Abstract

Abstract:In the midst of concern in dealing with the 2019 Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic, the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) passed the Omnibus Law on the Job Creation Bill (Ciptaker) at the plenary session of the closing session of the trial period I for the 2020-2021 Session Year on October 5, 2020. Two of the nine Party factions rejected the ratification, namely the Prosperous Kedilan Party (PKS) and the Democrat Party (PD). Since it was passed by the DPR, currently, the hot ball is with the President. The President has 30 days to suppress or not press in accordance with Article 73 of Law No. 12 of 2011 on the formation of legislation. Of course, the public is anxiously awaiting the President's choice.Keyword: Omnibus law, Controversy  Abstrak:Di tengah keprihatinan dalam menghadapi pandemi Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPR) RI mengesahkan Omnibus Law RUU Cipta Kerja (Ciptaker) pada Rapat paripurna sidang penutupan masa persidangan I Tahun Sidang 2020-2021 pada 5 Oktober 2020. Dua dari sembilan fraksi Partai menolak pengesahan yakni Fraksi Partai Kedilan Sejahtera (PKS), Fraksi Partai Demokrat (PD). Sejak di sahkan DPR, saat ini, bola panas ada di Presiden. Presiden punya waktu selama 30 hari untuk menekan atau tidak menekan sesuai Pasal 73 UU No 12 Tahun 2011 tentang pembentukan perundang-undangan. Abstract

The intellectual struggle that is presented in various print and electronic mass media is the impact of the freedom to obtain and disseminate information. The mass media that used to be only in the form of print media has now turned into online media which makes it easier for anyone to access it. Abstract

Every day, the amount of traffic on the internet grows. This is due to the fact that internet network backbone providers are becoming more promising as ISPs pursue backbones that are directly connected to countries whose network access goes directly to various countries. This paper investigates the rapid growth of digital developments in today's modern era. Abstract

During the early Covid-19 pandemic, led by controversial presidential figure Donald Trump, the US seemed to be overwhelmed by this microbial creature, proving to be one of the countries with the most Covid-19. Besides health impacts, there are many multi-effects afterward, such as economic, social, political, and so on, that must be faced after this Covid-19 outbreak. Moreover, the US will hold a presidential election in November 2020. This challenge makes Trump must focus on how to complete Covid-19 while maintaining electability as President. One of the methods adopted is by forming narration through Twitter. Donald Trump is an active Twitter user who often tweets about his stance. Therefore, this study wants to analyze Trump's Twitter tweet content based on propaganda based on six propaganda classifications based on Holly Thayer's Theory. The quantitative content analysis method is the systematic and replicable examination of symbols of communication. The object of research in this article is Twitter's @realDonaldTrump tweet. We analyzed Donald Trump's Twitter content in the period 1 March 2020-27 May 2020 with a systematic random sample method. Our result shows that Trump constructs a message to support his policy and maintain his electability.

Abstract

Abstrak Pendidikan merupakan salah satu variable ukuran kemajuan suatu bangsa. Kini, Pendidikan menjadi tolak ukur keadaban seorang manusia dan suatu negara. Amarty Sen pemenang nobel asal India memperkenalkan konsep ukuran Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM). Konsep ini kemudian di adopsi oleh Perserikatan Bangsa-bangsa (PBB) sebagai tolak ukur program Human Development Index (HDI) berbagai negara. Konsep pemerataan aktif yang dikemukakan seharusnya menjadi pertimbangan pemerintah membuat kebijakan ataupun mensingkronisasi kebijakan sebagai upaya mengoptimalkan salah satu kinerja pemerintah mengatasi rendahnya rata-rata pendidikan orang Indonesia yang saat ini kondisinya masih terjadi ketimpangan yang sangat jauh di antar propinsi.  Keyword: IPM, Pemerataan, Pendidikan

