Abstract

TRLS is a homologous protein located at APC membrane cell worl as a functional receptor to activate leucocyte lead to onduce mentriger responsimun innate or inflamatory respons against palogenic againt. Functional receptor is associated wuth kinase respons to produce sitokyn and microbidal subtance. The aim of the study is to examine the respons to produce sitokyn and microbidal subtance. The aim of the study is to examine the role TLRs on innate immunity it is concluded that the role of TLRS is important functional receptor which activate leucocyte to induce mentriger respons imun innate or an inflamators respons against patogenic agent.

Abstract

Background. The content of the coffee beans that are antioxidants have good potential, particularly against cancers of the oral cavity. Polyphenols in coffee beans 5% together the other ingredients in the diet, such as vitamin C, vitamin E and carotenoids, can protect the body's tissues against oxidative stress. Antioxidants can prevent a variety of diseases associated with oxidative stress, such as cancer. Objective. Research to determine the expression of GSH on monocytes were exposed to coffee beans and DMBA in vitro. Research Methods. Monocytes aspirated, added RPMI, resuspension with M 199, penstrep, fungisone. Superimposed on a cell culture plate that was given coverslip, added M 199, incubation. Add RPMI, incubation, discard lymphocytes, washing with RPMI. Add medium M 199, incubation. Cultures are washed, resuspension with M 199, treatments according to the research group. KO: Monocytes, K1: Coffee Monocytes + 10% + DMBA, K2: Coffee Monocytes + 5% + DMBA, K3: Monocytes + Coffee 10%, K4: Monocytes + coffee 5%, K5: Monocytes + DMBA. Immunocytochemistry for the analysis of GSH. Cells expressing GSH brown under a light microscope with a magnification of 400 times and counted on five visual fields. Research Result. Results of ANOVA analysis (p <0.01) showed that there were significant differences in all groups. Furthermore, the LSD test (p <0.05), the results are significant differences between all groups. Conclusion. Coffee beans can increase GSH expression on monocytes were exposed to DMBA.

Abstract

Introduction. Till now allergy was a piquancy to be submitted, because most all people have everexperienced it. Symptom and also allergen all kinds and varies can come from neither outside body nor in bodyx'self. Purpose of Writing. Co-signature deeper in around allergic reaction. Discussion. Allergic reaction is immunesystem trouble marked by abundant reaction from immune response. Allergic reaction entangles allergen, is causingcells discharges matters or mediator chemistry which can destroy or hurts network in vinicity. Allergen can in the formof mote, crop powder, drug or food, is acting as antigen stimulating the happening of immune responds. Allergicreaction divided to become allergic reaction type I entangling Ig E, type II Antibody-Mediated Cytotoxi ity ( Ig G),type III ( Immune Complex Disorders) and type IV (delayed hypersensitivities). Conclusion. Allergic reaction is caused[by] allergen having manifestation to vary and divided to become reaction quickly ( type I), type II, type III and typeIV.

Abstract

Nowadays HIV/AIDS infection was increase to children in the world. In development countries include Indonesia, it was caused fourth killer to children. Oral manifestation to the children who has infected HIV have a different been compared with adult. Discussion.Candidiasis and necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis is oral lesion who was found in the children. Linear gingival erythema leukoplakia, caries and kaposis sarcoma can be an indicator of moderate and hard immunosupression. Parotis swollen, herpes simplex virus infection and recurrent aphtous stomatitis not special connected with immunosupression grade. The best of management patients was consider immunology status andexamined oral continuity. Conclusion. Oral manifestation in the childen very important to known because it was often first indication clinical so that someone had been infected of HIV.

Abstract

Neem is one of the traditional medicine known by society as immunomodulator. On the other hand, 80% of oralinfection diseases is caused by C. albicans. This research is aimed to explain the phagocytosis activities on wistarrats which were inoculated with C. albicans and fed with neem leaves. There are 5 groups, namely control group(KO)with no treatment, the other treatment groups were classified into 4 groups. First group (KP1)was inoculatedwith C. albicans only. KP2 was fed with 50 mg/day/kg BW aqueous extracts from neem leaves, then inoculated withC. albicans start from day 8-21. KP3 was fed with 100 mg/day/kg BW aqueous extract from neem leaves, theninoculated with C. albicans start from day 8-21. KP4 was fed with 200 mg/day/kg BW aqueous extract from neemleaves, then inoculated with C. albicans start from day 8-21. On day 22, the tongue was swabbed for each group, then cut for immunohistochemistry preparation. The study that there was significant difference showed that therewere different results computed using anova, HSD test, and linier regression. The conclusion was neem leavesincreased the phagocytosis activity of wistar rats, inoculated with C.albicans.

Abstract

Mechanical trauma causes pulp exposure and make the invasion of pathogenic microorganisms into the dental tissue. This condition causes pulp inflammation characterized by the release of pro-inflammatory cytokine tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and anti-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-10 (IL-10). Gouramy bone paste (Osphronemus gouramy) contains amino acids, omega-3, omega-6, and flavonoids which is thought to accelerate healing of inflamed pulp tissue that triggers decreased TNF-α expression and increased IL-10 expression. This study aims to analyze the expression of TNF-α and IL-10 in dental pulp after administration of Gouramy bone paste (Osphronemus gouramy) and calcium hydroxide. The sample size consisted of 24 Rattus novergicus which were divided into 3 groups i.e (K1) without the application of direct pulp capping material, (K2) with the application of calcium hydroxide, and (K3) with the application of gouramy bone paste. Data measured are the number of inflammatory cells (neutrophils, macrophages, and lymphocytes) that express TNF-α and IL-10 on the 4th and 7th days histologically by immunohistochemical methods. Statistical test results showed that administration of gouramy bone paste in dental pulp decreased TNF-α expression and increased IL-10 expression more than those without gouramy bone paste with a significant difference (p
