Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan masalah yang terjadi dalam implementasi  program gerakan literasi sekolah di masa pandemi covid-19 melalui  pembiasaan membaca. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini meliputi informan (narasumber), peristiwa, serta dokumen atau arsip. Tempat penelitian pada SDN 1 Tegalombo Kecamata Kauman Kabupaten Ponorogo. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi program gerakan literasi sekolah melalui pembiasaan membaca pada peserta didik SDN 1 Tegalombo di masa pandemi covid-19 tidak bisa berjalan secara baik karena banyak mengalami kendala, sehingga hasil yang diperoleh tidak maksimal sebagaimana sebelum wabah terjadi. Dalam program ini mau tidak mau peserta didik, orang tua dan pendidik harus belajar dan melek IT. Banyaknya masalah yang terjadi dalam implementasi program pembiasaan membaca pada SDN 1 Tegalombo dimasa pandemi Covid-19 tersebut tidak hanya karena faktor SDM saja tetapi karena faktor SDA juga

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan   superioritas tokoh utama yang diperankan oleh seorang laki-laki dalam novel Hujan karya Tere Liye. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang telah ditetapkan, metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Dalam penelitian ini data yang akan dikumpulkan yaitu superioritas seorang tokoh utama laki-laki. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah Novel Hujan, Karya Tere Liye. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kepustakaan, baca, dan catat. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian  dapat disimpukan bahwa Konsep Alfred Aldler dalam tokoh utama laki-laki di novel hujan karya Tere Liye menunjukkan adanya dua bidang superioritas dalam bidang sosial dan teknologi.

Abstract

Abstract. This study is conducted to see if there is a significant correlation of the EFL students’ speaking anxiety and their speaking performance. It used quantitative research method with correlation research design. There were 36 eleventh grade students of MAN 2 Madiun, participating in this study. Data were collected through using a speaking test and a questionnaire of the students’ speaking anxiety. The speaking test was assessed by using Brown’s speaking assessment and the questionnaire was measured by using 1-5 Likert-scale. The questionnaire was adapted from Woodrow (2015) to investigate the students’ speaking anxiety. The data were analyzed using normality and Pearson correlation test of IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) version 22. The result shows that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. There is a significant correlation among two variables that they are strongly negative correlated. The speaking anxiety is affecting the students’ speaking performance. It simply can be said that the more anxious someone the worst speaking score they get. Keywords: Speaking Performance, Anxiety, Speaking Anxiety

Abstract

Abstract: The study aims to investigate how Indonesian authors write their English and Indonesian research article (RA) discussion sections. There were 7 Indonesian authors who write 1 English research article and 1 Indonesian research article published in national accredited journals. The study executed rhetorical moves designed by Swales (1990) to be used here as the instrument. In general, the findings show that 7 Indonesian authors operate not too different rhetorical patterns of English and Indonesian RA discussion sections viewed from moves occurrences, completeness, and order of the move structures. Nearly all 7 Indonesian authors show 5 moves in the English RA discussion section consisting of statement of the results-(un)expected outcome-reference to previous research-explanation-deduction and hypothesis. They use 6 moves in the Indonesian RA discussion section consisting of statement of the results-(un)expected outcome-reference to previous research-explanation-exemplification-deduction and hypothesis. However, each author has his/her specific move structure seen from the moves order and moves frequency. The specific uses of move structure are explained with examples in the forms of sentences or phrases. Thus, the authors are in the position of having their rhetorical patterns suited the context and communities.Keywords: Indonesian authors, research articles (RA), discussion sections, rhetorical patterns PILIHAN POLA RETORIKA PENULIS INDONESIA DALAM MENULIS BAGIAN PEMBAHASAN ARTIKEL PENELITIAN BERBAHASA INGGRIS DAN BERBAHASA INDONESIA Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti bagaimana penulis Indonesia menulis bagian pembahasan artikel penelitian berbahasa Inggris dan berbahasa Indonesia. Data diperoleh dari 7 penulis Indonesia yang pernah menulis dan mempublikasi 1 artikel penelitian berbahasa Inggris dan 1 artikel penelitian berbahasa Indonesia di jurnal ilmiah terakreditasi nasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pola retorika (moves) yang dikembangkan oleh Swales (1990) sebagai instrumen untuk menganalisis bagian pembahasan artikel penelitian. Secara umum, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketujuh penulis Indonesia memilih pola retorika yang tidak terlalu berbeda pada bagian pembahasan yang berbahasa Inggris dan berbahasa Indonesia, dilihat dari frekuensi kemunculan moves, kelengkapan moves, dan urutan movesnya. Sebagian besar penulis memilih 5 moves pada bagian pembahasan yang berbahasa Inggris, yaitu statement of the results-(un)expected outcome-reference to previous research-explanation-deduction and hypothesis. Bagian pembahasan yang berbahasa Indonesia memiliki 6 moves, yaitu statement of the results-(un)expected outcome-reference to previous research-explanation-exemplification-deduction and hypothesis. Walaupun begitu, setiap penulis memiliki pilihan moves tertentu dari segi urutan moves dan frekuensi kemunculannya. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penulis-penulis Indonesia tersebut memilih pola retorikanya disesuaikan dengan konteks dan komunitas pembaca artikel penelitian di jurnal ilmiah yang mereka pilih.Kata Kunci: Penulis Indonesia, artikel penelitian (RA), bagian pembahasan, pola retorika

