Abstract

The change will always be experienced by the community, especially if it is already related to globalization. In addition to cultural degradation, the negative impact of globalization is lifestyle changes that are not following the values and norms of Indonesian society. At that time, religious values play an important role as a stronghold of negative things. The purpose of this study is to describe religious values by modern society amid globalization in the novel Impian Amerika by Kuntowijoyo. The data of this study are sentences or paragraphs describing the defense of religious values by modern society. The data source of this research is the Impian Amerika novel by Kuntowijoyo. The method used is descriptive qualitative with the technique of collecting recorded data and study of literature. Data analysis techniques using content analysis techniques. This research is important to do because, with the knowledge of religious values, a person will avoid negative things.  Religious values will protect us from negativity.

Abstract

AbstractThe loss of character students is currently a problem in educational institutions. Madrasah as Islamic educational institutions become media as well as channel the values of character education through learning activities. Javanese language learning contains a variety of material that is rich in character values. The purpose of this study, to analyze the integration of religious values in the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) of Javanese Language. Javanese language learning planning and information from resource persons are used as research data, while data sources are in the form of Javanese language RPP local content documents and class X Javanese teacher informants. The results of the study show that the lesson plans developed by teachers contain religious values, internalization of religious values in the plan The implementation of Javanese language learning is included in the initial activities, precisely the motivation and subject matter section by giving verses of the Koran or Hadith. Internalization of religious values in the form of giving verses of the Koran or Hadith in the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) can later be implemented in learning activities, so that these subjects can serve as contributions to the planting of religious values to students.Abstrak Hilangnya karakter peserta didik saat ini menjadi permasalahan di lembaga pendidikan. Madrasah sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam menjadi media sekaligus penyalur nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter melalui kegiatan pembelajaran. Pembelajaran bahasa Jawa memuat berbagai materi yang kaya akan nilai karakter. Tujuan dari penelitian ini, menganalisis pengintegrasian nilai religius dalam Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) Bahasa Jawa. Perencanaan Pembelajaran bahasa Jawa dan informasi dari narasumber digunakan sebagai data penelitian, sedangkan sumber data berupa dokumen RPP muatan lokal Bahasa Jawa kelas X dan informan guru bahasa Jawa kelas X. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa RPP yang dikembangkan oleh guru mengandung nilai religius, internalisasi nilai religius dalam Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran bahasa Jawa dimasukan pada kegiatan awal tepatnya bagian motivasi dan materi pelajaran dengan memberikan ayat Alquran atau hadis. Internalisasi nilai religius berupa pemberian ayat Alquran atau hadis di dalam Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) nantinya dapat diimplementasikan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, sehingga mata pelajaran tersebut dapat berfungsi sebagai konstribusi penanaman nilai religius kepada peserta didik.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the interest to know the use of language logic in printed mass media and in Solo. The selection of print media in this research is based on the rampant cases of errors that cause mistakes in the delivery of meaning or ambiguity. This research uses critical discourse analysis method. The study used data with the technique of noting. The findings indicate negative analytic opinions already exist that are being synthesized which lead to the impression of bad news. This certainly raises people’s anxiety about events that occur. The use of diction that does not match the hyperbolic size regardless of fact. The principle principle of attention to arousing may be used originally with wise use. Can be able to good communication relationship between society and government.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the development of scientific writing model based on PARMI. The stages included: creating prototypes; and developing models through four stages, focus group discussions, experts’ considerations, limited trials, and extensive trials. The research involved students and lecturers from STAIB (Islamic Bunga Bangsa Institute), STAIC (Islamic Institute of Cirebon), STAIMA (Islamic Institute of Ma’had Ali), and ISIF (Fahmina Institute of Islamic Studies) between July and December 2014. In these model included a philosophical foundation, either a concept or a principal; its application; and its effects. It finds that based on expert judgment, this model is feasible to be developed and piloted. The results of the limited trials provide some improvement, especially on the application of PARMI. Based on the results of extensive trials it can be concluded that PARMI can improve students’ ability in scientific writing.

