Abstract

Kontrol diri pada masa remaja sangat diperlukan dalam setiap aktivitas kehidupan, termasuk aktivitas belajar di sekolah. Kontrol diri yang baik dalam belajar di sekolah diperlukan agar siswa menjalani proses belajar dengan baik pula. Akan tetapi fakta di lapangan menunjukkan masih ada siswa yang  tidak mampu mengontrol dirinya saat proses belajar berlangsung seperti menggangu teman, siswa mudah terpengaruh untuk melakukan kegiatan yang menganggu aktivitas belajar seperti berbicara dengan teman sebangku, ke kantin saat proses belajar berlangsung, mencontek dan kegiatan lainnya yang berdampak tidak efektifnya proses belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan kontrol diri siswa dalam proses belajar di sekolah dan mengungkapkan persepsi siswa tehadap guru  BK untuk meningkatkan kontrol diri melalui aspek kontol perilaku, kognitif, keterampilan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif yang akan mendeskripsikan kontrol diri siswa dalam belajar di SMKN 10 Padang dan persepsi siswa terhadap upaya guru BK untuk meningkatkan kontrol diri. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas X dan XI di SMKN 10 Padang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Stratified Random Sampling sehingga diperoleh sampel sebanyak 78 orang siswa dan pengumpulan data  dengan menggunakan angket. Data dianalisis dengan teknik statistik yaitu rumus persentase.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kontrol diri siswa dalam belajar di sekolah pada aspek kontrol perilaku berada pada kategori sedang dengan jumlah persentase 60,26%,aspek kontrol kognitif berada pada kategori sedang dengan jumlah persentase 60,26%, aspek kontrol keputusan berada pada kategori sedang, dengan jumlah persentase 48,72% dan persepsi siswa terhadap upaya guru BK untuk meningkatkan kontrol diri berada pada kategori rendah dengan jumlah persentase 42%

Abstract

Orangtua merupakan orang yang pertama dan utama dalam memberikan pendidikan terutama dalam mendisiplinkan anak. Disiplin dipandang sebagai upaya pengendalian diri dan sikap mental individu dalam kehidupan keluarga dan masyarakat dalam mengembangkan kepatuhan terhadap peraturan dan tata tertib yang berlaku yang bermanfaat dalam belajar. Berdasarkan fakta yang ditemukan di sekolah menunjukan bahwa banyak terjadi ketidak disiplinan oleh siswa seperti sering terlambat daatang ke sekolah, bolos, tidak mengerjakan tugas, keluar masuk di waktu pelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran orangtua dalam disiplin belajar siswa, yang dilihat dari aspek: 1) peran orangtua dalam mengawasi anak dalam belajar, 2) Peran orangtua dalam mengajarkan kemandirian pada anak , 3) Peran orangtua dalam mengenali teknik belajar anak, 4) membantu menghilangkan kecemasan dan kejenuhan anak dalam belajar. Jenis penelitian ini berbentuk deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa SMA Negeri 7 Padang dengan jumlah 902 siswa dan Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 239 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket dan data dianalisis dengan teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa secara keseluruhan peran orangtua dalam disiplin belajar siswa pada umumnya cenderung berada pada kategori cukup baik ditinjau dari aspek :1) Peran orangtua mengawasi anak dalam belajar cenderung berada pada kategori cukup baik, 2) Peran orangtua dalam mengajarkan kemandirian pada anak cenderung berada pada kategori cukup baik, 3) Peran orangtua dalam mengenali teknik belajar anak cenderung berada pada kategori baik, 4) membantu menghilangkan kecemasan dan kejenuhan anak dalam belajar cenderung berada pada kategori cukup baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran orangtua dalam disiplin belajar siswa berada pada kategori cukup baik.

Abstract

Habit is good one of the factors that support the achievement of student achievement. In fact there are still students who have bad habits in learning such as: not concentrating on taking lessons, not paying attention to the teacher when explaining lessons, and talking with friends when the teacher explains lessons, as well as going in and out of class when studying to smoke in stalls around the school This study aims to describe the characteristics of student smoking habits based on emotional, physical, cognitive, and motivational aspects. This research uses descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research subjects were 50 boys who were obtained using purposive sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that the study habits of students at SMA Negeri 16 Padang are in the good category.

Abstract

Saturation of learning is a condition in which students feel bored, tired, lack of attention in lessons, no interest and motivation in learning and do not bring results. In fact there are still students who experience saturation in learning. This study aims to describe (1) Saturation Learning of Student in Senior High Scholl 8 Padang based on aspects of emotional fatigue, (2) Saturation Learning of Student in Senior High Scholl 8 Padang based on aspects of physical fatigue, (3) Student learning saturation in Padang 8 High School based on aspects cognitive fatigue, (4) Saturation Learning of Student in Senior High Scholl 8 Padang based on aspects of motivation loss. This study uses quantitative methods with descriptive research types. The population of this research is the students of  Senior High Scholl 8 Padang in class X and XI with a total of 603 students. With a sample of 240 students selected using the proportional random sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. Data is processed using percentage techniques. The results of this study indicate that Saturation Learning of Student in Senior High Scholl 8 Padang is in a more detailed low category  (1) Saturation Learning of Student in Senior High Scholl 8 Padang based on aspects of emotional fatigue is in the low category, (2) Saturation Learning of Student in Senior High Scholl 8 Padang based on aspects of physical fatigue are in the low category, (3) Saturation Learning of Student in Senior High Scholl 8 Padang based on aspects of cognitive fatigue are in the low category, (4) Saturation Learning of Student in Senior High Scholl 8 Padang based on aspects of motivation loss is in the low category.