Abstract

This study aims to provide rationality regarding Donald Trump as a fake news aggregator. Donald Trump's leadership from 2017-2020 is controversial and created a massive wave of fake news. As a populist leader, he often issued statements that confused the public during his reign, causing people's trust in the Trump administration to decline. He made the statement not only on national television but also on social media. Social media is the right political communication funnel for any populist leader when it comes to audience reach. Donald Trump is an active user especially on Twitter and uses it to spread misinformation and disinformation to spread what he calls as a truth. Many statements make Donald Trump worthy of being called a fake news aggregator. This study uses a qualitative approach with the content analysis method. Thirty-two samples of Donald Trump's hoax statements that were examined found that the hoaxes spread by him were not limited to just one topic. This research has both theoretical and practical significance. From a theoretical point of view, this research contributes to the development of literature regarding the relationship between hoaxes and populist leaders. In practical terms, this literature contributes to understanding the characteristics of populists and how social media is used as a funnel to spread hoaxes.Keywords: Hoax; Donald Trump; Populism; social media; TwitterTrump, Twitter and Fake NewsAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan rasionalitas terkait Donald Trump sebagai fake news aggregator. Kepemimpinan Donald Trump pada periode 2017-2020 ini sangat kontroversial dan menciptakan sebuah gelombang fake news yang masif. Sebagai seorang pemimpin populis, dalam masa pemerintahannya, tak jarang dia mengeluarkan pernyataan yang menimbulkan kebingungan kepada masyarakat sehingga menyebabkan turunnya kepercayaan rakyat terhadap pemerintahan Donald Trump.Pernyataan itu dia lontarkan tidak hanya di media televisi nasional, tetapi juga media sosial. Bahkan, apabila berbicara jangkauan audience, media sosial menjadi corong komunikasi politik yang tepat bagi setiap pemimpin populis. Donald Trump merupakan pengguna aktif media sosial, khususnya Twitter. Donald Trump memanfaatkannya untuk menyebarkan misinformasi dan disinformasi untuk menyebarkan kebenaran versi miliknya. Ada banyak pernyataan yang membuat Donald Trump layak disebut sebagai fake news aggregator. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis konten. Sebanyak tiga puluh dua sampel pernyataan Donald Trump dikaji. Penulis menemukan bahwa berita bohong yang disebarkan olehnya tidak terbatas hanya satu topik semata. Penelitian ini memiliki signifikansi teoritis dan praktis. Dari segi teoritisnya, penelitian ini berkontribusi terhadap perkembangan literatur terkait hubungan antara hoaks dan pemimpin populis. Dalam segi praktisnya, literatur ini menjadi sumbangan pemikiran untuk memahami lebih lanjut karakteristik populis dan bagaimana media sosial digunakan sebagai corong untuk menyebarkan hoaks. Kata Kunci: Hoaks; Donald Trump; Populisme; Media Sosial; Twitter Трамп, Твиттер и фейковые новости АннотацияЭто исследование направлено на то, чтобы дать разумное представление о Дональде Трампе как агрегаторе фейковых новостей. Руководство Дональда Трампа в период 2017-2020 годов было очень спорным и вызвало массовую волну фейковых новостей. Как лидер популистов во время своего правления он часто делал заявления, которые вызывали замешательство у общественности, вызывая снижение доверия людей к правлению Дональда Трампа. Эти заявления он делал не только по национальному телевидению, но и в социальных сетях. Фактически, когда дело доходит до охвата аудитории, социальные сети являются правильной воронкой политической коммуникации для любого лидера популистов. Дональд Трамп - активный пользователь социальных сетей, особенно Твиттера. Дональд Трамп использует его для распространения недостоверной информации и дезинформации, чтобы распространить свою версию правды. Есть много заявлений, которые делают Дональда Трампа достойным называться агрегатором фейковых новостей. В этом исследовании используется качественный подход с методом контент-анализа. Были изучены 32 образца заявлений Дональда Трампа. Автор считает, что распространяемые им фейковые новости не ограничиваются одной темой. Это исследование имеет как теоретическое, так и практическое значение. С теоретической точки зрения, это исследование способствует развитию литературы о взаимоотношениях между обманом и популистскими лидерами. На практике эта литература является вкладом в дальнейшее понимание характеристик популистов и того, как социальные сети используются в качестве канала для распространения лжи.Ключевые слова: обман; Дональд Трамп; популизм; социальные сети; Твиттер

Abstract

The development of new media provides convenience in communicating and conveying the message, thus leading directly into a meeting without limited space, time and distance, users can easily participate in social interaction. Political parties take advantage of the development of new media in order to disseminate and political information to the public in order to obtain a good image. The Justice and Prosperous Party or sometime called PKS utilizing twitter as a social media in order to convey the message of political socialization through the official account DPP @PKSejahtera to 159.500 followers. This research is about the relationship of political socialization messages relations in social media twitter with the image of PKS. (Study: Political Socialization PKS through @PKSejahtera account). Purpose of this study is 1) how much the relationship of political socialization messages in social media Twitter with the image of PKS. This research method uses a quantitative approach. These results indicate that there is a relationship between socialization message via twitter to the image. The highest relationship found in the relationship of political socialization message with variable perception in the indicator 's political image.Keywords : Political Socialization Messages, Prosperous Justice Party, Twitter, Image.

