Abstract

This study aims to develop job sheets on the subject of electrical maintenance of light vehicles. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D model development procedure. This research consists of four stages, namely: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The subjects used were students of SMK N 5 Padang, the data analysis technique used was technical analysis from the experts by looking at the validity and practicality of the jobsheet. The results showed that the jobsheet met the principle of relevance in the qualifications for learning materials from the expert's assessment with a level of 0.921 stated in the valid category. Based on the teacher's response with a value of 90.67%, it is stated that it is practical. Based on the development of this jobsheet, it can be concluded that the jobsheet is valid and practical and for learning in schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang variasi penggunaan busi dan bahan bakar terhadap torsi dan daya yang dihasilkan oleh sepeda motor matic 110 cc dengan menggunakan tiga variasi busi yaitu busi nikel, busi platinum, dan busi iridium serta tiga jenis bahan bakar yaitu premium, pertalite, dan pertamax. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Objek penelitian ini adalah sepeda motor Honda Beat tahun 2017. Pada penggunaan bahan bakar pertalite serta menggunakan busi nikel, busi platinum, dan busi iridium didapat hasil torsi sebesar 9,62 N.m, 9,77 N.m, 9,62 N.m. Daya sebesar 6,29 Kw, 6,41 Kw, 6,29 Kw. Pada penggunaan bahan bakar pertamax serta menggunakan busi nikel, busi platinum, dan busi iridium didapat hasil torsi sebesar 9,67 N.m, 9,27 N.m, 9,83 N.m. Daya sebesar 6,34 Kw, 6,26 Kw, 6,44 kw. Setelah melalui uji T dengan taraf signifikan 5% didapat hasil torsi dan daya pada perlakuan menggunakan busi nikel, busi platinum, busi iridium serta bahan bakar pertalite dan pertamax tidak signifikan. This study is about variations in the use of spark plugs and fuel on the torque and power produced by a 110 cc automatic motorcycle using three variations of spark plugs, namely nickel spark plugs, platinum spark plugs, and iridium spark plugs and three types of fuel, namely premium, pertalite, and pertamax. This type of research is experimental research. The object of this research is a 2017 Honda Beat motorcycle. In the use of pertalite fuel and using nickel spark plugs, platinum spark plugs, and iridium spark plugs, the torque results are 9.62 N.m, 9.77 N.m, 9.62 N.m. Power of 6.29 Kw, 6.41 Kw, 6.29 Kw. In the use of Pertamax fuel and using nickel spark plugs, platinum spark plugs, and iridium spark plugs, the torque results are 9.67 N.m, 9.27 N.m, 9.83 N.m. Power of 6.34 Kw, 6.26 Kw, 6.44 kw. After going through the T test with a significant level of 5%, the results of the torque and power treatment using nickel spark plugs, platinum spark plugs, iridium spark plugs and pertalite and pertamax fuels were not significant.

Abstract

An EFI cars (Electronic Fuel Injection) is not equipped with a pressure fuel pump indicator, so the driver does not know the the fuel pump performance. If the fuel pump work under the standard, the engine is not responsive to acceleration, engine temperature can be increased and the performance of the engine is lowered. This research are trying to design a fuel pump pressure detector using a pressure sensor. The research methodology used is the Research and Development (R & D) consisting of product design, design validation, design revisions, and test products. This study used three product design because the design of the first and the second has not been as expected. The third design uses a comparator circuit as the controller three indicator LED (Light Emitting Diode). If the fuel pump working pressure of 2,1kg / cm²-2.5 kg / cm², the three colored LED green, yellow and red lights up. If the fuel pump working pressure of 1.6 kg / cm²-2,0kg / cm², the two LED will light up the colors yellow and red. If the fuel pump working pressure of 1,0kg / cm²-1.5 kg / cm², it is only one red LED are illuminated. A comparison between the changes in pressure to produce the output voltage linear data and repeatibility = 0.