Abstract

Authoritarian parenting is characterized by the characteristics of the attitude of parents who are rigid and hard in applying the rules and discipline, the discipline will be realized through coaching from an early age, since young, starting from the family environment through education that is embedded from a young age which is increasingly united in themselves with increasing age, therefore in addition to getting fostered from school most parents use an authoritarian parenting pattern to foster and educate child discipline early on. This study aims to examine the relationship of authoritarian parenting with student discipline. This research is a descriptive correlational research with quantitative methods. Sampling in this study used stratified random sampling with a sample of 216 students. The research instrument used was a questionnaire for parental authoritarian parenting and student discipline. The results showed that (1) parenting mostly tends to apply authoritarian parenting (2) there is a positive relationship between parental authoritarian parenting with student discipline.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon in the field still found students who have low interpersonal communication in following the learning process. One factor that causes interpersonal communication is that not all students are able to make effective communication in the learning process and the lack of self-concept students have. This study aims to look at the general picture of students' interpersonal communication, self-concept. Test the relationship of self-concept to students' interpersonal communication. This research is a descriptive correlational study. With a sample of 102 students selected using a sampling technique chosen by simple random sampling technique. Data collection using self-concept questionnaire and student interpersonal communication with Likert scale model. The results of this study indicate: (1) self-concept is in the high category with a score of 47 and the percentage of 46.1%, (2) interpersonal communication is in the moderate category with a score of 89 and the percentage of 87.3% (3) there is a significant positive relationship between self concept with interpersonal communication with rxy = 0.439 and a significant level of 0,000. The findings of this study can be a reference for BK teachers in making programs to provide BK services to students.

Abstract

Someone who has good emotional intelligence will be able to recognize and manage their own emotions, be able to motivate themselves, recognize other people's emotions and be able to build good relationships with others. Every individual has different emotional intelligence depending on the factors that affect emotional intelligence itself. One of the factors that affect emotional intelligence is gender. This study aims to determine how the differences in students' emotional intelligence based on gender. This research is a type of comparative descriptive research, with a research sample of 282 students of SMA Negeri 1 Padang who were registered in the 2020/2021 academic year, divided into 123 male students and 159 female students. The results of this study are (1) the emotional intelligence of male students is in the medium category, (2) the emotional intelligence of female students is in the medium category, and (3) there is no significant difference between the emotional intelligence of male students and female students in SMA Negeri 1 Padang.

Abstract

Learning is a process carried out by someone in obtaining a change in behavior as a whole, as a result of interaction with the environment. Related to learning interest is something that is related to individuals in meeting their needs through activities. The interest in learning referred to in this study is a sense of pleasure in learning, interest in learning, attention in learning, and involvement in learning. This study aims to examine whether there are differences in students' interest in studying Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIA) in public and private schools. Sampling in this study using proporsioal  random sampling technique with a total sample of 154 students. The research instrument used was a student interest questionnaire. The results of the study use that (1) the level of interest in learning MIA specialization in public schools is in the high category (2) the level of interest in learning in MIA specialization in private schools is in the high category (3) there is no significant difference between the learning interests of MIA specialization students in schools public and private schools.

Abstract

Ideally, classical counseling is carried out so that students are active, creative and enthusiastic in the learning process according to the demands of the 2013 curriculum. In fact, counseling teachers still provide services using the lecture method, so students go in and out of learning, lie down, talk to friends and others. From interviews with counseling teachers, counseling teachers often perceive the provision of classical services by students as boring and useless lectures, and many students are not interested in taking classical services. The purpose of this study was to see how "Perceptions of Class VII Students Against Classical Guidance Services at SMP Negeri 26 Padang". This type of research is a descriptive study using quantitative methods. The population of this research was 239 students of class VII at SMP Negeri 26 Padang, and the sample of this research was 149 students who were selected by using proportional random sampling technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire about the perceptions of grade VII students towards classical guidance services at SMP Negeri 26 Padang Likert scale model. Data analysis using the percentage formula. The results of the study revealed that: (1) The opening of services by BK teachers was in the very good category. (2) The use of methods by BK teachers is in the good category. (3) The use of media by BK teachers is in the good category. (4) Guidance for counseling teachers is in the good category. (5) Conducting evaluation by BK teachers is in the very good category. (6) The time spent by counseling teachers is in the poor category. Based on the findings of this study, it is hoped that guidance and counseling teachers should be able to improve the quality of performance by being more creative and innovative in opening services, methods, media, service materials, evaluation and service time to better suit student needs.

Abstract

Attendance is one of the factors supporting the success of students in learning. However, the number of students who often do not go to school without any clear explanation, they are around the school and wearing school uniforms while sitting in stalls near the school while smoking. The reason given was because of being bored in class, disliked certain subjects that were considered difficult such as mathematics, and invited by classmates to play truant.This study aims to determine what factors are causing students to play truant in SMA N 1 X Koto Singkarak as seen from the factors; (1) students themselves, (2) families, (3) schools, and (4) communities in the school environment. Research subjects were 49 students. This type of research is classified as descriptive research using a research instrument that is a questionnaire and analyzed using percentage analysis techniques.The research findings reveal that the factors causing students to play truant are in the medium category with details 1.) The factors causing students to play truant in terms of students themselves are in the high category, 2.) The factors causing students to play truant in terms of family factors are in the low category, 3.) The factors causing students to play truant in terms of the school factor are in the medium category, and 4.) the factors that cause students to play truant in terms of the community in the school environment are in the medium category.
