Abstract

Efforts to increase knowledge or understanding are with health education. Education is the process of not knowing about the value of health to knowing and from being unable to overcome one's health problems to be more independent.  Purpose of this study is to determine the effect of effective cough education on the independence of children's parents. The quantifiable research method with the design used quick experiments with pre-test research design and post-test design. The statistical test results showed that the value of knowledge before being given education was 19.56 in the measurement after being given education, an average value of 24.34 was obtained, with a variable knowledge value of P-Value: 0.000 and the independence of parents of children P Value: 0.027. The conclusion is that there is a difference between people's knowledge and independence for pre-test and posttest, so it can be concluded that effective cough education affects the knowledge of children's parents. Edukasi sendiri merupakan proses tidak tahu tentang nilai kesehatan menjadi tahu dan dari tidak mampu mengatasi masalah kesehatan sendiri menjadi lebih mandiri. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui pengaruh edukasi batuk efektif terhadap kemandirian orang tua anak. Metode penelitian kuantitaif dengan desain yang digunakan quasy experiment dengan rancangan penelitian pre-test dan post-test design. Hasil Uji statistic menunjukan nilai pengetahuan sebelum diberikan edukasi adalah 19,56 pada pengukuran sesudah diberikan edukasi didapatkan nilai rata-rata 24,34, dengan variable pengetahuan nilai P-Value: 0,000 dan kemandiri orang tua anak nilai P Value: 0,027. Kesimpulan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara pengetahuan dan kemandirian orang untuk pretest dan posttest, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh edukasi batuk efektif terhadap pengetahuan orang tua anak, dan terdapat pengaruh edukasi batuk efektif terhadap kemandirian orang tua anak

Abstract

Smoking behavior is a familiar behavior in society, including adolescents. Smoking can have a negative impact on health for adolescents. Health literacy is a cognitive and social skill for someone to improve the ability to maintain better health. This study aimed to determine the relationship between health literacy and smoking behavior in adolescents. The design of this study was cross-sectional, involving adolescents as respondents with a total of 83 respondents. Data on health literacy and smoking behavior were collected through a questionnaire. The data collected was then analyzed descriptively in the form of proportions and continued with the Chi-square test. The results of the analysis showed that the p value was 0.000 with a positive correlation direction. It was concluded that there was a relationship between health literacy and smoking behavior in adolescents, so that health literacy could be used as a strategy to reduce smoking behavior in adolescents.Keywords: teenagers; health literacy; smoking behavior  ABSTRAK Perilaku merokok merupakan perilaku yang tidak asing di kalangan masyarakat termasuk remaja. Merokok dapat memberikan dampak buruk kesehatan bagi remaja. Literasi kesehatan merupakan suatu ketrampilan kognitif dan sosial bagi seseorang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan untuk menjaga kesehatan agar lebih baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara literasi kesehatan degnan perilaku merokok pada anak remaja. Desain penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional, yang melibatkan remaja sebagai responden dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 83 orang. Data tentang literasi kesehatan dan perilaku merokok dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif berupa proporsi dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Chi-square. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai p adalah 0,000 dengan arah korelasi positif. Disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara literasi kesehatan dengan perilaku merokok pada anak remaja, sehingga literasi kesehatan dapat digunakan sebagai strategi untuk mengurangi perilaku merokok pada remaja. Abstract

Introduction: Spiritual care for children is important in the care provided by nurses so that children do not feel guilty when being treated in the hospital. It is important for nurses to understand that the process of providing nursing care is bio-psycho-social and spiritual based. This study aimed to find out the relationship between knowledge, self-efficacy, and nurse behavior in the provision of spiritual care for school-age children in hospitals. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional approach with a purposive sampling technique followed by 102 nurses who cared for school-age children in a pediatric nursing room. Knowledge was measured using the Spiritual Care-Giving Scale, Self-Efficacy was measured by Burkhart Spiritual Care Inventory (BCI), and Nurse Spiritual Care Therapeutic Scale (NSCTS) to measure behavior. The data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, and Spearman correlation test. Results: There was no significant correlation between knowledge and behavior (p = 0.181; r = 0.133);  however, there was  a significant correlation of nurse behavior with self-efficacy (p = 0.027; r = 0.219), age (p = 0.015; r = 0.240), length of work (p = 0.021; r = 0.228), and spiritual care training (p = 0.001). Conclusion: Knowledge does not have a significant relationship with behavior. However self-efficacy, age, length of work, and spiritual care training significantly affects the nurse's behavior in providing spiritual care to school-age children in the hospital.