Abstract

A city car is needed to overcome congestion and parking spaces in urban areas. However, currently, the body design of the city car is still experiencing problems, namely the value of the large drag coefficient, which causes an increase in fuel consumption. This study aims to design a city car body with two passengers that is more aerodynamic so as to minimize fuel use. This research method is a numerical simulation model using the ANSYS fluent students version 2021. Parameters in the form of drag coefficient values, velocity streamlines and velocity contours on the city car are aerodynamic aspects that are analyzed. The results show that the dimensions of the designed city car have a length of 2.59 m, a width of 1.6 m, and a height of 1.52 m by considering the ergonomic parameters and comfort of the user so that it fits the character of the people in Indonesia. In addition, from the independence grid analysis performed, the value of the number of meshes that have the smallest error value is obtained, namely mesh C (the number of meshes is 129,635). Mesh C has an error of 7.2%. It was found that as the velocity increases, the value of the drag coefficient (CD) produced is relatively smaller. In a city car with a velocity of 10 m/s, the drag coefficient value is 0.599, at a velocity of 20 m/s, the drag coefficient value is 0.594, and a velocity of 30 m/s is a drag coefficient value of 0.591.

Abstract

Car air conditioning system simulator is a tool that can be used to learn the mechanism of action and the performance of the air conditioning system with certain treatments. The purpose of this research is to be able to design, make a simulator of air conditioning system type of orifice tube car with R134a cooling fluid to determine the mechanism of action, and analyze the performance of system using R134a cooling fluid. This research is a type of Research and Development (R & D), with the ADDIE model development procedure. Based on the results of research conducted, the final product is a valid and practical Car Air Conditioning System Simulator. Coefficience Of Performance (COP) value = 4.88, and has a practical value of 93 %. Simulator sistem pengkondisian udara mobil merupakan alat yang dapat digunakan untuk mempelajari mekanisme kerja dan unjuk kerja sistem pengkondisian udara dengan perlakuan tertentu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mampu merancang, membuat simulator sistem pengkondisian udara mobil jenis orifice tube dengan fluida pendingin R134a untuk mengetahui mekanisme kerja, dan menganalisa unjuk kerja sistem dengan menggunakan fluida pendingin R134a. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis Research and Development (R & D), dengan prosedur pengembangan model ADDIE. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dihasilkan produk akhir berupa Simulator Sistem Pengkondisian Udara Mobil yang valid dan praktis. Nilai Cooefficience Of Performance (COP) = 4,88, dan memiliki nilai kepraktisan 93 %.

Abstract

Tujuan pelakasanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini untuk menghasilkan inovasi alat pengering udara yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam pengecatan bodi mobil, selain itu meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra UMKM pengecatan bodi mobil. Meningkatnya kebutuhan manusia terhadap teknologi terutama kendaraan menjadikan banyaknya kendaraan yang bermunculan waktu demi waktu. Perkembangan ini menjadi peluang usaha yang sangat besar. Pengecatan mobil merupakan salah satu peluang usaha di dunia kendaraan yang cukup menguntungkan mengingat tingkat pertambahan mobil yang semakin pesat. Masyarakat yang kerap kali melakukan pengecatan mobil biasanya dikarenakan terjadi kecelakaan sehingga menimbulkan kerusakan pada bodi mobil atau hanya karena ingin memperbarui warna mobil agar sesuai dengan keinginan. Salah satu usaha repair body mobil di Nagari Tanjung Alam Bukittinggi adalah Total Auto Mobil, permasalah yang terjadi adalah di dalam kompresor terdapat uap air dikarenakan masih menggunakan kompresor biasa. Hal ini bisa menimbulkan bercak pada hasil pengecatan disebabkan efek dari uap air pada udara saat proses pengecatan. Berdasarkan masalah ini tim pengabdi mencoba membuat inovasi pembaruan pada alat pendukung kompresor. Melalui kegiatan ini pemberdayaan dan perekonomian masyarakat penggerak UMKM menjadi lebih meningkat khususnya bengkel Total Auto Mobil, serta masyarakatpun mendapat pengetahuan baru yang sangat bermanfaat.

