Abstract

Abstrak—Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa dengan menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis saintifik. (2) Mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis saintifik dan (3) Melihat respon positif siswa terhadap penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis saintifik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi peneltian ini adalah seluruh siswa-siswi kelas VIII MTs Al-Ma’sum Malausma. Adapun sampelnya adalah kelas VIII B dan kelas VIII C. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menguji validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda, indeks kesukaran, dan uji analisis dengan menggunakan uji t dan analisis regresi. Hasilnya menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa yang menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis saintifik lebih baik secara signifikan pada kelas eksperimen daripada kelas kontrol yang menggunakan bahan ajar biasa dan terdapat pengaruh positif penggunaan bahan ajar saintifik terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa. Kata kunci: Pemahaman Matematis, Bahan Ajar Berbasis saintifik.

Abstract

Dalam menghadapi era globalisasi, penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi menjadi suatu keharusan. Hal tersebut menuntut berbagai pihak untuk dapat mengembangkan kemampuan yang berhubungan dengan pengembangan kemampuan di bidang teknologi. Dalam bidang pendidikan, salah satu terobosan pendidikan di Indonesia yang berupaya mengembangkan manusia yang bisa menciptakan ekonomi berbasis sains dan teknologi adalah pembelajaran STEAM. STEAM sebagai sebuah pendekatan pembelajaran merupakan sarana bagi peserta didik untuk menciptakan ide/gagasan berbasis sains dan teknologi melalui kegiatan berpikir dan bereksplorasi dalam memecahkan masalah berdasarkan pada lima disiplin ilmu yang terintegrasi. Implementasi STEAM dalam pembelajaran merupakan sebuah proses penerapan ide, gagasan dan konsep yang terkandung dalam meta disiplin ilmu dalam sebuah pembelajaran yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan baik dalam aspek kognitif, afektif maupun psikomotor peserta didik dalam menghadapai kemajuan teknologi. Dalam penelitian ini akan dibahas bagaimana implementasi STEAM dalam pembelajaran di sekolah, khususnya dalam pembelajaran matematika serta bagaimana contohnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan manfaat pengetahuan terkait STEAM dan implementasinya dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah, baik bagi guru dan dosen sebagai pelaku pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study based on the difficulty of students to think abstractly in the material geometry. There are still many students who feel confused when should imagine and then describe each object geometry because basically a lot of material geometry using visualization mathematical model that concretely not real and do not always exist in everyday life. The difficulties caused students cannot resolve the problems on the material geometry. This illustrates the poor ability of students' mathematical abstraction. One of the methods that can improve the ability of mathematical abstraction is a problem posing learning groups. The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the difficulty of students of abstract mathematical thinking in problem posing learning groups; (2) determine the factors that cause difficulty in abstract mathematical thinking in problem posing learning groups. This study used a qualitative research approach and descriptive. The subjects of this study are students of class X IPA 1 SMAN 1 Leuwimunding Leuwimunding 2015/2016 totaling 36 students. The instrument used in this study is a matter of mathematical abstraction ability tests, questionnaires and interview guidelines. The results showed there are still many students who have difficulty in abstract mathematical thinking in problem posing learning groups which are (1) students lack mastery of concepts; (2) the student does not perform direct experience with the object; (3) students are less able to apply the concept in an appropriate context; and (4) students have difficulty in manipulating abstract mathematical object. Abstract

The spread of the coronavirus has made the entire educational system shift to online learning. The key challenges are the uneven distribution of the internet network and the expensive use of quotas. Creating learning material allows students to study from home without relying on the internet or massive quotas. One of the best learning options during this pandemic is developing sparkol video scribe-based learning material. During the Covid 19 pandemic, this study intends to build scientifically based sparkol video scribe media and describe the quality of scientifically based sparkol video scribe media in mathematics learning in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The research approach is Research and Development (R&D), which follows the ADDIE framework, consisting of five steps: planning (design), development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were 15 students from the fourth semester of Universitas Majalengka's mathematics education studies program. Validation test sheets, practicality sheets, and effectiveness sheets were among the instruments employed. The findings revealed that developed media met the standards established by media and material experts, were used in classrooms, and effecinfluentialhanced student interest in learning and arithmetic skills. During the Covid 19 epidemic, the sparkol video scribe media deserves to be employed as an alternative learning medium.Dampak penyebaran virus corona membuat seluruh sistem pendidikan telah beralih ke pembelajaran online. Tantangan utamanya adalah distribusi jaringan internet yang tidak merata dan penggunaan kuota yang mahal. Menciptakan materi pembelajaran yang memungkinkan siswa untuk belajar dari rumah tanpa bergantung pada internet atau kuota yang besar sangatlah penting. Salah satu pilihan pembelajaran terbaik di masa pandemi ini adalah pengembangan materi pembelajaran berbasis sparkol video scribe. Di masa pandemi Covid 19, penelitian ini bermaksud untuk membangun media video scriber sparkol berbasis ilmiah dan mendeskripsikan kualitas media video scribe sparkol berbasis ilmiah dalam pembelajaran matematika ditinjau dari validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifannya. Pendekatan penelitian adalah Research and Development (R&D), yang mengikuti kerangka ADDIE, terdiri dari lima langkah: perencanaan (design), pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah 15 mahasiswa semester IV program studi pendidikan matematika Universitas Majalengka. Lembar uji validasi, lembar kepraktisan, dan lembar keefektifan termasuk di antara instrumen yang digunakan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan oleh ahli media dan materi, digunakan di dalam kelas, dan efektif  dalam meningkatkan minat siswa dalam belajar dan keterampilan berhitung. Abstract

