Sulawesi Selatan kaya dengan cerita lisan, namun siswa jarang yang mengatahui kekayaan cerita lisan yang ada didaerahnya. Pada umumnya siswa hanya mengetahui cerita lisan dari luar Pulau Sulawesi. Permasalahan guru sebagai mitra (1) adalah masih kurang perbendaharaan cerita lisan lokal dan siswa sebagai mitra (2) menerima dampak pembelajaran tersebut yaitu tidak mengetahui sastra lisan daerahnya sendiri. Tujuan akhir program pelatihan ini adalah siswa dapatmengathui cerita lisan Sulawesi Selatan. Dengan mengetahui sebanyak mungkin cerita lisan maka sastra lisan Sulawesi Selatan sudah ada pewarisan dan perlindungan. Tujuan khususnya adalah melatih siswa untuk dapat bercerita menggunakan sastra lisan daerahnya sendiri. Guru dapat memanfaatkan bahan ajar cerita lisan lokal. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dan kompetisi dengan melibatkan siswa dan guru sebanyak mungkin serta mahasiswa sebagai instruktur. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan minat siswa dan guru terhadap cerita lisan sangat tinggi.

Abstract

Digital technology has begun to permeate all spheres of society, including education, particularly higher education. This research is concerned with investigating the need for digital-based learning materials in the folklore course at the Faculty of Letters, Indonesian Muslim University. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach by gathering data through questionnaire. The samples consisted of 5 lecturers and 50 students with a total of 55 samples that were given a questionnaire to which they have given consent to participate. According to this study, among other findings, students were becoming tired with printed educational materials. Students could have a unique experience with digital teaching resources, which can aid both lecturers and students in learning. Using the application Focusky, digital teaching materials containing historical folklore elements could be produced as a learning material. Digital teaching materials designed as presentation media with animations and 3D transition effects that zoom in and out to capture the attention of students. Focusky for courses in folklore seemed to have a very high level of practicability. The design or presentation of digital teaching materials and the content included within them are enough and adequate for innovative learning. Furthermore, based on the responses of lecturers and students to the digital teaching materials, the practicality of Focusky was rated as very good, and there were no significant challenges for lecturers and students when utilizing digital teaching materials for the history of folklore in learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the learning process and improve short story writing skills using the communicative method of class X SMAN 16 Makassar students. The research subject is class X with 36 students, the type of research used is classroom action research, the data collection method in the research uses test techniques, observation sheets and documentation, data analysis techniques used in the research are qualitative and quantitative techniques, the results of the research show that using the communicative method can improve students' short story writing skills. The process of improving learning to write short short stories by means of students learning short story material, intrinsic elements, and steps to write short stories. Before being given the action, a pretest was held to determine the students' initial skills in writing short stories in the pre-cycle. The results show that in class X the average score generated is 60.41. Then, the communicative method was carried out in cycle 1, so that the results increased by 69.30. After the second cycle of action was carried out, the results again increased by 80.58. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that there was an increase in the short story writing skills of students of class X IPA 6 when using the communicative method.