Abstract

Learning media is a tool that can help the teaching and learning process that can clarify the meaning of information or messages to be conveyed, so as to achieve better learning objectives. This study aims to determine the performance, feasibility level of the trainer on the basic concept of potentiometric sensors as a learning medium. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method which consists of analysis, design, product manufacture, testing and implementation. The data collection was carried out 3 times in the testing phase. The data obtained will be processed in several stages, namely the Accuracy test, Linearity Test and Repeatibility Test as well as a feasibility test from media experts and respondents. The average results of the research that have been carried out obtained an average accuracy of 99.14%, Linearity Test data has Linearity, Repeatibility Test obtained 0. Judging from the feasibility level test from Media Experts, namely 93.74% and Respondents 94.78%. so it can be concluded after doing some testing that the basic concept trainer of the potensiometric sensor as a learning medium can be said to be “very feasible” to be used as a learning medium

Abstract

Penggunaan Elektroliser secara umum dapat menurunkan tingkat konsumsi bahan bakar pada mobil Toyota Kijang 5 K. Menurunnya konsumsi bahan bakar pada mobil tersebut melalui penggunaan elektroliser dikarenakan elektroliser dapat menghasilkan gas hidrogen (H2) dan Oksigen (O2) dari hasil pemisahan molekul air yang terdiri dari oksigen dan hidrogen sebagai pembentuknya. Hidrogen yang telah dipisahkan dari oksigen tersebut jika disalurkan ke dalam air filter dan masuk ke ruang bakar, dapat menyempurnakan proses pembakaran pada mesin.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang coeffisient of performance atau COP pada trainer pengkondisian udara yang mengunakan motor listrik sebagai pengerak utama dari trainer ini yang mengantikan mesin konvesional yang umumnya dipakai pada sistem pengkondisian udara. Coeffisient of performance atau COP adalah salah satu indikator yang menentukan kerja dari sistem itu sendiri. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dimana besarnya nilai Coeffisient of performance (COP) dilihat. Dari trainer pada putaran 2970 RPM. Setelah mendapatkan data pada trainer maka dilakukan perhitungan untuk mencari besarnya nilai kerja kompresor, nilai kalor yang dilepas kondensor, nilai kalor yang diserap evaporator, nilai COP aktual, nilai COP ideal, nilai efisiensi dan nilai laju aliran massa pada trainer, dengan nilai COP terendah yaitu sebesar 2,17 dan terbesar yaitu 2,24.  This study discusses the coefficient of performance or COP in air conditioning trainers that use electric motors as the prime mover of this trainer replacing conventional engines which are generally used in air conditioning systems. The coefficient of performance or COP is one of the indicators that determines the work of the system itself. The type of research used is an experimental method which looks at the Coefficient of performance (COP) value of the trainer with a rotation of 2970 RPM. After obtaining the data from the trainer, calculations are performed to find the working value of the compressor, the calorific value released by the condenser, the calorific value absorbed by the evaporator, the actual COP value, the ideal COP value, the efficiency value and the mass flow rate value at the trainer, with the highest COP value, namely of 2.17 and the largest of 2.24.

Abstract

Adanya covid-19 menyebabkan sitem pembelajaran berubah menjadi pembelajaran online, hal ini menyebabkan siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar kinestetik mengalami kesulitan mengikuti pembelajaran daring. Terdapat 65% atau 55 orang siswa yang memperoleh nilai di bawah standar ketuntasan minimum. Siswa belum mampu mengembangkan materi yang disampaikan guru. Siswa kurang serius dalam mengikuti pelajaran. Penelitian ini bersifat korelasi yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui berapa besar kontribusi gaya belajar (X) terhadap hasil belajar siswa dimasa pendemi covid-19 (Y). Populasi dalam penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X jurusan otomotif di SMKN 1 Sumatera Barat sebanyak 85 orang peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan uji coba instrument terdapat 30 soal valid dan 1 soal tidak valid. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa “Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara gaya belajar dengan hasil belajar dimasa pendemi covid-19 siswa pada mata pelajaran TDO kelas X di SMKN 1 Sumatera Barat” diterima dengan taraf signifikan 0,05. The existence of covid-19 has caused the learning system to change to online learning, this has caused students who have a kinesthetic learning style to have difficulty following online learning. There are 65% or  students who score below the minimum standard of completeness. Students have not been able to develop the material presented by the teacher. Students are less serious in following the lesson. This research is a correlation study which aims to find out how much learning style (X) contributes to student learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic (Y). The population in the study were 85 students in class X majoring in automotive at SMKN 1 West Sumatra. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. Based on the instrument trial, there were 30 valid questions and 1 invalid question. Based on the analysis of the research data, it states that "There is a positive and significant relationship between learning styles and learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic for students in class X TDO subjects at SMKN 1 West Sumatra" accepted with a significant level of 0.05.
