Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan beberapa analisis kritis tentang formulasi ritmis dan karakteristiknya dalam pembelajaran musik. Pembahasan Ritmis dalam pembelajaran musik menjadi sangat penting untuk dipelajari karena berkaitan dengan proses pembelajaran musik pada tahap selanjutnya. Pendekatan Desain Based Research digunakan sebagai landasan awal dalam mengkaji formula ritmis dalam pembelajaran musik. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mata kuliah Teori Musik pada Prodi Pendidikan Musik, Universitas Negeri Padang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat beberapa karakteristik dalam jenis-jenis silabel ritmis. Salah satu karakteristik dari ritmis yang sering dijumpai adalah ketika mahasiswa tidak memahami secara menyeluruh tentang nilai atau durasi pada not, maka mahasiswa akan mengalami kendala dalam membaca ritmis dengan tepat. Selanjutnya, mahasiswa akan mengalami kendala dalam menuliskan notasi baik pada notasi balok maupun notasi angka. Seluruh karakteristik tersebut nantinya akan bermuara pada mata kuliah Praktik Instrumen Mayor. Penelitian ini masih pada tataran analisis singkat terkait dengan kendala yang dihadapi pada pembelajaran ritmis, sehingga diharapkan pembahasan tentang ritmis dapat dilakukan pada penelitian selanjutnya.

Abstract

This research examines the production process of making Minangkabau wind instrument, Bansi, produced by Hamdan Thawil. This research began by observing the stages of making Bansi, then about production factors that affect the production process. The results of this study include; 1) the selection and processing of raw materials, 2) the use of tools, 3) the manufacturing phase of Bansi and the factors of production; 1) natural resource factor, 2) human resource factor, 3) capital resource factor and 4) expertise/ skill factor. The research was conducted with a case study approach and using qualitative methods. Data collection techniques were carried out using participatory observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. Organologi Bansi: Alat Musik Tiup Minangkabau Produksi Hamdan Thawil di Padangpanjang. Penelitian ini mengkaji proses produksi pembuatan alat musik tiup Minangkabau, Bansi, produksi Hamdan Thawil. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan mengamati tahapan pembuatan bansi, kemudian tentang faktor-faktor produksi yang mempengaruhi proses produksi. Hasil penelitian ini meliputi; 1) pemilihan dan pengolahan bahan baku, 2) penggunaan alat, 3) tahap pembuatan bansi dan faktor produksi; 1) faktor sumber daya alam, 2) faktor sumber daya manusia, 3) faktor sumber daya permodalan dan 4) faktor keahlian/keterampilan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan studi kasus dan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi partisipatif, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan triangulasi.

Abstract

Kompang lives together with Malay Bengkalis people that majority of them are Muslims. Kompang as an art is present in the celebration of cultural events and it becomes the part of Malay Bengkalis people’s cultural processions. In this writing, it is discussed the social interaction and Kompang existence in the people of Dusun Delik as the area of Kompang art development. This research step used the qualitative method, with the approaches of anthropology, sociology, and ethnomusicology. The technique of data collection was conducted by doing observation, interview, and documentation. Those data were triangulated and coupled into sentences together with researcher’s observation and interpretation. Research result is the existence of a reciprocal relationship and social interaction in its society. In one side, Kompang has a role in its people condition; on the other side, Kompang lives and develops together with its people’s participation. Kompang in its social form is about humans’ relations in their societal group, while its spiritual form is praises and shalawat and salam sung together with the rhythm of jawab (tamsilam) and hadi (berzanji) lyrics.Keywords: Kompang Art, Social Interaction, Dusun Delik People

Abstract

Masyarakat Minangkabau menganut falsafah-falsafah sebagai konsepsi yang implikasikan ke dalam kebudayaannya, salahsatunya yaitu dengan kehadiran kesenian. Kesenian dalam kebudayaan masyarakat Minangkabau hidup dan berkembang bersama perjalanan waktu serta daya kreativitas masyarakatnya dinamis. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan melakukan pengamatan terhadap kesenian, khususnya yang berhubungan dengan tradisi dan kreativitas dalam kebudayaan masyarakat Minangkabau dengan menggunakan pendekatan Hermeneutik dan studi literatur. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pengamatan mengenai bentuk-bentuk seni tradisi Minangkabau khususnya musik tadisi dan perkembangannya pada masyarakat Minangkabau. Hasil dan pembahasan dari penelitian ini antara lain mengenai; bentuk-bentuk kesenian tradisi Minangkabau dan kesenian dalam kebudayaan Minangkabau.

