Abstract

The utilization of the resources of shrimp penaeid in the eastern part of the archipelagic waters Aru and surrounding sub-region III, to estimate the abundance of shrimp by using the swept area method. The aim of research to determine the composition of species caught by shrimp trawlers using a double rig, Comparative production of penaeid shrimp catch in 2014 and in 2012. Potential sustainable and penaeid shrimp with Swept area method. Results Composition Penaeid Shrimp Catch in archipelagic waters Aru and surrounding sub-region (III). There are 9 types of penaeid shrimp with the amount of catches of 17 988 kg and is the most dominant type of Green Tiger Prawn (Penaeus semisulcatus), while the lowest amount was kind Banana Prawn (Penaeus merguensis). The results of a comparative test with Chi Square (?2) turns Ho rejected and Ha accepted, wherein ?2 count 7.40 is greater than ?2 tables 0.05 (3.84) and ?2 tables 0.01 (6.63), this means that there are differences in yield catches in 2012 And in 2014 was very significant. There is a decline in production is very significant from 2012 until 2014. The potential outcome in the waters of the sub region Aru Islands and surrounding waters -III which covers 13,000 km2, where willingness stock (B) 579.58 tons, sustainable potential (MSY) amounted to 576.58 tons / year while the Total Allowable Catch (TAC) amounted to 463.67 tons / year.

Abstract

This paper describes the state of lobster resource which landed in Sorong, including species, fishing season, and the analysis of weight-length relationship. The measurements were carried out by using randomized sampling in three (3) lobster shelter in Sorong from September - November 2015. Total of 1.316 lobster were observed during this research. The data observed were species, carapace length (mm), weight (g) and gender. The aspects of fishing technique, season, marketing and lobster types were analyzed by using descriptive analysis, whereas the measurement data was analyzed by using  linear allometrik model to see the weight-length relationship with the equation of W = a Lb . The result showed that there are six types of lobster which landed in Sorong namely are; Panulirus ornatus, P. versicolor, P. longipes, P homarus, P penicillatus, and Thenus orientalis. Fishing season was carried the whole year which consists of the peak season (June, November, December), middle season (March-July, September-October) and bad season (August, January, February). The whole lobster observed in this research have negative allometric growth pattern which indicates that the lobster are in growth stage.

Abstract

This research was carried out because the information related to the size of fish capture and the status of exploiting S. boops was still very little, especially in the waters around Bitung. The appropriate size of capture and exploitation status can be used as a reference to assess whether the utilization of S. boops resources in the waters around Bitung is in accordance with the sustainable management guidelines for fish resources. This study aims (1) to get the size of the first caught fish (Lc); (2) get the size of fish first cooked gonad (Lm); (3) obtain S. boops business status. The sampling of fish was obtained from the Bitung coastal fishermen who landed his catch at the Bitung Ocean Port. Retrieval of fish sample data was carried out from February 2016 to January 2017 with a total samples 1,659 using the survey method. The results showed that the size of first captured 15.10 cm FL while the size of the first matured obtained 16.30 cm FL. The status of exploitation based on the comparison of Lc and Lm parameters that percentage of matured and the SPR value categorized as overfishing.

Abstract

Ekosistem hutan mangrove merupakan salah satu aset nasional yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional maupun daerah. Pemanfaatan sumberdaya ini, harus dilaksanakan dengan memperhatikan kelestarian fungsi dan keseimbangan lingkungan hidup sebagai dasar untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan.     Valuasi ekonomi sumberdaya hutan mangrove merupakan suatu kebutuhan yang segera dipenuhi sehingga semakin sempurnanya perencanaan pembangunan di daerah. Nilai total ekonomi hutan mangrove secara secara garis besar dapat dikelompokan sebagai nilai manfaat (use value) dan nilai bukan manfaat (non use value). Selanjutnya  bahwa nilai manfaat dapat dibagi lagi menjadi nilai guna langsung (direct use value) dan nilai guna tidak langsung  (indirect use value). Nilai manfaat berhubungan dengan nilai di mana masyarakat memanfaatkan atau berharap akan memanfaatkan di masa yang akan datang.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya potensi sumberdaya hutan mangrove dalam bentuk fisik dan mengetahui nilai ekonomi atau kekayaan sumberdaya hutan mangrove dalam bentuk moneter di Kelurahan Pasir Panjang, Kecamatan Lembeh Selatan-Kota Bitung. Manfaat yang dapat diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah memberikan informasi tentang kekayaan moneter sumberdaya hutan mangrove, sebagai  alat pertimbangan pengambilan kebijakan pembangunan dan pengelolaan sumberdaya alam dan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan.       Penyebaran hutan mangrove di Kelurahan Pasir Panjang berada pada daerah yang terlindung. Hasil penelitian diperoleh jenis hutan mangrove terdiri dari 5 famili yaitu Rhizophoraceae, Sonneratiacea, Avicenniaceae, Melliceacea, dan Myrsinaceae dengan 12 jenis yang mendominasi ditemui yaitu :  Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora stylosa, Rhizophora mucronata, Ceriops tagal, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Bruguiera cylindrica, Sonneratia alba, Avicennia marina,  Xylocarpus granatum, Xylocarpus moluccensis, Aegiceras corniculatum, dan Aegiceras floridium.     Hasil identifikasi terhadap nilai penggunaan hutan mangrove di Kelurahan Pasir Panjang, terdiri dari nilai manfaat langsung (direct use value) dan nilai manfaat  tidak langsung (indirect use value). Nilai manfaat langsung terdiri dari tiga guna yaitu : (1) nilai guna langsung pengambilan ikan, (2) nilai guna langsung pengambilan kepiting, dan (3) memiliki nilai potensi ekowisata. Nilai manfaat tidak langsung dari pemanfaatan hutan mangrove terdiri dari dua manfaat yaitu (1) sebagai nursery ground, dan (2) sebagai pelindung abrasi.      Hasil analisis nilai ekonomi sumberdaya hutan mangrove diperoleh nilai manfaat tidak langsung memiliki nilai tertinggi sebesar Rp 2.150.000.000,00/tahun, manfaat langsung sebesar Rp 523.292.000,00/tahun. Dari sumberdaya mangrove yang sudah dianalisis tersebut terdapat cadangan sumberdaya hutan mangrove sebesar Rp. 2.673.292.000,00/tahun.Kata kunci : valuasi ekonomi, nilai ekonomi mangrove