Abstract

This research is conducted to explain about the Effect of Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Method on Recount text Writing. The objectives of this research are to describe the effect of two tay two stray (TSTS) method on recount text writing at eighth grade students of SMPN 2 Sawahan. The sample of this research are 8-A consisted of 21 students in the eighth grade of SMPN 2 Sawahan. The research approach that is used in this study is quantitative. The research was conducted by using experiment. The technique that is used in this research is paired sample T-test that has pre-test and post-test. The result of this research shows that Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Method gives significant effect to the students’ writing ability in recount text. It can be seen from the value of t  is -8,840 with significant value 0,000. It shows that the probabilities value of students’ writing ability is lower than 0,05 (0,000<0,05) level of significant. So, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. It can be stated that there is a significant different of students’ writing ability before being taught using Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Method and after being taught using Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Method. The conclusion of this research is Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Method help the students to increase their achievement in writing recount text and this method also has possitive effect on students’ writing ability especially on recount text.

Abstract

This study aims at investigating the effectiveness of KWL (Know, Want, and Learned) strategy on the students’ reading comprehension. Quasi-experimental design was used in the study. The populationtaken was the seventh grade students of SMP PGRI 6 Malang. There were 54 students belonging to class VII C as the experimental group and VII A as the control group. Both pre and post tests were executed to obtain the data. The primary data were gained by comparing the result of post-test from the experimental group and that of the control group. The result of post-test exhibits that the sig. (2 tailed) or p- value is 0.000 lower than 0.05 (the level of significance). It means that the students who are taught by using KWL strategy have better reading comprehension than those who are not. The results of questionnaire show that the students give very good responses related to the implementation of KWL strategy. Overall, the results imply that the students’ reading comprehension can be effectively increased by using KWL strategy.

Abstract

The objective of this experimental research is to know whether or not there is an effect of using Crossword Puzzle on the Eighth grade students’ Reading Comprehension of Descriptive texts at SMP Negeri 1 Barat. The researcher uses design True-experimental research in sub design The Randomized Posttest-Only Control Group Design.  This research uses random sampling. The data collection method is test.  The researcher uses primary data consisted of the students’ scores collected by a Reading Comprehension. The researcher uses Pair-Sample t-test to know the result whether it was statistically significant. In research procedure the researcher uses planning, application, and reporting. The results of the research are that: (1) the procedures of teaching reading by using Crossword Puzzle consists of preparation and teaching and learning process. In preparation activities, the researcher prepares the material of descriptive text and RPP or lesson plan. In teaching and learning process, the researcher does three activities in two meetings. The first meeting, teaching a reading by using a conventional technique and the second meeting, by using a Crossword Puzzle. (2) The effect of using a Crossword Puzzle on the eighth grade students’ reading comprehension of the descriptive text at SMP Negeri 1 Barat is significant. It can be seen from the significant value (2-tailed) of  that is 0.000.  It is lower than 0.05. It means that the mean score of one class is different. The mean score of pretest is 55.7813 while the mean score of the post test is 96.7188. It means that a crossword puzzle is effective to teach a reading comprehension..