Integrating mathematics into local culture is a way to enhance students' interest in local wisdom. The concept of mathematics is explored to find out the existence of mathematics in society's culture which has not been seen so far. The Mathematical concept is used to explore the existence of mathematics in terrace culture on the Panyaweuyan terrace of Majalengka city. This study to describe the result of exploratory project-based learning of the Panyaweuyan terrace with this kind of exploratory research. The exploring of the relationship between the terrace culture of panyaweuyan and concept mathematics, especially in the concept of arithmetic sequences is analyzed and described through literature studies, observation, and interviews with 4 informants who are local farmers. The results that there is a relationship between the arithmetic sequence concept with the local culture of Panyaweuyan Majalengka city. The results of the study stated that each mound on each step on the Panyeweuyan terraces was formed through an arithmetic sequence formula. Farmers in Panyaweuyan terraces are naturally able to make terraces according to the arithmetic sequence formula without knowing the basics of mathematics. Therefore, the concept of mathematics is part of local culture which has an important role in preserving the nation's culture.

Abstract

The importance of the ability to think critically in mathematics learning is contrary to the fact that the development of these abilities is still not optimal. Not many teachers creatively develop critical thinking skills during the learning process. The consequence of the implementation of the 2013 curriculum is the use of a scientific approach to learning, including mathematics. Steps in scientific learning include: (1) observing; (2) ask; (3) collecting information; (4) associate; and (5) communicating. These five steps provide great opportunities for students to be able to develop mathematical critical thinking skills. This study describes the implementation of a scientific approach in learning mathematics, especially in improving mathematical critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Reflection practice is a form of teacher professional development activity that has become the focus of study, research, and discussion in several scientific forums. The practice of reflection used so far is lesson study and educational action research. Didactical design research is one form of educational design research. DDR for mathematics teachers has been widely developing in Indonesia, both at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels. This service program begins with an introduction to Didactical Design Research. Form and its characteristics of didactical design research provide through a zoom meeting, and it will continue with the creation and development of a didactic design for learning mathematics based on the problems faced by the teacher. After the participants' activities, especially teachers, based on the results of the questionnaire response analysis of knowledge and understanding related to the concept of didactical design research, then the practice of reflection based on didactical design research increases and is ready for a workshop.

Abstract

E-Learning is a form of learning that utilizes internet facilities in the learning process. The learning process through e-learning can be done anytime and anywhere. This training activity is intended so that trainees get a good understanding of e-learning using the google classroom and moodle platforms. The method of implementing this activity is divided into three main stages, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. Participants in the training consisted of teachers from MTs and MA Siti Khadijah Majalengka. Based on the results of data processing, it can be concluded that e-learning can make learning anytime and anywhere. Based on the results of the processing it was found that 50% of the training participants stated that e-learning was very important and 50% stated it was important. Participants stated that through this training activity an increase in understanding about e-learning, ie 33.3% of participants were very understanding and the remaining 66.7% answered understanding

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) merupakan penelitian yang dapat dilakukan oleh guru dalam memperbaiki proses pembelajaran di kelas. PTK sebagai bentuk pengembangan profesionalisme guru dalam meningkatkan kinerjanya. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode pelatihan terstruktur yang dilakukan secara virtual zoom meeting. Jumlah seluruh peserta yang mendaftar sebanyak 143 orang. Hasil dari pelatihan menunjukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman peserta pelatihan dalam memahami PTK dengan baik. Hasil lain juga menunjukan bahwa melalui kegiatan pelatihan pemahaman peserta pelatihan mengenai PTK menjadi lebih baik.

Abstract

Abstrak—Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan tujuanmengkaji masalah peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaranmatematis siswa melalui pembelajaran dengan pendekatan metaphorical thinking. Selain itu penelitian ini juga mengkaji sikap/respon siswa terhadap matematika dan pendekatan pembelajaran metaphorical thinking. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Lembang Provinsi Jawa Barat dengan Sampel 37 siswa kelas VIIIA sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 36 siswa kelas VIIIB sebagai kelompok kontrol. Pengambilan sampel didasarkan kepada teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen terdiri dari pretes dan postes serta skala sikap. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan dengan menggunakan Independent Sample t-test serta Mann-Whitney Test,sedangkan analisis kualitatif dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemahamn dan penalaranmatematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran melalui pendekatan metaphorical thinking lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvenisonal. Analisis data angket skala sikap memperlihatkan bahwa siswa bersikap positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika dan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan metaphorical thinking. Kata kunci: Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis, Kemampuan Penalaran Matematis, Metaphorical Thinking
