Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the development of fuel system technology in Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) vehicles compared to the development of a fuel system in a gasoline engine. We found that over the past 100 years of using LPG as an alternative fuel, there have been changes in LPG kits for six generations. The first and second-generation LPG kits are similar to the concept of a carburetor, LPG and air mix in front of the throttle valve through a mixer. The third-generation of LPG kits is equivalent to K-Jetronik on a gasoline engine. The fourth and fifth-generation follow the development of a multi-point multi-point injection system and the sixth generation follows the workings of gasoline direct injection (GDI). The sixth-generation of LPG kits, where LPG is injected into the combustion chamber, has an advantage in volumetric efficiency but due to high combustion chamber temperatures, it is necessary to develop injectors that are resistant to high temperatures.

Abstract

Motorcycles for competitive purposes require a proper adjustment of ignition to produce the most optimum performance. For this reason, this article presents one of re-mapping technique on the Stand Alone Electronic Control Unit (ECU) applied to 130 cc motorcycle injection for competition purposes. This re-mapping activity aims to produce the best torque and power output. The method used by combining four fuel mappings and two ignition mappings tested with the full factorial design. The results showed that lean combustion and advanced ignition timing were able to produce the optimum torque of 11.57 Nm and optimum power of 19.6 hp.

Abstract

This article presents an investigation of the actual cooling effect on a lab-scale prototype of LPG-fueled vehicles. The cooling effect is obtained from heat absorption by LPG on the vaporizer. Water with a mass flow rate of 1, 2 and 3 lpm is flowed from the cooling box to the LPG evaporator and flow back to the cooling box. The car used in this study has a capacity of 1500 cc that rotates 1000, 1500, and 2000 rpm. The results showed that there was a relationship between cooling power with the increase in engine speed and mass flow rate of water that crosses the evaporator. The biggest cooling power is 378 Watts at 1000 rpm with a water mass flow rate of 3 lpm.

Abstract

Konsep kendaraan modern adalah terpenuhinya tuntutan tentang daya mesin yang besar, hemat pemakaian bahan bakar, dan rendah kadar emisi gas buang dengan efisiensi mesin yang tinggi. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan unjuk kerja mesin adalah dengan meningkatkan tekanan kompresi mesin. Besarnya tekanan kompresi mesin salah satunya ditentukan oleh panjang langkah kompresi aktual.Sepeda motor Honda GL Pro Neotech 160 cc standar dengan katup masuk ditutup pada 35° setelah TMB memiliki langkah kompresi aktual sepanjang 145° atau 46,07 mm, volume langkah aktualnya sebesar 145,97 dan memiliki perbandingan kompresi aktual sebesar 8,45. Dengan cara memajukan valve timing, penutupan katup hisap menjadi lebih awal, sehingga langkah kompresi aktual menjadi lebih panjang, volume langkah aktual menjadi lebih besar, dan tekanan kompresi meningkat.Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengkaji secara teori terhadap pengaruh pemajuan valve timing terhadap geometri mesin. Unjuk kerja mesin diuji pada dinamo meter untuk mengetahui output torsi dan daya yang dihasilkan mesin.Dengan pemajuan valve timing sebesar 10°, diperoleh langkah kompresi sepanjang 47, 74 mm (naik 1,67 mm), dengan volume langkah aktual 151, 27 cc (naik 5,3 cc) dan menghasilkan perbandingan kompresi sebesar 8,72. Penelitian pada 4000 rpm sampai 10000 rpm dengan interval rekam data setiap 250 rpm, mampu meningkatkan torsi rata rata sebesar 3,55 %, dan meningkatkan daya rata rata 3,14 %.Kata kunci : valve timing, kompresi aktual, daya, torsi.

Abstract

During deceleration, continuous fuel flows into the engine not only causing over fuel consumption but also increasing exhausts emissions. Therefore, this paper presents a simulation of AFR and fuel cut-off modeling in the LPG-fueled vehicle using Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC). The third generation of LPG kits (Liquid Phase Injection, LPI) was chosen due to its technological equivalency to EFI gasoline engine and promising to be developed. Given that the fuel system control is complex and non-linear, FLC has been selected because of simple, easy to understand, and tolerant to improper data. Simulation results show that the AFR and fuel cut-off controller able to maintenance AFR at the stoichiometric range during normal operation and able to cut the fuel flow at deceleration time for saving fuel and reducing emissions.