Abstract

All music products born by people who have Islamic culture are actually rich musical potential to be transformed into new musical works based on spiritual Islam. The cultivation of this musical composition is to realize musical ideas inspired by traditional Islamic art activities that show the spiritual presence in the Minangkabau community, becoming a new musical composition. In education, see the extent to which Islamic culture can be created or developed that is still within the tolerance of society based on aesthetic and spiritual Islamic approaches and knowledge of creation. The research method is carried out with an ethnographic approach, in field work activities studio work is also carried out.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the existence seen from the use and function of the Gandang Lasuang art at a wedding ceremony in Jorong Pasa Lamo, Sasak Ranah Pasisia District, West Pasaman Regency. This research uses qualitative approach. The research conducted in Jorong Pasa Lamo. The results of the study show that the existence of the Gandang Lasuang has indeed experienced various advances from year to year. Judging from its use where this art was formerly only used as a medium for entertaining the community when pounding rice, but now it has been used as a traditional crowd event in the community who is holding wedding ceremonies and other uses as well as a welcoming ceremony or other artistic performances both in the nagari. or outside the area. The results of the research that has been done can be seen in the form of Gandang Lasuang Art as a means of entertainment, communication, cultural preservation functions and community integration functions.Keywords: existence; function; art; Gandang Lasuang; West PasamanAbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan eksistensi dilihat dari penggunaan dan fungsi kesenian Gandang Lasuang pada upacara pesta perkawinan di Jorong Pasa Lamo Kecamatan Sasak Ranah Pasisia Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. Jenis penelitian menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Jorong Pasa Lamo. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa eksistensi kesenian Gandang Lasuang ini memang mengalami berbagai kemajuan dari tahun ke tahun. Dilihat dari penggunaannya, kesenian ini dahulunya hanya dijadikan sebagai media penghibur bagi masyarakat pada saat menumbuk padi, tapi sekarang sudah digunakan sebagai acara keramaian adat serta dalam melangsungkan upacara pesta perkawinan. Penggunaan lainnya juga sebagai pengisi acara penyambutan atau penampilan kesenian lainnya baik dalam nagari maupun keluar daerah. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat dilihat beberapa berupa Kesenian Gandang Lasuang sebagai sarana hiburan, komunikasi, fungsi pelestarian budaya dan fungsi pengintegrasian masyarakat.Kata Kunci: eksistensi, fungsi, kesenian; Gandang Lasuang; Pasaman Barat

Abstract

The potential of local culture in tourism development is part of the product of human creativity which has economic value. The research objective is to analyze local culture as a tourism attraction in Payakumbuh City which is packaged in the form of performances, in the pockets of tourist attractions served by junior high school students. The research method used is qualitative analysis through direct observation and in-depth interviews with related parties to the research. To analyze the potential and problems in local culture as a tourism attraction at each research location, including the potential and internal and external problems. Culture, especially in the City of Payakumbuh, in general, has unique potential and a center for art products, namely Sikatuntuang, which can be developed to increase local cultural tourism. The strategy of packaging local culture, especially the art of brush, the city of Payakumbuh, is used as packaging for performing arts that attracts tourists to come to the city Besides being served in pockets of nature tourism in the City of Payakumbuh, there is also a Payakumbuh Fair, which can be used as a media for promotion and introduction of cultural tourism destinations for people in need both nationally and internationally.

Abstract

Serdam is an artistic product in the form of a wind instrument, the only one in West Lampung and made of bamboo. Serdam is usually used to accompany oral literary vocals such as muayak, hahadoh, hahiwang and dance music along with other traditional Lampung musical instruments. The bamboo used for the manufacture of Serdam is bamboo of the type of bamban  and is often found in the plantations of the people of West Lampung. The purpose of this study is to describe the physical form, tools and materials, the process of making Serdam, sound source and tone system and how to play the Serdam. Serdam has many physical similarities to bamboo wind instruments from other regions, but Serdam has a distinctive blowing technique and tone. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative research method. The data obtained from this study with data collection methods by observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that the Serdam wind instrument is made of bamboo bamban  which is often found in the plantations of the people of West Lampung. Serdam has a shape like a long tube that has four melody holes and one blow hole. This musical instrument still uses a traditional manufacturing process to this day. Serdam as the only wind instrument originating from West Lampung has many organological peculiarities that are not yet known by the supporting community.