Abstract:The concept of people's sovereignty truly lies in the representation of the people's representatives or legislators. The strong legislative control over the executive makes the allocation of natural and human resources well controlled. The power granted by the people to the executive can be limited constitutionally by the legislature. In this article the author wants to discuss the urgency of strengthening the legislature to strengthen a country's democratic system. Without a strong legislature, it is certain that a country's democratic system is weak, and vice versa.Keywords: Legislature, Democracy, State Abstrak:Konsep kedaulatan rakyat sejatinya berada pada representasi perwakilan rakyat atau legislator. Kuatnya kontrol legislatif terhadap eksekutif maka alokasi sumber daya alam dan manusia dapat terkontrol dengan baik. Kekuasaan yang diberikan rakyat kepada eksekutif dapat dibatasi secara konstitusional oleh legislatif. Dalam artikel ini penulis ingin membahas urgensi penguatan legislatif  untuk menguatkan sistem Demokrasi suatu negara. Abstract

AbstractNew media is one of the supporting facilities for the development of democracy in Indonesia. In the current era of globalization, people are required to be able to adjust to advances in technology and information to support the delivery of people's aspirations through new media. The new media is the right step to carry out political communication in the midst of society, even more so at this time it is not possible for politicians to be able to communicate and campaign directly to the public given the implementation of the New Normal and the continued spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. This study aims to determine political communication through new media related to the elections in Indonesia and how the role of new media related to political communication activities carried out at this time. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The results showed that the presence of new media in Indonesia drastically changed the course of politics and democracy in Indonesia. In addition, political communication through new media such as the internet and social media in the elections in Indonesia is considered as one of the effective and efficient breakthroughs considering the current conditions in the Republic of Indonesia are unstable due to the Covid-19 pandemic and obliging all people to remain compliant with government regulations.Keywords: Political Communication, New Media, Local Elections in Indonesia AbstrakMedia baru merupakan salah satu sarana penunjang pengembangan demokrasi di Indonesia. Di era globalisasi saat ini masyarakat dituntut untuk dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan kemajuan dibidang teknologi dan informasi guna mendukung penyampaian aspirasi masyarakat melalui media baru. Media baru merupakan langkah tepat untuk melakukan komunikasi politik ditengah masyarakat terlebih lagi saat ini sangat tidak memungkinkan bagi para politisi untuk dapat berkomunikasi dan berkampanye secara langsung kepada masyarakat mengingat penerapan New Normal dan masih adanya penyebaran pandemic Covid-19 di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komunikasi politik melalui media baru terkait pilkada di Indonesia dan bagaimana peran media baru terkait aktivitas-aktivitas komunikasi politik yang dijalankan saat ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kehadiran media baru di Indonesia mengubah secara drastis perjalanan politik dan demokrasi di Indonesia. Selain itu, Komunikasi politik melalui media baru seperti internet maupun media sosial dalam pilkada di Indonesia di nilai sebagai salah satu terobosan yang efektif dan efisien mengingat saat ini kondisi di Republik Indonesia sedang tidak stabil karena pandemic Covid-19 dan mewajibkan seluruh masyarakat untuk tetap patuh terhadap peraturan pemerintah.Kata Kunci: Komunikasi Politik, Media Baru, Pilkada Di Indonesia

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many sectors, especially the health and economic aspects. On the bright side, the potential for social solidarity in the community has been increased. New media technology becomes an oasis in the midst of anxiety when people are forced to distance themselves or carrying out social distancing. Net citizens are using new media technology to raise solidarity and appeal to prevent the spread of COVID-19 from various campaigns on social media. This research aimed to study social movements to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and employed a qualitative approach using content analysis. The results showed that the pandemic triggered the public to take advantage of various social media platforms by creating content about public education and campaigning to raise funds or crowdfunding. It is as if a blessing in disguise when this disaster resulted in the value of collaborative work or gotong-royong that comes from Pancasila, which characterizes the nation’s values so that people are motivated to remind each other to maintain health and also help others to ease the burden of those affected. The analysis of the study by the researchers revealed that public figures dominated this solidarity movement.