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendiskripsikan penangkapan udang penaeid di Kabupaten Kaimana setelah moratorium dan Pelarangan Penangkapan ikan dengan Pukat Hela/Pukat Tarik untuk memberi gambaran dalam perencanaan pengelolaan perikanan udang yang berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data penelitian adalah metode survei lapangan dengan mengikuti langsung kegiatan operasi penangkapan oleh nelayan, pengukuran alat tangkap dan wawancara yang dilakukan mulai bulan September – November 2017 kemudian diolah dan di bahas secara deskriptif. Penangkapan udang penaeid di Kabupaten Kaimana setelah moratorium dan Pelarangan Penangkapan ikan dengan Pukat Hela/Pukat Tarik dilakukan oleh nelayan skala kecil yang berasal dari daerah Arguni dan Nelayan Kaimana menggunakan trammel net dan jaring udang monofilament dengan menggunakan perahu katinting dan longboat motor tempel. Penangkapan udang dengan jaring udang PA monofilament dilakukan pada perairan pesisir pantai pada kedalamanan 1 – 5 meter dan penangkapan udang dengan trammel net dilakukan pada perairan pesisir pantai pada kedalamanan 5 – 20 m. Umumnya dasar perairan lumpur berpasir dengan warna perairan keruh abu-abu, dan sepanjang pantai terdapat hutan mangrove dengan hasil tangkapan didominasi udang banana. Musim penangkapan terjadi pada bulan November – April untuk Perairan Arguni, dan Juni – Oktober di Perairan Teluk Kaimana.

Abstract

Abstract

      Information technology is growing rapidly with various facilities that can be obtained through various fields of work. Information technology can also be found in the field of work on fishing vessels. One of the means of communication that is being used by Indonesian commercial vessels (excluding fishing vessels) in the last two years is the Automatic Identification System (AIS). AIS is a Maritime Navigation System and Radio Communication. This system aims to improve life safety at sea, safety and efficiency of shipping and protection of the marine environment by communicating navigation information automatically on VHF channels between ships, as well as from ships and shore.     Fishing technology is gradually changing in the use of fishing aids with various ease of operation. Information technology developed by prioritizing easy access to data and information in the use of fishing aids. One of the information technologies used today is the use of AIS devices in ship’s navigation and marking fishing gear that is being operated.  AIS is a maritime navigation and radio communication system. This system aims to improve life safety at sea, safety and efficiency navigation as well as the protection of the marine environment by automatically communicating navigational information on the VHF channel between ships, through AtoN and shore stations. Various technological innovations developed with this AIS device have resulted in AIS hybrid that can be used as a fishing gear, especially as a fishing gear marker      Fishing aids that have been used so far by fishermen in terms of marking fishing gear that are being operated are marker buoys, radio buoys supported by RDF devices. The use of AIS hybrid in fishing techniques with long lines or other fishing gear is one of the technological developments, especially the use of AIS hybrid as a tool or a marker when fishing gear is operated.         The use of AIS hybrid on fishing vessels as a marker for fishing gear has not been widely applied in Indonesia. This needs to be introduced to fishermen or fishing vessel officers as has been used on foreign fishing vessels operating in Indonesian EEZ waters.  In order to avoid errors in accessing AIS data in the vessels tracking lane due to the AIS hybrid, it is recommended that the AIS hybrid MMSI number be issued by the competent authority in accordance with the applicable provisions of the IMO standard.
