Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan interaksi antara pembelajaran IPA menggunakan model Problem Solving dan Problem Posing dengan kreativitas verbal siswa terhadap kemampuan penyelesaian masalah IPA kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pamekasan tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain penelitian Factorial Experimental. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pamekasan. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas VIII I sebanyak 29 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dan kelas VII J sebanyak 30 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen 2. Teknik analisis data pengujian hipotesis kemampuan penyelesaian masalah IPA siswa menggunakan Uji anava dua jalan dengan desain 2×3 faktorial dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut Scheffe dengan program SPSS versi 18.00. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa: (1) ada perbedaan pengaruh penggunaan model Problem Solving dan Problem Posing terhadap kemampuan penyelesaian masalah IPA siswa; (2) ada perbedaan pengaruh kreativitas verbal terhadap kemampuan penyelesaian masalah IPA siswa; (3) ada interaksi antara pembelajaran IPA menggunakan model Problem Solving dan Problem Posingdengan kreativitas verbal terhadap kemampuan penyelesaian masalah IPA siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil Scientific Reasoning Ability (SRA) siswa pada materi gerak benda serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi SRA siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan mix method. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan nonprobability sampling jenis purposive sampling dengan sampel kelas VIII A 31 siswa Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020 SMPN 9 Gresik. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes 3 soal uraian yang disesuaikan dengan indikator SRA dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tipe jawaban SRA siswa pada indikator Correlational Reasoning adalah Intutive 32,25%, No Relationship 12,9%, dan One Cell 54,8%. Pada indikator Probabilistic Reasoning tidak menjawab 9,7% dan Intutive 90,3%. Pada indikator Proportional Reasoning tidak menjawab 48,4% dan Intutive 51,6%. Persentase kemampuan tiap indikator SRA yaitu Correlational Reasoning 61% (baik), Probabilistic Reasoning 24,8% (kurang), dan Proportional Reasoning 14,2% (sangat kurang). Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa SRA siswa tergolong masih dalam level rendah. Faktor yang mempengaruhi SRA siswa rendah adalah metode pembelajaran yang digunakan guru dan siswa belum memahami konsep. Dari penelitian SRA siswa ini dapat diketahui tingkat SRA siswa sehingga dapat digunakan oleh guru untuk evaluasi dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kaitan proses produksi garam yang dilakukan petani garam di Madura dengan pengetahuan ilmiah untuk digunakan sebagai sumber pembelajaran IPA khususnya kimia.  Penelitian ini merupakan telaah literatur dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kajian literatur dan ditambah data pendukung berupa hasil observasi proses produksi garam yang dilakukan di desa Bunder Kecamatan Pademawu Kabupaten Pamekasan Jawa Timur. Hasil penelitian diharapkan mampu memberikan wawasan kepada stakeholder pendidikan khususnya guru, siswa dam masyarakat bahwa terdapat kaitan antara budaya masyarakat yaitu garam dengan ilmu kimia sehingga diharapkan mampu memberikan pengetahun bahwa sumber informasi pembelajaran tidak hanya dari text book tetapi sumber belajar dapat berupa aktifitas masyarakat yang telah dilakukan turun temurun dan kemudian ditransformasi ke pengetahuan ilmiah.

Abstract

This research aims to validate the feasibility of VLog media with a science-edutaiment approach. This development research uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research was conducted at Bangkalan Public High School 5, a class VII student population in the Solar System material. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with a sample of one class VII G. The results showed that the developed profuk could be declared suitable for use with a percentage of media feasibility of 78.6%, feasibility of 92% and an average of 85.3% with very valid category. Based on these results it can be stated that VLog media is feasible to use

Abstract

Model pembelajaran Susan Loucks Horsley merupakan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan 5 domain taksonomi IPA oleh McCormack dan Yager, yaitu domain pengetahuan, keterampilan proses, kreativitas, menghubungkan, dan mengaplikasikan. Lima domain tersebut dapat diterapkan ke dalam beberapa sintaks model pembelajaran Susan Loucks Horleyuntuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.Misalkan pada domain mengaplikasian dan menghubungkan, hal tersebut dapat melatih siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritisnya ketika sedang mencari informasi melalui kegiatan ilmiah. Penelitian menggunakan metode pre eksperimen dengan desain One-Group Pretest Posttest Desain dan dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Pamekasan dengan populasi semua siswa kelas VIII pada pokok bahasan bunyi, getaran gelombang, sistem pendengaran manusia, dan sistem sonar. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian sebanyak satu kelas. Pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan tes untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t berpasangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Susan Loucks horsley terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,000, sedangkan –thitung ≤ ttabel ≤ thitungyaitu -39,0482,04539,048 (2) terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Susan Loucks Horsley, yaitu 0,75 berdasarkan uji N-Gain Score dengan kategori tinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the Two Stay Two Stray assisted by Mind Mapping to improve students' understanding of concept. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted at SMP Islam Nurus Syamsi with a sample selection technique using the saturated sample method, namely class VIII students. Collecting data using observation, questionnaire, test, and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used paired t-test. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of the two stay two stray  learning model with the aid of mind mapping got an average result of 97.15% with very good criteria, (2) there were differences in students' understanding of concepts before and after the application of the two stay two stray learning model assisted by mind mapping with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 H0 was rejected, (3) increase in students' understanding concept after the implementation of the two stay two stray learning model assisted by mind mapping in the medium category was 69,23% and the high category was 30,77% with an average gain value of 0.6531 included the medium category, (4) student responses to the implementation of the two stay two stray learning model assisted by mind mapping obtained an average percentage of 87.02% including the very good category.