Abstract

This paper compares the three largest marketplaces in Indonesia as a marketing platform for temanggung coffee products. The three marketplaces are tokopedia, bukalapak, and shopee. PPPUD Team of Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang accompanied two partners, namely Palatiga Coffee SMEs and Garuda Coffee SMEs in product marketing through the marketplace. Tokopedia is one of the marketplaces that have a high user rating and has the complete features of the two other marketplaces. Also, Tokopedia also supports Indonesian coffee by providing a special page of Hot List Kopi Indonesia. PPPUD team of Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang is currently developing marketing through Tokopedia and does not rule out the possibility to expand the market by opening a shop in Bukalapak and Shopee

Abstract

One of the effects of increasing the number of vehicles is the presence of scrap tires. Stacking and burial of used tires have caused serious problems for the environment. Therefore, this article presents a brief review of the potential of scrap tires to be useful materials and products. Of the many potential uses, we find at least three ways to use the scrap tires, which are: converted to rubber powder to be reprocessed as asphalt mixture, concrete mixtures, composite mixes, fillers, and the like; converted to liquid oil through the pyrolysis process; and recycled forms, where the original physical properties of used tires are still visible, such as for furniture, wave breakers, racing circuit safety, and the like.

Abstract

Gagasan ini ditujukan untuk perbaikan transaksi dan manajemen lapak rosok Quantum Leap di Kecamatan Candiroto Kabupaten Temanggung. Persoalan yang dihadapi mitra selama ini adalah: proses transaksi konvensional memerlukan waktu yang relatif lama; sering terjadi kekeliruan dalam perhitungan berat rosok dan harga; transaksi tidak terekam dengan baik; pencatatan cash flow dengan buku sering terjadi kesalahan hitung; pihak manajemen tidak mengetahui jumlah barang di gudang; dan pihak manajemen mengalami kesulitan dalam perhitungan keuangan. Dari hasil telaah permasalahan yang dihadapi, maka solusi yang dapat diusulkan untuk menyelesaiakan permasalahan adalah dengan komputerisasi transaksi. Tujuan khusus gagasan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan akuntabilitas transaksi dan keuangan. Jika gagasan ini diimplementasikan, akan ada potensi luaran berupa: 1) peningkatan mutu layanan jasa transaksi rosok yang mencakup sistem neraca digital yang terhubung dengan komputer untuk meningkatkan akurasi dan perhitungan harga dengan komputer untuk mempercepat proses transaksi; 2) peningkatan akuntabilitas keuangan pada lapak rosok yang memudahkan dalam penghitungan jumlah transaksi (jenis dan jumlah barang, nilai transaksi, periode); aliran kas (cash flow); keuntungan; zakat; bagi hasil bagi pemasok; dan biaya perawatan lapak.

Abstract

In the past decade, the general method for measuring the performance of research and scientific publications in a Study Program at a Higher Education is by the Rough Value (Nilai Kasar, NK) calculated per three years. This value is derived from the accreditation instrument. In fact, the calculation of the performance of research and scientific publications with NK cannot represent an annual performance. Therefore, this paper presents a new method for calculating research and scientific publications performance with an index (IP-PS and IPub-PS), which is calculated annually. An example of quality measurement practice in the Automotive Diploma Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang. As a result, calculations with IP-PS and IPub-PS are more likely to present real conditions per year than using NK.

Abstract

During this time, the AFR control systems on the Ligh Duty Vehicles (LDVs) generally only engage the engine condition, such as manifold pressure, engine speed. In fact, fuel consumption is not only influenced by the engine dynamics but also influenced by outside factors such as gear position (transmission) and vehicle speed. Therefore, this paper presents a simulation to control the Air to Fuel Ratio (AFR) on Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) engine that accommodated engine dynamics, vehicle speed dynamics, and gear position dynamics (transmission). Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) was selected for AFR modeling because of the engine work in a non-linear condition. The simulation results show that the model developed is able to control the AFR on the vehicle speed changes. Even, the system is able to perform fuel cut-off at the time of deceleration from high speeds.