Abstract

This study aims are: (1) to describe the relation of the title to the content; (2) to describe the organization of languages related to cohesion and coherence; (3) to describe sentence effectiveness; (4) to describe accuracy of diction usage; (5) to describe the correct use of spelling and punctuation; (6) to describe the relevance of the use of Indonesian language in Essay rubric of Mojok online media to learning writing articles in Senior High School. The method used is descriptive qualitative, Data sources used in the form of documents and informants. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Data collection technique using document analysis and interview techniques. Data validity is done by theory triangulation and source triangulation. Data analysis uses content analysis. The results of the study can be described as follows: (1) The structure of the essay in the title, introduction, content and closing has a good unity; (2) Organizing language related to cohesion and coherence is characterized by grammatical cohesion, lexical cohesion, and conjunction where lexical cohesion are the most widely used markers of essay writers; (3) The effectiveness of sentences is divided into three structures namely general sentence structure, parallel sentence structure, and periodic sentence structure that meets the requirements of unity, efficiency, emphasis, and variation which the structure of periodic sentences is the dominant sentence structure used in essay; (4) The correct use of diction is divided into special words, common words, expansion of meaning, narrowing of meaning, amelioration, correction, metaphor, and metonymy which is special words and common words is the most widely used by essay writers; (5) Accuracy in using spelling punctuation includes the use of letters, writing words, and using punctuation according to PUEBI, especially the use of capital letters and the use of periods; (6) The use of Indonesia language in the Essay Rubric of Mojok online media is relevant to write articles in senior high school.

Abstract

The effectuation of ASEAN Economic Community as of 2015 has demanded education institution to prepare qualified graduates equipped with various competencies according to their own fields of professionalism and expertise. In the ASEAN Economic Community era, each nation is predicted to tightly compete as to be a qualitatively and quantitatively prominent nation in its products either in the economic sector, in the cultural sector, or in the scientific and technological sector. It is necessary to be aware that the excellence or superiority of a nation is measured not only on the natural resources owned but also on the excellence of its human resources, in this case, namely: graduates of education institutions who are capable of encountering and dealing with all the future challenges promptly amid the very tight competition. To produce graduates with such profiles, at least a certain model of education is required, namely: the education model which is effectively able produce graduates bearing the expected characteristics. Similarly, the Indonesian language education shall be able to prepare learners with quality and excellence in the ASEAN Economic Community era. The learners (graduates) who are well-prepared to encounter ASEAN Economic Community shall bear the following: (1) in-depth mastery of science and technology (content); (2) good communication ability between the people; (3) high cognition or reliable intelligence; and (4) the characterization of national culture.

Abstract

Nilai profetik mengandung nilai-nilai terpuji yang dicontohkan oleh Nabi Muhammad saw, tidak hanya diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, nilai profetik dapat diimplementasikan dalam karya sastra.di sisi lain nilai profetik dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pembelajaran sastra, khususnya diperguruan tinggi secara akademisi memiliki tingkat pemahaman yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan 1) implementasi nilai profetik pada novel Bulan Nararya karya Sinta Yudisia. 2) sebagai bahan referensi dalam pembelajaran sastra, 3) sebagai sarana menanamkan nilai pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi dan wawancara, bentuk data berupa kata atau kalimat yang mengacu pada penelitian, validasi data menggunakan trianggulasi sumber data dan teori, teknik analisis menggunakan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian ini (1) Menunjukan bahwa studi nilai profetik bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai materi pembelajaran sastra sebagai pendekatan sastra yang digunakan dalam mengapresiasi karya sastra. (2) Studi nilai profetik dapat dijadikan sarana dalam menanamkan nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam karya sastra. Dengan adanya penelitian  ini mampu memberikan pengalaman belajar baru dengan menggunakan kajian baru dengan tujuan memperluas khazanah pengetahuan tentang sastra.