Abstract

Critical thinking is one of the skills needed to face life's challenges. The SETS learning model is centered on surrounding problems by integrating the four elements of SETS, while BYOD can be used to complete tasks anywhere and anytime. The integration of SETS and BYOD is expected to be able to increase students’ critical thinking skills on vibration and wave study. This study aims to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills by implementing the SETS model Integrated with BYOD on vibration and wave study for class VIII SMP. The research method used in this study is a quasi-experimental research design with a nonequivalent control group design which was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Lenteng, Sumenep Regency, for the 2021/2022 Academic Year. Hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney test, and analysis of increased students' critical thinking skills using the N-Gain Score test. The results showed that the implementation of the learning implementation of SETS model Integrated with BYOD was a very good category. The implementation of the SETS model Integrated with BYOD affects student’s critical thinking skills. The increase in students' critical thinking skills based on the N-Gain Score test in the experimental class is a medium category, while the control class is a low category. The results of the student response questionnaire to the implementation of the SETS model Integrated with BYOD are in the good category. This study concludes that the implementation of the SETS model Integrated with BYOD on vibration and wave study can make students increase critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Multi-representation ability is one of the important skills to be developed. One of them is because it can play a role in helping students master the material being taught. In science subjects, one of the materials that uses quite diverse forms of representation is simple planes. This shows that there is a possibility that students' multi-representation abilities will affect students' understanding of the material. In addition, another factor that can influence is the adversity quotient of students. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the students' multi-representation ability on simple plane material in terms of Adversity Quotient Aspects. The research method used is a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII G UPTD SMP Negeri 2 Bangkalan with a total of 30 students. The research instrument used was a multi-representation ability test and interview guidelines. The results of this study are the high category of multi-representation abilities consisting of 4 students, the medium category consisting of 22 students, and the low category consisting of 4 students with an average test score of 58.33. The results of the interview show that students' multi-representation abilities and understanding of simple plane materials support and influence each other. Students with multi-representation abilities and good understanding of the material can easily understand the questions given and can also give correct answers, thus obtaining high test scores. owever, the adversity quotient is not always directly proportional to student test results.

Abstract

Abstract This research was conducted because there are still many junior high school students who have lowargumentation skills so the purpose of this study is to improve students' argumentation skills with theArgument Driven Inquiry (ADI) learning model. The research method was included in the Pre-experimentwith One Group Pretest-posttest Design which was carried out at Al-Hamidiyah Blega Junior High Schoolfor the 2021/2022 Academic Year. Data collection techniques are carried out through tests, questionnaires,observation, and documentation. Furthermore, the hypothesis test was carried out using paired samplet-test. The results showed that there were differences in the results of the implementation of the ADIlearning model toward the students' argumentation skills with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05, then H0was rejected and H1 was accepted. The results of calculating the n-gain score using SPSS have an averagescore of 0.66 with moderate criteria. Student responses positively toward the implementation of the ADIlearning model with an average score of 84.15; The implementation of the ADI learning model obtained ascore of 88% with a good category. It can be concluded that the implementation of the Argument DrivenInquiry learning model can improve students' argumentation skills.

Abstract

his study aims to determine the generic science skills of students before and after learning using the Experiential Learning learning model. The research method in this study used a pre-experiment in the form of One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. The research instrument used was using a generic science test, student response questionnaires and observation sheets using the purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used paired sample t test. Based on the results of the study, it was found that (1) the Experiential Learning Model had an influence in training students generic science skills as evidenced by the significance obtained, namely 0.000 <0.05, (2) The average learning implementation of the Experiential The learning model was 100% with a very good category,Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Experiential learning model has an influence on students' generic science skills so that the learning process is important to implement in other materials.