Abstract

Alam Takambang Jadi Guru merupakan falsafah yang melandasi cara berpikir masyarakat Minangkabau. Falsafah ini juga sebagai norma-norma adat dan turunannya untuk menjalankan kehidupan yang diatur dalam adat Minangkabau. Jejak  Alam Takambang Jadi Guru atau "segala sesuatu yang ada di ‘alam’ dapat dijadikan guru" terlihat jelas dari penggunaan kata-kata yang berasal dari “alam” (sifat, tumbuhan, hewan, benda, tempat dan kegiatan maupun peristiwa atau kejadian) sebagai bagian dari norma adat yang mengatur setiap tindakan masyarakat Minangkabau baik individu maupun kelompok. Penggunaan kata maupun tutur yang merujuk kepada “alam” dalam setiap falsafah dan norma adat mengacu pada makna kiasan, sehingga falsafah dan norma adat tersebut mampu untuk memunculkan arti serta maknanya. Filosofi Alam Takambang Jadi Guru juga berdampak pada kesenian khususnya musik tradisional Minangkabau. Hal ini terlihat dalam syair dendang dan penamaan repertoar-repertoar musik tradisional Minangkabau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat sejauh mana falsafah Alam Takambang Jadi Guru digunakan dan bagaimana munculnya dalam kesenian ksususnya musik tradisional Minangkabau sebagai representatif dari falsafah itu sendiri. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi serta studi literatur. Hasilnya adalah ditemukannya beberapa repertoar kesenian tradisional Minangkabau dengan menggunakan kata maupun tutur yang merujuk kepada “alam” sebagai jejak dari falsafah Alam Takambang Jadi Guru. Nama maupun tutur tersebut hadir dalam repertoar-repertoar musik tradisional Minangkabau yang sesuai dengan interpretasi masyarakat Minangkabau dalam melihat fenomena “alam”.   Alam Takambang Jadi Guru is a philosophy that underlies the way of thinking of the Minangkabau people as customary norms and derivatives to carry out a life regulated in custom. The traces of Alam Takambang Jadi Guru, or "everything in nature can be used as a teacher", is seen from the use of words derived from “nature” (Characteristic, plants, animals, objects, places and activities or events) as part of customary norms that regulate every action of the Minangkabau community both individuals and groups. The use of names and speech that refer to "nature" in every philosophy and customary norm refers to figurative meanings so that these traditional philosophies and standards can bring out their meanings. The Philosophy of Alam Takambang Jadi Guru also impacts art, mainly traditional Minangkabau music. This can be seen in the dendang poetry and the naming of traditional Minangkabau music repertoire. This study aims to know the extent to which the philosophy of Alam Takambang Jadi  Guru is used and how the emergence in the arts, especially Minangkabau traditional music, represents the philosophy itself. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data collection is carried out by interview, observation and literature study techniques. The result was the discovery of several repertoires of traditional Minangkabau arts using words and words that refer to "nature" as traces of the philosophy of Alam Takambang Jadi Guru. The name and speech are present in the repertoire of traditional Minangkabau music following the interpretation of the Minangkabau people in seeing the phenomenon of nature.

Abstract

Indonesian National Education aims to develop all the potential of students so that they can be applied and used in real life. Singing as a material, tool, and resource in art education in elementary schools is carried out to balance aesthetic, creative, expressive, and appreciative knowledge. Although singing lessons have been implemented, the knowledge and skills required are not by the planned objectives. Students are not yet skilled in singing in harmony because the rhythm and melody underlying the song lyrics are not appropriate. The purpose of the study was to try out the solfeggio method, namely the practice of reading songs according to rhythm and melody. The research design, namely: 1. Identify students' initial abilities and needs. 2. Designing the required learning materials, 3. Carrying out learning using the solfeggio method in a structured and graded manner. The results of the study are (a) students understand notes, beats, bars, and tempos and are skilled at reading song rhythms, (b) students understand notes, scales, pitch intervals, and chords and are skilled at reading song melodies, (c) students are skilled at singing in harmony according to rhythm and melody.