Abstract

After conducting research with an in-depth study of the moral aspects with the perspective of Islamic Archipelago in the children’s story on Bobo Magazine and Kompas Daily, two substantial findings were found. First, the dominant moral values in children’s stories are the value of hard work, honesty, obedience, responsibility, friendship, courage, discipline, compassion, sharing, and creativity, all of which are related to children’s moral formation. Second, values moral stories of children in the context of the Islamic archipelago related to the relationship of children’s moral values in children’s stories in the context of Islam based on the Al-Qur’an and Al-Hadits and the context of children’s moral values in children in the context of Indonesian humanity and Archipelago culture.

Abstract

Dalam rangka mewujudkan perlindungan terhadap siswa di sekolah terhadap paham radikalisme maka pendidikan nilai-nilai kebangsaan untuk siswa sekolah diperlukan sebagai bentuk kepedulian dari setiap pihak, baik pemerintah, masyarakat, keluarga terutama sekolah. Pendidikan nilai kebangsaan untuk siswa akan terbentuk jika semua pihak memilki kesadaran akan pentingnya pendidikan nilai kebangsaan dimulai semenjak dini. Sekolah saat ini sangat rentan disusupi oleh paham dan gerakan radikalisme. Hal ini dikarenakan belum ada satu pun kebijakan spesifik untuk melindungi atau memproteksi sekolah dari penetrasi paham dan gerakan radikalisme. Untuk itu, perlu adanya langkah konkret dalam hal mencegah radikalisasi dan penanaman nilai-nilai kebangsaan.. Pendidikan nilai kebangsaan pada siswa sekolah inilah yang menjadi dasar pembentukan awal karena meluruskan sebatang ranting jauh lebih mudah daripada meluruskan sebatang pohon, maka dari itu pendidikan nilai kebangsaan yang paling efektif adalah pendidikan pada siswa sekolah .Pengembangan nilai-nilai budaya dan karakter bangsa siswa sekolah harus dilakukan dengan tepat. Jika hal ini tidak bisa tercapai, pesan moral yang akan disampaikan orang tua dan pendidik kepada siswa menjadi terhambat. Pengembangan nilai moral untuk siswa sekolah bisa dilakukan di dalam tiga tri pusat pendidikan yang ada. Yaitu, keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat. Dalam pengembangan nilai moral untuk siswa sekolah perlu dilakukan dengan sangat hati-hati. Hal ini dikarenakan siswa sekolah adalah anak yang sedang dalam tahap perkembangan praoperasional konkret. Maka dari itu, tim pengabdi mengajukan kegiatan pengabdian berkaitan dengan penanaman nilai-nilai kebangsaan terhadap siswa sekolah dengan produk luaran berupa antologi puisi karya siswa yang bertujuan untuk mengatasi perpecah-belahan masyarakat Indonesia ini dan mencegah radikalisme siswa, mengingat banyaknya kelompok separatis lahir di Indonesia ini maka salah satu cara untuk memeutuskan rantai gejolak yang bertujuan menghancurkan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI). Jadi, kegiatan pengabdian ini tidak nhanya memberikan pembekalan tentang internalisasi nilai-nilai kebangsaan pada siswa tetapi juga akan diintegrasikan dengan produk luaran berupa antologi puisi karya siswa yang akan dibimbing secara komprehensif dengan mengambil tema penguatan nilai-nilai kebangsaan Indonesia dan nasionalisme bagi generasi muda penerus bangsa

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of foreign languages on billboards in Surakarta. This research was a single case study obtained from the objective data of billboards along Slamet Riyadi Street Surakarta. The data sources were from the commercial billboards considering several criteria that have been determined in which the billboards should not be owned by either district government or individual,  for campaign purposes, made in 2018, and so on. Those billboards are billboard from Gofood, McDonald's, and Samsung Galaxy Note9. Subsequently, effective data were obtained through observation and interview from informants in readability process. Manifestation of billboard as a form of discourse generates meaning based on critical discourse analysis approach. In addition to the function of billboard as marketing aspect of the company, it also functions to deliver important information, knowledge, and educative information for the readers. This research results show that the readability, meaning, and function of foreign languages assumption on advertisement of billboard are different from the marketing concept. Nonetheless, an emergence of foreign languages provides space for the readers to learn the vocabulary in facing globalization era. Moreover, it also reminds us not to forget the existing culture in Surakarta.
