Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is a disease that not only has a physical impact but can affect psychological conditions such as anxiety. Anxiety will have an impact on increasing the patient's blood pressure. For this reason, nursing actions can be given such as foot massage to reduce the anxiety of patients with hypertension. The purpose of this study was to describe nursing care with the application of foot massage therapy to reduce anxiety in nursing care for patients with hypertension cases at Poso Hospital. Method : The research method is using a descriptive method with a case study approach. The study subjects were hypertensive patients with anxiety problems. Result : The results of the study Mrs. L revealed pain in the head and nape, the pain felt like stabbing, Mrs. L said she felt anxious when blood pressure increased and felt worried if the disease got worse and complications occurred, blood pressure 173/120 mmHg. Nursing problems are acute pain, anxiety and activity intolerance. Implementation is carried out for 4 days. Evaluation after implementation of the application of foot massage therapy there are changes with the results of client anxiety decreasing from moderate anxiety to mild anxiety, clients feel more relaxed and comfortable and blood pressure decreases 140/100 mmHg. Conclusion : The conclusion that the application of foot massage therapy can reduce anxiety in hypertensive patients. Suggestions patients can do foot massage independently according to what the researcher teaches.

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic can have an impact on both physical and psychological problems for every individual, especially those who have to experience isolation/ quarantine. The forms of distress that arise due to COVID-19 inclide: sleep problems, fear of viruses, difficulty focusing, anxiety, and depression. Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) is one technique that has been proven effective in dealing with anxiety and increasing motivation. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge, reduce anxiety, and reduce stress for confirmed Covid-19 patients. This community service was carried out in the Gebang Rejo Village by using video as a medium.This education related of the impact or danger of anxiety was attended by 24 participants, consisting of 20 women and 4 men. The community was very enthustiastic in listening to the educational materials. After providing education, then continued with the provision of SEFT therapy. From the results of the evaluation of the level of anxiety after community service, it was found that there was a decrease in the number of severe anxiety from 20,8% to 2,4%, moderate anxiety from 37,5%  to 20,8% and an increase in mild anxiety from 41,6% to 75%. The conclusion is that giving SEFT therapy can reduce anxiety levels inconvirmed covid-19 patients.