Abstract

The ecranization process allows for change. With this change, generally, the audience will compare between the two. Thus, the audience's appreciation and even the novelist of a film often create satisfaction or vice versa. The purpose of this research is to describe and explain the expansion of the novel Hanum & Rangga: Faith & The City into the film Hanum & Rangga: Faith & The City in terms of plot. This type of research used in this research is qualitative with a qualitative descriptive method. From the results of the expansion analysis, it was found 46 shrinkage findings, 30 additional findings, and 43 varied findings. Thus, the theory of ecranization proves that the storyline of a film that departs from the novel will not be the same.Proses ekranisasi memungkingkan adanya perubahan. Dengan adanya perubahan tersebut, umumnya penonton akan membandingkan antara keduanya. Maka, apresiasi penonton bahkan penulis novel dari sebuah film seringkali menimbulkan kepuasan atau justru sebaliknya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan ekranisasi novel Hanum & Rangga: Faith & The City ke dalam film Hanum & Rangga: Faith & The City dari segi alur. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dari hasil analisis ekranisasi ditemukan 46 temuan penciutan, 30 temuan penambahan, dan 43 temuan perubahan bervariasi. Dengan demikian, teori ekranisasi membuktikan bahwa alur cerita sebuah film yang berangkat dari novel tidak akan sama persis.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain (1) the conditions of critical reading learning in SMK Negeri 1 Ponorogo students, (2) the implementation of recreation-procreative learning models in learning to read critical explanatory texts, and (3) the constraints faced by teachers and students. This descriptive qualitative research uses data sources in the form of informants, events, and documents. The selected informants were Indonesian Language teachers and class XI students. Data were collected in-depth interview techniques, observation techniques, and documentation studies. Validity through extending the participation of researchers, making observations diligently and carefully, and triangulating data sources. Data analysis was performed using an interactive analysis model. The results showed that: (1) critical reading learning has not been implemented well due to the low student interest in reading, and the inaccuracy of teachers in choosing learning methods, materials, and media, (2) learning to read critical explanatory texts with recreational-procreation models can create an atmosphere new learning that is fun for students, encourages the growth and development of critical thinking skills, encourages students to express their opinions critically, and improves other language skills, (3) the obstacles faced by teachers and students, namely the lack of tools and learning media, students are less active, the teacher has not been able to become a facilitator of critical reading learning well, as well as the limited language skills of students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan (1) kondisi pembelajaran membaca kritis pada siswa SMK Negeri 1 Ponorogo, (2) implementasi model pembelajaran rekreasi-prokreasi dalam pembelajaran membaca kritis teks eksplanasi, dan (3) kendala-kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru dan siswa. Penelitian dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan sumber data, berupa: informan, peristiwa, dan dokumen. Informan yang dipilih yaitu guru Bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas XI. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, teknik observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Validitas melalui memperpanjang keikutsertaan peneliti, mengadakan pengamatan dengan tekun dan saksama, dan melakukan triangulasi sumber data. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pembelajaran membaca kritis belum terlaksana dengan baik karena rendahnya minat baca siswa, dan kekurangtepatan guru dalam memilih metode, materi, dan media pembelajaran, (2) pembelajaran membaca kritis teks eksplanasi dengan model rekreasi-prokreasi mampu menciptakan suasana pembelajaran baru yang menyenangkan bagi siswa, mendorong tumbuh kembang kemampuan berpikir kritis, mendorong siswa berani mengemukakan pendapat secara kritis, dan meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa lainnya, (3) kendala-kendala yang dihadapi guru dan siswa, yaitu kurang tersedianya alat dan media pembelajaran, siswa kurang aktif, guru belum mampu menjadi fasilitator pembelajaran membaca kritis secara baik, serta terbatasnya kemampuan berbahasa siswa.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan simpulan: (1) perbedaan kemampuan mengapresiasi cerpen siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran rekresai-prokreasi dan yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) perbedaan kemampuan mengapresiasi cerpen siswa yang memiliki minat baca karya sastra yang tinggi dan siswa yang memiliki minat baca karya sastra yang rendah, dan (3) pengaruh interaksi model pembelajaran rekresai-prokreasi dan minat baca karya sastra terhadap kemampuan mengapresiasi cerpen siswa. Jenis penelitian eksperimen yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen (quasi experiment). Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik random sampling. Penentuan anggota sampel dengan teknik cluster random sampling diperoleh 4 kelas dari 8 kelas yang ada. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan teknik angket dan teknik tes. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik, meliputi: (1) analisis deskriptif, (2) uji prasyarat, dan (3) analisis inferensial. Teknik analisis data untuk menguji hipotesis yaitu Anava (analisis variansi) dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ada perbedaan kemampuan mengapresiasi cerpen siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran rekresai-prokreasi dan yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) ada perbedaan kemampuan mengapresiasi cerpen siswa yang memiliki minat baca karya sastra yang tinggi dan siswa yang memiliki minat baca karya sastra yang rendah, dan (3) ada pengaruh interaksi implementasi model pembelajaran rekresai-prokreasi dan minat baca karya sastra terhadap kemampuan mengapresiasi cerpen siswa. Kata Kunci: Model pembelajaran rekreasi-prokreasi, cerita pendek Abstract This study aims to obtain: (1) the difference on the ability to appreciate the short stories of students taught by the recreation-procreation learning model and those taught with conventional learning models, (2) the difference on the ability to appreciate short stories of students who have high interests in reading literary works and students who have low interests in reading literary works, and (3) the effect on the interaction of the recreation-procreative learning model and interests in reading literary works on the ability to appreciate students' short stories. The type of experimental research used was quasi-experimental research (quasi experiment). Sampling was done by random sampling technique. The sample members was selected by cluster random sampling technique and it obtained 4 classes of 8 existing classes. The data of this study were collected by using questionnaires and tests. Data analysis used was statistical analysis. The variance test used in this study was: (1) descriptive data analysis, (2) prerequisite test, and (3) inferential data analysis. The data analysis technique used to test the hypotheses in this study was ANOVA (variance of analysis) of two paths. The results show that: (1) there is a significant difference on the abilities to appreciate short stories of students who were taught with the recreation-procreationlearning model and those taught with conventional learning models, (2) there is a significant difference on the abilities to appreciate short stories of students who have a high interest in reading literary works and students who have a low interest in reading literary works, and (3) there is an interaction effect on the implementation of the recreation-procreation learning model and students’ interests in reading literary works towards students’ abilities to appreciate short stories.
